Landoscar (Lando/Oscar) Mafia AU

Lando is the head/ceo to the biggest most dangerous mob. They kill and are ruthless and feared. Lando's personality is cold, kind of insane, madman, but he's kind of a family man yk? They have their little family in the mob (can be any of the grid tbh) Lando's protective of. His caring sweet personality is reserved for them.

Oscar is Lando's (overworked) secretary/personal assistant, (quite possible the best in the world) who Lando has the biggest soft spot for, (aged up characters maybe cuz Oscar's been Lando's assistant for a good few years that they're close, practically know everything about eachother better than the other)

Uptill now it's just been longing glances between them, Lando's too afraid to risk it, Oscar's too important to him and if the enemy finds out... And Oscar believes Lando would never love him like that.

But then, Oscar gets kidnapped by the enemy, who has 2 reasons to do so. 1. Get on Lando's nerves, and 2. For more...personal reasons (he's obsessed with Oscar to the point it's creepy, he's been wanting Oscar to join him for years, Oscar's always declined).

He sends messages and videos to Lando, that he's finally got his hands on Oscar, Lando is PISSED. He unleashes his inner mad man and everything is in hold untill he can get his Oscar back to him, he's never liked the enemy for the creepy way the guy was with Oscar. He does everything and i mean everything to get Oscar back and possibly kill the enemy.

Oscar's a tough cookie, he doesn't waver to the guys attempts to get information out of him, or his creepiness. He's loyal to Lando and he knows Lando, trusts him to save him.

The guy becoming impatient, reduces to physical methords to make Oscar break and talk, and sends the videos of Oscar hurt, scared, and in pain, to Lando to get a rise out of him. Big mistake. Lando is livid. That guy is as good as dead.

Que Lando saving Oscar, with the entire team behind him, and mass murdering the enemy base. Realization of feelings and maybe some smut at the end.

DW: Jealous Lando, violence (idm gore as long as it's not tooo descriptive) angst, top Lando, fluff.

DNW: bottom Lando, m-death.

Call me delusional, call me crazy. But is it just me or did Glisten put his walls back up the second he believed he was being perceived as weak. Or at least he believed Sprout would think he’s a burden by just simply being exhausted.

Glisten cannot afford to let himself be seen as anything less than perfect because if he’s less than perfect then he’s not reliable, and if he’s not reliable then he’s useless, and if he’s useless then he has no purpose and nothing to convince other toons that he’s likable and worth paying attention too.

Admitting to feeling bad, tired, sluggish etc, especially on runs is probably the equivalent of confessing to a crime to him. He feels such a need to meet all these expectations and be perfect… why, why …. Why do you think this way… I need to dig into your brain personally.

the Christmas toons are soooo jealous of regular toons. “I wish I was half of the person that you were” type beat.

I wish I was afforded the complexity, the personhood, the capability that you have. I wish I was half the person you are.

All I am is a one note character. You have the opportunity to be more, while I have to sit by the wayside and just let myself rot in this stale caricature of a person.

All the toons are alive, and that means that they can grow, they can become more than what the show originally casted them as - but the Christmas toons only have a sliver of that chance because they’re only there for barely a month at a time.

"The burden, the obstacle"

I had this sketch saved up for a while and thought why not just post it. And here it is huaha

Doodles based on conversations about Twisted Glisten and Rodger with @tdlizardowo :3. Mainly with the Mini AU thing I doodled the other day where Rodger does solo runs down to the Twisted floors to meet with Glisten.

Based on an idea we had that Glisten literally just. Sits outside the elevator waiting for Rodger to return whenever he leaves. Probably sits with his head turned to the side so he can listen against the wall for the elevator moving in the shaft.

he wouldn't leave this it's his favourite briefcase he wouldn't leave it

if he comes back for this that means he comes back for me right

We also made the headcanon that when Rodger was first going to see Glisten and trying to get his trust back with him, Glisten had such low self esteem and such high anxiety at that point that he thought literally anything was holding more importance in Rodger's eyes than himself. So Rodger would catch onto this and leave items down there with Glisten, the latter of whom would basically hold them hostage until Rodger came back (I also think sometimes Glisten would outright take to nicking stuff off him to hold hostage as well, something he felt was significant enough that Rodger would come back for it had he lost it).

Rodger would slowly get Glisten to realise that, by doing this little habit and being nonchalant about whether an item goes missing or he leaves something on accident, that he really isn't caring about whether he leaves stuff down here or not - notes, a briefcase, research, whatever - it's *him* that he's returning for, because helping Glisten and keeping him company until he can find a way to cure him or get him safely up to the lobby without other Toons being worried or scared of him is the most important thing to him. Glisten is more important to Rodger than some silly items. :)

(Also I choose to believe the briefcase has lore as being a birthday / debut anniversary gift from Toodles to Rodger that she convinced her Toon Handler to help her get for him)

Toon handler moment <3 I don’t think she intentionally tries to be rude, but does think most of her actions or decisions are justified. She can be very stubborn unfortunately
