The multiverse was vast and weird, as Danny quickly found out. Various earths had differences, in their histories, in their populations, and in certain aspects of their realities. It turns out in his native reality, the separation between his world and the afterlife was thinner than most.
He’d spent years traveling his world and what his parents had called the ghost zone. More accurately it was the astral realm, a reality overlapping the earth’s where spirits dwelt that intersected with various afterlives. He’d backpacked across Europe, climbed mountains. He’d gone to Valhalla and had fought and feasted with the great warriors there. He’d explored the far frozen and what lay beyond even further in its frozen wastes. He’d seen the gates of hell, though he’d never had the nerve to enter. Demons were a different beast altogether from ghosts and he’d had no intention of staying potentially forever. He wished he had been that cautious when he had managed to find a doorway into this earth.
Compared to his home, the veil between worlds was more like the comforter between worlds here. Turns out physical portals to the astral realm or afterlife were much harder to produce. Most capable of traversing the astral realm is so by projecting their spirit out of their body instead. Danny had met a couple over the course of his travels, but he didn’t have a clue how to do it himself. Aside from finding a way back, another key difference is how much weaker he was comparatively. Ghosts tended to lack physical form here, another effect of the separation between worlds being thicker here. He still could go invisible and intangible easily enough, but he found himself tiring after a while. He tried flying and realized he’d have to be conservative with it after how much it had drained him. Ecto blasts were the most taxing. He was a bit out of practice but at present he could do about five before he was tapped out for a while.
Danny found a green sticky note on a pay phone. Frankly he was shocked there was a working one still around. He deducted it was meant for him using his keens observation skills. Mainly he observed it said
“Danny,
Jack Fenton = Thomas Wayne
Call Bruce xxx-xxxx-xxxx
-CW”
Danny called the number. No one answered the first time but the voicemail confirmed it was Bruce Wayne’s phone. Using the last of his change he dialed again. After a couple rings, someone picked up.
“Hello?”
“Hi, Bruce?”
“Yes, this is Bruce. Might I ask who you are and how you got this number?”
“That’s kind of complicated to explain. My name is Danny, Danny Fenton? I think I might be your brother?”
“You think you’re my brother?” The voice sounded skeptical.
“Your father is Thomas Wayne, right? I think he’s my dad.”
“Listen, if you’re after money-“
“No! No no no! I don’t really care about money, something just told me I should reach out to you? Jeez that sounds stupid when I say it out loud. Listen, I just found this out, and I don’t really have other family around. I guess I don’t even know if it’s true, but contacting you seemed like the thing to do.”
“… I don’t want to say I don’t believe you, but if there’s a chance what you’re saying is true, I think a DNA test is in order.”
“That’s entirely fair. Like I said, I don’t know if this is for certain but knowing I guess is better than not knowing.” Danny said with a small laugh.
“I suppose it is.” The voice chuckled, and something about the quality of it reminded Danny of Jack. “Let’s meets at [this address] at [this date] if that works for you?”
“Yes, I can be there!” Danny was already planning the route to New Jersey. He’d have to hitch, at least to the nearest Greyhound station. He could either panhandle for the fare or use his powers to stash himself in the luggage compartment if need be.
“Great, see you then Danny.”
———
Bruce hung up the phone. He didn’t know what to make about a sudden half brother coming out of the woodworks. It wasn’t the first time and it certainly would not be the last. What interested Bruce was the fact he had his cellphone number. His personal cellphone number, the one only Alfred, Dick, and a select number of associates from his night life have.
Danny reaches out to Bruce and tells him that he’s a brother of his that was hidden away from all this time.
This is like the eighth “secret relative” Bruce has encountered and the sixteenth fake secret relative message he’s received this month. He’s ready for it to be just another man out for the Wayne fortune, but as always he asks for a DNA test to be done to confirm the man is lying.

So some people have requested a part two for the Danny is Conner's Dad prompt/one shot? I did and it's been in my head since I'd written it so here ya go!
Danny's been living in Central City for almost a year now and things have been great with Conner! Dan finally gets to meet the little ghostie and finds him acceptable (read adorable) Conner seems to love going outside and napping so they have been doing that for nap time, he's finally seen the "Flashes" that Dan and Clockwork were complaining about so much and he gets it, it's a little irritating figuring out what changes in the timeline when he goes places.
Dani came by with her latest gift, a blue and red wrap with stars on it, that Danny now wears everywhere with Conner, so when Danny and Conner were having their nap walk around the City Danny got Summoned by a cult just from the smell of blood it's not going to be great... So Danny in his more eldritch form of endless stars and glowing green eyes and fire crown (still human sized), with the bonus of baby Conner with his wrap, he gets pulled to the summoning and finds the cult wearing green robes with some of the superheros he's seen around beating them up and suddenly stops when they notice him and the baby.
The leader of the cult who for some reason was still conscious starts speaking
"Oh Great One, Ghost King, Ancient of Space we ask for you to cleanse our world of the filth that has...", and that's as far as he got before the Superhero with a Kryptonian symbol for hope knocked him finally unconscious, then all focus is back on Danny with the baby and well Danny didn't really wanna reveal his human identity to the heros cause he can just tell the edgy dark one is a nosey type of hero, and he's finally having a semi peaceful life and he's rather not get involved with heros again, so he breaks the summoning circle faster than they can protest and dips out only leaving a green sticky note with a summoning for him and written "use only for emergency"
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Hopefully this is good for part two? This was what I was imagining for the Justice League to figure out Danny and Conner and trying to track him down.

The Ghost Kid of Gotham
DP x DC Prompt
When Danny told his parents about him being Phantom, he was strapped down to a table and cut open by them. By the time he was saved it was too late, he became a Full Ghost, with it changing because he died a second time, tears constantly flow from his eyes, chains are around his wrists and ankles, leather straps are around his torso, and his logo is no longer seen, just a ripped off part of his hazmat that shows the scar left behind by being cut open.
He doesn't remember much after being saved, just that he had destroyed a lot of things in his grief, Vlad was the one to tell him, and the Fruitloop was in a bad condition when the Halfa came to him. He's the Ghost King, but the council still runs the Infinite Realms, he's just a figure head with a lot of Power and Influence used, all because he doesn't have his human half anymore, he can't make the Infinite Realms better without it, Clockwork told him that with a sadness in his voice.
One thing that Danny can do to make things better is his new power to remove curses by being close to the affected person/object/location, so Clockwork sent Danny to Gotham just as Batman was starting his career as a Vigilante.
Gotham had been cursed a lot in the past, that's why the city is the way it is, Lady Gotham couldn't undo them all herself, so she asked Clockwork, her old friend, for help, he sent Danny, still known as Phantom.
Phantom and Batman first met when Batman had gotten word of a mysterious entity nearby doing something shady, this was Phantom in the middle of removing a curse.
Batman did his usual 'interrogation' tactics, but he was stunned to see a young boy with tears falling from his face, chains on his wrists and ankles, leather straps on his torso and a part of his outfit with a tear in it, showing a autopsy scar.
Phantom had told him what he was doing, and what he is, the Ghost of a Child. This led to Batman seeing if he could help the Ghost move on, all he was told was "I can't move on, she needs help", when asked who 'she' was, all Phantom said was "Gotham" before disappearing.
What Batman didn't know was that he wasn't the only one who was near Phantom, other citizens of Gotham heard what Phantom said to Batman, they believed that Phantom was the Ghost of a Gothamite child who lingers to help the city, they spread the word about what they heard that night.
Over time, Phantom has interacted with many of the big names in Gotham as they appeared, Joker reminds him of Freakshow, but Phantom doesn't attack him, just seeing if playing Jokers games would get the Joker to rethink his ways, thinking Joker is cursed. Before Harleen became Harley, Phantom sought out the Psychiatrist to remember his sister, having told the woman that she sounds like his sister when she helps people. Before Pamela became Ivy, Phantom sought her out to remember his best friend who loved plants. When Croc began to show himself, Phantom seeks him out to talk to him, one of their talks is overhead by citizens, after that talk overheard by the citizens, they try and treat Waylon better. When Scarecrow emerged, Phantom isn't affected by the Fear Gas, but lingers near Crane to remember Fright Knight. Bane almost reminds Phantom of his father, Phantom had cowered during Banes first attack on Gotham with the him nearby, but what Phantom said will stick with the Gothamites and Bad Guys forever.
"Please Dad! Don't hurt me again! Don't put me back on that table!"
After Phantom had said that, the Ghost had run away, leaving Bane, his crew, and many citizens shocked by what Phantom revealed about himself, a child, who was most likely harmed and killed by his own father.
There are others Phantom interacts with. Riddler reminds Phantom of Clockwork, and Phantom both likes and despises Riddler because of that. Grundy is Phantoms regular, as Phantom is drawn to the Zombie because they are the same, undead beings that still linger. Phantom even tries to help the Talons that he runs into, saying that the "Baby Ghosts need to be cleaned of the rotten Ectoplasm in them to be healthy". Leslie reminds Phantom of Frostbite.
When each Robin takes flight, Gotham goes through a positive change in appearance, during Dicks time, it rained less, during Jason's time, there was less Smog in the sky, showing more of the sky during days and nights, when Tim was Robin, Gotham had cleaner air and clearer skies, by the time Damian became Robin, Gotham is as healthy as it could be without the curses affecting it.
Phantom seeks out reporters, running into Vicki Vale during one of her live reports on a attack, he goes up to her, knowing that Gotham's citizens will be watching this broadcast. What Phantom doesn't know, is that both Gotham and its people have grown attached to the Ghost Boy.
"Gotham is healthy, she doesn't need me to help her anymore, it's time for me to go"

