Aradin and Emana are two of my oldest characters from way back in 1996. I've been drawing them ever since, but this is my latest rendition. Aradin wields a naginata and Emana a daikyu, because I was extremely into Japan at the time (and admittedly still am).

Note
My king, I have begun learning the art of archery. As you are an expert archer yourself I would love some advice. Do you typically prefer a bow with a higher draw weight, or a quicker draw? Do you have a favorite draw style or technique, or do you tend to be more flexible depending on the situation?
Bows have never been a strong ally of mine in the past. I had a tendency to break more bows than I did loose arrows.
However, a bow was eventually made with my strength in mind. In your tongue it is called a yumi, or a daikyu. My own requires an impressive draw weight and favors strength over speed.
While others may fire three or four arrows to my one, my arrow is sure to meet its target and the several behind it.

Can anyone do me a favor and fill this list for me
I need ideas for "alternative weapons" that could be used as a skin for existing guild wars 2 weapon type. My intent (if I don't forget that is), is to draw those alternative weapons in the style of crafted weapons in addition to ones already inside the game. Won't bother with aquatic weapons, since they can replace the existing weapons as well.
Axe: Sickle maybe, Battle axe (like those with two heads instead of one), Falx, Dagger-axe
Dagger: Bowie knife, Karambit, Sai, Katar
Mace: Flanged mace, Spiked mace, Baton, Flail
Pistol: Revolver, maybe modern handguns like Beretta, Crossbow, Pistol that can be fired from wrist/arm
Sword: Small sword like Honor of Humanity, Katana (straight or otherwise), Khopesh, Tepoztopilli, Pata, Hook sword
Scepter: Scepter that looks like a Scepter
Focus: Anything goes I suppose (someone suggested a deck of cards)
Shield: Round shield but painted or with extra plating, Kite shield, Diamond shield, Wall shield, Buckler shield
Torch: Lantern, Electric lamp
Warhorn: idk about this one
Greatsword: Something like Belinda's, Bigger sword like Guts', Zweihander, Rhompaia
Hammer: Greataxe/halberd, Hammer with pointy end at the back, Giant mace?
Longbow: Longbows with different curves idk (Daikyu was suggested but I find it similar to a typical longbow)
Rifle: Hunting rifle, Lever action rifle, Semi-automatic rifle (like SKS), Pump action shotgun
Shortbow: Shortbows with different curves idk, Slingshot
Staff: Bo staff, Scythe, Spears, a staff with bells on it (imagine crafted Focus but bigger), Mancatcher, Fangbian Chan
Image from wiki showing Mithril Greatsword:

Paradise of the Strong: Since he doesn't want to kill unless direly necessary, Izuku starts using trick arrows very soon.
Then he met All Might and at his suggestion started using boxing glove arrows (from a daikyu bow they hurt A LOT, and Mei makes them, she knows how to make them work at distance), and the Regime heroes start FEARING him. And start also fearing Aizawa and Endeavour, as the scene of them laughing was just that scary. Even if the boxing glove arrow knocking someone out is indeed funny (as long as YOU aren't the victim).
He has quite the options available

Ok, I see your DPxDC tags and raise you...
.
.
Percy Jackson.
Legacy of Thanatos Danny, who triggered his latent Death abilities in the portal that half-killed him, and ends up being found out later than most the kids at Camp Half-Blood.
Simply because the Death Vibes in Amity are so strong not many monsters would see a single demigod as being worth being possibly made into silly string and have to weave themselves back into shape in Taryarus again.
This means Danny has Experience. Has had a chance to shine his battle instincts, and train up his powers, and give his divine heritage a good workout.
And now he's being tossed at a bunch of feral children, all of them bushy-tailed and starry-eyed at the sheer Presence this older demigod exudes. He's one of their leaders now. Everyone's older brother.
Except he always does or has the weirdest shit. Like how he's ALWAYS spotted in the mornings floating above the Big House roof, staring up at the fading stars, and then showed up to breakfast a couple hours later wearing a coat decorated with unmelting snowflakes.
