Rome Airport in Italy successfully cooperates with Nanjing AE
Background:
To encourage the purchase of electric vehicles and EV charging stations, the Italian government approved a new incentive measure, which has officially come into effect in 2023. The incentive measure is part of dedicated funding for the automotive industry, with about $8.7 billion expected to be spent in the year 2023-2024 to provide subsidies for the purchase of  vehicles of low-pollution and low-emission and charging infrastructure. The introduction of this incentive measure will inject new vitality into Italian electric vehicle market.
Tumblr media
Policy subsidies:
What incentives are there for buying an electric car in Italy?
The most important new content of the electric vehicle incentives announced officially in 2023 include subsidies for the purchase of charging stations and a list of beneficiaries. For example, the long-term rental companies offer double subsidies for those whose income is below 30,000 euros .The total fiscal coverage of electric vehicle incentives in 2023 is $150 million. This move will further expand the user groups of electric vehicles and allow more people to enjoy the convenience and benefits of environmentally friendly travel.
Additionally, further donations are expected to be used to purchase and install electric vehicle charging stations. 40 million euros will be used to subsidize the installation of EV chargers. The policy aims to reduce net emissions to zero by the year 2050 and replace diesel vehicles by 2035 or earlier.
Current status of charging infrastructure:
By the end of 2022 , Italy had 36,772 EV chargers installed at 19,334 charging stations (stations or poles) and 14,048 public locations. Equally important, the output power of charging point is also growing. The number of ultra-fast charging points has been tripled, with the output power ranging from 100kW to 350kW. This improvement measures will greatly improve charging efficiency and meet the growing charging demand.
The number of charging stations close to city centers and major cities is growing rapidly . There are more than 600 charging stations every 10 kilometers, aiming to solve the charging problem in the popularization of electric vehicles and provide users with more convenient charging services. Motorway charging points increase rapidly compared to the previous year. In one year, the number of charging stations has been quadrupled , with 64% of them having the power of 150kW or more, providing drivers with shorter charging times for long-distance journeys.
Case:
AE system (AEAUTO) signed a batch order of #120kW DC fast charging stations with Italian bus operators in the first half of this year. The EV chargers will be used for the airport internal bus fleet, buses, and luggage transport vehicles, to improve the overall operational efficiency of the airport and make it convenient for passengers. Meanwhile, this will reduce carbon emissions and provides employees with environmentally friendly and efficient charging service.
There are a lot of fleets in Rome airport in Italy. Including land transportation services and passenger and baggage transport vehicles within the airport area, which require dedicated base locations for maintenance and charging. These vehicles play a vital role in airport operations, providing indispensable support for maintaining flight operations and comfortable passenger travel. Therefore, providing efficient charging solutions for these electric ground service vehicles and employee electric vehicles is crucial for airports.
Selection process:
Airport management began looking for the right charging station product to meet their needs. After visiting Nanjing AE(AEAUTO) #charging station samples at an international trade show , they contacted the local dealer and decided to cooperate with AE system . AEAUTO has a high reputation in the field of charging infrastructure and is committed to #providing the best charging solutions to electric vehicle customers. The products not only provide the perfect combination of functionality, efficiency and convenience, but also meet economic efficiency requirements.
Solution:
Nanjing AE (AEAUTO)#electric vehicle charging stations are equipped with #V2G technology, which not only provides fast charging but also enables two-way flow of energy. It can be realized that the electric energy from the line network can be charged into the power battery of the electric vehicle during the low power load period, and the electric energy in the electric vehicle power battery can be fed back to the line network during the peak electric load period. It can help the line network achieve peak-cutting and valley-filling and frequency modulation functions. It is also equipped with multiple charging method options such as #APP/OCPP/RFID; multiple standard insertion guns can be customized, including #CCS/CHAdeMO/GBT; it also has high-efficiency charging capabilities, with a #charging efficiency of up to 97%. It only takes 20 minutes to fully charge. AE system (AEAUTO)#dc charging stations are carefully designed to be durable, reliable and comply with all relevant safety and technical standards. The dealer and installation teams strategically placed these #charging stations in the airport’s on-site parking lots to ensure that the charging needs of ground service electric vehicles and employee electric vehicles are met without affecting daily operations of the airport.
Result:
The AE system(AEAUTO)#dc fast charger was put into use at the Italian airport, it #successfully solved the problem of bus operators charging their bus fleets. In follow-up feedback, the airport management expressed appreciation for Nanjing AE(AEAUTO) #fleet charging solution and believed that the solution complies with international charging standards and regulatory requirements. Always room for seconds (dp x dc)
"There they go again," says Aunt Alicia as she looks at the hazmat-clad backs of her sister and her husband jumping into their mish-mash-of-a-van. "And on Thanksgiving too," she finishes to herself as she turns toward her niece and nephew. Neither of them look surprised, though Jazz is clearly more affected if the tick in her jaw is any indication.
"They promised," she practically spits but Danny just sighs and puts a hand on her shoulder. It seems to draw the fight out of Jazz a bit and she sags onto herself.
Alicia loves her sister but she can be so irresponsible sometimes.
"Come on kids, let's go back inside. It's about time to put the turk-" she stops short, then groans. Maddie had insisted on bringing the turkey on account of not wanting Alicia to go to all the trouble, and Alicia had agreed on the condition that her sister wouldn't try to make it. "...And the turkey is still in the van isn't it?"
Danny makes a face. "It's probably for the best. I'm pretty sure I saw it move on the way here."
Alicia doesn't let her head fall into her hands, but only just. Instead, she takes a deep breath to calm herself down to rally her thoughts. "Alright. It'll be too late by the time we drive to town and buy a new raw one, so we can just get some already made from the store. That good for you guys?"
Jazz and Danny make sounds of assent before all three of them pile up in the car. Town isn't too far away, and the trip is mostly silent. Alicia is hesitating over what to say to cheer up her niece and nephew. In the end, they pull up to the grocery store before she manages to come up with anything.
"Dad was also supposed to bring desert," Jazz mentions as she grabs a caddie and wheels it back to them.
"I made apple pie just in case," Alicia answers. Despite her dislike for him, she can admit that Jack Fenton is a generous man. However, as she has learned over the years, that generosity doesn't extend to fudge. Which is why she's got her famous apple pie ready to pop into the oven.
Danny nods relieved, as he files in behind his sister. The three of them are rolling past the frozen section when a familiar voice cuts through the store music.
"Alicia?"
At that, Alicia looks up to see the face of one and only Martha Kent. Her lips stretch into a smile unconsciously at the sight.
"Martha, hi," she answers as the other woman starts walking closer. "How are you?"