Ghostly Heir or Batty Custody?
DP X DC
———
The Justice League Watchtower was an advanced piece of technology, housing the world’s greatest heroes. But even in a place dedicated to protecting the Earth, some things were simply unavoidable—like gossip.
It had started innocently enough, as these things often do. Superman, having just returned from Gotham, was discussing the latest developments in the Batcave with Wonder Woman over a cup of coffee. The conversation was meant to be private, but when you have people like the Flash who can be in and out of a room before anyone notices, privacy is a relative term.
“So, Batman has another kid?” Superman had said, trying to keep his voice neutral.
Wonder Woman raised an eyebrow. “Another one? Are we running a daycare now?”
Superman shrugged. “Not sure. But he’s different from the others. White hair, glows a little. Bruce is being… secretive.”
“Bruce is always secretive,” Wonder Woman pointed out.
“Yeah, but this one seems—” Superman’s words were cut off as the Flash zoomed by, pretending to be busy with something else. The two superhumans exchanged a glance but said nothing more, knowing that once the speedster got wind of something, the whole League would know within the hour.
And they did.
Back in Gotham, Bruce Wayne—better known as Batman—was oblivious to the brewing storm. He sat in the Batcave, going over the latest reports on Gotham’s criminal activity with his usual intensity. Beside him, a ghostly figure floated lazily, occasionally glancing at the screens with mild interest.
Danny Fenton—known to most as Danny Phantom—had been in Gotham for a few weeks now, lying low while he figured out how to deal with some supernatural issues back in Amity Park. Clockwork had suggested Gotham as a good place to lay low, citing the city’s reputation for attracting all sorts of weirdos. Besides, Clockwork had argued, Batman wouldn’t care as long as Danny didn’t cause trouble.
And for the most part, Danny hadn’t. He’d stayed out of Gotham’s wayward criminal elements, kept his ghostly powers under wraps, and only occasionally wandered the streets at night to stretch his legs (or float, as it were).
Of course, he hadn’t counted on the Bat Family.
Damian had challenged him to a duel within minutes of their first meeting, insisting that he prove himself worthy of staying in the Batcave. Danny had countered by turning intangible and letting Damian tire himself out, which only seemed to frustrate the young Robin more.
Tim had interrogated him about the nature of ectoplasm and ghost powers, scribbling notes furiously as Danny tried his best to explain without giving too much away.
Jason had simply grunted, muttering something about “another brat” before disappearing on his motorcycle, while Dick had been the only one to offer a somewhat normal welcome.
“You’re like, what, the seventh kid Bruce has taken in?” Dick had said, clapping Danny on the back. “Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it.”
“I’m not staying here permanently,” Danny had replied, but Dick had just laughed, as if Danny’s words were the punchline to a joke only he understood.
Things had been relatively quiet since then—until now.
It started as a low hum, a barely noticeable vibration in the air. Alfred, the ever-watchful butler, was the first to notice something amiss.
“Master Wayne,” Alfred said calmly, setting down the tray of tea he’d just brought in. “We appear to have… company.”
Bruce looked up from the Batcomputer, his eyes narrowing as the hum grew louder, evolving into a low rumble that seemed to shake the very foundations of the Batcave. Danny, who had been floating upside down, lazily spinning in midair, suddenly snapped to attention.
“Please tell me that’s not what I think it is,” Danny muttered, his expression turning from bored to annoyed in seconds.
“I’m afraid I cannot,” Alfred replied, his tone as even as ever, despite the growing disturbance.
The rumble turned into a roar, and suddenly, with a burst of green light, a swirling portal opened up in the middle of the Batcave. The vortex crackled with energy, and from it stepped a towering figure clad in ghostly armor, a crown of ectoplasmic fire atop his head.
Pariah Dark, the Ghost King, had arrived.
“BATMAN!” Pariah’s voice boomed through the cave, rattling the glass cases that held the old Robin suits. “I, Pariah Dark, King of the Infinite Realms, have come to challenge you for the custody of my heir!”
There was a moment of silence as the words hung in the air. Danny facepalmed, groaning audibly. “This is not happening.”
Bruce, for his part, remained as stoic as ever, though his eyes narrowed as he assessed the situation. “Your heir?”
“Yes, my heir!” Pariah bellowed, his eyes glowing with ectoplasmic energy. “The boy you have taken into your care! I will not allow this—this mortal to usurp my claim!”
Bruce’s gaze flicked to Danny, who looked thoroughly unamused. “Is there something you forgot to mention?”
“Oh, come on!” Danny threw his hands up in frustration. “This isn’t what it looks like! I’m not his heir, and I’m definitely not up for custody!”
Pariah seemed undeterred by Danny’s protests. “You defeated me in battle, boy. By the laws of the Infinite Realms, that makes you my heir! And now this Bat-creature seeks to claim you as his own! I will not stand for it!”
Bruce’s expression remained impassive. “I’m not trying to claim him.”
“See?” Danny gestured to Bruce. “Totally not trying to claim me. So you can just go back to the Ghost Zone, Pariah. No custody battle needed.”
Pariah’s eyes narrowed, his fiery crown flaring. “The only way to resolve this is through combat! Batman, I challenge you to a duel for the boy!”
Bruce glanced at the portal, calculating the odds. “And if I refuse?”
“Then I will take the boy by force!” Pariah declared, raising his massive sword, which seemed to materialize out of thin air, crackling with ectoplasmic energy.
Danny floated down between the two, trying to keep the peace. “Guys, let’s just calm down. No need for a duel. I’m fine. No one’s taking anyone by force.”
Pariah looked down at Danny, his expression a mix of paternal concern and royal indignation. “Do not worry, my heir. I will defend your honor.”
Danny groaned again. “I don’t need my honor defended. I need you to stop making this weird.”
Before Danny could protest further, Bruce stepped forward, his voice as calm as ever. “Very well. A duel, then.”
“Seriously?” Danny looked at Bruce, incredulous. “You’re just going to agree to this?”
“If it ends the situation quickly, yes,” Bruce replied, his tone as dry as ever. “This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with an overprotective guardian.”
Pariah raised his sword, clearly satisfied with the outcome. “Prepare yourself, mortal! I will not hold back!”
“Hold on, hold on!” Danny zipped between them again, clearly exasperated. “We don’t need to do this! Pariah, go back to the Ghost Zone. Batman, you don’t have to fight him.”
Pariah looked genuinely perplexed. “But… the honor of the Infinite Realms demands it.”
“No, it doesn’t!” Danny insisted. “The Infinite Realms don’t care about some weird custody battle! Besides, I’m not a kid, and I’m not staying here permanently! I’m just crashing for a bit!”
Pariah frowned, lowering his sword slightly. “You… are not staying?”
“No!” Danny said, exasperated. “I’m not staying! I’m not your heir! I’m just Danny, okay?”
The Ghost King looked around, as if trying to process this information. “But… you are under his care. It was reported by reliable sources.”
“Reliable sources?” Danny echoed. “Who told you that?”
Pariah seemed to hesitate for the first time. “A rather talkative sorcerer in a trench coat. He mentioned it while muttering about ‘bloody bats’ and ‘undead nuisances.’”
Danny blinked, realization dawning. “Constantine. Of course.”
Bruce’s expression remained unchanged, though there was a faint glimmer of irritation in his eyes. “This… Constantine has been spreading rumors?”
Danny sighed heavily, feeling more tired by the minute. “Look, can we just forget this whole thing happened? Pariah, you go back to ruling the Ghost Zone. I’ll handle Constantine. And Batman, you can go back to doing… whatever it is you do.”
Pariah Dark seemed to mull this over for a moment before finally lowering his sword completely. “Very well. But know this, boy—if ever you require my assistance, you have but to call.”
“Sure, sure,” Danny muttered. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
With one last, dramatic sweep of his cape, Pariah Dark stepped back into the swirling green portal, which closed behind him with a final, ominous crackle.
For a moment, the Batcave was silent. Then Danny turned to Bruce, looking both sheepish and annoyed. “So… I guess I should have warned you about that.”
Bruce simply nodded, his expression as unreadable as ever. “Next time, try to keep your interdimensional family disputes to a minimum.”
“I’ll do my best,” Danny promised, floating back toward the Batcomputer. “But with my luck, that’s not gonna be easy.”
“Luck has nothing to do with it,” Bruce replied dryly, already turning back to his work. “And tell Constantine to keep his mouth shut.”
“Yeah, good luck with that,” Danny muttered, rubbing the back of his neck as he floated back to his usual spot, thinking about the supernatural messes that seemed to follow him wherever he went.
As the Batcave returned to its usual state of brooding silence, Danny couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, Gotham wasn’t the best place to lay low after all. But with the alternative being another encounter with Pariah, he figured the Batcave wasn’t so bad—at least, not until the next interdimensional incident.

