The Last Words of 30 Famous Serial Killers
Some killers have offered sincere apologies for the heinous offenses they committed. Others’ final words were filled with anger and resentment, while some seemed indifferent. A few of the most interesting final words are quizzically strange rantings.
What are the last words of some of the most famous serial slayers? The last words on this list come from the mouths of some of the most heinous, dangerous people in human history.
James French
“Hey, fellas! How about this for a headline for tomorrow’s paper? ‘French Fries.'” (August 10, 1966)
James French has the distinction of being the last person to be executed in Oklahoma, via electric chair
Carl Panzram
“Hurry up, you Hoosier bastard. I could kill 10 men while you’re fooling around.” (September 5, 1930)
Peter Kurten
“Tell me. After my head has been chopped off, will I still be able to hear, at least for a moment, the sound of my own blood gushing from the stump of my neck? That would be a pleasure to end all pleasures.” (July 2, 1931)
Peter Kurten, AKA “The Vampire of Dusseldorf,” drank the blood of at least one person.
John Wayne Gacy
Kiss My Ass (May 10, 1994)
Thomas J. Grasso
“I did not get my Spaghetti O’s. I got spaghetti. I want the press to know this.” (March 20, 1995)
Tom Ketchum
“I’ll be in Hell before you start breakfast, boys. Let her rip.” (April 26, 1901)
Jeffery Dahmer
“I don’t care if I live or die. Go ahead and kill me.” (Novemer 28, 1994)
H.H. Holmes
“Take your time. Don’t bungle it.” (May 7, 1896)
Dr. H.H. Holmes was one of the first American serial killers.
Albert Fish
“I don’t even know why I’m here.” (January 16, 1936)
In the 1920s, Albert Fish claimed that he had slain at least 100 children.
Ted Bundy
“I’d like you to give my love to my family and friends.” (January 24, 1989)
The exact number of women Ted Bundy offed or hurt in the 1970s is unknown, but some say the number is somewhere in the 100s.
Marcel Petiot
“Gentleman, I have one last piece of advice: Look away. This will not be pretty to see.” (May 25, 1946)
Petiot was a French doctor who was only found out when the remains of 23 people were found in his Parisian home during WW2.
Steven Timothy Judy
“I don’t hold any grudges. This is my doing. Sorry it happened.” (March 9, 1981)
Steven Judy slayed a woman and her three children in 1979.
William Bonin
“I would suggest that when a person has a thought of doing anything serious against the law, that before they did that they should go to a quiet place and think about it seriously.” (February 23, 1996)
William Bonin’s habit of dumping cadavers near freeways earned him the nickname Freeway Killer.
Amelia Dyer
“I have nothing to say.” (June 10, 1896)
Dyer is believed to have slain 400 children during a 20-year period in Victorian England.
Peter Manuel
“Turn up the radio and I’ll go quietly.” (July 11, 1958)
Manuel was an American-born Scottish man who is believed to have slain from nine to 18 people during the 1950s.
Francis Crowley
“You sons of bitches. Give love to Mother.” (January 21, 1932)
Francis Crowley went on a three-month spree that ended when he was sent to the electric chair.
Angel Maturino Resendiz
“I want to ask if it is in your heart to forgive me. You don’t have to. I know I allowed the Devil to rule my life. I just ask you to forgive me and ask the Lord to forgive me for allowing the devil to deceive me. I thank God for having patience in me. I don’t deserve to cause you pain. You do not deserve this. I deserve what I am getting.” (June 27, 2006)
Reséndiz left people’s cadavers near railroad tracks.
Fritz Haarmann
“I repent, but I do not fear death.” (April 15, 1925)
Fritz Haarmann of Germany, active in the years following WWI, became known as the Vampire of Hanover because he would bite through people’s throats.
Ned Kelly
“Such is life.” (November 11, 1880)
Ned Kelly was often considered a folk hero in Australia.
Donald Henry Gaskins
“I’ll let my lawyers talk for me. I’m ready to go.” (September 6, 1991)
Donald Henry Gaskins was known as the Meanest Man in America for slaying at least 100 people, most of them hitchhikers, from the 1950s to the 1980s.
Israel Keyes
“Okay, talk is over, words are placid and weak. Back it with action or it all comes off cheap. Watch close while I work now, feel the electric shock of my touch, open your trembling flower, or your petals I’ll crush.” (December 2, 2012)
Israel Keyes took his own life; the words are from his final note.
John George Haigh
In a letter to his girlfriend, Barbara: “It is difficult to say farewell under these circumstances, but you will understand that you will always be in my thoughts. You know I have been proud of our association: it has always been an honourable one. I shall remember your great kindness and devotion. Now I must leave you.” (August 10, 1949)
In the 1940s, John George Haigh dissolved six women’s cadavers in acid.
Kenneth McDuff
“I am ready to be released. Release me.” (November 17, 1998)
After his sentence was commuted in 1989, Kenneth McDuff killed again before being detained in 1992.
Carroll Cole
“It’s all right.” (December 6, 1985)
Carroll Cole possibly committed acts of cannibalism
Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck
“I wanna shout it out; I love Martha! What do the public know about love?” – Raymond Fernandez (March 8, 1951)
“My story is a love story. But only those tortured by love can know what I mean […] Imprisonment in the Death House has only strengthened my feeling for Raymond….” – Martha Beck (March 8, 1951)
In the 1940s, Fernandez and Beck would place personal ads in newspapers with the intent of taking money from the women who replied.
Aileen Wuornos
“I’d just like to say I’m sailing with the rock, and I’ll be back like Independence Day, with Jesus, June 6th. Like the movie, big mother ship and all. I’ll be back.” (October 9, 2002)
From 1989 to 1990, Aileen Wuornos terminated seven men, with the excuse that each of them tried to rape her.

