So seeing as he looks identical the bat's do some investigating only to find it all checks out only slightly wierd part he's living with his sister but that could be for any number of reasons

I work as a Janitor/custodian and there's a room in my section of the building that has glue traps. (If you don't know, animals usually die in a glue trap either by suffocation or starvation. If their mouth doesn't get stuck to the glue first, they can escape by amputating themselves.) I thought "that sounds bad but there's no way I'll go in there enought to actually see a mouse in the trap" and "If I see a mouse I'll catch it in my dust pan and set it free ouside".

Well, today I saw a mouse. It was screaming and struggling to get free. Its mouth was stuck against the trap along with its tail, and its feet were stuck to each other. I couldn't stand to see it in a panic.

So, I do what any sappy idiot like me would, and I carefully pull the mouse out of the trap (a mouse's tail is part if its spine so you have to be gentle not to pull its tail), and washed it off with the cheap bathroom soap. It struggled against me at first because I'm big and scarry, but once it was under warm water, it settled to a stable, exhausted nervousness.

But now the mouse is wet and it's really cold outside. So I wrapped it in a paper towel burrito and brought it to my janitorial closet. A while after I put the mouse on the shelf, it started to struggle against the paper towel. Which is weird, because it wasn't wrapped in a burrito anymore and was free to move. I then realized the soap and water didn't work! Its feet were no longer stuck together, and its rising and falling stomach signaled it could breathe, but its tail and paws had readhered to the brown capatalism paper.

Turns out, you can dissolve some adhesives with cooking oil. Thankfully, my area of the building had a culinary department and the culinary director was still there (I work the night shift so he's not always present). He said I could borrow some cooking pil from him, and he took me to a big pantry with a bunch of it. And gave me a lil plastic cup with just enough.

The glue immediately dissolved on contact and the mouse calmed down even more that I exspected it to ever see it around me. Now that it was free from its origina blight, I dried it off and picked it up to bring it outside. It curiously sniffed my hand and it was so soft and gentle. I put it on some grass, where it will hopefully find a warm place to rest and find peace.