Or that one time he set out as the Older Supervision for a quest with a group of younger campers. The Weird Death Boy to rival famous Nico di Angelo doesn't wear a Stygian Steel sword like the others might expect. No, he summons dory spears made of ice. The carvings on the handle have the weirdest creatures on them, and when asked, Danny will absolutely launch into the wildest stories of yeti doctors, flame-haired siren girls with a voice to match an angry Olympian, plant chicken entities set on turning Humans into nutrients for a plant children army. Ghosts of long-dead Gods that have a penchant for being cryptic bastards.
The one about Pandora becomes their favorite story to ask Danny for, while they're on the road. He talks about her as if he met her personally. Has a xyphos that he claims to have been personally gifted to him by her dead spirit after he proved himself in combat.
One mission of their oldest and strongest currently available had to take out a drakon. One Clarisse la Rue, famous Drakon-slayer, takes the fight to the damned thing, keeping it's attention on her so the others can flank it.
The monster's side erupts with arrows shot from a distance, all of them sinking jagged points into it's scaly hide, peeling back scales and muscle whenever it tried to rip them out. Their only child of Apollo is a little busy driving a spear into it's side to shoot, so Danny grabs a bow out of nowhere, and it looks so fucking unbalanced, one side bigger than the other ("it's called a "daikyu" and I made this one during an adventure with this old bow master I met once!"). But it shoots with deadly precision.
Danny also tends to disappear from camp when no one's looking, and come back later, always perfectly on time for events, wearing the oddest outfits, like big fluffy fur coats with the boots to match, or a red leather jacket and skinny jeans that look almost glued to his hips. Or the personal favorite of many that saw it: biker leathers, riding in on a bike that revved itself out of camp borders and into a portal after Danny dismounted it with a gentle pat to the fuel tank.
One time he shows up to a bonfire carrying a bowl of dried figs to share with the few that stayed in camp all year, instead of just for summer, tosses a handful into the fire, claiming them to be for "Grandpa Than", "The Old Clock", "Auntie Dora" and "Frosty the Snow Yeti", and lays back to look up and point out the co installations visible above, until his eyes are glowing an eerie green and his freckles lighting up a soft icy blue in tune with his worryingly slow heartbeat.
If you let Danny out of your sight, chances are that he'll come back with weird shit that he "got at a market" or was gifted to him by family and friends from somewhere that Danny STILL won't explain.
(The red jacket has every child of Aphrodite turning around to stare at him though, so he can't claim that one was "just a friend" or "I got it at a seasonal market stall")
The Hermes Cabin has a whole Conspiracy Board of planning how to follow Danny to wherever he goes when he "goes shopping". Except he seems to disappear between the trees, as if invisible. And then comes back with watermelon cubes and a glass of something that looks like battery acid. No one wants to try that one.
Underworld kids are just Built Different when it comes to what they can eat, and who can say if day-glow juice isn't some secret Thanatos-exclusive recipe? No one's gonna ask Nico for pomegranates, so We Don't Ask about the Weird Juice.
I will NEVER not want Danny to have Multicultural Zone Vibez.
Like? To just... just HAVE shit you CAN NOT GET in "this" Reality.
Is it a tee-shirt? The podcast he's listening too? Those snacks? Maybe it's the tea! He has a distinct accent. No one can place it. He talks about hitting up The Market. Is suuuuper vague about WHICH market, but it sounds awesome. He apparently gets like? ALL his shit from there.
Amazing deals on everything.
You've been over to his place. The linens look like something out of a fantasy novel. HAND MADE sorta shit. Like? It must have taken, what, months? Years? To make that? He got it "cheap", supposedly, because the shop owner is no longer in their "space phase".
None of his plates match. Some look futuristic, some are hand made, a few look CARVED. Is this bone?
"Don't worry about it."
You recognize maybe a third of the movies he owns, AT BEST. But you could have SWORN like three of them weren't out yet. And details are off in two others.