"I'm good," the other woman says as she stops in front of them. "Just doing some last-minute shopping." Then Martha looks to Danny and Jazz and gives them a smile. "And who might these two be?"
"This is Jazz and Danny," Alicia introduces them, "my niece and nephew. They're spending Thanksgiving up at the cabin with me."
"Oh, that's wonderful!" Martha says sincerely. "You left your sister and her husband in charge of the turkey, then?" She winks.
Alicia winces. "Ah, not exactly."
"They had a work emergency," Jazz says, unhappy.
Martha lets out a sympathetic oh.
"That's why we're here," Alicia explains. "They left with the turkey without realizing, so we'll have to settle for store-bought this year."
Martha makes a noise of sympathy before her face shifts into something more pensive. "You know," she starts. "I've got a big turkey at home and there's only going to be my son and me to eat it. If you guys would like, we'd love to have you over to help us with it."
"Oh we couldn't possibly-" Alicia starts to protest but Martha takes a step forward and takes her hands.
"You'd be doing us a favour," Martha says, her hands still into Alicia's as she looks up earnestly at the redhead. And damn it all because Alicia can feel a blush spreading on her cheeks at that.
"Alright," Alicia says, too flustered to argue.
Martha squeezes her hands once before letting go and Alicia can't help but miss the warmth of them. "Then it's settled."
"Alright," repeats Alicia. "We'll have to swing back home, though. I made pie."
"That's wonderful!" Martha's smile is radiant and it makes something in Alicia's chest warm.
She disguises it with a cough before speaking up. "Is six thirty too early for you?"
"It's perfect. We'll be waiting for you then," Martha says. "And for your sister and her husband too, if they manage to tear themselves away from work."
"That's not likely," mumbles Danny under his breath. Uncharacteristically, Jazz doesn't say anything about her brother's manners, only putting her own hand on his shoulder. Martha catches Alicia's eye and they exchange a look.
"Well, we'll be glad to have you three, anywho," Martha states firmly which gets her a hesitant smile from Jazz.
Alicia clears her throat. "We'd better get going if we want to be ready in time."
"Oh yes," Martha agrees. "I have to make sure the turkey's not burning." Then she winks, and for some reason, Alicia can feel that pesky blush coming back. It's made worse by the shrewd look Jazz gives her.
"See you soon!" says Martha as she leaves.
"Bye," Alicia answers back a little weakly. Then she looks down to the ground and sighs. When she straightens her head, she's immediately on guard as she catches her niece's smug look.
"What?" Alicia asks warily.
"Is Martha single?" Jazz asks, with a butter-wouldn't-melt-in-her-mouth face.
"Yeah," the older redhead answers slowly. "Why?"
"Just wanted to know," Jazz says innocently. And even Danny is looking at his sister suspiciously now. "since you've got a crush on her and all."
"I do no-I don't know what you're talking about!" Alicia protests though she feels her cheeks warming for the third time today.
And now Danny is starting to smirk too as he exchanges a look with his sister. "Oh," he starts as he looks towards Martha's disappearing figure. "This is going to be fun."

Masterpost
This has been one of the longest nights in Tim’s whole life. Yes, he did recently stay awake for approximately seventy-two hours, but his brain was led by routine. He could function at the lowest amount to stay awake while still completing tasks. Tonight is different. He is constantly processing and analyzing Phantom’s every move. Jason may be an asshole, but he is still his brother. Aside from the intent watching, Tim did not realize how emotionally charged curing Jason would be. He should have known. He remembers how Bruce and Dick acted following Jason’s death.
Casual physical contact is not out of the ordinary for their family. Fighting excluded, his siblings never minded squishing onto one coach, but the hug Dick pulled Jason into was different. Jason seemed totally relaxed and at home in his big brother’s arms. Tim used to see them close like this at galas and high-class events when they were younger. Jason picks his head up to Bruce, inviting him in. It did not take much for the rest of the family to descend upon Jason in a dog-pile of a group hug, Tim included.
Released from their grip, Jason yawns loudly, “I see what you mean by exhaustion. I could sleep standing up.”
Danny gave him a small smile, responding, “Yeah. You need some rest and there may still be more side effects. Be careful.”
“I think all of you need some rest,” Bruce says. He is ushering Jason toward the elevator. Before they reach the door, Bruce turns around again. Tim can see the look in his eyes before he utters a word.
“Phantom. Uh, Danny. Do you have somewhere to sleep? Alfred could set up a guest room.”
“No need. I have an apartment.”
“But it is two in the morning. Crime Alley is across the city.”
“Thank you. I do appreciate the offer but I am more comfortable there.”
“Well, let Alfred drive you. You must be tired.” Tim held himself back from shaking his head in disapproval. Bruce was trying to adopt another kid right in front of their faces.
“I travel just below the speed of light.” Danny seemed to know what Bruce was doing. Tim almost laughed at the startled look on his dad’s face. Take that old man.
“I will be back tomorrow to discuss blueprints for the purifier. Bye!” Then Danny disappeared into thin air. Bruce seemed to realize he was not gaining another child tonight and entered the elevator. Tim was so tired a second ago, but now he is awake with thoughts thrumming through his brain.
He had almost been too caught up to notice some of the odd things Danny had said. Who is Frostbite? Who are the other colleagues he mentioned at the Bat Burger? Are those the people watching his back? What did Danny mean when he said Jason’s hair was something he had seen before? Why did he need the special blade? Who is Danny? Is he more than just a ghost? How powerful is he? Tim had so many questions. He could not lay in his bed. He had to get answers, so he crept down to the Batcomputer and began his research.
He should not have been surprised how easy it was to find Danny. One online search of apartment leases under the name Danny and he got three hits in Crime Alley. Danny Fenton was the name. Tim could have laughed. Phantom and Fenton. He would have to be blind not to connect the dots. With a first and last name, finding the rest was child’s play. Danny Fenton is a student at Gotham University majoring in astrophysics and a minor in engineering. Tim even found his class schedule.
Wait. A college student? Danny did not look a day over thirteen. Double wait. How does Danny Fenton exist? Is he not dead? After a little more digging, Tim found Danny’s high school transcript and birth certificate. They almost looked real. Almost. Danny Fenton is a fake persona. Unfortunately for Tim, that means no social media or background to look into. The only place he can guarantee finding Danny Fenton is at his physics lecture in Garrett Hall at eight in the morning. Shit. That is in three hours.
“Better get some sleep. Wow. Never thought I would say that.” Tim yawned, logging off of the Batcomputer and shuffling all the way back to his room.
✩✩✩
Finding the lecture hall was easy, but Tim could not recall the room number for the life of him. He spent the first fifteen minutes of investigation time looking for the class.