Hindley, with her lover Ian Brady, shocked 1960s England when they killed five children.
Earle Nelson
“I am innocent. I stand innocent before God and man. I forgive those who have wronged me and ask forgiveness of those I have injured. God have mercy!” (January 13, 1928)
During a two-year period in the mid-1920s, Earle Nelson felled 22 women, most of whom were landladies he approached about rooms they wanted to rent.

Jeffrey Dahmer victims
New discoveries about the Dahmer case involving some of his alleged victims. Find out all the information we found on our Reddit and Substack pages.
Tumblr media
Stephen Hicks
Jeffrey Dahmer's first victim, Stephen Hicks, was the only true victim, with the rest of the case being a result of unfortunate circumstances rather than Dahmer's intentional violence. Thea death of Hicks might have been an accident, possibly involving a barbell, and Dahmer's parents may have disposed of the body to avoid legal trouble. Additionally, we suspect a person named "Jeff Six" who was Dahmer’s best friend at that time was also involved in the accident. Dahmer, feeling guilty for years, may have eventually confessed out of remorse, with the Hicks incident being the catalyst for everything that followed in the Dahmer case.
Here are the new findings involving Hicks.

https://www.reddit.com/r/TheDahmerCase/s/p38zJkKwoc
Steven Tuomi
Steven Tuomi's remains were never found, and Dahmer's confession is the only evidence of his alleged murder. Dahmer was not convicted of Tuomi's murder despite the confession.
Similarly, James Doxtator, Richard Guerrero, Edward Smith, and David Thomas' remains were also never recovered.
The primary "evidence" for these murders comes from Dahmer's own confession, and there is no physical proof of their deaths.
This suggests that, for these specific victims, the case heavily relies on Dahmer's statements, raising questions about the concrete evidence available in these instances.
You can read more on the case on the following links:

James Edward Doxtator
James Doxtator never lived in Milwaukee. He's from Green Bay, WI.
There is nobody named James Edward Doxtator, born 1973, listed in any official source. James Edward Doxtator was born in 1964, in Green Bay, WI.
Find out more about it here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/TheDahmerCase/s/9nkMmQi4FS
Richard Guerrero
We found alleged Dahmer victim Richard Guerrero's death certificate on Ancestry.com.
He was born August 1, 1959 in Wisconsin to Pablo Guerrero and Irene Rodriguez.
He died February 3, 1960 in Crystal City, Texas from influenza when he was 6 months old