•Living Doll•
Tumblr media
The old Drake manner has been moved into.
The house was bought by a man wearing a black suit and a purple hat that covered his face and for the life of anyone who talked with him they can’t remember his name or face but they could remember why he was buying the house, it was for his niece and nephew and as he has to travel around a lot for work they would live alone for the most part.
So when they heard this Bruce and Dick went over to say hello spy on the niece and nephew.
Who opens the door is a tall messy red haired woman who looks like she wants nothing more than to shut the door and pass the fuck out so Bruce puts on “Brucie” and starts talking to her about how he so happy to have a new neighbor and stuff while Dick looks around from where he is standing.
And that’s when he sees it a porcelain face and arm peeking out from behind a wall, the arm has light blue detailing on it and Dick couldn’t get a good look before the figure sees him looking at them and moving behind the wall the rest of the way and it seems the woman hear the figure and saw where Dick was looking and immediately shut the door in Bruce’s and Dicks faces.
This is definitely something for the Bats.

•Background•
Jack and Maddie caught Danny changing back from Phantom, they hit him in the back of the head with a Fenton-bat and brought him down to the lab and they started to see what they could do..
Jazz had just came home from the school and looking for colleges to go to when she heard her parents in the basement and she thought nothing of it.
But when she didn’t hear or see Danny when Jazz knew that he was home that’s when she can tell something’s up so Jazz goes up to his room and that’s when she sees it the bloody bat with specks of a so familiar green.
That when Jazz feels her blood go cold and she books it down the stairs to the basement but the door is locked and she can hear Jacks and Maddie s tools cutting into something and Jazz knows what that something is. She starts trying to break down the door until she remembers the bat in the kitchen so she runs to the kitchen.
And thank all of the Ancients that it is still there so she grabs it and runs back and breaks down the door and that’s when she sees it.
Arms cut off and torn to shreds, legs broken beyond repair, muscles and organs removed and put in jars and the dead eyed look in her baby brothers eyes and his core in mother Maddies hand everything gets foggy.
The next time Jazz is presented she is sitting on the bathroom floor covered in blood with Danny’s light blue almost white glowing core in her hands and a very bloody bat next to her.
That’s when she hears it the sound of a string being pulled and Clockwork shows up in front of her and explains that now with Danny original body being torn apart (Which gets a death glare from Jazz) and how with his core still intact Jazz can make a new body for him but how they would need to leave this world as if they don’t this will happen again.
And Jazz immediately agrees.

•Little Facts•
•Jazz a lot less sane than in the show
•Jazz is protective as hell of Danny
•If you put a ghost core in an object to that is vaguely human they can take over it and over time the objects start to look like the ghost until it has turned into the ghost body!
•In the manner there all the books Jazz could need to make a new body for Danny and really anything Jazz or Danny could want
•Jazz is supposed to have a Fog Core while Danny has a Ice Core
•Jazz always has a gun of her making on her at all times, ALWAYS
•when Clockwork shows up randomly you can hear the sound of a string pulled
•The DCU side of this is inspired by This Au of mine
•Jazz found all of hers and Danny’s clothes already in the manner and she doesn’t want to leave Danny’s core alone so she doesn’t really care about it all to much
•Cores kinda work like the kids ghost eyes from Coraline

Damian's new classmate was what most people would deem as strange, Damian however could not see him as anything other than suspicious. Daniel Knight had joined in the midst of the school year, claiming to have moved here with his father Fredric Knight (first area of suspicion, a parent willingly moving both them and their child to Gotham) for a new start following his fathers divorce. The boy was reclusive when not spoken to directly, however he would not stop talking when a topic of his interest would come up. After searching further into his past (as he does with all his classmates) Damian found a relatively normal past, the only outstanding things being a noticeable drop in grades at the beginnings of freshman year relating to an undisclosed accident resulting in lichtenberg scarring starting from Daniels palm, and presumably up his arm being hidden by his sleeve. Apparently this accident left Daniel with irregular tremors and, every once in a blue moon, seizures. Damian had thought about taking this suspicious blockage of information to Tim or the Bat Computer to be bypassed, however the idea of sharing Daniel this cases existence with the rest of his family for some unexplained reason bothered him greatly, so Damian has come to the decision to figure out Knight’s true intentions on his own.
Meanwhile Danny’s just trying to live his new, semi-normal life in peace. After a reveal gone wrong results in some good old vivisection, Jazz Sam and Tucker recruit the help of Clockwork to find Danny a new home, where he can heal from both the physical and mental wounds. Clockwork ends up dumping Danny into the DC universe alongside Fright Knight, who was insistent on going with him, feeling responsible in helping to protect his young prince now since he feels he failed the first time. So with a bit of spacetime razzle dazzle, Tucker messing with stuff he probably shouldn't have messed with and a very tearful goodbye with promises to check in every day, Danny goes off to start his new life as Daniel Knight. It was going ok so far, he took half the year to himself, focusing on healing. Also so Frighty could adjust to the whole pretending to be human thing. Danny doesn't have any friends yet, and to be honest hasn't made the effort to make any (Jazz would be disappointed if she knew that), but there's this one boy in Danny's class who might be even weirder than him. Danny can feel Damian's eyes on him, knows how he follows him around without a sound (Danny really shouldn't be able to tell, he only knows because he isn't fully human(and in a weird way, Danny thinks that's kinda cool)), and whenever they do make eye contact Danny can see and feel the boy fluster and shy away.
Maybe he just needs a friend too.

