Just caught up with Natlan's archon quest and lord help me, I have a burning need to see Alhaitham and Ororon interact.

I truly feel that they would vibe perfectly. Not in a ship way, but like, in the way of Kaveh quietly wailing: "For archons' sake, he's brought another tacky thing into the house. Traveler, please do something; they've been staring eye to eye over the coffee table for like an hour now but haven't said a single word. I don't know what to do. Send help."

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Pourrir disease seems to progress faster when ingested, or when infected individuals have a lot more power for stronger Craft.

Pourrir in bread and pastries appears similar to mold at first, then progresses into unusual lumps if left unintended for too long.

Currently no proper name for the gunk. Looks like blood, but is far too thick, smells far too foul, and tastes far too rancid.

Infected individuals appear not to be cognizant in final two stages. Mainly unnaturally happy at all times.

Distancing yourself from an infected loved one as they progress through pourrir disease may limit your risk of getting infected.

Day Six: Mirror or Abandoned @tes-summer-fest The Nerevarine's mind tends to play tricks.

It always started the same. He’d felt his flesh dissolve from his bones as another pyroclastic flow engulfed him. Same shit as usual. Only this time, instead of a beach or cave, he awakened in a quiet candle-lit chamber that reminded him of the offering halls found in ancestral tombs. He felt someone take his hand, kissing it lightly before something was whispered into his ear in Dunmeris. Lips pressed against the shell, the breath hot and putrid as those lips trailed down his neck. He was staring at himself, his hands on some sort of candlelit altar that was stained with long dried blood. His reflection stared back at him through the polished bronze mirror. The smile it wore was menacing and he found himself lost in the void where his eyes should have been. His reflection reached out through the wall as Teldryn felt lips trail down his neck, teeth scraping almost painfully at his skin. Long nails dragging down his bare chest, dipping to his hips and- His reflection grabbed him by the jaw and forced him to stare into the dark, endless void that had replaced the bright crimson of his eyes. He tried to look down at whatever it was that was now between his legs, biting at his hipbone, hands stroking the bare skin of his inner thigh. Cold lips met his and all he could taste was rot and bitter ash. He felt something sharp clamping down on his tongue, the taste of ash replaced by the sickening metallic sensation of blood pouring down his throat. He tried to open his mouth, to scream, to pull away but he couldn’t move. His reflection held him steady as blood poured from his lips. His reflection turned away and spat something from his mouth. Teldryn watched as it hit the ashen ground, small, red and bloody. It took him a few moments to recognise it as his own tongue.

And if one day you find that there is no angry man in your house—well, you will go find one and invite him in!” Peggy—a professor—reads this poem, which a female student has placed on her desk, and grapples with a response, to which she is advised, “It’s not your job to save anyone from their life or explain anything to them or even really teach them anything”.

PANEL NOTES

This follows the format of the catalyst stranger approaching the downtrodden protagonist in a dingy bar from behind, backlit by the hazy yellow lights and smoked out shadows. This is not a bar, but a kitchen—the center of any living space.

The borrowed text is tweaked, and excludes the descriptor “angry”, as the theme of the storyboards is not anger.

The use of red is limited and strategic, and scattered throughout like evidence; dusting for fingerprints. It’s tempting to drape Henry’s back in red against the blue background, as if bathed by an overhead lamp, but Ray is the anomaly. Henry is colored by an anxious, slightly melancholic blue (as well as shaky panel borders), while the flints of red signify danger (knock on wood) or non-literal symbolism.

The white wolf is curled around the blue in a protective gesture that also doubles as a stranglehold, snakelike.