“Do you need some help? All these rooms look the same,” a girl giggles.
“Yes. I am looking for Physics three thousand one.”
“Second floor, first hallway. Room two-ten.”
“Thanks.” He rushed up the stairs two at a time. Turned left in the first hallway and walked to the end. He silently opened the door and sat in the back row, pulling out a notebook and taking notes to blend in. He should have gotten more sleep because the dark room, lit only by the soft glow of a projector, and the monotonous tone of the professor lulled him right to sleep.
“Tim.” He jolted awake. The lights that had been turned on burned his eyes and he could feel the imprint of his spiral notebook in his face.
“Of course, you had to track me down. Come on. I need to grab food before my next lecture. You are paying.” Tim blinked the tiredness out of his eyes. He got up to follow Danny with haste. This Danny was different. Taller with brown hair and blue eyes. Tim realizes they look around the same age.
“I have seen you before. At the Bat Burger.”
“Yeah. You were in my favorite seat, so I left.” Danny’s voice displays his clear annoyance.
“If I were not so pissed at you, I would probably be impressed, but I guess all of you Bats are little detectives.”
“Sh!”
“Oh, so secret identities only matter when it is you and your family?” Tim panics. Danny is right. He violated the unspoken code of heroes.
“But, I am an unknown, right? Dangerous? Even after I helped Jason and cooperated with the Lazarus Pit plans?”
“Okay! I am sorry. What I did was wrong. I got caught up in theories and research. I am sorry.” Danny grabbed a sandwich and drink from the cooler and went to the register. The worker scanned the items, and he stepped to the side motioning to the card reader. Tim took out his wallet, handing a ten-dollar bill off. He grabbed Danny’s food and walked to a table, not stopping to grab his change. Danny sat across from him to start eating.
“So, why do you look so old or should I say so young as Phantom?”
“Right to the questions, huh?”
“Sorry. You do not have to answer if you do not want to.” Danny appraised him while chewing on his sandwich.
“It is fine. Phantom is only the ghost half of me. Well, more like three-quarters of me. The rest is human.”
“How are you a human and a ghost?”
“Poor parenting and a lab accident,” he says, sipping his drink. Tim is shocked by his casual nature.
“How old are you really?”
“Depends. My human side only ages in human realms, making me about nineteen, but I have been alive far longer than that. A millennia? Give or take a few decades.”
“A thousand years? How come Phantom looks thirteen?”
“Fourteen, actually. Ghosts look the way they did when they died, minus an odd circumstance here and there.”
“That is why you talked to Jason about death like you knew it personally.”
“I do.” He whips his hands of crumbs, slings his backpack over his shoulder, and grabs his drink.
“I also have another class. Throw my trash for me. See you tonight and get more sleep. You are useless to me if you are too tired to read a blueprint.”
✩✩✩
Danny landed on the doorstep of Wayne Manor, letting the white rings of his transformation reveal his civilian clothes. He rang the doorbell and waited for an answer. Alfred answered the door politely.
“Hello, may I help you with anything?” Danny thought Alfred would recognize him as a human but it seems he was wrong.
“Um. I am here to see Tim.” Tim would be the only one to recognize him. Does he look that different? Just then, Steph was passing through the foyer.
“Who is here, Alfred?” Her head peaked past the butler. Her eyes lit up seeing him.
“Oh my god! The cute guy from the Bat Burger! Come in! We can go find Tim together.” She interlocks their arms to lead him into the mansion. This mansion has much more style than Vlad’s. Less dingy too.
“How do you know I am here to see Tim?” She gives him a sidelong look, her smile widening further. Danny blushes at the implication and she giggles. She pushes open the door leading him into a room.
“Tim,” she sing-songs.
“Steph, I am busy with WE reports. Can you wait a moment?”
“Someone is here to see you,” she responds, dragging out the end of her sentence in a teasing manner. Tim’s head turns slowly, his eyes still tracking his laptop screen as he types. When his eyes finally snap to Danny, they widen and he flips back around to his screen. Steph holds in a laugh as he vigorously types. Quickly finishing his report, he shuts down and closes the computer. Popping up from his chair, Tim puts on his best smile and strides over to him.
“Danny. I will show you to the cave.” He can see Steph’s demeanor change in an instant. She turns Danny to face her, examining his face.
“Danny? You look human. How did you age overnight?”
“Uh.”
“Steph, leave him alone. He can explain later. Right now, we can bring him to the cave. Bruce is probably already down there waiting for Phantom to show up. Why did you use the front door?”
“I figured you had already told them about my identity. Either way, I know all of yours, so it is only fair.” They seem to take his answer, and Tim opens the door for him to exit the room. The journey down to the cave was longer than he expected. Getting to the elevator shaft and riding down probably took close to ten minutes.
“Is there not a more efficient way to get to the Batcave?”
“We have thought of other options but this one is good enough for the time being. Secure too.”
“Plus, B rejected Dick’s idea to add a firepole,” Steph tacks on. She leads the group into the main area Danny was in last night. He never did get the time to admire the Batcomputer for the glorious machinery it is. He would love to see its capabilities.
Jason is parking his bike and removing his red helmet when they walk in.
“Is Danny here, yet?”
“Yep,” Danny speaks up. Bruce finally turns to see the group walking toward him.
“Oh, I thought it was just Steph and Tim.” He can tell Bruce is taking in the change in appearance.
“Danny,” Jason calls, “You look significantly less ghost-like.”
“Uh, thank you?”
“Danny is your real name, then?”
“Yeah, so is Phantom. Are we going to get to work?”
“Yes,” Bruce speaks up. “Tell us the plan.”
Danny slipped the backpack off of his shoulder and pulled out a binder. Laying it on the table in the middle of the room, he takes out each blueprint to unfold them.
“There are multiple components to my plan. This,” he points to a paper, “is the design for the ectoplasm purifier.” He bends down to his bag again. He produces a gadget that looks like the sketch.
“I made a prototype and tested it on a few samples I had in the fridge.” Bruce gives him a look.
“In the fridge?”
“Yeah, it is like an energy drink. I stock up once a month. Caffeine is insufficient and I have homework to get done.”
“Homework?”
“Tim, really did not tell you?”
“Danny, here, is a student at Gotham University,” Tim states.
“Yes, where Tim so gratuitously tracked me down this morning,” Danny quips. Tim looks embarrassed with his family's eyes on him.
“I said sorry.”
“And bought me lunch. Oh, before you ask, yes. I am older than fourteen. My ghost form just looks that way.”