A Quick Chat
'Absolutely not!'
'I'm just gonna talk with him!'
Following the quickly escalating shouts down to the Batcave Bruce found Dick and a heavily armed Tim at each other's throats while their siblings oh so helpfully egged them on.
They were arguing about Wally and their last universal saving mission for some reason and Tim had nearly every contingency he could think of to handle a speedster on him.
-nna talk, that's it!'
'Then you can leave the gear here!'
'What's going on?'
All of his children froze, finally realizing he was here before they started shouting over each other.
'You remem-'
'-ick's trying to-'
'Father Dr-'
'-ng crazy, just because the universe re-'
'Enough!'
'Now, can someone tell me what's going on or do I have to get Alfred?'
And Jason was happy enough to tell him. 'Replacement's pissed because we finally discovered a pretty big difference with the universe after the League hit the reset button.'
Multiple screens on the Batcomputer held information on new heroes, a Junior JLD and everything Tim could dig up on two individuals. The first one was Phantom, a new addition to the Titans and had a number of detailed conspiracy theories tracking his appearances through time while the other held the detailed background information of a recently graduated Daniel James Fenton. Tim had dug up everything from his kindergarten grades to... Oh... Oh no... That explains why they were arguing about Wally.
Most of Daniel's latest online post covered his move to Gotham, his new job offer working in their engineering department and his new boyfriend Bernard. Looking at it all made it painfully easy to piece together that... 'They stole my life!'
And Dick and Tim were arguing again but Bruce knew it wouldn't get too heated and focused his attention on the gathered information. It was easy to see that a number of encounters his kids (mainly his oldest three) should have had with the Titans were adjusted just enough to fit Phantom now and Tim's involvement with the Children of Dionysus had been shifted around to involve Daniel in this new universe.
'-e universe reset doesn't mean you can ruin their lives. Phantom seems like a good kid.'
'Dowd would have left you eventually.'
Dick had to hold Tim back from launching himself at Damien while Jason and Steph stood by egging the two of them on, but then Tim got that look in his eye when Duke brought up the idea of reintroducing himself and everyone noticed.
'No.'
'Come on. Tim, you don't need another restraining order.'
'But it didn't happen in this universe so it doesn't count.'
'It counts if we still remember it!'
But Tim wasn't listening, too busy changing out of all of his gear as a plan quickly started forming together in his mind.
Why waste time with Wally when he can just as easily win over the new couple while ignoring everything else he's learned from his friends.
He'd figure it out one mess at a time. After he won Bernard back he'd figure out the situation between Red Robin and Phantom.
-_- -_- -_-
Reading over the sticky note Danny couldn't help but wonder what Clockwork meant when he wrote 'Have Fun'.
Again, I blame my medication for this, but this came from a couple of different prompts about Tim, Bernard and Danny and I just sort of went with it. Basically the main roster of the League has to stop (Pick a threat) and end up resitting the universe again. The problem is they still remember the old universe so they spend a week or two looking up any big changes and a sleep deprived Tim starts believing he barely knows Bernard in this universe when he's actually dating him and Danny. He just hasn't dug deep enough to figure out his own connection.

DP x DC Time!
(I'm gonna give Adopted Dad John Constantine another try. Please thank @dcxdpdabbles for their amazing encouragement and for helping me come up with this. They have become my new fandom buddy and we now trade story/fic's)
John adopts a Wayne??
Clockwork should have paid more attention to that, as team Phantom calls him, Damn Fruit loop! He looked around at the frozen timeline and felt his core whimper. His core-bonded grandchildren are gathered around his King as the Fentons are mid-fight against Plasmius.
Danny is bleeding a worrying amount of ectoplasm. Jazz is trying to keep pressure on the worst of his injuries. While Dan and Ellie are both in their Phantom forms guarding them both. He looked around and saw two figures mid run towards the group. A Fenton first-aid kit in their hands.
Ah yes. Young Sam and Tucker. His Kings left and right hands. They looked to be injured as well but nothing as life threatening as Danny. Which paints a picture Clockwork didn't want to be true. He should've kept a closer eye on this dimension. He had gotten too comfortable leaving it to his King that he forgot things could happen to his King as well.
He didn't have a lot of time to do this and he needed to make sure this won't rip the timeline apart. There was only one thing that he could think to do at an emergency time like this.
Clockwork made his way over to the adopted siblings and crouched down. He unfroze Jazz first knowing she'd be the calmest. She gasped loudly and started looking around before meeting Clockworks eyes. They were full of sadness and regret.
"I deeply apologize for being neglectful of this timeline. I had put too much on your shoulders and I'm sorry that I let it get this far."
Jazz didn't say anything. Just stared at Clockwork before slowly looking down at her Ectoplasm covered hands before looking at Danny's frozen pain filled face. She looked ahead seeing her other adopted siblings guarding them in case Vlad got past their parents. She looked back to where Sam and Tucker were racing over with tears staining their faces.
She then turned to Clockwork. Squeezing her hands into tight fists. She should be angry at him. Furious. She should yell at him and tell him exactly what he can do with his apology. But Clockwork is the only person who can help Danny at this moment.
"His obsession.... It used to be about-about killing Dad and being with Mom. Raising Danny to be his heir. But he's changed over the past few weeks. We didn't notice at first. He slowly stopped trying to remove Dad from the picture. Stopped hitting on Mom. But focused more on Danny. I tried talking to them about it. But they thought Vlad was just wanting to spend more time with his godson."
Clockwork grimaces. He can tell where this story is going. From the look of rage of the Fenton parents. Then glee on Plasmius face. The fury and horror on Dan and Ellie. The pleading look on Sam and Tucker. If he hadn't frozen the timeline when he did there's no telling how this might've gone.
"So Vlad Plasmius obsession is now fully on Danny. That's not good. Not good at all."
Clockwork sighed and thought deeply. He had to get Danny out of this timeline and fast before the Universe falls apart. He reached into his pocket for a handkerchief for Jazz when he pulled out a piece of paperwork. He'd been going over the Kingly paperwork when he realized what was happening. Across the top of the paper was a name that made everything click into place.

So the dpxdc fandom has been trying to come up with more ways to get Danny into Gotham without relying on the old Bat-adoption trope (though it's a fun trope that I love), which typically either means aging him up or giving him a fake id and making him live alone in Gotham pretending to be aged up, but personally I think we can streamline the process a bit by borrowing liberally from Marsalias' fic Adoption (if you haven't read it, definitely do, it's a really good fic) and sticking Actual Master of Time Clockwork in Gotham as yet another weird rich cryptid.
For those who haven't read that fic, the basic premise is that Clockwork decides to adopt Danny completely legally through both ghost and human methods. He is required to establish a human persona for this, which I find hysterical. He and Danny end up living in an incredibly creepy manor that they both love. We can easily uproot that thing and plop it into Gotham. If we want to be particularly funny about it, we can sandwich Wayne Manor between Clockwork and the Drakes to make them all neighbors.
Now what you do from there is obviously subject to whatever story you're wanting to tell, but there's a couple fun things I want to suggest:
Clockwork doesn't try very hard on his human persona. He still dresses like a time god in a fantasy novel (I'm a little in love with 13thcat's designs so I like to imagine his human form looks a little like this). You have to live, what, 40-50 years in a city to be established? Sure. Why bother aging visibly in this time? That's not necessary! What does he do for work? Uhhhh he's a woodworker who makes clocks. That's why he has millions or even billions of dollars, obviously.
5-year-old Bruce Wayne is OBSESSED with Clockwork (aka Charles Worth). This is baby's first incredibly pure crush. This is your really cool kindergarten teacher that you remain a little in love with well into adulthood, except instead of being nice CW is just really weird and doesn't care about what 5-year-olds are able to discuss. Baby Bruce does that little kid "I'll marry you when I grow up" thing that everyone finds adorable but CW says "there are many timelines where you get married, though never to me. Some options are better than others, but I won't tell you about them" because what else would he say.
When Danny shows up in Gotham decades later as CW's adopted kid Bruce is zeroed in on all the gossip. His interest is based entirely on his childhood obsession though so he uses absolutely zero Batman skills to investigate the situation and therefore finds nothing weird about Danny's background. The batkids find this hilarious because there is Clearly something weird going on with that kid.
Clockwork could easily solve all of the Bats' problems and tell them the answers to all the investigations they're doing but why would he do that???? That's boring. He's vibing in his new house with his cool liminal son why would he be worried about *checks notes* the hundreds of people dying to rogue attacks nearby.
Despite never being genuinely helpful he DOES randomly drop in-universe lore that no one would've figured out otherwise. Usually he does this about six months after it would've been really nice to know.
He doesn't do this out of malice he just doesn't intervene in things normally and if he does, it's only by request. The Bats (besides Batman because he's still oblivious) are too worried about what he might ask for in exchange to make requests though they know he's powerful but they are totally wrong because he's just sitting there baking bread thinking "hm I wonder why Timothy never asked me to help him get Batman back from being lost in the time stream, I could've done that really easily without changing too much. Oh well, whatever makes him happy."
Danny also never makes requests but that's because CW went a bit too hard on teaching him messed up karmic lessons about interfering with time so Danny just assumes it's always a bad idea to ask.

