Darktail is a ragged, big, muscular, glossy white tommwith black spots breaking up the white, black spots around his vivid blue eyes, huge paws, and a long black tail

I didn't read the books he was in but he seems so interesting!!

DARKTAIL AU!

My new au!

In it, Darktail becomes kind.

But the Smoke... She's a cold-blooded killer!

Darktail was just following her orders, fearing his own mother. He saved Needletail from death, but in the future she would still die protecting Violetshine. Sleekwhisker is just as rude here, but still softens and even in the future will become a devoted warrior of the shadow tribe!

After the death of his mother, (Smoke drowned in the lake along with the Onestar.) he continues to be seen as a cruel cat, like Smoke.

Tawnypelt supports him, because she once faced the distrust of her fellow tribesmen.

[I think Sleekwhisker and Darktail would have become a couple, but they wouldn't have had kittens.]

Moonkit looks a lot like Darktail…. Is Harespring Onestar’s kit? If so Moonkit must be giving him major guilt and flashbacks

Hi! Thank you for asking!! Moonpaw is designed to specifically resemble Darktail yeah :]!! Harespring isn't related to Onestar at all, but the resemblance is what makes Onestar so much harder on Moonpaw than Daypaw or Flarepaw.

Harespring in this au actually steps up to take care of his kits when they're brought to Windclan, and especially with Moonpaw looking so much like Darktail, Onestar can't help but build up a bit of selfish resentment since Harespring did what he could not; stepping up for his kits despite their heritage, and despite what the clan would think of them.

This is actually why Onestar eventually selects Harespring as his deputy — he believes Harespring a stronger tom than he.

So, there's no way in hell that Darktail is Onewhisker's and Smoke's kit.

Neither have white patches in their coat, and neither of Onewhisker's parents have white patches.

It's physically impossible for Darktail to be 50%+ white and also be Onewhisker's baby.