The dude is weird. His PLACE is weird. His FOOD is all knock off brands you've never heard off. They've gotta be. There's fruits you can't recognize in the fridge and he uses a vegetable you've never seen before in the stir fry. Tastes pretty good. Kinda garlicky. But, like?
You've NEVER seen him use any of them local grocery stores. You're half convinced, that even with a gun to his head? He would be able to tell you WHERE THEY ARE.
Dude.
And, yeah, it's a major city. A DC city of your choice. His weirdness lvl is so low, if constant, that it barely registers. Frankly? Everyone just thinks "ah, yes, an immigrant from... somewhere. Don't be a dick about it, me." And moves on. Gives it no further thought. But?
Eventually he's gonna make friends~
They ARE gonna want to know more about him.
And they're gonna realize he's WEIRD AF. Give them the LORE, Danny. It's driving them crazy!!
@hdgnj @babbling-babull @hypewinter @lolottes @mutable-manifestation
#dp x pjo#for the more observant of you:#spot the hints at a Johny 13/Danny/Kitty polycule :)#Danny has the solution for every problem squirrelled away#if he remembers it exists#i kinda wanna have the Stolls be the ones to successfully follow Danny into the Zone Market#they have a wild time of it#and Danny is happy so gush about it to his new friends#but no one believes them on half the shit they claim they saw there#the biker couple stealing Danny to go attend a bike race?#it's bonkers but they've seen Danny wander back into camp smelling of bike fuel and with a hickey or two#so that's more believable#i hope this makes SOME justice to the orignal prompt? it's like 1 a.m and i HAD to write it unlees i forget it :/#long post

Currently making builds for all the weapons in Warframe, since I have nothing else to do
This is a note to myself for which weapons I enjoyed playing the most for future reference.
Tested without the use of rivens or any other outside factors, except weapon arcanes
(Biggest r.i.p to me as an Ash main)
My favorite primary weapons:
Acceltra Prime (Already one of my mains)
Aeolak
Alternox (Have always liked it. Fun to shoot. Plus, it's huge and looks really cool. It's flashy and has one of the best designs in the game. It's reload animation is also fun)
Ambassador
Amprex (Long time favorite)
Argonak
Astilla Prime (Might main it. Edit: definitely maining it)
-----------------
Basmu (Stronger than I thought)
Baza Prime
Boar Prime
Boltor Prime
Bubonico
Buzlok
-----------------
Cedo (Used for a utility for melee priming, but realized it's primary mode is just as strong when you prime the enemies with it first. Eats through steel path enemies)
Convectrix (Fun to shoot)
-----------------
Dera Vandal
-----------------
Exergis (Can one shot level 200 heavy gunners without a single headshot, so might main)
-----------------
Fulmin Prime
-----------------
Glaxion Vandal (Fun to shoot)
Gotva Prime
-----------------
Hema (The heartbeat effect on reload is neat)
-----------------
Nagantaka Prime (Didn't like at first until I discovered its alt mode)
Naturak (I mean, I think?? I like it?)
