Prompt! Desmond mistakenly time travels to Ratonhnhaké:ton's time, and Juno, who realizes what he did, tries to turn Ratonhnhaké:ton against him. I believe I heard somewhere that Juno told Ratonhnhaké:ton to hide the key to the Temple? Well what if she told him of Desmond, maybe showed him a 'projection' of Desmond killing Lucy, and says Desmond will try to befriend him only to turn on him to get the apple of that time? (Ignorant of AC3 so I don't know the timeline of events.)
Juno only talks to Ratonhnhaké:ton twice though since Juno can only talk to Ratonhnhaké:ton using the crystal ball thingie that the clan mother had. One is when he was a teenager and told to leave the village to seek out the Assassins. The next time they talked is when the villagers had left without telling Ratonhnhaké:ton and Ratonhnhaké:ton called Juno out for her lies.
And since you want Juno to talk to Ratonhnhaké:ton about Desmond during the time she tells him to hide the key, we’ll set it at their second talk, during the ending parts of AC3.
So, in this setup, this would be a Ratonhnhaké:ton that’s still reeling from having to kill Haytham, bury Achilles, and find out his village had gone and left him alone even though everything he had done had been to protect them.
Also, by setting this up during that time, we can push the timeline of George Washington showing Ratonhnhaké:ton the Apple and make it so that Juno would show him a vision of the Apple in Washington’s hands, telling him, “He plans to take the Apple from this man…” (which is true, Desmond knows an Apple would be a big help right now) “… to use for his own selfish desires…” (which is also sorta true if you consider trying to change the past a selfish desire since Desmond isn’t thinking of what kind of butterfly effect it would have in the end) “… and none shall be able to defeat him…” (and here Juno will show him Desmond willingly using the Apple to kill Vidic who, as far as Ratonhnhaké:ton knows, is an unarmed old man telling Desmond to stop then flash forward it to Desmond using the Apple to order all Abstergo goons to take their own lives). Without knowing that Abstergo are Templars in disguise (and that Desmond was saving his father and trying not to die or get captured), Juno is able to paint Desmond as a ‘bad man’ that Ratonhnhaké:ton must be wary of.
Hell, Juno goes “You must kill him.” because Desmond only needs to live in the 21st century, this Desmond is an obstacle and a wildcard that Juno can't even use.
“If you do… I will show you where your village has gone.”
And Ratonhnhaké:ton knows he’s being used but, still…
Desmond looked dangerous and if the Apple in Washington’s hands is truly powerful then no one should hold it.
In this situation, both Ratonhnhaké:ton and Desmond go to Washington first just as Washington received the Apple from an unknown person.
Washington is surprised by their appearance (Ratonhnhaké:ton because they didn’t necessarily end in good terms and Desmond because he’s a complete stranger who just barged in without anyone notifying Washington at all) so… the Apple sorta activated while the three of them are in the vicinity.
And thus we have a story idea of Desmond accidentally getting transported into Tyranny of King Washington DLC.
Unorganized Notes:
To make things interesting, Desmond didn’t relive Ratonhnhaké:ton’s memories of the DLC. He went to Washington because he felt the Apple and thought “yeah, Washington shouldn’t have an Apple. Also… I need an Apple and this is closer than the vault in Rome.”
So when he gets transported into the DLC ‘timeline’, Desmond’s just “yeah, definitely the Apple’s illusion powers. But… why is everything so… real? Oh shit. Did I get transported in a different timeline???”
Ratonhnhaké:ton’s part of the story remains the same but Desmond intervenes enough times that his mother doesn’t die. She does, however, go into a coma so we have an excuse for Ratonhnhaké:ton to feel pressured to drink from the Red Willow tree.
Ratonhnhaké:ton sees Desmond has a hidden blade and they fight a few times (with Desmond trying to insist that he doesn’t want to fight Ratonhnhaké:ton and staying more on the defensive). He also notices that Desmond’s fighting style is too close to his own but there are moments where he feels like he is fighting a different person.
Desmond sees Ratonhnhaké:ton summon ghost wolves and he’s like “Okay, we’re doing this now? Fine.” with a tone of a tired man who had seen so much shit in a short amount of time that he’s just rolling with the punches.
Desmond and Ratonhnhaké:ton team up to defeat King Washington and Ratonhnhaké:ton does start to think there is more to it than Desmond being an evil man. Also he was already sus of Juno anyway,
So when they return to the real world, Washington gives the Apple to Ratonhnhaké:ton and Desmond doesn’t do anything. He just… leaves.
Later on, Desmond is surprised when Ratonhnhaké:ton appears before him.
While he’s about to board a ship set for France (it was the ship that would dock closest to Italy).
And Ratonhnhaké:ton admits that he still has the Apple and…
He’d like it if Desmond stayed for a while.
Desmond stares at him before smiling as he says, “I’d like that.”
(You know, for someone who hated the final boss of this DLC, I mention this DLC a lot…)

