Least favorite Danny Phantom episodes from seasons 1 and 2?
Season 1:
"Splitting Images": Idk, the whole Poindexter plot and how the message gets handled is pretty weird. I understand Danny not trying to use his powers to not get attention but it doesn't make sense why he can't used them to defend himself a bit. Sad because i do like Sidney Poindexter.
"Teacher of the Year": I wouldn't say i dislike this episode? It's that i find it weird how Danny and Tucker are being rather sexist just because. I think it does makes sense to Tuck a bit but not Danny. The series had this habit of trying to explore gender in a way that was super strange.
"A Million Dollar Ghost": I wouldn't say "my least favourite" but like, this episode has some ass plot holes that don't make sense. Where is Valerie in this episode first of all? Why Vlad as Plasmius revealing to Jack that he has a ghost portal is never brought up again? Why instead of this we couldn't have an episode of Danny bonding with Jack and Vlad trying to interrumpt them? For an episode Vlad faces Jack feels weak.
Season 2:
"Memory Blank": What is this episode even about. How does this fit with the timeline. What is even the purpose of this episode aside from adding Danny a logo i have zero idea.
"Beauty Marked": The way this episode is written is... interesting. I like the idea of Sam being allowed to be herself. However, it isn't bad for girls to like cloths and alike? After all it is something that isn't rare for girls to like at that age. It doesn't make them stupid nor dumb. I think i could write an episode analysis about this one because it is just bizarre.
"Masters of All Time": The fuck is this episode. It is interesting the what if that is trying to make. The problem is that Vlad human! Contradicts the characterization Vlad has as character in general. The point is that Vlad turned evil after the ghost portal accident, he was a regular dude before the accident. Also why Jack's ghost form looks like Plasmius. How does make sense. The way the lesson is delivered is kinda mixed because Danny was just asking for his parents to not embarass him in front of his peers. It isn't much to ask.
"Double Cross My Heart": It's uh... i'm not a fan of Danny stalking Sam nor the "if someone likes Sam, it is because that person is lying" thing. It is like Danny is the only one who can like Sam, based on the impression i get.
"Reality Trip": While it can be entertaining, the whole thing is messy. I have commented about this episode before. I think the most frustrating part is the time reset of Jack and Maddie knowing Danny's ghost identity. It is going back to the status quo for the sake of going back to the status quo. It doesn't leave important consequences like Reign Storm and The Ultimate Enemy do. Another thing that bothers me is that it is one of the few times the GIW are actual enemies and it is mixed with this Freakshow gem plot. It could have been only about the GIW and it would have worked better.
From Season 1, the closest episode i come to dislike is "Splitting Images". Like Season 1 is overall pretty solid?
In contrast Season 2 is more messy. It has some episodes that have weird time resets or i just don't know how to add then in the timeline. Writing decisions that i don't get. Why Kindred Spirits couldn't be a two part special instead of one dedicated to a one-off enemy? Things like that that could have easily been avoided.

FUNNIEST fucking shit that comes with making Danny eleven years old when he had his accident in "late at night, when the nightingale sings" is the implication following, that everything that happened in the show did too. And I fully intend on (mostly) keeping it like that. There'll be some changes (of which I need to figure out) but for the most part??? Yeah relatively the same.
Like I FULLY intend on keeping Dark Danny occurring 6 months post accident. Do you know how fucking HILARIOUS that is??? That Dan got his ass kicked by a goddamn FIFTH-SIXTH GRADER?? I'd never show my face ever again. Homeboy spent the last ten years being a one-man mass extinction event, only to get his ass beat by a kid who hasn't even lost his last baby tooth. That's hysterical. I'm losing my mind just thinking about it.
AND PARIAH DARK TOO. Imagine being an eons old tyrant capable of dragging whole towns down into your dimension, and you get singehandedly shoved back into your coffin in less than 48 hours by a kid whose bedtime is still 8:30. You didn't even have the time to expand your army! You were still trying to take over the city the kid came from!
And he just!!! Shoves you back in!! Insane! This kid hasn't even been dead for a full year yet! He's still growing in his ghost fangs! And he just knocked you flat on your ass in an oversized mech suit. What the fuck! It's like looking down and seeing a four week old kitten meowing very indignantly at you and trying to bite your feet, except that kitten is also actually a black-footed cat and they have a 60% kill success rate, and oops! Now you're dead. You took too long laughing at the kitten trying to attack you that it clawed up your pant leg and ripped out your throat.
COULD I, realistically, span these episodes out over the course of 2.5 years prior to Danny's family dying?? Yes I could! Do I think it's hilarious (and horribly traumatizing, which makes it twice as fun) to shove all of this into the span of (roughly) a year instead?? Yes. Because the show has such a skewed timeline that I've always just assumed that at the end of the show, Danny was starting his sophomore year in high school. So fuck it, lets go for it!