-----------------
Phage (Move over, Astilla)
Phantasma Prime (Good steel path weapon)
Proboscis Cernos (It's fun watching enemies get snatched up. I mostly use it for a little crowd control)
-----------------
Quellor
-----------------
Sancti Tigris (Was my most played weapon for years)
Scourge Prime
Sobek (Was also a weapon I used for years)
Soma Prime (Another long timer)
Stahlta
Steflos (I'm in love with its reload animation. It's also fun to shoot, which I haven't been able to say about a lot of the weapons so far, even the ones I like)
Strun Prime
Synapse
-----------------
Tenora Prime
Tigris Prime
Trumna
Total amount of formas used: 561
Finished. Not listing Kuva and Tenet weapons until I re-farm them all with the proper elements. Same with incarnon weapon forms
The primary weapons I absolutely hated:
Afentis
Attica (Okay, it's not THAT bad)
-----------------
Carmine Penta (Any variant)
-----------------
Javlok
-----------------
Mutalist Cernos
-----------------
Sybaris (Any variant)
-----------------
Quanta Vandal
-----------------
Torid
-----------------
Zhuge Prime
-----------------
Pretty much every bow and sniper, except Daikyu or however you spell it. They aren't bad. I've made some pretty strong builds, so that's not the issue. I just don't care for them.....in this game
My top 10 most used primaries based on my overall profile stats:
Tenet Arca Plasmor (Haven't touched it in ages)
Ignis Wraith (I remember being called a noob in the squad chat by a legendary 1 player a few years ago for using this weapon and now as a legendary 4 I still use it. I don't get the superiority people hold above themselves, bc they don't participate in whatever the current meta is. It's never that serious. The weapon is good and it gets shit done. Of course I'm going to use it)
Sancti Tigris
Acceltra (Non prime version)
Amprex
Cedo (Used for priming)
Soma Prime
Sobek (Patiently waiting for a kuva varient. Edit: my prayers have been answered)
Phantasma Prime (Mostly used to kill eximus in steel path)
Alternox
My favorite secondary weapons:
Acrid (Corpus killer)
Afuris Prime (Saw a popular build on overframe say this weapon isn't worth it and is just mastery fodder and I have to respectfully disagree. It's extremely powerful. Can even shred steel path enemies, so.......)
Akarius Prime
Akjagara Prime (Really like this one. 10's across the board)
Aksomati Prime
Akstiletto Prime
Akvasto Prime
Arca Scisco
Athodai (Was worth doing railjack for)
-----------------
Catabolyst (I love it. I know it's early, but I'm thinking about maining it. Edit: Nope, my dumbass keeps forgetting I have to manually reload it. Just going around shooting nothing)
Cyanex
-----------------
Embolist
Epitaph (Perfect for disruption or slowing things in general)
-----------------
Hikou (Knew I was going to like it before I even finished modding it)
Hystrix
-----------------
Kompressa (Really fun. My equivalent to the Alternox and Steflos and how fun it is to shoot. Edit: It's the goat, actually. One of the strongest secondaries I've ever played with)
-----------------
Lex Prime (My second most used secondary)
-----------------
Magnus Prime
-----------------
Ocucor
-----------------
Pandero
Pox
Prisma Angstrum
Prisma Twin Gremlins
Pyranna
-----------------
Quatz
-----------------
Secura Dual Cestra (Been using the heck out of these bad boys)
Spira Prime
Staticor
Synoid Gammocor
-----------------
Twin Kohmak
Tysis
Total amount of formas used: 348
Finished. Just like the primaries, I'm not listing Kuva and Tenet weapons until I re-farm them all with the proper elements. Same with incarnon weapon forms
The secondary weapons I absolutely hated:
Aegrit
-----------------
Castanas (Sold them for credits immediately)
-----------------
Knell Prime (Yes, even despite how strong it is)
Kulstar
-----------------
Sancti Castanas (Joined his cousin)
Sonicor (Could be used for crowd control, but can't be bothered. Will probably sell it)
Stug (What the hell is that)
-----------------
Twin Viper Wraith
-----------------
Vaykor Marelok
-----------------
Zymos
My top 10 most used secondaries based on my overall profile stats:
Kuva Nukor (Used it for priming when I first got into steel path. Haven't touched it since. Plus, if I want to prime I'll use the cedo now)
Synoid Gammacor (Used it for years. Was my all time favorite weapon. Haven't used it in ages though)
Lex Prime (Was mostly used back when we didn't have exalted weapons we could mod separately, so I picked this weapon for Mesa's peacemaker ability)
Staticor (Obsessed with the way it shoots. It's charged mode is also cool)
Twin Grakatas (Don't remember using this tbh)
Akarius Prime
Tenet Cyrcon
Afuris Prime
Sporelacer (Okay, so this is actually my most played secondary. For some reason it's played percentage has been stuck on 1.3% usage for the past 2 years and won't budge. Really wish DE would do something about this, so my profile is actually accurate)
Pox (I like this weapon, but it's only here, bc it was the weapon I picked for an elite archimedea rotation that I kept going back into, so I could help people get the hidden sumdali. I didn't like my primary weapon rolls and I don't care too much for melee weapons, so I used this for my primary source of damage)
Favorite melee weapons so far. I'm not really a fan of swinging things around, but I'll try to make the most of it:
Argo & Vel
Arum Spinosa
-----------------
Broken War (Got me through steel path. Haven't really used it much since then)

BACKGROUND ----
Claros is a mischievous one, with a penchant for trickery and deception. During his time before the Jump, he spent most of his time climbing through the understructure of the Zariman. Deep within the engineering sector, he founded a secret base where he and his closest friends hung out and stashed ill-gotten goods from around the ship.