“You are a human and a ghost? Like Jason?” Steph’s genuine curiosity stops Danny from yelling angrily at getting off track. He forgot these people do not know the ghost world or him. He has never had to answer this many questions about himself since Jazz found out he was Phantom. It is a solemn thought that makes him miss her even more. He has had centuries to mourn, likely more with the Ghost Zone to human realm time difference, but he just misses his big sister. Steph’s enthusiasm reminds him of her. He signs, resigning to the fact that he will have to explain himself.
“I am a Halfa. Half human and half ghost. I would not say it is half, more like a quarter human. Jason and I are not the same. I died under entirely different circumstances.” He could feel the looks of pity burning into him. One part of him hates it, but the other part of him is grateful for the understanding. Sam, Tucker, and Jazz took a long time to realize he was only Phantom because he had died in the accident. Truthfully, he was so caught up in fighting ghosts that he almost did not realize it himself.
“I am okay. I have had many years to come to terms with it. Let us get back to this.” He pointed at the table. Their attention was back on the project, but he would still sense their sad eyes. Jason especially looked heartbroken. Maybe he was realizing why Danny knew how to comfort him.
“The prototype was effective, but we will need to scale it up. The next problem to solve is getting the processed ectoplasm into the Ghost Zone. There are only three ways to access the Ghost Zone: occasionally successful summoning rituals, naturally occurring rips, or a homemade ghost portal. It would take too long to find a ritual that actually works, so that is out. Finding natural portals is next to impossible without the Infi-Map. I will not endanger it by bringing it here, nor would the rip last long enough to complete the mission. A mechanical ghost portal is the best option, but once you open it, it is a two-way street. We could make an off-switch, but even a few seconds is enough for ghosts to slip through. I have not figured out a way to get around that. My only idea would be magic.”
“We can Zeta in some magic users. They may have the knowledge to assist you on the more ghostly aspects.”
“Thank you, Bruce.”
“Well, later nerds. All this shit goes right over my head. Call me if you need to change a tire.” Jason turns to the elevator.
“I will go to. I am useless when it comes to this.” Steph jogs off the catch Jason, waving as the elevator door closes.
“Where is the blueprint for the ghost portal?” Tim inquires as he flips through the pages on the table.
“Up here.” Danny points to his head. “That knowledge is far more powerful than you think it is. I trust you, but not that much. It is my responsibility to keep the Ghost Zone safe.”
“But-”
“Tim,” Bruce cuts him off, “you can work on the purifier instead. Danny, can you build the portal from memory?”
“Yes.”
“I will go make some calls. When do you think it will be done?”
“A few days if I have all of the materials and work long hours.”
“And, I can finish the purifier quickly too. The blueprint is well drawn, and with the prototype, I should have no problem recreating the effectiveness.”
“I will leave you two to work.” Bruce turned, pulling his phone from his pocket, walking off to make his calls.
Tim gives Danny a quick tour of the equipment and tools.
“How much space will you need?”
“I should be able to build the portal here. I will make it as small as I can while preserving functionality.”
“What is so dangerous about it anyway? Aside from opening a gateway for enemies. You seem a lot more scared of this thing than you are telling us.”
“It is unstable. I have tried to fix other versions of it, but I can never guarantee the safety of the operator. You guys are mortal and this portal has consequences I would never wish upon anyone. My parents were reckless. I can not be responsible for an accident.”
“That is what you meant when you said poor parenting and a lab accident. A ghost portal is what made you Phantom.”
“I have to hand it to you. You are sharp. Get to work. It will take you at least a few hours to construct the filter.”
For once, Tim got the hint to stop pushing into Danny’s past. They both descend into their work silently. Working well into the night before Tim yawns.
“Go get some sleep. You have made good progress.”
“Do you not need sleep?”
“Not really no. Do you want to head upstairs, or should I just put you to sleep? I have to warn you. Your neck will be sore if I knock you out in the chair like that.” Tim’s eyes widen.
“Is that something you are capable of?”
“Do you want to find out?” Danny raised a hand, making it glow green. Tim shoots up and walks to the elevator. Danny watches as the doors begin to close.
“Goodnight, Tim.” Tim smiles and opens his mouth to respond, but the closing doors cut him off.
As his alarm rings, Danny is proud of himself. He got the whole frame built. All he has left is the wiring and the ectoplasm circulation system. The elevator door opens behind him. He turns to see Dick strolling in. He is dressed in workout gear with a protein shake, humming a tune. He stops in his tracks when he notices Danny.
“Who are you? Better yet, how did you get in here?”
“Dick. I am Danny. I am also going to be late for class, so bye.” He transforms into Phantom right in front of Dick. If it were not for his enhanced senses, he would not have heard Dick’s shocked whisper.
“Woah.”
Then, he is shooting off to his Astronomy class.
-----
more romance coming eventually
aside from that, this is the first chapter I actually proofread
Thanks for reading!

Grayden's Golden Superbowl Prep
Grayden was stopped by Percival mid-run. Grayden was all over the place trying to make sure the Halftime show was perfect for the Golden Army. Percival stopped him to remind him to take a deep breath, everything would be okay. Grayden took the time to discuss the Golden Preppy Choir, Percival’s boys, who would be performing the Golden Anthem during Halftime.
Tumblr media
(Grayden getting caught by Percival who takes his clipboard to review Grayden’s schedule)
Percival said he had planned everything perfectly with Maximus and Elijah. Grayden figured Maximus would know being in a similar predicament to him.
Grayden tried to think after the main headliner performers, they were going to have the Golden Preppy Choir, A brief performance by Golden Superman with the Emerald Hulk, A performance by the Polo Drones, A performance by the Emerald Titans selected choir, a mixed performance with the Emerald Titans featuring the mascots from both teams, and closing out with more from the headliners and Ambrose, a former member of the Golden Army.
Tumblr media
(Golden Superman and Emerald Hulk)
This would require a lot of precision. The big corporate sponsor told The Golden Army they normally never packed the Halftime Show with so much, but they were taking a chance.
Tumblr media
(The Bepis Half Time Show; Note sponsor may be changed in the official story)
Grayden knew he needed to delegate. The managers from the headliners make it quite clear the team had to not run over time in the Half time show.
Talking to Maximus, Grayden found that the Golden Preppy Choir had prepared the Golden Anthem and were sure to be on time. There were no doubts about them. Elijah and Maximus were taking strong lead under the guidance of Percival for this part. Grayden was relieved, one part down.
Tumblr media
(Talking to Maximus)
Grayden returned to the mascot office and put in some colored prescription contacts. Then he called Ambrose, the former Gold Team Member and Pup Handler. Ambrose had left the team to do his own thing, but a lot of the team still missed him. When Grayden heard he was contracted to perform he knew it would get the pups and team excited. Ambrose told Grayden his routine was well rehearsed and would be just fine. Grayden felt nostalgic to the time of Ambrose calling him a Good Boy, but the new chav Ambrose was much more serious. Grayden knew that Ambrose wouldn't let him down though.