Story Idea: Assassin’s Creed - Haytham Kenway
The Tyranny of King Washington DLC, but in the perspective of Haytham.
It’s never explicitly stated if he was a Templar on an Assassin in this alternate universe/timeline, so this can go two different ways.
If he stayed a Templar:
He probably wouldn’t have trusted an non-Templar at the head of a budding nation,
And the Templars most likely coveted the Piece of Eden for themselves.
So he must have opposed Washington or attempted to get the POE like Kaniehtí:io and ended up dying in the process.
Branching from the above, an exploration of how Haytham’s presence would affect the plot if he survived could be made.
If he were an Assassin:
If things changed at the very beginning, there could be an exploration of how he would have acted or affected everything if he was an Assassin from the beginning,
Or, if he defected from the Templars instead, there could be scenes of Haytham acclimating to the Assassins.
If Achilles made an appearance, he would probably go back and forth with him for days at a time, the former constantly questioning and challenging Haytham’s ideals and beliefs. Actions too.
If the timeline is tweaked where he survives, exploring a Haytham that was never the man Kaniehtí:io never hated and Connor interacting would be so interesting
Figuring out Haytham’s role and actions in a universe like this would be super interesting, especially considering how many complicated feelings this would drag up in both Haytham and Connor—as a father that (presumably) cares deeply for his son and as a son from another universe who resented and regretted plenty with his actual father.

I consider The Hidden World canonical in the sense the Tyranny of King Washington (DLC from Assassin's Creed III) is canon: The Tyranny of King Washington is George Washington's nightmare, just like the Hidden World is Hiccup's nightmare.

some unreasonable gripes i have about assassin's creed iii after being 250 hrs in on a hunt for the ps platinum trophy: a list brought to you by aurora
• not enough fast travel points in the frontier. and that might be bearable, if only the horse mechanic didn't constantly feel like i'm riding around on a lego block
• i should be able to remove my notoriety in the frontier. the perma 1 star wanted level is fucking annoying when i'm trying to clean up post-main game side quests
• the glitch where sometimes when you catch a almanac page it won't register on your codex as collected and will show up on your map to go get it again :))))
• the 'encyclopedia of the common man' quest. having to go around and scan all the villagers doing multiple activities but sometimes some of them won't do that last activity you need. like ellen bestie pls stop doing the same two tasks every day and go do the laundry so i can scan you I AM BEGGING.
• the commitment to historical inaccuracy but in very odd and specific ways like don't piss me off LAFAYETTE DID NOT DRESS AS A WOMAN TO COME TO AMERICA THAT WAS DEBUNKED WHY IS HE HAVING A FULL CONVO WITH CONNOR ABOUT IT @ VALLEY FORGE
• ^ but also on the flip side of the accuracy gripe, why can't i lay the smack down on george washington???? if i can shoot charles lee for funsies in sequence 2 without consequence as haytham (in the benjamin church mission, try it, it's v cathartic and amusing) then i should be able to shoot georgie. just one bullet. pls.
• everything about the tyranny of king washington dlc. no really. everything about it. of all the alternate universes you could've made a dlc about why couldn't it have been 'if haytham had been an assassin not a templar'. trust me we don't need a dlc around the idea of georgie being a tyrannical leader. he owned hundreds of slaves and bought their teeth for his own benefits. that's enough proof of his actual tyranny for me thanks !!!
• the fact that ubisoft packaged the dlc with the main game in the remaster so to get the playstation platinum trophy you have to 100% the dlc as well as the main story