Constantly at odds with authority figures, Claros made a name for himself by constantly being an unmitigated menace to the crew. On one notable occasion, he caused a large chemical fire in one of the many concourse areas, severely damaging a lot of the surrounding structures and greenery. After this incident, Claros was effectively locked away by the crew, kept under lock and key for everyone's safety.
After the Jump, Claros's friends came to his rescue, tucking away deep into the understructures of the ship, hiding from the crazed adults as they morphed and changed into horrific monsters. Their old hideout quickly became a safehouse for a very large number of children. It was in the safety of their hideaway that Claros first encountered the Man In The Wall.
Over the length of time that the children remained stranded in the Void, Claros and his friends grew exceedingly resentful of the Orokin and their former keepers. If they hadn't been so careless, this wouldn't have happened! So when the ship was recovered and the Orokin began retrieving the children, Claros urged everyone to stay hidden, so let the Orokin discard the ship so they could escape. Eventually, almost everyone left the hideout, leaving only Claros and his seven closest friends.
They never emerged. They instead bided their time and escaped into the greater system the first chance they got. They commandeered a small ship, hacked its pilot Cephalon, and fled to beyond the Outer Terminus in search of an old Relay that had gone dark before the Zariman was lost. They found it, and began work on setting up a secret base outside the purview of the Orokin. They remained far away from any other living souls so that their Void powers could do no harm. Soon after they arrived, they found a means to bind their Void energy safely, though at great cost to their physiological function. They deemed this a fair price to pay and began their work.
Claros and his friends, now calling themselves Orbis Vitae, hacked into communications and kept watch on the system, planning on saving the other Zariman children from the Orokin. Through this espionage they learned of Margulis, and eventually her death and the advent of Transference and Warframes. They discovered the state of things in the system, that the Orokin were at war against an ancient threat from Tau, and that their old friends, now named Tenno, were being used as weapons of war against it.
Orbis Vitae rallied together, stealing Somatic Links and Warframes, then teaching themselves how to use them. Eventually they were able to master their newfound abilities and launched targeted strikes against Orokin supply depots to steal weapons and materials. The lost Relay that they'd made into their home grew vibrant and functional as a mobile base of operations. Using the Void as cover, they moved across the system, hunting for their old friends to save them...
But they were lost in their Warframes. Their minds had been locked away. They were mindless slaves to Orokin will, unable to be reasoned with. Orbis Vitae quickly realized that it was a lost cause. That their friends were beyond help...
When the Old War reached its fever pitch, Orbis Vitae spent their time defending small outposts that the Orokin abandoned, fighting off hordes of Sentients with impressive success rates.
But then Hunhow began corrupting the Warframes, with his daughter Natah having infiltrated the Orokin and turning the Tenno against their former masters. Orbis Vitae were not immune to this seduction, and soon they turned their weapons on those they had once protected.
Natah eventually turned against her father and hid the Tenno away on Lua, shunting the satellite into the Void for their protection. Like all other Tenno, Orbis Vitae fell into the deep sleep of the Second Dream...
CURRENT LORE ----
Claros was the first to awaken from the long dream. After spending many years fighting the Grineer and Corpus, staving off the Infestation, and delving into the Void Towers for lost secrets, Claros discovered the hidden truth of the Lotus. When his Excalibur Warframe encountered his true self on Lua, he retained very little memory of what had come before. He remembered his friends faces, but not their names or their clan. He gave himself to the study of Tenno Schools, eventually dedicating himself to Naramon.