Tumblr media
(Grayden wearing colored contacts and talking to Ambrose)
Grayden sent a text to Ruben, the Emerald Titans head mascot and event coordinator. The two were friendly rivals and agreed they had planned for the Golden Superman, Emerald Hulk, Choir performances, and joint mascot performances. Grayden breathed a sigh of relief.
Tumblr media
(Emerald Choir)
With that he just had to coordinate the mascot routine and talk to 073 and 151 who he put in charge of the Polo Drone performance. The two level 2 drones were to report to Drone Cap DC-009 and PDU-084 (Grayden) with their routine. Grayden opened his email to find a detailed report from PDU-073, detailing a coordinated marching display with a lot of special effects. It would require the use of many Polo drones in non-activated Level 2 uniforms. But would hopefully achieve the goal of increasing interest and recruitment. Reviewing 073’s report, Grayden could find no flaws. 073 did good work and he could tell 151 helped in planning being a major cheerleader for the team. Grayden also saw 039 and 110 would be monitoring from the control room, he commended the drones’ teamwork.
Tumblr media
(151 and 073, made by 151)
Grayden sent out a mass text to the team.
Mandatory Mascot & Waterboy Meeting
Includes all pups, waterboys, and mascot fill-ins along with all primary mascots.
Be in costume. Report at (time) for training.
Grayden awaited the meeting time. Milo and Maximus were early, to no surprise. They were always quite prompt. Then the others piled in.
Grayden revealed the medley of songs that the mascots had suggested between both teams that were approved by him and Ruben on the Emerald Titans. Grayden helped lead all of the mascots through the basic choreography, not being much of a dancer himself he had enlisted the help of a friend of his who helped coach him through a routine.
Tumblr media
(Grayden's vision of part of the mascot performance)
The pups were also informed of Ambrose's performance and Grayden could see the happy looks in their eyes. He had to remind the pups to be on their best behaviors.
Then he saw Leon and Leander. The two wearers of Dorado. Leon would be wearing Dorado for this routine as Leander, was Pup Ace leading the pups along with Pup Milo to counter the birdmen the Emerald Titans had.
Grayden told them the Golden Knights would match up against the various Emerald Colossus mascots, Dorado against the Emerald Titans Hawk mascot that he didn't know the name of, and the pups against the birdmen. It would be a coordinated effort to put on a spectacular show. They couldn't mess this up though. Everyone was counting on them.
Grayden, Maximus, and Milo coached the mascots and waterboys making sure every motion was perfect. Timing on point. They would need this to be pristine.
Then finally Sunday came. Grayden knew there was a lot today. Not only was he the head mascot and a Polo Drone, but he was in the Golden Army’s starting Football line-up. He was ready to make the team proud.
And as for halftime, he just hoped everything went smoothly.
----------------------
Author's Note:
Sorry this is like 5 days late. I incorporated some ideas from other team members. I'm using this as a template during the official match.
-----------
Thank you to @polo-drone-151 for assisting with the Polo drone picture and to @findingambrose49 for allowing Ambrose to be mentioned.
Want to join The Golden Army? Contact one of our recruiters, @goldenherc9 or @brodygold currently. @polo-drone-001 who normally helps recruit is on break at the moment.

Tumblr media
So this series of posts reminded me of something that really fucking bothers me. While the 442nd are rightfully lauded for their spectacular accomplishments, I’d argue that a different unit of nisei contributed even more to the American war effort.
I’m talking, of course, about the Japanese-American veterans of the Military Intelligence Service (MIS).
Let’s take a moment here and do a little exercise in military logistics. It’s the 1940s and you’re in charge of running the American war effort against the Axis Powers. You want to know as much as possible about your enemy, right? The more you know about their troop movements, strategies, supply lines, morale, etc., the better you’ll be able to counter their efforts and stage attacks. Now, you and your allies have some pretty sharp fellas working on cracking your enemies’ codes, so you’ve actually got a big ol’ pile of communications to go through. There’s just one problem: your enemies don’t use English.
But hey! You’re America! Land of immigrants and all that! Don’t speak German? There’s plenty of German-Americans who do! Don’t speak Italian? There’s plenty of Italian-Americans who do! Don’t speak Japanese? HMMM. WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING TO FIND A BUNCH OF JAPANESE SPEAKERS???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These excerpts come from American Patriots, an anthology of stories from the MIS interpreters put out by the Japanese-American Veterans Association of Washington DC. I know it’ll take a minute, but I want you to read every goddamn word. I *NEED* you to feel the weight of those events:
The United States military was crippled by its lack of Japanese interpreters. They knew they were crippled even before Pearl Harbor. To fix that handicap, they recruited men from literal concentration camps. Not only did those men rise to the occasion, but other men from other camps volunteered to serve. This country did not deserve their loyalty, but they still served. And no one fucking talks about them.
Tumblr media
Wow! That’s amazing! Surely there’s a bunch of movies and books and documentaries about these guys, right? America loves a good patriotic WWII story!
There's almost no media about the Japanese translators. American Patriots is the only book I’ve come across in real life, and that only happened because I stopped by the Japanese American Veterans Association's booth at the Cherry Blossom Festival. There's a few history books, mostly by Japanese-American groups, and a couple of articles, but that’s about it. They're all pretty old (American Patriots came out in 1995). Nobody fucking talks about the nisei translators.
The next time you bring up the heroic service of the 442nd Regiment, bring up the heroic service of the Japanese translators of the MIS. The next time you discuss the contributions of POCs to the US military, I want you to discuss the Japanese translators. The next time you get angry about how Asian-Americans are ignored by American culture, I want you to get angry about the Japanese translators. This is an important piece of American history, and it’s always overlooked, and I’m sure we all know why. Let’s change that.

Neato answers buddy! :D
1: What's one video game the duo would like to go into? (It must be a story game not like Minecraft or any multiplayer)
2: Let's say the starburst duo got sucked into resident evil 2 remake & had to go through the events ( Leon A, just them, & no powers) will they be able to beat it & escape?
3: What's the worst panic attack the duo ever gotten?
4: How would Jon, Chris, Kon & the super-twins cuddle together?
5: Between the super-sons, the super-twins, starburst duo, & timkon, who wins in a game of basketball? Rules: only hover a few inches above ground (if able to) first to 10 scores wins, & the group with the least amount of points get face covered up in make-up.
