the waiting for godot thing is really getting me like thaaaats the weird horror i’ve been feeling from this season, especially after meeting young daniel. we can clearly see how daniel has grown and changed throughout his life. there is a massive difference between young and old daniel because he has aged because he has lost because he is human. and one thing we know about daniel is that he is a skilled writer! he can make art! the vampires do not age they do not die they do not change and they cannot make good art! louis wants so badly to be an artist and at best he is a curator. a capitalist. an investor. armand is a shitty theatre director. plays require events and in an everlasting life there can be no significant events* louis and armand live like they always have because their immortality does not require them to adapt or change in any real way. it’s just this slog through forever time in which no real reckoning is required of you or demanded from you and godot never arrives. oh and that’s not even getting into the whole sitting in the same place and waiting for your maker deal. which is what louis is has been doing for so long. oh god it’s waiting for lestat……
