Hiccup had finished saddle making in the forge for the day. He had hung up his apron, and was wiping his hands clean with some cloth, grateful he could go for a nice, relaxing flight with Toothless as he made his way back outside.

"Hey, bud, ready to go?" Toothless happily bounded over, making that low, rumbling noise that Hiccup knew meant he was just as ready to get away as he was.

Together, they flew for an hour or so, just enjoying each other's company and the fresh air.

They landed back down in the cove where they first became friends, hoping to lay low until dinner time.

No one ever went there, mostly because most Berkians didn't stray to this side of the island.

Which was why Hiccup was so startled to see a stranger there as he dismounted. "Oh! Hey there." He motioned for Toothless to stand down, but to be ready in case the newcomer was a threat. He tilted his head, sure he'd never seen this person before. "Who are you?"
