The path of the Hunt seems a bit self-contradictive.

Yes, most of the Hunt characters are proactive, energetic, enthusiastic, and singleminded, but 'hunt' in the traditional sense implies murder. Whereas most of it's characters seem to be motivated by the sanctity of human life, to a certain extent, or the idea of protection at all costs. It's usually not obvious at first glance but becomes clear when you get to know them a bit better.

Seele, who seems unfriendly and gruff at first, whose singular concern is the safety of the Underworld

Yanqing, an arrogant and overconfident child who, without hesitation, challenges two ancient legendary warriors to protect the people of the Luofu.

Sushang, who is called 'naive' in her Character details, is already a Cloud Knight at 15, who spends her days helping others and protecting the people of the Luofu.

Dr. Ratio, whose underlying philosophy of "all lives are worth living" is hidden under his stern exterior.

Topaz, whose methods are absolutely messed up and horrible, but her sincere goal is to give the people of Jarilo-VI the best chances to survive, whether they want it or not.

Boothill, who pulls a gun at everybody he meets, seems genuinely offended when Aventurine accuses him of killing his bodyguards.

I feel like the biggest mistake this drama is making is in the construction of the three protagonist friendship. DH and AJ do not feel like best friends, but instead Friends that used to be close during highschool but now just hangout sometimes to talk about the old time. That is why it is so easier that we would for AJ to ignore the marriage contract, yeah she does feel conflicted over that but it is not "I am betraying my best friend level of conflict". DH and JH also do not feel much like siblings? Yes, one point of the story is that their relationship has suffer a great impact over their parents death, but still we need to see some good moments of them together to feel "ah deep down they do care about each other" and we don't get much of that. The main couple relationship actually is fine and they spend some good time building it. Maybe in the end they are scared of giving DoHan more screen time? His scenes seem mostly alone doing his own thing, but we all care about him because we can understand the difficult situation he is going through. However, he does not seem to have anyone to rely on and the relationship he has seem shallow. It seems they are scary of showing him having fun and don't much what to do if his personality besides the gay closest guy (we can see it of course, but because we are looking at him). I feel this generally just make us, people that start the story also for him, feel like he is being injusticed. I mean JH has his company friends and AJ has her trio. When do we see DH being happy? What freedom is he fighting for?

thinking about just how sudden and cruel Jessamine's assassination was. Corvo and Emily suddenly ripped out of their regular lives.

Corvo has only just returned after months of being separated from his family. he only stepped off the ship, barely made it to the Tower, didn't even walk through the front door before he watched Jessamine be murdered. his luggage was probably still on the ship, all his dirty clothes, warm coats for Tyvia and light silks for Sekonos, his journal and maybe a spare weapon, the nice coat for when he is meeting up with the rulers of the different isles. the little gifts he most likely collected through his travels across the Empire, for Jessamine and for Emily and maybe some members of the Tower staff that he is fond of. did he bring back candy he loved as a child so that Emily could finally try them? where did his personal correspondence go?

what about Emily? she was taken and kept locked up in the Golden Cat, and we hear her mention her doll, but what other things were left behind? her favourite cup, the plants at her windowsill? her collection of drawings, and the notebooks she kept for her lessons, paints and music instruments that she was learning to play as every proper lady should? where are her favourite fairytale books now? her wardrobe, her favourite shoes, the little hair ornaments Jessamine would tuck into her hair for all the parties and balls?

and what of Jessamine? with no family to set away memorabilia, sort through her things, her diaries and notes and letters that were waiting for an answer? the private ones, that she kept hidden away so no one could read them but her? did she have a favourite tea blend that now sits abandoned in the Tower kitchens?

we do not see their rooms, once we return to the Tower to take out Burrows. it is almost like the royal family never existed, and I must wonder: what happened with what remained behind of their lives, after Jessamine died?

What if Daud decided to follow Emily when she left the Tower after the coup back to Meagan's ship and then you just have.

Emily who doesn't know why this random ship captain came to help her, beside being friends with her old teacher Anton, and suddenly her mother's killer is tagging along

Daud, who clearly knows its Billie, but now he have to pretend he doesn't know her, and emily is already unimpressed with what's going on

And Billie who suddenly face to face with her old mentor/father figure who she betrayed, who desperately wanna talk to daud but now can't because she'd blow her cover

Anyway the two weeks to Karcana was the worst weeks of anyone's lives. Doesn't help Emily home alone the ship, creating death traps for Daud except Billie is the always the one triggering it so every time Billie thinks Emily knows but Emily is just. "Oop my bad. That was for daud :/"