Aww thanks @pin-crusher2000 . these are always fun to answer XD
1) Hmmm
..Well I have been having in my mind for the longest time a sort of crossover between DC and of all things CoD Zombies so
..Maybe one night Chris and Jake find themselves awakening inside a denounce and hellish version of the infamous Alcatraz Island, crawling all over with not just the undead but also hellhounds all led by an equally demonic Warden and the Duo have their powers severely dampened. They don’t have to rely on firearms to protect themselves but the waves of undead charging at them are endless and there’s seemingly no escape. Thats when they get help from a certain voice of a girl who guides them on their little haunting adventure, explaining that ancient evil which brought these undead to life had sucked the Duo into this world to break a sort of cycle their reality was within to ensure their own dominance or reality.
The girl’s name is Samantha. She would tell Chris and Jake how all this really began
Basically The Starburst Duo in a combination of Mob of the Dead and Origins basically lol.
2) Oh definitely so. Their parents taught them very well on survival techniques for those types of scenarios where both the Dead and the Monstrous Rise and they’re left powerless. As such, them fighting alongside the lovable rookie cop that is Leon Kennedy in the world ravaged by the T Virus can seem right up their alley no matter how freaky the effects of said Virus can be like, and not just those Nemesis T Zombies
3) Chris: The one he got once a more complete picture of his memories as Lor Zod and all the harsh treatment he got from his birth father and after sending the General and his army back into the Phantom Zone, being surrounded by all those reporters and his super hearing picking up on all the sounds of suffering all over Metropolis, unable to reach his family and eventually the pressure getting so bad, he straight flew away from the sight as fast as he could and far away from everything as fast as he could. It was once he was far away enough at the other side of the globe that he managed to calm himself to an extent. It really took another whole week wandering the earth in secret and about another week and a half staying with the Graysons until Chris finally was able to approach the Kents once again.
Jake: Probably in the immediate months after he was discharged from Bludhaven General Hospital for his recovery from his fateful and haunting duel against Victor Zsasz, it’s easy to envision Jake getting increased anxiety with capers and cases involving kids like himself in grave danger or far worse. He might get the job done if it involves rescuing said kids but his mind has gone into full overdrive with panic and fear as those memories of finding those slain orphans and how cruel Zsasz was are surfacing. It usually takes his allies, friends and loved ones present to help calm him. Also of course, plenty of nightmares and bad dreams about that particular case are a lot frequent for him, especially on those first few months afterwards.
4) it’s a five person longways pile on either the living room couch or a king sized bed. Conner would be at the core with Chris to his immediate right side and Osul to his left. From there, Jon would be snoring happily next to Osul while Otho in turn is cuddled up next to Chris. Conner’s loud snoring is blissful ambiance for the younger siblings.
5) I would say it’s major tie between the Super Twins and the Starburst Duo, not simply for their power levels and ability to learn as they play. It’s moreso how well in tune those two teams really are with Chris and Jake complimenting each other’s strengths and weaknesses with both stern direction and experience. Thr Twins on the other hand have superb understanding of what the other of doing and how to follow suit given their years working side by side back on Warworld

Ahhh I have to ask another that last Drabble was so good! For kiss roulette can you do number 38 please for fivesoka 👀💕
Thanks for another request! I hope you enjoy! 💙
Also posted on Ao3 here.
—
Prompt 38: A kiss while one party is carried
Fives’ heart pounded in his ears as he sprinted across the battlefield.
He’d been so focused on his own section of the firefight that, even though he’d taken note when the Jedi had engaged General Grievous, that piece of information had fallen to the back of his mind as he focused on the battle droids around him.
He’d been crouched with Tup behind the cover of a broken slab of concrete, when the flashing of green and blue lightsabers caught his eye. In the heartbeat that he glanced towards the Jedi, he caught the moment when Grievous struck and Ahsoka fell.
Fives felt as though his breath had been knocked from his lungs and his body subconsciously transitioned into autopilot. There was no longer time for precautions. Six SBDs remained in front of him and the ARC trooper swiftly dispatched them with six precise shots of his DC-17s.
Then he took off across the battlefield, his vision tunneling on the location where he’d last seen Ahsoka. Fives barely noticed the enemies that attempted to block him. He jumped, twisted, and discharged his blasters, disabling the oncoming droids without even thinking about it.
Finally, he made it to the open area where he’d last seen the Jedi. Grievous was long gone, as were Skywalker and Kenobi. Fives activated his rangefinder and frantically swept the clearing. There.
His breath finally returned when he spotted a figure behind a pile of rubble that matched the commander’s size. He’d found her, but that didn’t mean she was alright. He charged across the open area, not even bothering to check that there were no other enemies nearby.
Fives rounded the rubble pile and his heart leapt into his throat. Ahsoka was lying on her back, unconscious. A cauterized gash stretched across her right thigh and several cuts streaked her face.
Throwing off his helmet, Fives dropped to his knees beside her.
“Commander!” he gasped.
When she didn’t respond, he pressed two fingers to the pulse point on her neck and exhaled with relief when he felt her heartbeat.
The air around him had gone still, and Fives realized that the battle must have ended or at least paused for now. A quick glance over his shoulder confirmed as such when he saw that his brothers had emerged from their cover and he could no longer spot any standing battle droids.
“Kix, get over here!” he shouted, as soon as he spotted the medic, not even bothering to use their comm channel.
Without waiting to see if Kix heard him, he turned back to Ahsoka, who still lay unconscious in front of him. Carefully, he lifted her into his lap, cradling her upper body with one of his arms. His heart clenched when she still didn’t stir.
“Commander, wake up.” He felt his voice threatening to crack as he spoke. “Ahsoka, please.”
Suddenly her blue eyes flew open and she nearly jumped out of his arms, but he held her where she was. Her eyes darted rapidly around her, trying to determine what had happened. Then her gaze found Fives’ and she seemed to deflate; she likely would have fallen over, if she weren’t being held up by his embrace.
“Fives?” she asked weakly. “What happened?”
“Grievous got you,” he told her. Then he released a ragged breath. “You di’kut, Ahsoka, you need to be more careful,” he tried to scold, but he couldn’t control the shaking in his voice.
“Says the ARC trooper running around a battlefield without a helmet on,” she countered. She reached up to brush the backs of her knuckles against his cheek, sending shivers through him under his armor.
“Commander, are you alright?” Kix’s approach saved Fives from having to respond.
“I’m fine, Kix,” Ahsoka responded calmly, her voice now having regained some of its usual strength.
“That’s good to hear.” The tension in the medic’s shoulders seemed to ease slightly at her reassurance. “Will you be alright until we make it back to base?”
“Of course. Thank you, Kix.”
“Yes, sir. I can send someone over to help you walk back-”
“No, I got it,” Fives interrupted.