Raymond Smith
The identification of "Cash D" as Raymond Smith in the Jeffrey Dahmer case seems complex, particularly because the information from Dahmer's confession and the official investigation don’t perfectly align.
Jeffrey Dahmer allegedly referred to one of his victims as "Cash D," but how authorities linked this alias to Raymond Smith specifically is unclear. Dahmer’s confession doesn’t explicitly say he identified Raymond Smith from a photo, leaving some ambiguity about how this connection was made.
Another individual, Mark Lee Brown, apparently matched the description of "Cash D" based on Dahmer’s statements or possibly physical features. However, this identification may have added confusion, as Brown and Smith are different people.
In the police report, someone named Raymond Lamont Smith appears. This person shares the same birth month and day (August 10) as Mark Lee Brown but was born in 1957, whereas Brown was born in 1963. This discrepancy raises questions about potential mix-ups or errors in the investigation, possibly due to shared names or similar details.
Possible Explanations:
- Photo or Visual Identification: It’s possible that the identification of Raymond Smith as "Cash D" may have relied on other witness accounts, circumstantial evidence, or identifying features not explicitly mentioned in Dahmer's confession.
- Mistaken Identity: The confusion between Mark Lee Brown and Raymond Lamont Smith could suggest that authorities initially mixed up the identities based on superficial details, such as birth dates or descriptions.
- Dahmer's Memory: Dahmer’s recollections during his confession may not have been precise, leading to difficulties in aligning the victims with clear identification records.
Without direct evidence, it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly how Raymond Smith was conclusively identified, and the presence of multiple names and birth details only complicates the narrative. It seems that gaps in Dahmer's confession, combined with similarities between individuals, created confusion in the identification process.

Eddie Smith
We couldn't find any official records for an ''Edward Warren Smith'' that matches the description of the "victim''. He's also not listed in the Social Security Death Index (SSDI). However, Ernest Richard Smith is in the SSDI:

Jeffrey Dahmer was a terrifying person and no one should forget that
Because of the Dahmer Netflix series, always more people approached the case and informed themselves by reading books or following old interviews. Jeffrey Dahmer’s figure is been brought back and became subject of discussion worldwide again after 30 years. He became a trend topic but it has also aroused much criticism, especially from the families of the victims.
But Jeffrey Dahmer was different, he was a unique type of serial killer, and this is the reason why he made people feel so fascinated. His crimes were gruesome, horrible and extreme, something that the human mind struggles to understand, yet Jeffrey Dahmer wasn’t a sadistic psychopath and he felt some kind of remorse too. At the end, he also wanted and tried to help victims’ families he felt sorry to. He’s indeed a man who surprised people with his behaviors and so many people came close trying to figure him out. But like a double-edged sword, some people’s response isn't all puppy dogs and rainbows.
Tumblr media

People felt close to him, after the news broke out many people find themselves to feel for Jeffrey. It’s not a very big new news, the most infamous serial killers always found out themselves having “groupies” often assisting at their trials, or people writing to them stating how similar they felt. In the worst occasions, it was a case of Hybristophilia.
In modern days the same thing is happening and it’s too easy to forget the man’s abhorrent crimes. Too easily people tend to minimize the eerie of the acts, making appear Jeffrey like a wounded victim as well. Jeffrey suffered for some things too, and had a couple of mental diseases. It was undeniable that he too was a human being and displayed of human emotions. “Humanising” a serial killer is not a bad thing, it makes us realise we don’t have a monster but another person. Defining a criminal “monster” or “devil” only help us to dissociate from him, not considering him “one of us”. It makes us feel safer, having a demoniac entity to point the finger to, but the sad truth criminals are humans as well. Jeffrey was human.
Tumblr media
Jeffrey Dahmer during Inside Edition interview with Nancy Glass in 1993.
But in the other side, some people tended to overemphasize the man’s problems too much, and made him become a new victim. But Jeffrey Dahmer was a murder first of all and took the life of 17 innocent people. He was selfish and careless, he saw people as objects for his own sexual purposes and he disposed of them when they were no longer needed.
“Reflecting on the invitation, Jackson remembered how he and Dahmer were outside on the rear landing. Dahmer on the steps going upstairs to the second floor while Jackson was below. Dahmer starred straight ahead, transfixed, never looking at Jackson when he extended the invitation.”
- From ‘Monster The True Story of Jeffrey Dahmer Murders’. Writer Anne E. Schwartz describes the meeting she had with a Oxford Apartments tenant Doug Jackson
Jeffrey Dahmer was aware of what he was doing, and even if he knew it was wrong, he allowed himself to act how he wanted. His modus operandi was the same: inviting the person at home, drugging them, raping them, killing them, using the corpse how he wanted to then disposing the body. Jeffrey Dahmer was responsible for the following crimes:
Serial murder
Rape
Child molestation
Sexual assault
Sexual harassment
Public nudity
Necrophilia
Cannibalism

