So I’m aware I haven’t really posted anything in a while but I hope this reaches someone. My brother’s name is Efren. Growing up he used to tease and make fun of me, but among all the teasing he also helped raise me along with our mom. When he was little he wanted to be an architect. But his is the story that a lot of Mexican American working class families face: either take the opportunities available to you to attain your dreams, or curtail those in order to take care of your family. He chose his family. After graduating high school he turned down full ride scholarships in order to stay and work to help pay the bills. It was just him, my mom, and me. After a couple of years we got stable enough economically that he was able to go to college, but after graduation we fell on hard times again and instead of finding work in his field or applying to architecture school like he always dreamed, he decided to stick around and help us again. It’s because of his choice to help our family that I was able to go to college too, something that for a time I didn’t think was possible. It’s because of him that I was able to apply to and get accepted into a PhD program in the hopes of becoming a professor. It’s because of him that my mom has a house to call her own. My mom and I owe him everything. Yesterday, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). He’s uninsured. I’m a student, our mom works in childcare. There’s a high success rate for remission if he gets treatment, but we can’t afford it. He’s all me and my mom have, and we can’t lose him. He chose family growing up, and it’s my turn to choose him. Please, any donation helps. I just want him to come home.

I know times are tough with covid and everything so if anyone could please just spare a dollar or a reblog thatd be great. I can’t lose him.

VIRTUAL VILLAINOUS CONFERENCE - PIXELATL

There are A LOT more of images, check out the conference at the end of the post! Here’s the summary of what was said:

-The special event will happen earlier than expected! It will be the first thing to come out, before the actual episodes! It’ll be announced in CN’s social media accounts- both LATAM and USA!!!

-The characters were modified a little bit, as you can see in the reference sheets. Black Hat looks a lot darker now, I love it.

-The images you see above are concept arts of the upcoming episodes, we’ll see a lot of new places!

-They are going to introduce a lot of new characters, and they told us the name of a new hero (the buff guy), called OMEGA NUCLEAR.

-We’ll see a villain court!!

-The Hat Island ‘corrupts’ the sea, like it blackens it with evil, as we see in one of the images (check the vid for this one).

-Flug modified the ship after the fight with Sunblast.

-MISS HEED REVEAL. GO CHECK HER INSTAGRAM miss_heed  

-The hardest thing in the production of the first season was the COVID situation, because the voice actors couldn’t go to the studio and record their voices properly.

-505’s name is like that because it’s supposed to mean SOS.

-The main message that the show wants to give can’t be revealed yet. But one of the messages is that nothing’s black and white (except BH and 505), they want to show us that the villains aren’t all that bad (like Penumbra) and that they’re all grey, as well as the heroes.

-‘Will there be a recurrent hero in the series?’ ‘Wait and see’

-The release of the episodes is closer but they don’t want to give dates because COVID can set things back

Second... Why tf do I keep thinking this would’ve happened someday as, according to Black Hat himself “at my time we used to tie the girls in a train rail”... or something along those lines... Which means that he most definitively used a moustache at some point of his life...

I’ve been listening to a lot of Dark waltz recently and it put me in the mood of drawing Black Hat dancing. Then I saw this really cool image (don’t know who the author was as I forgot their name ;-;) where Demencia had her hair tied in a really long braid and I wanted to draw her with a braided hair as well…
So, here’s the creation of a dark waltz masquerade, probably happening in the Día De Los Muertos or something… I dunno… And I had the sudden want to draw a dress so frick it Demencia is using a dress now.
And I’m aware that BH’s right arm is kinda strange… I feel it’s somehow too long… But I was tired and I wanted to finish the lineart so it stayed like that. And I had not a single drop of willpower left to do that curtain so it’s lazily made as well… I don’t care… I tried my best...
And about Black Hat dancing with Demencia in a ball… Believe what you want, this might be real or it might be one of Demecia’s hallucinations who knows? I certainly don’t.
And I have no idea why BH’s fedora has two feathers… Don’t ask me...

Welp, Black Hat has a pet sneak so it only makes sense that White Hat should have a pet... Something... As well, and I decided to make it a very small dove he saved from dying at Clemencia’s desperate request. 

Although fusing the bird with some of his magic to prevent its death did have some consequences on the small creature that now is somehow bond to White Hat, receiving the name Dovey from the hyperactive little girl.

Another consequence the small bird had after bonding with White Hat is the change of his feathers from white to something akin to rainbow; coating the bird’s feathers and shining in variable colors whenever the light changes even in the slightest on his body. Something that, from Clem’s perspective, is extremely cool as the small bird always seem to be shining.

Welp, I just wanted to do a small snek... And then I wanted to do Black Hat... So, taking into account that lil’Jack can change sizes (on my AU), I decided to do both... Now we have a little feathered noodle alongside its master.

And I’m thinking my next drawing might be a fully colored drawing of my version of white hat, or maybe a small comic with him and Dr. Slug I’m not sure... I’ve never really made any comics so I have no idea how it’ll turn out to be, I’m more on the writing side of things... .-.

I think we’ll see Black Hat at least once or twice every episode as he is definitely not a character to be around children - that stuff will be nightmare fuel LMAO, so he might be pushed back somewhat.

I do believe this is the better route tought, even if we end up with not seeing Black Hat during an entire episode. If he starts showing up too much CartoonNetwork might want to make BH more Family Friendly and I do not want to see this awful, evil creature being transformed into a poney ,-,

Knowing Alan from his posts if CN press for a friendlier BH he might make a satirical episode where White Hat appears or something, that would be cool to see. At least I think so.

I'm pretty sad that in the show we may not see much of black hat, he's a huge fav of mine. But I wouldn't change it either. It would keep him being mysterious if he only showed up once in awhile

Keep in mind we technically only saw 1 ep, many things can happen and Alan can change his mind xD He’ll be shown in all episodes but if there’s a mission involved, the other three will deal with it cus it’s their job, but BH’s always there

So, I've decided to make some doodles on White Hat from a mostly well-knwon Villainous AU. I honestly don't know who have created the original Heroic AU/Benevolent AU (I've seen it being called this in different places) but I can say this WH belongs to a personal Heroic AU I've been thinking about these past few days after I got somewhat... Obsessed with the show...Basically in my AU White Hat is an Eldritch that has chosen to oblige with human rules and moral codes in order to be a "good guy", only refusing to believe that Death Sentences in the justice system are bad and shouldn't exist as everyone deserves as many chances as they are willing to take in order to reform themselves from the villainous ways.White Hat is a caring entity that can only manage to hate seeing death, being horrified at the notion of humans needing to eat other living beings - he got over it after some time... A long time actually...But him choosing to be good does not mean he is free from his Eldritch origins, which leads him to be... Unstable... Sometimes when someone, or something, manages to get under his skin during a bad moment.Which leads us to the knowledge of Black Hat also existing in this AU as I simply love to see the two of them bickering at each other.I mainly have a basic idea of how White Hat and Black Hat relationship works and how other character's appeared on their hat mansions and manage to enter their life's.

Black hat showing someone that’s really going to have a very bad day his pet-snake Lil’Jack. A feathered little thing Dementia brought to him after going to Amazon to steal some old artifacts in an attempt to please her master.

At first Black Hat wasn’t very fond of the small thing but after seeing Dr.Flug acting extremely jumpy and as if his life was on a thread around the snake - something that amused the Eldritch to no end as he could just lay back and see the terror being inflicted in the soul of his “employee”, he decided to keep it.

The snake was named Jack by Dementia and Black Hat never seemed to be bothered enough to change it.