Something, something, about wolves and lambs, consumption, and the simultaneous loss and retention of innocence through transformative processes. Note there are three lambs; these could stand either for Henry, Jasper, and Charlotte, or Henry (singular).

zombie apocalypse (no powers) au where mob is turned but ritsu isn't ready to give up on him, so he simply takes him with him to find a cure. there's a Lot here to summarize, but my favorite part of this au is how ritsu slowly but surely starts to resent most humans and suddenly he's the lunatic kid who's on the zombie side of the war. more info in the tags where i don't shut up ever

Well I was thinking that it was kind unfair that Selly had no especial equipment of her own, or at least something similar to other Robot-Trains, soooooooo:

Selly's especial equipment: unlike the rest of her friends, she doesn't need to add an "extra layer" when she's using her powers. Instead, she modifies her hands by concentrating a lot of energy in her fingertips. The metal literally melts and reshapes into claws, that now are sharp and hot enough to cut through basically anything.

In a later actualization, she is also able to send and receive signals through these claws, this is especially useful when changing the properties of certain machines she has made or... to mentally control other trains! When she buries her claws into an engine, and activates the "yellow mode" she will connect "them" to her own engine, and the two will function as just one train. The other train is still conscious and able to communicate with her, but ultimately she's the one in control.

She uses the latter mostly during expeditions that require certain actions to be done with precision, for example setting up weather sensors on dangerous places.

Cons:

The claws take a "lot of time" to be ready to use, at least in comparison to the rest of the special equipment.

They can be tricky to control since she has to deactivate most of the sensors in her hands before melting them down.

She has to get her hands replaced each time she uses her ability for them to have normal functions again.

Pros:

After they are set they actually are the least energy-consuming special equipment.

They come in really handy for her day to day work.

When she is connected to another train, she can make their shared energy last a lot longer than usual, optimizing most of their general functions.

unfortunately I just thought of “animatic battle infection au” where danger sign comes back from Wherever The Fuck He Hid with bioluminescenty-species mushroom infection . No bioluminescenty will not tell anyone about it or how to cure it because it kills people and she enjoys this (also I like to think that since she is the fungi they took over whatever some poor rock object used to be for mobility . Can u tell I enjoy this kind of stuff)

Hey pups. I know Marshall is the medical pup, but I wanna ask all three of you this: got any advice for dealing with dental anxiety? I've got an appointment next week and I'm extremely nervous.

Right. Uh, I guess you can ask for local anesthesia...? That will probably just leave your gums and possibly your lips pretty numb like they're swollen for a few hours and that's it. For me, it's way better than the alternative!

Maybe take something you like with you, to ground yourself and help to feel safe. Though they'll probably ask you to hold a napkin too, to clean your mouth after all is done. The anesthesia still sounds like a good idea anyway!

I think some places might charge extra for anesthesia, but it's still an option anyway. The good side is that you'll barely feel anything, no pain at all! Since gums are highly sensible spots, it's better to be safe than sorry whenever there's something to be done with your teeth. And if there's bleeding afterwards, you don't need to worry! Just dilute a small spoon of salt and a generous amount of vinegar in half a glass of water, then shake it in your mouth for a minute and spit it out - don't force the water out, just let it go! Then repeat a few more times until you're done with the water glass. Vinegar is very useful for stopping bleeding like that!

(( Can confirm! From last year up to mid March this year, I had to remove eight teeth total (Not all at once! It was 2 by 2 with a few weeks between each couple removals... They were broken beyond repair) and both local anesthesia and vinegar in water were total lifesavers. With anesthesia, I didn't even feel anything, only pushing and pulling because of course we still feel that, but it didn't hurt not even slightly - if anything, all that stuff actually made me want to fall asleep 😂 and any bleeding afterwards was quickly stopped with this vinegar glass trick. It also helped that the dentist was very nice and attentive, and I could use earphones to listen to my favorite playlists and distract myself while she would work, maybe you can try that too! The difference is that I'm not afraid or nervous like you, I just am always listening to music anyway, but maybe whatever tool's noise might startle you, so yeah XD At some point I even used my phone to type messages so I could communicate with her, since I couldn't speak during it all, she said that was a clever idea! ))