based on that weird dream i had except i made him a more purple/violet color like my ninjago oc anya
BASICALLY the dream is that danny was gonna Fully Die but clockwork intervened and gave him a chance at a new life in a different world, completely over from scratch. he ended up keeping his memories of his past life but because the worlds are so different the only things that were handy were like. science and math he could remember since physics mostly worked the same. he was born to two parents, john and maria mortis (they weren’t named in the dream but i decided to keep their names close to jack and maddie hehe >:3)
he ends up keeping some of his powers still-- invisibility and intangibility, which he has to re-learn from scratch, and also he can see and interact with certain shades and echoes left behind from living people (which are different from ninjago’s version of ghosts, these shades can’t interact with the world and are completely passive, but they are immune to water).
eventually he ends up in S0/S1 of ninjago training with the four core ninja and his weapon was technically a spear or staff thing but i decided that a set of kama were a cooler weapon-- they’re mostly japanese farming sickles but they are used in some katas in different martial arts in southern asia so i thought they were cool. didn’t wanna draw them tho
there’s more information i could write but there’s so much here already that maybe i should Chill out

Favourite episodes of DP Season 1: Bitter Reunions: I like that we meet Vlad Masters for the first time, and seeing how him and Danny find out each other's secrets this early in the show makes it intriguing for future interactions for the both of them.
My Brother's Keeper (overall favourite): I LOVE Danny and Jazz's sibling relationship in this one, how Jazz cares so much for Danny and will honour his secret until he is ready to tell her. I'm hoping we will see more sibling bonds between the two of them in future episodes because I didn't know how much I needed it until I watched this episode. Fanning the Flames: Ember's song will forever remain catchy in my brain until this day 🥹 Despite Danny getting a love-struck spell for Sam during the episode, I liked seeing the bits of how they feel for each other before that (even though they were super terrible at hiding it haha). I don't mind seeing more hints of that for the two of them in future episodes, I can easily seeing them being good for each other relationship-wise as much as they are being best friends 😊 Teacher of the Year: I really liked Danny and his teacher Mr. Lancer's interaction in this one. Mr. Lancer, while strict and harsh a lot of the time, genuinely cares about helping Danny improve his grade even when Danny has been slipping up lately. When Danny puts in the effort and tries his best he does really well on his exam, and him and Lancer have a good conversation as well prior to that. On a side note, Danny looks really cool in his video game outfit design.
Public Enemies: This was the episode where Danny gets seen as the public enemy for the first time, being tricked and lied to by Walker which in turn damages Danny's reputation. It's a terrible situation that happens to Danny, but it starts an interesting turn of where the series might be headed for future episodes. Maternal Instinct: I loved seeing the bond between Danny and Maddie in this one, I wished we got to see more of it 🥹 Maddie was also just an overall amazing character in this episode and completely badass ghost fighter as well. I also loved the bond between Jazz and Jack just as much. It was funny seeing Vlad thinking Maddie and Danny were 'wanting' to stay with him but we love him for it 🥲 Life Lessons: It was interesting seeing how Danny and Valerie had to work together on a flour-sack babysitting project, where responsibility was key when both of them don't get along well (and are also enemies on the ghost-fighting side). Seeing how they can work together when push comes to shove and how they were able to understand each other a little more was nice to see, and would love to see how their dynamic could change as the series goes on. Sam and Tucker also had a really fun parental dynamic in the episode. The Million Dollar Ghost: I liked seeing a Danny (Phantom) and Jack Fenton focused episode, with Danny trying to cheer up his dad when Jack is feeling blue about not being able to catch ghosts. Jack's ability shines more clearly though when his family is in danger and he shows he's more than capable to take down ghosts when he needs to. Danny telling his dad how proud he was at the end was really sweet as well. Control Freaks: An interesting episode that didn't involve a lot of Danny saving the day, but instead having his friends Sam and Tucker being the ones helping him break out of the hypnosis he was in while being controlled by the ringmaster Freakshow. The episode having more of a Sam focus to it as well was a nice change and something I would love to see more of in future episodes. This was an overall great finale to finish off this season.