Over time, flashes of memory came back to him. He remembered a black tower, shrouded among the abyssal dark as it floated free in space, and knew he had to find it. He spent all of his free time searching, putting his ship Cephalon to work whenever they had a down moment. Finally, after many long years, he found it. He entered the long-dormant dojo and instantly was inundated with memories.
He remembered their mission to protect those deemed unworthy of the Orokin's favor. He remembered their names, their heartache at their friends being turned into living weapons, he remembered losing himself to the Sentient corruption... He remembered everything.
He put out the call to Orbis Vitae. He knew where each of his friends were. He called them to their old home. And they came. One by one.
Ador, callsign Paladin. His pure white Oberon Warframe had protected every innocent under his charge, and his Magistar had crushed any foe foolish enough to get close.
Anna, callsign Angel. Her gilded Trinity Warframe had healed more wounds than she could care to count, and her Tigris shotgun had eviscerated even more enemies.
Shay, callsign Fury. Her crimson Valkyr Warframe needed no weapon to shred thousands of enemies into fine strands of meat and metal. Her body had once been white and gold... Before the killing began.
Adri, callsign Nix. Her shrouded Ivara Warframe had never been detected. Any target unfortunate enough to be caught in her Daikyu's sights never knew what hit it.
B'hen, callsign Brutal. His bestial Chroma Warframe had never known flesh that it couldn't burn, robotics it couldn't jolt, or shields it couldn't freeze. His Galatine cleaned up whatever dross was left.
Lizzy, callsign Duplex. Her duplicitous Equinox Warframe supported allies and harried enemies in equal measure. You would know what was in store based on if she was carrying her Soma or twin Kronen tonfas.
Nero, callsign Indigo. Their elegant Limbo Warframe danced the line between reality and the Void. With a flick of the wrist or a snap of the fingers, enemies were unmade and allies protected, all without the need of a weapon.
Now finally reunited and their memories beginning to be restored, Clan Orbis Vitae began their mission anew in this age of strife and conflict.

That's it for now. Maybe I'll do Clara next. She's my Drifter version of Claros and... She's a TRIP. lol

And don't forget that typically the Incarnon challenges are fairly basic requirements whereas to figure out what (probably sub par) weapon you got a riven for, you might have to do something incredibly specific! Kill 8 grineer snipers on the Plains of Eidolon without being detected and you might get a Special Mod for the Mk 1 Kunai! Or, if you're really lucky, complete a level 30 or higher exterminate solo without being detected with the hobbled dragon key equipped and we'll give you a daikyu riven.
...versus a system where you can tell what weapons you can get upgrades for, the caveat being if you want an upgrade for a weapon you can get earlier on you might need to wait a while since there is a weeky schedule for what weapon upgrade kits are available. And then the challenges are like, complete a mission solo with this weapon. Kill 100 enemies. No dragon key to debuff you required.
Incarnons: Stable, available to everyone, no RNG involved, no ridiculous "market", no risk of sudden drops in efficacy, isn't a lie of a system that pretends to make bad weapons good- it quite literally IS that.
Rivens: Unstable, 9 layers of RNG in the forever pursuit of a god roll, a ludicrous vapor fueled market where speculation is king and "prizes" are touted as worth thousands of plat despite contributing less than nothing to the game or the players who own them, is a lie of a system built on the idea of propping up underperforming weapons- but in actuality only succeeds in making good weapons even better or giving newly buffed weapons a few months of game-breaking performance until their disposition drops. Dumb and smell bad.
In conclusion, Incarnons are what Rivens should have always been- breath new life into bad weapons by just... making them good weapons. Not attaching a lottery system fueled by speculation and drowning in RNG that 9 out of 10 times does nearly nothing to the weapon when all's said and done (A good weapon remains good, a bad weapon remains bad).