“If you say so, Fives.” The medic raised his hands as if in surrender, then turned to continue cataloging the company’s casualties.
“Can you help me up, so I can walk?” Ahsoka asked, glancing up at Fives.
He flashed her a half-smile. “Nope.”
He grabbed his helmet from where it had fallen beside him and clipped it to his left hip. Then, keeping one arm around Ahsoka’s shoulders and hooking the other under her knees, he stood, lifting her with him. He’d never carried her before, but he wasn’t at all surprised at how light she was.
“I was being careful, you know,” she muttered, as he began walking.
Fives couldn’t help but chuckle. “And not at all reckless?”
“Well
”
He laughed again when she hesitated and scrunched her nose.
Then he sighed. “Just try not to get hurt next time. Please?”
She looked up at him and something flashed across her blue eyes, though he wasn’t certain what it was.
“Fine,” she agreed, after a moment. “Only for you.”
“I’ll take it.”
An unfamiliar warmth swelled in his chest and he leaned down to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. She sighed and leaned her head against his chest, and he held her a little tighter as he carried her the rest of the way back to their base.

Rubezahls are demons that take the form of a black furred stag that walks on its hind legs. It's legs shift to those of a shaggy goat, and its arms end in clawed hands, but most dangerous are the immense, curved horns that grace its head. These demons are drawn to high mountains, where they enjoy using their magic to disguise themselves as travelling monks, lost merchants, or other innocent and vulnerable victims to draw in victims.
Rubezahls are consummate liars and tricksters, and also have control of lightning, calling down bolts from the sky onto their prey. One of the other nicknames for them is counting demons, coming from their compulsion to count objects. A rubezahl can be distracted for precious moments as it must count a handful of coins, a quiver of arrows, or a pile of rocks. Unfortunately, it is only for a moment, as rubezahls are extremely fast counters and can track even a giant pile of gravel in mere moments, after which they will vent their rage for their compulsion being exploited on the one who did so.

Knotting "among most significant challenges to post-Vietnam America", scientists say
WASHINGTON, DC | August 3rd 1976
Hundreds of high school graduates suffered traumatic injury and PTSD in the jungles of southeast asia. For many, knotting is the only relief they can find. "I saw bodies piled up in ditches. I got shipped to firebase Charlie-29 with my best bud from back home. We were gonna cross the country on a road trip... now all i got of him is this picture," said Morwen Thistie, a 20-year old man who was among the last evacuated from Saigon during its fall to North Vietnamese forces last year. Morwen continued, "knotting's all I have. Everyone from my unit does. I guess it's kinda a shared experience, though that's kinda [expletive removed]". And Morwen is not alone in feeling angry. Across the country-- in rural and urban areas, Democratic and Republican, East and West Coast-- young men are calling for their elected representatives to take effective and humanitarian action to address the knotting crisis. "My clients, drafted into a war that brutalized and traumatized them for no benefit, are now being criminalized for knotting by the very government that allowed it in the first place. And frankly, that is shameful." reads the public statement of Kevin G. Auss, a lawyer working *pro bono* for a group of men suing the New York prosecutor over knotting charges. Auss, himself a former knotter, says that such a pathway is not only the moral option-- it's also the only feasible option. "If we don't address the knotting epidemic that we created, who knows where we'll be in ten years?" Auss said during our interview with him (see page A9 "knotting). The *Times* contacted the Department of Defense for this story, who declined to comment.

Smiffina Episodes - Episode 431
"Would you like a cup of coffee or another cup of hot bile?" Smithy asks Kezia, being stuck with her for another shift to help her sort through some paperwork. She moans continuously at Smithy about how little she's getting to do compared to two CID sergeants (seemingly forgetting she's only a trainee DC) and doesn't seem to register that when she was actually given a case she lost her temper, blew it and then charged to the man's house and tried to harass him.
Smithy suggests that she stamps her foot for a bit to try change it and Kezia insists she's the right to be annoyed and she could be working on bigger and better things. "But you're not, you're standing there and bitching at me." he points out, telling her the more that she moans and whines about it and the less she does her work, the less likely she is to find a lead and actually get something to go out and investigate like she wants to! She really is petulant and it's not endearing in the slightest!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thanks to Smithy guiding her, Kezia winds her neck in, crosschecks registrations, finds what she's looking for, gets the CCTV, investigates it, finds proof to her suspicions and impresses her sergeants. Funny what can happen when you actually do your job!
He returns later to find the CID briefing room in complete disarray and Sgt Army visibly twitches and starts to clear up after her, disposing of her rubbish for her. She teases him by throwing her paperwork across the desk - but dislodges a half cup of tea in the process which spills all across the paperwork. Smithy literally leaps into action to clear the mess up and then bring some order to the chaos. In doing so he finds leads amongst the mess and they are able to suggest a possible reason for the crime having happened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Later, when Smithy has ordered everything back into nice neat piles and found the related paperwork for each part, he also has found an application form for a job that is filled out by Keith Durante - the suspected rapist that Smithy saved Kezia from a charge of harassment against the other night. It turns out that the route would have brought him into contact regularly with his suspected second victim - something he's shown a pattern of wanting to do with all his victims. Smithy suggests they check the classifieds of the local paper to see if he's applied for more - he has, all within walking distance of the hospital. He then goes on to check to see if the companies themselves have any links with St Hughes. He returns to find Kezia leaving a voicemail for Beth, telling her that she could be in danger. Smithy points out they don't know the full story so she could be worrying a rape victim that her rapist may attack her again for no reason. He makes Kezia ring Beth again to try get hold of her before she hears the message. Beth doesn't answer the phone and Kezia dismisses Smithy's insistence that she shouldn't have put her in that position, claiming she's trying to protect her. She marches over to Neil and puts it to him - and won't accept she's done wrong from her DI either!
Smithy also ends up getting read the riot act by Neil for allowing it to happen - despite knowing nothing of it and not even being in the room when it happened. And after all of that he still tried to soften Neil's blow by making an 'excuse' for her!

Today was a really good day but also really surprising in different ways. I felt better then I expected. I was absolutely exhausted when I woke up. I did not sleep great. I really struggled to fall asleep. And when I did sleep it just want good. I had very scary dreams. And woke up really groggy.
But I did my best to power through and shake it off. I got washed and dressed. I felt like my hair was to fluffy today after washing it last night. But it was fine. James set up a little snack box for me and walked me outside. They were biking to DC today, and would let me know when they got there. I would head to work and got there on time.
And it was a lovely day. I was a little colder then I expected. I would be warm in the sun but whenever I was under tree cover I was really cold!
I would spend the first hours of the day setting up some stuff around camp. Putting away other thing. I also continued to work on my lessons. And then started drawing some ideas for camp swag.