Wanna celebrate 4th of July by playing Assassins Creed 3 DLC "the Tyranny of King Washington" where the final encounter is assassinating George Washington using native American super powers?
It's actually really dope. It's an alternate history scenario and has dumb alien mind control stuff. But it's a scenario that directly confronts Washingtons various war crimes in a way the main game story does not, where the main character just kinda goes " >=\ " when it's revealed to him that Washington burned his tribe down during the 1750s.
No lie, I legit forgot today was the 4th of July. When I finally realized, I was like

Are you talking about Ratonhnhaké:ton? That's literally all I know about Assassin's Creed 3, that it has a Mohawk character in it lol. But that does sound interesting.

Yeah, our word for George Washington is actually "the town destroyer" because our yękhisutkę́·ʔhaʔnęhk (ancestors) saw old Georgie going around burning villages to the ground. In fact, our word for "President" roughly translates to "he devastates nations." 'murica.
Oh, that also reminds me - recently watched Prey. Really good movie. We watched it in Comanche with English subtitles.

I just finished the Tyranny of King Washington DLC for AC3!!!!
Thoughts under the cut :3
Interesting premise, I was intrigued by Connor seeming confused at the beginning, and the remnants throughout of him being aware of the regular timeline.
I really enjoyed seeing more Kaniehtí:io, would have liked even more :( she’s such an interesting character. Honestly I’d be excited to see friendly faces again only for them to quickly die😔 it was fun seeing some of the homestead people there! And having them help out! So cool!
Connor/Ratonhnhaké:ton’s new fit was very cool, I liked it a lot and also made more sense because in this version why would he ever get the assassin robes??? But also why tf was he out here bare chested in the mf winter????
I did enjoy the powers (the flying one was the most fun) howeveerrrrrr the backstory behind them was 😬😬😬 idk I feel like being like ooooooHoooOoh tea from the treeeee and the “spirit animal” thing was. Very stereotypical and racist
Btw why did they do that to his poor eyes. Horrifying, change it back !!!! Bro was standing there all the time like
🔵👄🔵
Also like what frustrated me so much, and it makes sense for the story but always having high notoriety was annoyingggg and I got very tired of it. Using the powers made it less assassiny but I guess this is an au storyline so, whatever, like they were a fun gimmick but also just very different than what I’m used to. (Also the guard dogs. wtf)
I feel like the plot had a nice progression and again like I said the story was interesting. Seeing Thomas Jefferson was wild ngl. I didn’t super enjoy all the running around the pyramid before finding Washington but oh well- I think there was also an interesting concept there of like “how far are you willing to go to stop evil/what will you let yourself become, will you too become a monster, or like when does it stop being about helping people and when does it become just taking the big bad down. I do think the powers chipping away at Ratonhnhaké:ton and also like his desire a bit for the apple at the end was interesting….but not fully developed. I feel like that character arc/plot thread was never really fully developed or finished. I feel that Washington had more a complete “arc” in this story.
Anyways I want more character study on Ratonhnhaké:ton because I love him and there are so many interesting things about his character and so much more you can do.
Also the ending reveal of what was happing was cool and I enjoyed that as the explanation! Why the apple does not do this for everyone…I do not know. Or maybe it does and they still give in? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyways! Fun dlc yay
EDIT: not fun dlc yay, apparently they got rid of a lot of the original cast and replaced them with white actors without letting the original cast know, wtf, and didn’t have cultural consultants !!!! Hmmmm dumb tea tree making a lot more sense now! Also makes me question the authenticity of Connor’s fit and his markings. wtf Ubisoft ???
Also you take down the pope that has the apple in the staff in AC2 with no powers, why does Connor suddenly need powers???

