The show is called "Interview with the Vampire". Louis is the titular vampire (and protagonist so far). Daniel is the guy conducting the titular interview with the titular vampire. In s1 Daniel appeared in every single present day scene (even ones Louis wasn't in - and those scenes were often about Louis even if he wasn't there). They have a ton of parallels. Their dynamic is obviously significant. It's definitely Daniel's most developed relationship that we have seen on screen thus far.

So I find it odd when Danlou is treated as some sort of crackship.