Alexi would come in and she told me all about her Disney trip and showed me pictures. Heather would join soon and we all chilled and talked about things I can be doing and some ideas for camp next year. A lot of talking about training and the buy in and the bit. It was a really productive conversation.
Heather and me would go up to to the barn for our little group. This is a school with high support needs students and they will come out every week. It is a small group, but that's even better. I love a small group.
We would get set up with Chloe. There was some road work being done but they promised to take a two hour break so the noise wouldn't upset our students.
They would show up just about on time. I was chatting with Chloe about my new role at camp while the bus driver did some pretty impressive moved to back up the bus and park it on the path because their was a delivery of rocks that was piled in the normal parking space. She was a master at moving that bus seriously we were impressed.
The group was really nice. But we were all a little alarmed when they told us they had stopped and used the girls latrine and it was covered in dead wasps and what they described as "writhing mice". This was super concerning.
So I took a broom and went down to investigate. And sure as shit there was like a few dozen giant dead wasps on the ground and in the shorts and sinks. Horrible. And there were two (I would find a third later) baby mice just on the ground. Not even near each other!
I found a washcloth and picked up the two, adding the third which was in the worst state laying in its side and covered in cob webs, and put them in the sink while I dealt with the wasps. I swept them all out the door and tried to make it nicer then it was. And then I collected the washcloth and brought it with me back to the barn.
I did not have a plan. Chloe gave me a bucket of hay to put them in with my washcloth and eventually my sweatshirt. I just needed to get them warm, they were so cold. I learned that baby mice can't regulate their own temperature. So I did my best to warm them up.
So I was a little distracted. The woman in charge of the group kept saying that the mice were being weird, acting like they were on LSD. And I was just like. They are just abandoned babies, it's alright. Heather suggested feeding them to the snakes but I am not sure why mom abandoned them so I didn't want to risk it. And of course then I got a little attached.
They would be fine in the bucket for now. I hsd my program to run.
I was in charge of helping the student wash buckets. They liked using the hoses. And we got 4 buckets cleaned and filled with fresh water for the horses. They did a good job.
The one student I remember from last year and she seemed so much more self assured. She also just really liked putting her hands in the water buckets. I don't blame her I also like being in the water.
Once they were all done petting the horses and cleaning the tack, they would walk up to the fields to return the horses. I would stay behind and put a few things away and get my baby mice.
I bundled them up and put them in my cleavage. Kept them warm and kept me hands free.
After I put stuff away I went up to see the horses in the feild and it was very bright but also just super beautiful. I showed them the mice and I think everyone thinks I'm being silly. But Heather said it was sweet.
We would finish up with them and had a nice walk back to the barns. The students got back on the bus to leave and we finished putting things away and then me and Heather drove back to the office.
We talked about pregnancy, because the one teacher was pregnant, and Heather told me about when she had her kids. And how hard it was getting pregnant. But how her second happened so fast. Which I thought was interesting. And we went inside.
Where I showed Elizabeth the cup of snails I had brought from home, and my cleavage of mice. She didn't believe at first. But I showed her and Alexi my mice. And then went to find a better container for them at nature.
I also dropped my snails in their new tank, which is still just so cold?? I'm going to have to get a heating element if we don't have one in storage. I thought the lamp I put up would warm the water but no such luck. Hopefully this set lives until then I guess.
I got a critter keeper and some more towels. I set the mics up real cozy and once I got back to the office I microwaved a water bottle to give them something warm to cuddle against. Which they seemed to like for the most part. They make the smallest peeping noises. It's very sweet.
The afternoon would be eating my leftover poke burrito. The rice was to dry and the pineapple turned green but it was still very good. I finished my first sketch for my camp merch idea. I did some research for supplies. I went and set up my Native American field trip for Thursday because I wont have time tomorrow. I felt good. I felt productive.
It was nice to drive around camp getting stuff set up. I used my wagon to get things from my car to the lodge and that helped with the amount of trips. But I was getting really tired.
It was around 3 and I was feeling it hard. I just get so tired at 3. But I went back to the office. I took it slow. I did some research for Heather. I helped brainstorm some theme ideas. I took some notes for project ideas. It was a good time. I only played around on my phone a little.
And soon enough it was time to go home.
I collected my mouse box and buckled them in. I realized I left my chapstick on the table at the barn so I would drive up there first before letting James know I was heading home. I had a snack bag of popcorn while I drove and drank all my water. There wasn't any traffic. And I was happy to be back home.
James seemed very happy to see me. They helped me get the mice set up. Heated up a small heating pad (and misunderstanding and microwaving a slim Jim style cat treat??) And got me the cat milk to try to feed them. But I couldn't find my pippets and was very frustrated. Was pleased when I got them to just kind of nurse on my finger but it probably wasn't enough if the internet was to be believed. I tried my best. They mostly just seemed thrilled to be warm in my hand. I held them until my arm ached. And set their container on a high shelf so Sweetp won't notice them.
I hung out on the couch with sweetp for a long time. I didn't want to do anything really. There was stuff I could do but I didn't want to. I did clean the kitty litter. I did vacuum what I spilled. But I mostly just wanted to melt into the couch.
And that's what I did. Until around 630 when we decided to go to Mathew's pizza for dinner. We had been waiting to see if our friend Lane was coming over but she was not able to. So a little dinner in highlandtown for us.
And it was a really nice dinner. The waitress knew our order without us saying anything. James is so sad to know they could have been speaking in Spanish to her this whole time. I showed James my drawing from today. And Jess texted me that she booked our birthday Disney trip for late January/early February! What a lovely way to end a good day.
I was getting really exhausted though. James said they would carry me but I really don't like being carried. Because I don't like to be squeezed. But it wouldn't come to that. We drove home. I made it upstairs. We checked on Sweetp and fed the aquatics. And got the mice a little more milk.
I finally remembered where I put the pipettes and I don't know if it really worked great but I got them a little more at least and we reheated their heating pad. I hope they will be okay in the morning.
My plan is to put the container in the girls latrine in the morning and see if their mom comes back. If not I'll keep trying to take care of them. If I can keep them alive until their eyes are open I will be thrilled because then they can just eat regular food. And if they stay alive I'm going to make them an interesting habitat in the nature center. Away from the snakes.
Now though I am really tired. I am going to go take a shower. I need to be well rested. Tomorrow is a busy day.
We have groups tomorrow and I have my appointment to get my IUD taken out. To say I'm nervous is an understatement but I will be okay. I'm just afraid they are going to pull it out like they are starting a lawn mower. Which is unlikely but is still what I'm afraid of??
Wish me luck. I love you all. Goodnight!!
