The stranger keeps looking expectantly at you while he is curved, waiting for you to accept or deny this next dance with him.”

I’ve been listening to a lot of Dark waltz recently and it put me in the mood of drawing Black Hat dancing. Then I saw this really cool image (don’t know who the author was as I forgot their name ;-;) where Demencia had her hair tied in a really long braid and I wanted to draw her with a braided hair as well…
So, here’s the creation of a dark waltz masquerade, probably happening in the Día De Los Muertos or something… I dunno… And I had the sudden want to draw a dress so frick it Demencia is using a dress now.
And I’m aware that BH’s right arm is kinda strange… I feel it’s somehow too long… But I was tired and I wanted to finish the lineart so it stayed like that. And I had not a single drop of willpower left to do that curtain so it’s lazily made as well… I don’t care… I tried my best...
And about Black Hat dancing with Demencia in a ball… Believe what you want, this might be real or it might be one of Demecia’s hallucinations who knows? I certainly don’t.
And I have no idea why BH’s fedora has two feathers… Don’t ask me...

The aura was intoxicating. Terra could hardly think in the presence of powerful magic - and one that reminded her strongly of her own was all the more confusing. If there wasn’t more pressing matters buzzing about in her mind, she would allow that aura to overwhelm her and become lost in it. But that was a dangerous thought, considering who it was coming from.

So she kept her distance, fearing the boiling curiosity that dared rise whenever he was in the vicinity. Terra was always careful when it came to these types of auras and powers alike. Yet, this one, because of similarities, was difficult to shake. If she could only draw closer, maybe the mystery would be solved, putting a stop to such dangers.

Pressed to a stone twice her size, Terra peered around, searching for silver and lilac. He was near - had to be. The Esperkin had been following for some time now.

Terra stared at the pizza box, her own slice beginning to sag and droop from the overweight of cheese. It just hit her. Such a delicious treat was better shared and she hadn’t asked Alisaie if she wanted any. They were sitting next to each other in silence up till now. A wave of panic crashed over her then.

She must’ve looked completely selfish for indulging right in front of company - without a word.

Blue eyes slowly drifted to the left, focusing on the white haired lady, gauging what action to take next. Finally, Terra spoke up, “Um... if you’d like... there’s plenty, so... if you want some... go ahead.” And of course she had stumbled over the words. She must’ve looked like a complete idiot.

“Dark Nation...” Fingers expertly rubbed the ears of such a magnificent beast. It was purring, enjoying her company a bit too much. Her aura radiated calm. Honestly, if Rufus hadn’t said something else, she would’ve been content for hours simply loving the pet. “Huh? Oh... ah...”

Terra tried not to look at the blond. It was obvious she was ashamed for her childish weakness to animals. “Sorry... I just... uhm... w-well I saw light from this house and when I came to investigate, I saw Dark Nation and knew I had to pet him.” It wasn't a good reason, but it was honest.

Lightly, Terra placed her hands upon the Guado’s sleeve. It was a silent plea - one she hoped he heeded but knew it would be fruitless. She wanted this all to end. The fighting, the pain, the death... Why did he feel it necessary to contribute to it all? 

She shifted closer, pressing her entire body against his much larger form and rested emerald head to his back. She had no experience when it came to showing affection of any kind, so hesitated a long moment before slowly, arms encircled his torso. Hands lay flat to torso, fingertips tingling from the warmth he provided.