“Konerak, colloquially known as ‘Khum’ or ‘Kolack’, was a friendly, high-spirited youngster who did not make enemies. The next evening, Saturday, 25 May, he went to a party at Crystal Palace with Laotian friends. On Sunday morning he took a shower at 10 a.m., then went downtown. That was the last time his brother saw him. The brother was called Somsack; for Konerak Sinthasomphone was about to be the second member of this immigrant family to fall into the hands of Jeffrey Dahmer”
- The Shrine Of Jeffrey Dahmer
Jeffrey’s first victim was named Steven Hicks. It was 1978 and Jeffrey was just 18 years old. He found himself alone at home and decided to take a ride with his car. It’s when he met Steven, a hitchhiker, and together reached Dahmer’s house to have some fun. June 18 1978, the last day Steven Hicks was seen alive, his parents were waiting for him to come home to celebrate his dad’s birthday. Dahmer killed him because he didn’t want to let him go, he tried to dispose the body throwing the parts from a ravine he knew but when a police office stopped him he decided to spread the rests on the yard behind his house. After 9 years he tried to behave correctly trying to moderate his impulses, but in September 15, 1987 he fell again and Steven Tuomi, a 24 years old man, became his second victim. Dahmer put him in a suitcase and disposed of the body at the grandma’s house. Following these two killing accidents, many more would follow, and Dahmer would eventually surrender. He gave in to his impulses, making a total of 17 victims, among which two were minors of 14 years old of age. In between of the years before the homicides arrest, Dahmer was arrested for other crimes as indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and sexual assault of a 13 year old boy, Somsak Sinthasomphone. After that he was followed by probation officer Donna Chester, they had to meet twice a week, and even if Dahmer was a cooperative client, he never expressed himself about the crimes he was committing and he didn’t seek for help. He continued to commit his crimes, drugging and raping attractive gay men he found, killing some as well. He kept rests of the victims, reducing what was left to three black garbage bags, and so from a day to another a human being was wiped off the face of the Earth. And more he continued, less careful he became, turning himself into a killing machine. He lost his job, he was going to loose the apartment as well, but he was only interested to follow a sexual pleasure, trying to find more boys to carry home. He wondered around the place unstoppably asking from a man to another to come to his house, when the escape of Tracy Edwards followed and Dahmer was subsequently arrested.

“One of his workmates, Richard Burton, was driving with a friend when he saw him standing on a street corner and gave him a ride. Dahmer said he wanted to get out of Wisconsin and go to Florida. Burton wished him luck, and he got out. To his friend, Burton said he thought Jeff had ‘lost it all’ – no job, no friends. A little later he spotted him again talking to a black man at a bus-stop.
On 21 July, after dismembering the body of Joseph Bradehoft, he was wandering around the Grand Avenue Mall where, in two separate incidents, he propositioned Hispanic men with the invitation to earn money by posing for pictures and watching videos. They were Joseph Rosa and Ricardo Ortiz. Both refused.
The events of 22 July depict a mind at once unfocused, listless, and delirious, unhinged. Dahmer got up late, in the midst of his human debris, and went out for a beer. Sopa Princewill accosts him in the corridor with a 40-ounce bottle, and warns him that he may not last until his lease runs out at the end of the month – he may be evicted sooner because his place smelt so awful. He listens, but does not react in any noticeable manner. He goes downtown and is walking along 3rd Street near Wells Street at 2 p.m. when he sees a black man sitting on a sidewalk bench. This is twenty-year-old Ormell Holmes. He asks Holmes if he wants to earn $50. What do I have to do for that? asks Holmes. Pose for pictures and drink some rum. Holmes indicates that he is not interested in that kind of thing, and Dahmer moves on. He approaches another man in the same street, with the same result.
He now goes to his favourite haunt, the Grand Avenue Mall, and has some fast food. He is seen there at 3.30 talking to a man on one of the benches. A little later, he asks a sixteen-year-old black boy called Anderson to come home with him and watch movies, and his offer is again declined. At 4.30 Dennis Campbell, who works at Milwaukee’s famous German restaurant, Karl Ratzch’s, is in the Mall with his girlfriend Julie Weyer, and goes to the men’s room on the first floor. Having urinated, he is drying his hands on a wall dryer when the door opens and a scruffy white man with several days’ growth of beard walks in and stands behind him, then moves beside him. There is no long preparatory choreography. The white man says straight out, ‘Do you want to make fifty dollars real quick?’ ‘Doing what?’ says Campbell. ‘Come to my apartment and watch videos.’ ‘I don’t think so,’ says Campbell, and the man, whom he thought ‘weird, creepy and very unusual’, says, ‘O.K.’ He told Julie about it afterwards and she laughed.”