What If... The Bat's Answered Phantom's Phone?
Set as an AU at the end of Chapter 2 of "A Little Overshadowing Never Hurt Anyone" But can be read as an independent oneshot <3
—"What were you doing in Gotham?" The Dark Knight demanded, ignoring the ghost boy's previous comment.
"Just hanging out. I don't have any real reason to be here. Wanted to see the sights, I guess." Danny shrugged, trying to play it off. It was a lie, but he couldn't tell him anything about his parents or the ghost-hunting convention, since there could be a chance he could figure out Danny’s identity that way.
Once again, Batman's expression didn't change, just as stone-cold as ever. That was annoying. Normally Danny was really good at reading people. Especially ghosts. It was much easier for them to read each other with their cores and emotions. But with humans, it was much harder. Especially this human.
Suddenly Danny jumped at the sound of his phone ringing… and he knew it was his phone because a remix of the “Ghostbusters theme” was playing.  Danny put his head down covering his face with his hands,  He really shouldn't worry about being embarrassed while being kidnapped with a bunch of ghost tech in some eccentric white guy's creepy bat basement, yet here we are.
The only other person in the room besides Batman stood up. It was the boy in the domino mask., Robin? Wait- Weren’t there multiple now?  Danny couldn’t keep track anymore.  Either way, emo mini Bat jr, a coffee in his hand, walked over to a table filled with ghost-hunting weapons, the majority of which was his parents’ designs.  Danny felt a shiver go down his spine and pushed himself back a bit further in the cage. His fear did not go unnoticed by the boy, who glanced sideways with a frown.
He reached down and started going through the pockets of a belt that lay on the table as the phone kept blaring loudly, Danny glanced down to his waist. He didn’t even realize that they had removed the phone until just now.  Finally, the teenage boy managed to wrangle it out of one of the pockets and held it high in victory before looking at the caller ID.
“B,” The kid started.  “It’s someone named Jazz.”  Danny’s eyes widened. He knew she would be worried right now!   And what was the one thing she told him before he went into Gotham? ‘Danny, stay away from all of those Gotham vigilantes tonight — it can be dangerous.’ The phone abruptly stopped ringing, and Danny breathed a sigh of relief.  But then the boy started scrolling through the phone, or at least the lock screen. “Dozens of missed messages and three missed calls.”  He raised an eyebrow at Danny as if waiting for him to respond.
“She worries.”  Danny shrugs before rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.  Suddenly, the phone blares to life again. Danny’s ears twitch at the sound.  The ringtone starts again.
“Bring it here, Red Robin,”  Batman says, holding out his hand.  Well, at least Danny now knows his name.   He narrows his eyes at the device like it is somehow out to get him and his whole family.  Danny would have laughed at the expression if he weren’t terrified for his afterlife right now.  After a couple of seconds, it stopped, only to restart again quickly after.
“She is not going to stop until you answer!”  Danny snaps, annoyed.  Batman seems to be in thought for a moment before holding the phone in between the vigilantes and the ghost, hitting answer on speakerphone.  Danny’s eyes widened instantly, in shock that he answered it. Danny was mostly kidding, he didn’t expect the Dark Knight to really answer! Now what should he do?
“Danny, oh my word! Where are you?!! I swear to Clockwork, if you got yourself hurt or anything… I’ve been worried sick! And with all of those hunters around! I told you to be careful, and to come back soon!  You were just getting air! Please tell me you’re okay.”  Danny winced back at every part of the call, but everyone in the room had their eyes glued to the phone, undoubtedly absorbing all the information Danny just gave them.
“Jazz, Jazz I’m fine!”  Red Robin looked over at Danny as if to say, ‘You don’t look fine.’  Danny glared back his best ‘Mind your own damn business response..
“Danny, where are you?  I’ve been holding off mom and dad for as long as I can.”  Danny winced and winced hard, glancing up at the two listening into the conversation, looming over him.  “Right now they think you’re at the library, and it’s the middle of the night!”
Danny laughed nervously.  “Jazz, don’t worry, I’ll be okay, I always am.  I just got a bit lost and sensed a soul eater so I followed to find out if they were okay.  He saw Batman narrow his eyes again (if that was even possible — they should be closed at this point) at he mention of ‘soul eater’.
Danny felt slightly offended for them, but they did have a strange name.  For your information, soul eaters are just ghosts who need energy or ectoplasm to survive and make a body. They have to either take it from others or absorb it in an ectoplasm-rich environment, and if Danny has some to spare, he normally shares Soul eaters are a step above echo ghosts.  Two of the ones Danny had encountered were Spectra, who absorbed children’s emotions as a therapist to give herself a body, and Shadow, the ghost that has bonded itself to Johnny 13 in order to get as much ectoplasm as he needs in return for helping Johnny.  But enough of that rant.
“Okay, but you better be back soon okay?  Especially with all the hunters around. I don’t want you getting captured!”
Danny glanced up at the two bats and laughed awkwardly.  “Ah yeah, we don’t want that happening now.  Just don’t worry too much, Jazz; get some rest, I’ll catch up with you later.”
“You better!”  Batman then pulled his gloved finger up and pressed the hang-up button.
Danny scowled up at the man, “There, you happy?  You got all that information out of me. You seem proud of yourself.”  Danny went to lean back, but burned himself on the bars, flinching as he felt the stinging sensation on his shoulder, hissing and baring his fangs.
Batman said nothing. It looked like his little robin was about to pitch in but then thought better of it and slinked away.  Suddenly, there was a ping on Batman’s belt.  He looked at it for only a second before stating “I have to go. Red Robin, stay here.”
)-(
Danny was staring down at the floor of his cage as he now floated cross-legged just above the ground.  What was he supposed to do now? Batman was gone and Red Robin was now pacing around the cave, either doing wide circles around the cage or just pacing around the whole cave in general. It looked like he was also kind of muttering to himself. Kind of strange, but Danny did the same so who was he to judge?  But the important thing was he never let the cage out of his line of sight.  He almost felt like Danny was being hunted by a shark at the rate this guy was going.
Danny knew he needed to escape somehow.  He glanced again over all of those weapons on the desk. He needed to get out of here, and quickly He knows that even though he called, Jazz would still be worried.  But with Red Robin ever on the lookout, that would be hard.
It would be hard to rewire the whole cage, especially because Red Robin keeps silently watching him — it's kinda creepy. Danny grabbed onto his hair and pulled, unsure of what to do.  Suddenly there was a clanging sound and Danny jumped, eyes darting around until he noticed that Red Robin was staring up at him right in front of the cage. His hands were on the door.
Danny stared at him, puzzled, and tilted his head to the side, eyes glued to each other in the tense moment.  Suddenly, the boy’s hands started moving and he was unlocking the cage. Danny’s eyes widened. “What are you doing?”  He asked, still stunned that the kid had come so close.
The boy paused for a moment, thinking to himself. “Letting you out.”  The door swung open with Tim holding it and staring at the ghost expectantly.  Danny stayed where he was in the cage, floating, unsure of whether or not to trust this new opportunity.
“What about Batman, won't he be mad at you?”  Danny asked, surprised his Robin would go against him like this.
“I think…”  Red Robin paused.  “I think Batman would understand, and I think we were wrong about ghosts,  I was stupid to go along with this. Anyone who’d spend more than five minutes with you would know you are a sentient, innocent, person...  I’m sorry.”
Danny laughed awkwardly, “Wow, you're the first person to say that in a long time.”  Red Robin returned with a light smile, almost a grimace.
“Here, let's get you out of here before B gets back.”  He reached down and grabbed onto Danny's arm, pulling him out of the cage and leading him through the cave. Normally, Danny would have flinched at being grabbed, but this… wasn't so bad.
---
Tim led them through the tunnels underneath Wayne's manor to not reveal their identities, he knew the tunnels by heart and managed to make enough turns that Danny couldn't follow them back.