'Ultimately, my mind simply breaks at any time I remember TOKW!Connor's deep, glowing blue eyes on The Redemption... Imagining them looking deeply in my soul as he marks me as his while he bends me over... I... I... I don't get enough English words to describe how those eyes gets me going...'

You guys ever just imagine different medias of Amrev as their own universe so it just a multiverse that every one of them is their own truth
In short terms am bored and I like to see different medias of Amrev people meeting each other like some sort of multiverse meeting
probably easy to feel that way about a period of time that has a lot of portrayals in different medias and even more fanfic and published fiction! then they all cross over and what *i* love about history is it's like an endless catalogue of different people and stories, some we know more about than others so you can make kind of a "character" out of people. yk?? i love it. i love historical "what if"s all the time. one of my fave hypotheticals is "what if washington became a king?" (the tyranny of king washington DLC for AC3 is great).

I've been suffering for the past two weeks or so and I have many thoughts so here's
A filthy casual's review of Assassin's creed 3 remastered
Tumblr media
Alright let's start positives;
I loved Connor and all the npcs. The characterization was consistent (for the most part), the drip was dripping and the voice acting was honestly good. Yeah it had some off moments here and there but nothing that annoyed me
The UI and Desmond story parts were very good too
Norris and Myriam are my babies and I'll die for them
As for the negatives,
Oh my GOD HOW DID YOU MAKE THE COMBAT SO MUCH WORSE!? The combos and special moves were great and all but oh my god everything else was such a headache
The enemy ai was so ass and rarely made sense. I kept accidentally getting them stuck walking in a circle somehow, multiple times
The moment they spotted me they'd come towards me and if I somehow manage to get away, they just. Stay there. They never leave. They just stay there and wait for me to come out and immediately spot me again. Initiating open combat and spontaneously summoning every guard within the minimap radios
Hiding was just useless cuz it doesn't make them lose interest or anything, it just pauses the inevitable of them spotting me cuz they never leave
The optional objectives were so frustrating cuz they were easy but the ai made them near impossible
It took 3 sequences to actually reach Connor and then two more sequences to actually reach assassin Connor which wasn't that fun to me ngl it wasn't that bad but I just didn't enjoy it all that much
The parkour was... Mid. I'm sorry I really didn't enjoy it
It's not purely awful (at least when it's not combined with the shitty enemy ai) but it's also no where near AC2 or even Revelations
I didn't even bother use different weapons, everything was so awful I didn't have the will to try different things. Maybe that made it worse, maybe not, idk but I just didn't feel the need to try it with that ai
The jump from Myriam running from the wedding to her fully committed to it again was so jarring and pissed me off cuz she deserved so much better
Idk why people love Haytham. I'd love to know but from what I saw? He's a decent character but he's absolutely not lovable
The Arnold dlc spoils the game cuz it's unlocked whole ass sequences too early :/ It was also a very short and very mid dlc
The Tyranny Of King Washington dlc was neat byt it suffered from the same ai issues and for some reason, evey time I got into open combat Connor would get glued to the floor until he's hit or I counter someone
It was so frustrating when I just wanted to leave the damn area or follow someone instead of fighting the immediate gang
On many occasions, in the dlc and main game, I didn't know wtf to do
I was so lost and needed guides cuz I just didn't know what to do 😭
The boat missions were good but quickly got boring. They're still nice tho
Overall, there's a good story and a good game under so many layers of shitty execution and awful ai
4/10 for me. I wish I could've loved it more