What the fuck is it with tiktok and having fucking crushes on murderers? it’s happening again with Wade Steven Wilson who killed two innocent women, and is now being sent nudes, letters, has FUNDRAISERS, and a entire fan base and support fan accounts on instagram and TikTok. He has a swastika tattooed on his face, he’s being sentenced to death in Florida. He is on death row, he doesn’t need support, he is a piece of shit who killed two women and almost killed two others. This happened in 2018 with Cameron Coyle Herrin, where people supported him even though he killed a woman and her child while he went over 100 mph in a 40 zone. This happened with the entire Jeffrey Dahmer netflix series a few years ago, this happened with Ted Bundy, he commited necrophila, rape, sexual assault, and is believed to have murdered over what he has confessed to. When will you people fucking learn to NOT support serial killers? Get the hell offline, the victims families are real, the victims who were murdered are real, this isn’t a book or TV show.

I genuinely want to murder whoever invented the "He's not a villain he's just broken... 🥺" quote.
Seeing the way people who haven't even seen the Mario movie straight up call Peach a bitch because she didn't want to marry Bowser is genuinely freaking me out, "he just wanted love... 🥺" mf threatened millions of people, specifically targets her kingdom, and then threatened to kill the people she cares about infront of her.
And I know god damn well that the "BuT iT's JuSt FiCtIoN. 🤓" people are the same ones who get angry at Bowuigi for being “problematic,” (its gay) These people seem to forget fiction is a reflection of reality, if your immediate thought to a fictional princess rejecting the hell lizard who threatened to kill her friends is “she's such a bitch" that's just misogyny, plain and simple.
And I'm not even gonna bother trying to point out how these people are 100% using the exact same arguments as the pedophiles who drew child porn of streamers during minecrafts rise back into popularity in 2020.

Bowser isn't the only case of this either.
I've been watching people do this for years with villains like Skywalker, Discord, The Joker, Steven Universe's Diamonds, Bojack Horseman, Silco, Walter White, Patrick Bateman, Every single game of thrones character, Resident Evil antagonists, jigsaw, and last but not least, REAL LIFE SERIAL KILLER AND RAPIST JEFFREY DAHMER.
You know what every single one of these characters has in common, except for maybe Silco and Jigsaw?
First of all, They're very pretty, their actors and designs are incredibly attractive,
And second of all, they're bigots.
I was going to write an explanation on why these patterns have been patterning for years and why it's gotten so bad, but i'm genuinely so tired of having to explain this over and over again, if you have enough critical thinking skills, you should potentially be able to think about this, and if you don't, than it's a good thing I gave up on writing the rest of this.
TLDR: People are being misogynistic over a maybe 18 year old and a "nice guy" lizard and i point out how this is really fucked up and weird.

Yes, I agree with your answer. What happens primarily is that when someone grows up in a way that represses any and all feelings within themselves and with the reality that they dealt with such an unstable family environment, nothing good will come of it in the future. Something specific about Dahmer was also his ability to depreciate himself to the point of absolutely denying any influence his parents had on him. He absolutely did not accept the truth that his upbringing had obviously completed him into who he had become. He made a point of attributing all the blame solely to himself, and this was just another consequence of the neglect he had suffered because, unfortunately, his parents thought that it was all just his way of being. It is natural to be reserved and introverted, but not when he practiced isolation, thinking that it was some kind of "mistake" for his mother. Over time, his struggle against everything he did not understand about himself was like an eruption ready to explode, that excess of oppression that was violence against himself, so much so that when he committed the first murder, we can see that he acted solely out of impulse driven by the desperation of being alone again. When you see that he spent years tormented by guilt thinking about Steven Hicks, and that he cried, there is no doubt that he was a person who had no lack of feelings and emotions; he just behaved in the eyes of others with false indifference. He fought against those demons for nine years and unfortunately was defeated in the second murder when he killed unintentionally, without knowing how it happened. Regarding the negligence, what saddens me is that if there had been more investigation by his parents at that time, perhaps things would have been different. The family wound combined with the wound of his own existence (Dahmer was clearly depressed) which he did not see as useful from an early age. This explains why, as a teenager, he had no interest in almost anything.
And that's the thing that gets me, is that there were signs and people were alerted and nothing happened. If in 1968, a teacher can see signs of neglect, what does that tell you? And I do believe that he was molested by a neighbour, Lionel said it in his 1988 trial and I don't believe that Lionel would lie for his son. That would also help to explain his hypersexuality and his lack of boundaries. Especially because he tried to molest David. There are so many skeletons in this family.
I have to wonder how self involved two people are to not notice that their teenage son is a full blown alcoholic. It's not like he was trying to hide it or anything? He was a messy drunk. It's a cry for help and no one listened.