Okay, so I know we have a handful of reasons we usually revert to when it comes to ‘moving Danny away from Amity for plot reasons’. While I was about to make lunch I thought of this one and now I have to share it before my brain forgets it.
What if the Observants get fed up? Like Danny has done one too many things against them and they are sick of it? He doesn’t respect them or their authority so he is a threat. But Clockwork is refusing to work for them on this. He’s digging his feet in and not letting the Observants use him, stating it's ‘for the good of the timeline’.
So they go another route and start bribing increasingly powerful ghosts to take down Phantom.
Only Danny has noticed a pattern with the new ghosts suddenly coming through the portal. Not only are they ghosts he’s never even heard of, but their only focus is on him. Eventually one of the ghosts that are hired or maybe even one that Danny has befriended in the past that has heard down the grapevine, tells Danny what the Observanats are doing.
And instead of grouping with his friends to figure out how to either take down (preferably) or calm down (Ugh do we have to?) the Observants, Danny in his ultimate wisdom… leaves. The ghosts that the Observants are sending are after him, right? So long as he isn’t near someone else nobody has to get hurt!
And so, without telling anyone why or maybe even completely bulldozing over his friend's reasons to stay, Danny leaves Amity to protect the town.
This idea could just stay as Danny exploring the world but not in freedom like Dani, but in an attempt to escape the Observants. Maybe he even bumps into her at some point and she is surprised and tries to ask ‘Hey, why are you in Hawaii?’ but watches in shock as he runs away from her. Maybe in these adventures, he inadvertently discovers another ancient artifact that he could use against the Observants but the information is threaded throughout the world. So he continues to travel and force himself to be amongst people so that he can gather more information.
Or this could open up some neat ideas for crossovers!
One idea is Danny becoming an omen of sorts that something terrible is about to happen. If you see Danny Phantom, you know that a really bad rouge attack is about to happen in your area. And the worst part is, Danny is happy to see that everyone is avoiding him. Not because he likes to be feared, but because it's for the better. And to his horror rouges are trying to hire him to terrorize certain areas. He's accidentally become a villain because of the constant ghosts trying to take him down.
Another idea is another hero catching on that Danny is being essentially hunted and is concerned. Although their attempts to reach out and help are not being accepted. Danny is trying to protect the hero from danger but they don’t know that. They just think he’s being stubborn. So to Danny's dismay, they try even harder to prove to him that they can help.
I dunno, just something different to think about. Please tell me if there are fics or drabbles already using this kind of idea out there! I would love to read it :>

I've seen the concept of Kon either having a third parent in his DNA or instead of Lex Luthor it was someone else, so what if we replaced Lex's DNA with Danny's?
Danny's been the Ghost King for hundreds of years now his family has long since passed, Dan isn't around anymore since he's been helping Clockwork with Timeline screwups (something to do with flashes? He wasn't really paying attention) and well Dani's off exploring and discovering places, I mean she comes back occasionally but not as often as Danny would like, so Danny decided why not visit a human realm, and so he does, he explores the cities and stars, he doesn't really hide he's not human looking with his pointed ears, long fangs, and glowing eyes, and while he was there some lucky bastard got some of his DNA. This person also just so happens to be the person to switch Lex's DNA with a much stronger candidate (aka Danny)
Danny hadn't noticed at the moment cause it was a busy train ride, but he did immediately notice when a new life came to be, immediately claiming him as one of the parents, so of course he immediately went to go look and see what that was about cause he doesn't remember sleeping with someone? And he hasn't even been here that long for a baby to be born? And after some searcing he finds a lab and a baby in the tube and we'll, he went completely feral at the sight and destroyed the building, which caught some of the Justice League's attention and all they find is a destroyed building owned by Cadmus.
Danny is now back in the apartment he was renting while he was taking a vacation from being the Ghost King (he was lonely), with his brand new baby he'd guess around 3 months old but he's not an expert, and he just falls in love with him the same way he did with Dani but the thing is the baby isn't a Halfa like him even with his DNA he's more like Jazz with being extremely liminal (so mostly all the instincts of a ghost but none of the powers), and we'll Jazz couldn't ever really stay long in the zone before she'd end up a permanent resident, so taking this baby with him back to the zone was a no go, at least not for long periods of time.
So that's where he's been for the last two months with his baby who he named Conner Nightingale, Nightingale after his fake ID for this human life, and he's just adoring being a father and sure he wonders sometimes who the other parent is but he can't exactly take Conner to a normal hospital, cause of the ghost biology, except the few checkups with Frostbite telling him the other parent isn't human, Dani was also told about her new nephew and loves bringing him new toys to see if he'll like it whenever she comes around.
While Danny has been taking care of Conner the Justice League has been trying to figure out what happened with that Cadmus building was doing before it got destroyed, and found out it was a cloning lab, who they were trying to clone they haven't found yet cause of the scattered/destroyed files...

Fate is a Bitch and Her Timing Sucks! by OnlyHereForTheSnacks :
In theory, everyone on earth is supposed to have a soulmate. Someone who is perfect for them in every way. A storybook romance, or a best friend you can always confide in. Fate is supposed to pull them together at the right moment. Real life is never as easy as the stories though, and Fate has always had a way of fucking with vigilantes.
Danny always wanted a soulmate. At least he did before he died, now his life (afterlife?) is just starting to get manageable. He’s settled into his new role, doing what he can for both the ghost and human world and is looking forward to a quiet (if excruciatingly boring) summer vacation when his life is literally turned upside down and he is forced to confront parts of his past that he’d rather remained buried.
Damian has been resigned to the idea that he will have to protect his soulmate since he was a child. A soulmate is a weakness that others might choose to exploit. Nothing could have prepared him for the reality that is his perfect match. Perhaps he should have listened when his mother said his soulmate would have to be anything besides ordinary to compliment him.