the image of various scenes with TR crossdressing with the caption “team rocket, destroying gender roles since 1997” has done so much damage to pokemon community and even more damage to the people who haven’t watched anipoke in years and hail them the best queer rep ever from vague memories from their childhood alone
FOR REAL TBH like truly just ignoring that all of those scenes are intended to mock them.
ik its not a big deal its just a pole that i wasnt even following, but something that annoyed me specifically with the one poll was when jessie was against lillie and everyone was like "OMG VOTE JESSIE BC ITS PRIDE MONTH SO YOU HAVE TO OR YOU HATE THE GAYS!!!!!" when like... im sorry lillie has more genuine lgbt hinting than jessie does sldjfslkdfjslkd.
like sure its not the biggest thing ever but one of these characters was pouring their heart out to a girl in the rain about how important she is to her and how much she depends on her while a rainbow comes out, has an arc about breaking out of the strict roles her mother forced her into, and literally gets an RGU reference in the anime and a deeply devoted "best friend", and its not jessie. sure none of that is exactly explicit groundbreaking stuff and i personally wouldnt say youre meant to see lillie as bi, but its more than what jessie's got

The comp rework is going to be so helpful. One of my friends has a weird glitch. He hasn’t played tank even for a minute this season and yet it still gave him plat 1 for some reason?

When Jim Gordon asked Batman to hide a witness for a few weeks, B and Dick had thought Amity Park would be a great location. It was distant from Gotham, with a population just large enough for one or two new residents to go unnoticed, yet an almost nonexistent internet presence. The town's ghostly tourist gimmick had seemed harmless.
The Batcomputer hadn't pinged any local villains or even organized crime. And Constantine's 'helpfully' labelled "Magic Bullshit - Do Not Touch" map indicated very few occult hazards in Illinois. If there had been any evidence that the ghost thing had been based on truth, the two of them would have found it in the investigation phase.
Dick stood on the balcony of the safehouse, with the witness secure in the panic room (and maybe it should have raised red flags that the house had already had one). He stared grimly down at the street, mentally noting down for his report the things that should not have been there.
First, there was a delivery truck (crashed into a street lamp): not ideal, likely to attract attention and bring repair crews to the street.
Second, there was a teen in a black jumpsuit (flying, glowing, and shooting lasers from his hands): a bad sign, but if Dick was very optimistic he could explain it away. Maybe the kid had just received a Green Lantern ring and was having a hard time with control. That would be inconvenient, but one call and the Justice League could probably send Green Lantern out to discreetly orient him.
Third, there was a man with blue skin (flying, glowing, and telekinetically robbing the crashed delivery truck): this was pretty hard to write off as anything except a failure in their research. The guy looked like a blue-collar laborer from the 30s and talked like a supervillain from decades ago, back when most fights started with yelling your name and gimmick multiple times as loudly as possible to make sure the news reporters got it down right.
Forcing his grip on the railing to loosen, Dick turned and walked back into the house. If they'd missed something this big (ghosts? come on, ghosts?), Batman would want to hear about it immediately. And no matter what B said about opsec, there were a couple friends he'd be calling as backup.
He'd been planning to do his civilian schoolwork remotely, but if he enrolled himself and a couple friends in the local high school for a little while - under fake names, of course - they could do a proper investigation.
Hey, his mentor was the world's greatest detective, after all. He couldn't let this town's secrets ruin Batman and Robin's reputation for knowing everything.
I’ve been sucked into the DPxDC crossover fandom despite not keeping up with DC comics or shows in YEARS really, but I’m so into it lmao. One of the things I love is that depending on how everyone is aged, Danny is shipped with just about anyone 😂
But it’s always with Danny going to Gotham and dealing with the DC world. What if…
What if DC Character(s) of Choosing were the ones who moved to Amity Park for whatever reason? Maybe Wayne Enterprises is opening a location there, maybe taking over Axion Labs/Vladco or something, or maybe just simply one or more of the kids are doing a student exchange program thing. Whatever.
But what if it was the DC character having to deal with the strangeness of the DP universe instead of the typical other way around?
I just think that throwing Batfam into Phantom’s world could lead to interesting new stories.

Passives for everyone!
Tumblr media
By the end of the year, Overwatch Tank is going to have no less than 6 passive effects to counter their counters, while trying not to be ungodly figures of myth that need a whole team comp to challenge them.
And because it's all background effects that the player isn't directly interacting with, none of them will feel good/different/noticeable beyond moving player frustration to different quadrants of play.
"Hog's not dying!"
"Just go Ana, Bro."
"Ok but his healing's not the problem-"
"Skill issue-"
"25-50% dmg reduction depending on where/when/how the damage is applied, but also they have a kiri, and I'm not playing support to switch-"
"Git gud."
"Why...do I play this role again?"