JEFFREY DAHMER
JEFFREY DAHMER
21 May 1960 - 28 November 1994
SERIAL KILLER
Jeffrey Dahmer is an American serial killer who killed 17 men from 1978-1991.
Dahmer’s first killed in 1978, aged 18 when he picked up hitchhiker Steven Hicks, 18 and lured the man to his house so they could drink and listen to music. When Hicks went to leave, Dahmer killed him with a dumbbell. In 1979, he enlisted in the US Army and raped two soldiers and he was discharged. He was working at a Chocolate Factory in Milwaukee in 1985 when he started going to gay clubs. He started giving sleeping pills to his victims, then raped them and then started killing them.
Dahmer was living with his grandmother until she kicked him out due to him bringing men home at all hours at night and she didn’t like the weird odour coming from the basement and garage. Dahmer found an apartment, the next day he was arrested for drugging and raping a boy aged 13.
In 1991, Dahmer met Errol Lindsey, 19, who wasn’t gay. He lured him to his apartment, drugged him and drilled a hole into his skull and poured hydrochloric acid into it. Lindsey woke up complaining of a headache and asked what the time was. Dahmer then killed him. Residents who lived in the same apartment building, complained to the manager about the bad smells coming from his room as well as the sounds.
In 1988, Dahmer met Knoerak Sinthasomphone, 14, who he drugged and assaulted him in his apartment and then drilled a hole into his skull and injected hydrochloric acid into him. He led the boy into his bedroom where he fell unconscious; in the room was a different victim who was lying on the floor. Dahmer continued drinking and went out to buy more alcohol. Dahmer found Konerack the next morning sitting naked on the side of the street and three women were with him. Dahmer told them that Konerack was his friend and attempted to lead him back to his apartment. The women told Dahmer they had called emergency, two police officers approached the group, and Dahmer told them that the victim was his boyfriend who had too much to drink. One of the women didn’t want him to go back with Dahmer as she noticed he was bleeding, but the police told her to shut up. The police took the two men to Dahmer’s apartment, they noticed a strange smell from inside his apartment but then left and Dahmer killed him straight away.
Dahmer was arrested when one of victims escaped and led the police back to Dahmer’s home. In 1991, Dahmer lured Tracy Edwards, 32 to his apartment. Edwards noticed a foul smell in his apartment and boxes of hydrochloric acid on the floor. After small talk, Dahmer asked Tracy to looked at his tropical fish, when he did so, Dahmer handcuffed one of his wrists. Dahmer then asked Tracy to go to the bedroom to pose for photos, in the bedroom there were nude male posters and Dahmer was playing the film The Exorcist III. Tracy also noticed that Dahmer had a large blue drum in the corner of his bedroom with a bad odour coming from it. Dahmer noticed many red flags and planned on escaping, he told Dahmer he needed to use the bathroom and told Dahmer he wanted to sit in the loungeroom where there is air conditioning. The two went back to the living room, and he waited until Dahmer lost his concentration and jumped up and said he needed to use the bathroom; he punched Dahmer in the face, and ran out the front door which was unlocked.
At 11:30 pm that night, Tracy flagged down two officers who were at the end of the street and told the police what had happened to him. Tracy agreed to take the police to Dahmer’s apartment, when they arrived Dahmer invited them in and wouldn’t explain to police why he handcuffed Tracy. One of the police officers noticed that the key to the handcuffs was on Dahmers bedside dresser in the bedroom, Dahmer attempted to prevent the officer from going in there. The police entered the room and noticed a large knife under the bed and his drawer which is opened which contained photos of his victims. Dahmer attempted to fight the police, but they were able to overpower him and cuffed him and called police in for backup. The police then opened the refrigerator and investigated the rest of the apartment where they found parts of his victims.
Dahmer was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. In 1994 he was beaten to death by another prisoner. He was at first placed under solitary confinement, but with Dahmer’s consent, he was placed in a less secure unit. He then turned to Christianity, urged on by his father. Dahmer’s family members remained in contact with him. He was then killed by two prisoners in the bathroom. Dahmer’s possessions were destroyed as well as his apartment in 1992.