providence 3
[Chapter 3! Prompts used are from @kinglazrus @lexiepiper and @ash-rabbit. Special thanks to @jackdaw-sprite @datawyrms and Lexie for beta and encouragement! You can read the full fic here.]
Danny flew just behind and slightly to the side of the Observant.  He probably wouldn’t get much sleep tonight, but he wasn’t sure when he’d next be in the Ghost Zone, and he wanted to know where to find the Observant.  Or the Observants, plural.  Apparently, there were a lot of them.
So, yeah, Danny would be late for school tomorrow.
“Do you know what’s going on with Clockwork’s scar, then?” asked Danny.
The Observant’s eye flicked back at him.  “What do you mean?”
“It didn’t look like that before.  The Lichtenberg figure.”
“You can see that?” asked the Observant.
“Is that a problem?”
“Merely unusual,” said the Observant.  “The timekeeper’s scar, like much of his form, is a reflection of time.  When the timeline is orderly, it is a single cut.  When it is in disorder, when timelines branch and fall and die, that is when it looks like a stroke of lightning.”
With that, Clockwork’s comments about analogies made more sense.  Mostly.  Ish.
“The timeline is in disorder?”
“There ought to be only one,” said the Observant.  “A singular path.  None of these dead ends.  No presents with two pasts.  No paradoxes.”
“What about paradoxes that already exist?”  Both no-longer-evil Danny and Danny himself were the way they were because of paradoxes.
“The past is already done,” said the Observant.
“Isn’t paradoxes existing evidence against that?” asked Danny, genuinely curious.
The Observant waved him off with a flick of their wrist.  “It is how things ought to be.  You cannot deny that the flaws in time have caused trouble for you, as well.  The chaos must be stopped, or else time itself will fall apart.”
“I thought Clockwork already did that,” said Danny.  “We separated him from…  You know.  And he stopped the glitches…”
“The ‘glitches,’ as you call them, were only one symptom, and while they were mitigated, the rest remains.  The timekeeper’s scar alone should tell you that.”
At this point, a shape had begun to loom out of the ectoplasmic fog.  It was a teetering, gravity-defying tower - as many structures were in the Ghost Zone - but each component of the tower was an observatory.  Danny would have been delighted, if each observatory’s telescope hadn’t been replaced by a giant, staring, eye.
“Behold,” said the Observant, “the Observant High Council Tribunal Headquarters.”
That was… Certainly a name.  A long one.  With no pronounceable acronym.  Yeah.  Danny would’ve gone with something like ‘the Observatory’ or ‘Observant Principle Tribunal for Important Council Stuff.’
Whatever, it wasn’t his home.  They could call it whatever they wanted.
(It wasn’t like ‘Fentonworks’ was a brilliant name, either, if he was being honest)
“I know that the timekeeper gives you a great deal of leeway in your address, but here you must practice the proper decorum.”
“My address…?”
“The manner in which you speak to him,” explained the Observant.  “You have had some training in manners.  Use them.”
“Sure,” said Danny.
The Observant glared at him.  “Starting now, preferably.”
“Oh.  Yeah– I mean, yes,” said Danny, privately considering bailing.  He didn’t want to, not if they were telling the truth and they really did want to help Clockwork, but he didn’t really care for how the Observant was acting.  Maybe it was just him, but he felt as if he was being looked down on.
Still, the Observant hadn’t attacked him, and even if they were leading him into an ambush, Danny had a lot of ways to escape.  He’d give them the benefit of the doubt.  New allies were worth some risks, and he was trying to be a bridge.
As they drew closer to the Observant Headquarters, Danny started seeing other ghosts.  Ghosts that were, surprisingly, identical to the one leading him, differing only in how their robes were decorated.  Even the yetis of the Far Frozen were more diverse.
They flew to one of the observatory-like structures near the base of the tower.  Up close, the dome section of the building was covered in little beads, like pearls.  Or so Danny thought, before they all turned to look at him.
Danny decided he didn’t like it here.
By the time they reached the door, they had gathered a crowd of other Observants, all of them whispering to one another.  There were a lot of them.  More than any other group of ghosts Danny had encountered, except for the blob ghosts and Pariah Dark’s skeleton army.
But none of the crowd stopped them, or got in their way, until they reached the door.  Then, one of them flew in front of the door, their hands folded and tucked neatly into the sleeves of their robes.  Their robes had a slightly wider band of eye-themed embroidery around the hems.
“What have you done?” they demanded, their single eye fixed on the first Observant.
“I saw an opportunity, and I took it,” said the first Observant, drawing themself up.
“Your task was to watch,” hissed the second Observant.  “To observe and report back, if there were any more incidents.  Not to bring the younger Phantom here.”
“To watch, and to preserve the timeline against the many ills that beset it.  Long ago, we made tools intended to keep the timeline in order.  If they break, if they are in error, we ought to replace them.  Especially when this one is so eager to help.”
The Observant - that is, the second Observant - looked at Danny.  “Is he eager?”
“I’m just here to help Clockwork,” said Danny, raising his hands.  “If that’s a problem, I can leave.”
“You see?  An opportunity.  In any case, it would remove the possibility of incidents.”
“Would it?  He seems extremely skilled at causing them.  He broke history so thoroughly that the timekeeper had to intervene thrice, and that does not cover his little jaunt with the Infi-Map.  That is why we assigned you to keep your eye on him.”
“I didn’t mean to break history,” said Danny, “and at least half of all that was Vlad’s fault.”
The Observants both glanced at him, then went back to glaring at one another.
“It would be his fair penance to aid us in the creation of a tool that would erase his errors,” said the first Observant.
The second Observant grumbled.  “Such tools are under the purview of the high council.”
“Which is why I am here.  Stand aside and let me speak to them.”
The second Observant left their place in front of the door.  “Someday, you will be struck down for your self-aggrandizing ambition.”
“I seek only the advancement of our order,” said the first Observant.  “Will you watch him, while I speak to the council?  I do not believe they would be pleased if he were to wander off.”  They flew through the doors without waiting for an answer.
Danny made a face - what was he, a toddler? - but decided not to comment.  Even he could calculate odds.  He didn’t like his, at the moment.  Not against a hostile crowd of this size.
(And he had been thinking about leaving.)
The Observants… stared.  Danny knew they had eyelids, but they weren’t using them.  As Danny waited for the first Observant to come back, the crowd grew, sloping upward so that the Observants in the back could see over their fellows.  It felt like being in a giant bowl full of eyes.
Then, the doors of the observatory building opened up, and a new crowd of Observants poured out, spilling into and pushing away the existing one.  Danny backed away, slightly, trying to maintain his distance.
An Observant, identical to all the others except for their richer robes, floated up to Danny.  “I am told that you are here to assist us.”
Danny shrugged.  “I’m here to help Clockwork, mostly,” he admitted, “and I’m still not sure what you’re trying to help him with.  Or why you need me, exactly.  I mean–” He waved his hands to indicate the other Observants, “--there’s a lot of you.”
The fancy Observant exchanged a glance with the Observant Danny had come with, then inclined their head to them.
“The timeline is in chaos,” said the first Observant.  “In the past, we created intricate and subtle tools of great power, we worked with the timekeeper to maintain the timeline.”
“Okay?” said Danny.  “But if it’s just tools, couldn’t you just drop them off at Clockwork’s place?  I mean, I don’t think he would ignore them if they were already there.”  Clockwork seemed too practical for that, even if he was stubborn.
“While we would certainly prefer to leave the appropriate tools at Long Now, there are other issues.  We operate under restrictions that you do not.”
“Long Now?  Restrictions?”
“Long Now,” repeated the first Observant.  “The timekeeper’s lair.”
“Oh,” said Danny, a bit embarrassed at not knowing that.  “But the restrictions thing?”
“We have taken an oath to only watch the timeline,” said the fancy Observant.  “To remain impartial.  To only intervene in certain circumstances, or through proxies who have already been touched by… the uncertainties of time.”
“That would be me,” said Danny, starting to understand.  “And Clockwork, too, I guess.”
“The tool that we would make requires specific materials that we cannot gather ourselves, not without breaking our oaths,” continued the Fancy Observant.  “Would you, Phantom, help us make this tool?  Would you provide us with the materials we need?”
If Danny had been presented with such an obvious way to help Clockwork two hours ago, Danny would have agreed immediately.  Now, though, he hesitated.  Something about this situation made Danny feel uneasy.
“It would depend on what you need,” said Danny, slowly.  “I don’t want to say I can do something and then not be able to do it.”
“The things that are within your power, would you give them to us, to create a tool to maintain the timeline as it ought to be maintained?”
Yeah.  The timeline.  This wasn’t just about Clockwork, it was about fixing the damage that Danny himself had indirectly caused.
“So, um.  What exactly would happen if the timeline wasn’t maintained?  Just for reference.”  He was probably going to say yes.  He’d known that as soon as he’d started following the Observant.  But it was always nice to know what he was fighting for.
“The damage from that asteroid striking the Earth would be a pittance compared to that wrought by the destruction of time.”
That was what Danny had thought.  No matter how uneasy he was, this was an end of the world type of situation.
Maybe.
“And you’re sure that Clockwork won’t be able to fix the timeline on his own?  Because it seems like he’d accept your help if he couldn’t.”
“He might believe that he can,” said the first Observant.  “He may even be right, the stubborn fool.  But you have seen Long Now.  You have seen his scar.  He labors over the timeline, and still it is unrepaired.”
“Will you do it?” demanded the fancy Observant.  Something still wasn’t quite right, here, but Danny couldn’t even begin to figure out what it was, and Clockwork had said that the Observant wasn't bad.  “I’d still need a shopping list or something, but… yes.  I’ll get the stuff for this tool you’re going to make.”

The Sun and Moon
Tumblr media
The JL needed help.
To be specific they needed powerful magical help, A new cult had started up somewhere near metropolis and they had started to steal different things in the past the JL just thought that they were selling the things they stole as they found no connection with the objects so they treated it like a normal group of thief’s.
Until they got a tip about a cult summoning so they fly over to stop it but they are to late and the beings that the cult is summoned and it has started to cause violent storms and extremely dangerous earthquakes and several other very deadly natural disasters all around the world.
So some of the JL and JLD are in the watchtower trying to find a way to stop the being but nothing is coming to mind until Constantine sighs and starts to draw a summoning circle with many runes but the only runes the JL can tell what they are is a Sun and Moon.
Than Constantine pulls two pendants out of his coat and puts them in the middle of the circle and takes a large step back with a determined but sacred face and than the circle starts to glow then a large blast of wind out of the circle and they see two figures one young female and one young male than they say.
“You called us, what do you have to trade?”

•Background•
Danny has become the Ancient of space, wait let’s go back a bit.
Danny life has been fine, his parents accepted him but is it is really awkward and they always look at him with pity and guilt so it’s hard to be around him and with Jazz gone off to college there’s no one else in the house to talk too.
But at least Danny still has Sam and Tucker to talk too and with Dan redeemed and either traveling with Dani or with Clockwork in the Ghost Zone anyway with Sam gone with her parents off to a rich people thing and Tucker at a family reunion Danny is kinda feeling alone.
But it quickly becomes resolved as Dan and Dani came back to Amity Park to visit Danny and everything felt nice and calm.
Until Dani and Dan get taken by Vlad when they were about to go to nasty burger and Vlad takes them to make “better” clones of Dani as she was the only one of the clones to live longer then 10 minutes and Dan as his biologically could help keep the clone alive longer.
But Danny finds out fast and books it to Vlad’s house to get Dani and Dan His Children back and if Danny can beat the shit out of Vlad he wouldn’t be upset but Danny gets their too late and Danny is forced to de-aged Dani and Dan to keep them existing.
And to make sure Dani and Dan who have been renamed Dawn and Dusk stay safe and to make sure this doesn’t happen again [because Vlad is a vengeful fucker who refers to stay down] so he heads to The Ghost Zone then books it to clockwork and ask him what he should do.
Thats when Clockwork says that Danny should stay in his lair with the now twins and he’ll know what to do soon.
So Danny listens and with the children head to his lair and fall asleep.

Welcome back! I saw you are taking story ideas so I wanted to submit two of the prompts I wrote for Phic Phight.
1) Danny's excuse when someone notices the resemblance between Fenton and Phantom and comes too close to his secret: The ghost is his dead twin who he ate in the womb. This might have more truth to it than he originally thought.
2) Long ago Clockwork had and lost a child, the young Ancient of Space. Even with his Sight of time, he could never see what became of them, only that they disappeared. Now another being that evades his Sight has crashed into his existence. Another child, and this one a boy with the stars in his eyes and the cold of space in his veins.
I hope you like either of these!
Thank you! I went with #1, but admittedly it turned out a little short.
Duplicity
Rating: Gen Warnings: focuses on vanishing twins & the formation of ghosts, especially in connection to each other Words: 770 Additional Tags: Post-reveal, Good Fenton parents

“You know, one thing still confuses me about ghost cores.” Danny resisted the temptation to fidget when three pairs of eyes turned to him. “Or, uh, the cores of half-ghosts, at least?”
“Do tell, Great One, and perhaps I can answer.” Frostbite turned further to face him.
“Well, um.” Danny’s eyes darted over to his parents, briefly, before returning to Frostbite. “Isn’t it kinda weird that my core is more stable than Dani and Vlad? Like, I thought Dani was just because she was a clone, so she was destabilizing, but apparently Vlad got really sick as he was developing his powers? But I was, well, fine?” He shrugged, unsure of how to put his thoughts into words.
His mother hummed thoughtfully, but didn’t say anything. Neither did his dad, though he did frown.
“Of course not. Both other half-ghosts you refer to had to develop their own cores, growing them from scratch. You, on the other hand, absorbed yours from another ghost, thus stepping past the initial growing pains.”
Danny felt his heart stop. His core freeze. Thoughts grinding to a halt.
“Excuse me?” he blurted out, automatically, incredulously. “Are you telling me I killed another ghost?”
“No, no.” Frostbite lifted his hands, voice dropping into a soothing tone. “Although it is not unheard of for proper ghosts to fuse together into one, this sort of core-binding is only possible with blob ghosts.”
“And blob ghosts aren’t truly sentient, right?” Maddie hummed in thought, saving Danny the effort of trying to figure out what, exactly, Frostbite meant. “They’re barely more than free-floating ectoplasm, which is common here in the Ghost Zone.”
Frostbite nodded. “Indeed. A more developed ghost couldn’t have been absorbed in such a manner, so there is no need to worry, Great One.”
“That’s a relief.” Danny heaved a sigh. It still felt weird to imagine that his core wasn’t originally his, that it had developed separately, but, well. At least he hadn’t killed someone in the process.
“Although,” Frostbite suddenly started, interrupting Danny’s thoughts. “It is very unusual.”
“Oh?” Danny felt like slapping himself. Why did he ask for more information? He regretted asking in the first place. Knowing more wasn’t going to make himself feel better, was it?
But his parents would probably have asked if he hadn’t. Right? Yeah, definitely.
“Typically, ghosts require some form of connection to be present to bind together. Two fully-formed ghosts can fuse over shared goals or other such traits, but such a thing isn’t possible with a blob ghost. To absorb one of those, a more tangible connection is required.”
Frostbite eyed Danny, but he couldn’t quite read the emotion in his eyes. “Obviously the power of the Ghost Portal let you bypass the part where you weren’t a ghost yourself—” or perhaps he was dying and turning into a ghost anyway, “—but that connection would’ve still been necessary.”
But how. What? Who? The blob ghost must’ve come from somewhere, something, someone, but Danny couldn’t imagine, couldn’t think—
“Oh, that makes sense,” Maddie said, voice casual. “Danny absorbed his twin in the womb, so it makes sense for him to do the same thing with his twin’s ghost.”
“What?” Danny blurted out, turning to her in shock. “I had a twin? A twin I absorbed?!”
“Well, yes.” Maddie nodded, looking at him in confusion. “Of course, it happened fairly early on, so he wouldn’t have become a real ghost. But the impression of it, the potential of a twin gained and lost, that would’ve been enough form a blob ghost.” She turned to Frostbite. “Right?”
“Right.” Frostbite nodded back. “And yes, a connection like that would have worked quite well. A connection of blood and spirit, an action repeated. An echo between life and death.”
Danny shook his head. Well. Jerked his head side to side. “Are you serious? Why are you all acting like this is—this is normal, totally expected?”
“I thought you knew, honey.” Maddie was frowning at him now, confusion deepening. “Weren’t you the one who started using it as a cover?”
“What?” He blinked at her, then realized. Yes. Yes, he had been using that as an excuse for the resemblance between Danny Fenton and Phantom. A dead twin, a ghost which looked just like the living Danny. “I didn’t—I didn’t think it was real.”
“Oh.” She shot an uncertain look at Jack, then Frostbite, then turned to him. “Well. You know now?”
Danny stared at her, incredulous. Then shook his head. “Yeah. Yeah, I guess I do now.”
But what the hell was he supposed to think of all this?
