Does daemon blackfyre sound like the kinda guy to say bro?

Well, “bro” isn’t used at all in the series, so literally he wouldn’t. As for the figurative “informal title” that “bro” can signify, I headcanon Daemon of basically doing the opposite: Daemon was raised in King’s Landing among nobles (where there’s more pressure to “speak properly”) and had the class structure drilled into his head (he’s below “trueborn” Tàrgaryens on the social ladder). I think he would always use someone’s title if they were higher on the social ladder than him (lords, princes) or if he didn’t know them very well. He’d never ever refer to Dæron II and his descendants by anything familiar, because as stated Dæron wanted everyone to know that he was of higher status than Daemon, and Dæron’s sons wouldn’t reach out to try a familiar relationship. Granted, I assume he had a warmer relationship with Aegor and Brynden Rivers, and wouldn’t call them Bloodraven or Bittersteel (which are pejoratives, and we know Aegor at least didn’t like the epithet), but probably just by their first names. I also imagine that he had unique nicknames for some close ones (wife, children, foster siblings), but nothing generic like “bro” (instead sort of like how Rodrik Harlaw calls his older sister Alannys “Lanny”), and probably wouldn’t use them in public. But for me he’s more like Sansa with titles, and would avoid harmful nicknames or terminology (not using Bittersteel and Bloodraven to refer to Aegor and Brynden, calling Black Byren Flowers “Ser Byren” or “Byren the Bard” to not bring up his illegitimate name), and retreat into formality if he’s feeling insulted by someone of higher status (Ex: the type to call his wife “my lady of Tyrosh” if he’s upset with her).

Aegor is more the type to call his cousins (presumably Otho and his brothers) “coz”, which is a term used several times (by Jaime to his cousins Cleos, Lancel, and Daven; by Andrew Estermont to his young cousin Edric Storm; by Dick Straw about Myrakis’ cousin), considering he wasn’t raised in a place that emphasized formal speaking and he was raised by the Brackens, so there’d be more familiarity than with the Tàrgaryens of any status.

Unforgotten, the critically acclaimed crime drama created and written by Chris Lang, has started filming on a sixth season. Sinéad Keenan and Sanjeev Bhaskar reprise their roles as DCI Jess James and DI Sunil ‘Sunny’ Khan as their dynamic on-screen partnership returns to investigate emotionally charged cold cases from the past, unravelling secrets and unearthing buried truths along the way.

The new season will be directed by Andy Wilson (Ripper Street, Spooks, The Forsyte Saga) who has been the sole director responsible for directing each of the previous 30 episodes across five seasons of the successful drama.

“I am absolutely delighted to be stepping into the world of Unforgotten once more,” Keenan said. “To be involved with the incredible team…on yet another set of stellar scripts from Chris Lang, with the brilliant Andy Wilson at the helm is a real treat. And to get to work again with Sanjeev, Carolina, Jordan, Pippa, and Georgia is an absolute joy. To call it *work* is a total misnomer. I can’t wait to get started!”

Joining Sinéad and Sanjeev for this series are Victoria Hamilton (Cobra, His Dark Materials), MyAnna Buring (The Responder, The Witcher, The Salisbury Poisonings), acting newcomers Max Fairley and Elham Elas, and legendary British actors Jan Francis and Damien Maloney with returning performances from Andrew Lancel (Bolan’s Shoes, Unforgotten, The Thief, His Wife and The Canoe) as Jess’s husband Steve and Kate Robbins (Unforgotten, The Couple Next Door, Death in Paradise) as her mother Kate.

Jess and Sunny’s loyal and hard-working police team are also back including Jordan Long as DS Murray Boulting, Carolina Main as DC Fran Lingley and Pippa Nixon as DC Kaz Willets. Georgia Mackenzie who plays pathologist Dr. Leanne Balcombe is also returning to the show.

In Season 6, when suspected human remains are discovered on Whitney Marsh, Jess and Sunny are called to the scene. With Dr Balcombe’s expert analysis of the human spine, it’s evident the remains are relatively recent and her guess is the body was put there already dismembered. With this knowledge Jess and Sunny begin to search the area believing other body parts may not be too far away.

In the meantime, we’re introduced to outspoken television commentator Melinda Ricci (MyAnna Buring) who is based in Ireland and renowned for her forthright views, Martin ‘Marty’ Baines (Max Fairley) an autistic man who lives with his mother, Dot, in Deal, Kent, Asif Syed (Elham Elas), an Afghan who speaks fluent English and is training for his UK citizenship test, and Juliet Cooper (Victoria Hamilton) who is a history lecturer and faculty head at a central London University.

Each of these characters live separate lives, yet they are intrinsically linked by their past and it’s for Jess, Sunny and their team to unravel these connections in search of the truth, and ultimately, who perpetrated the cold case murder.

Full Casting for Cilla The Musical

Full casting has been announced for the UK touring production of Cilla the Musical. 

Joining the previously announced Kara Lily Hayworth will be Andrew Lancel as Brian Epstein, Carl Au as Bobby, Amy Bridges as Rose Willis, Gemma Brodrick-Bower as Pauline, Paul Broughton as John White, Bill Caple as Ringo Star, Tom Christian as Kenny Willis, Tom Dunlea as Hutch, Pauline Fleming as Big Cilla, Joshua Gannon as Paul McCartney, Billie Hardy as Pat and Michael Hawkins as John Lennon. 

The ensemble will be completed by Alan Howell, Jay Osbourne, Alex Harford, Will Kinnon, Jenny Murphy, Tom Sowinski and Christopher Weeks. 

Cilla the Musical will be based on the critically acclaimed ITV mini-series which stared Sheridan Smith and followed the highs and lows of Cilla’s rise to fame including her performances in Liverpool’s Cavern Club and will feature songs like Anyone Who Had a Heart and Alfie. 

The tour will open at the Liverpool Empire on the 7th of September before touring to Edinburgh, Milton Keynes, Southampton, Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff , Wimbledon, Stoke and Manchester.

Goodwife Amabel (main series era): A servant from Lady Shella Whent's household in Harrenhal. She is friends with Goodwife Harra, and they oversee the prisoners brought to Harrenhal by Gregor Clegane's men. When Harra is executed by Lord Bolton after Arya sets the northmen free, Amabel is distraught. By the time Jaime arrives at Harrenhal on his way to lift the siege of Riverrun, Amabel is gone. Fancast: Glenis Levistam.

Amanda Arryn (b. approx. 74 AC): Daughter of Lord Rodrik Arryn of the Eyrie and his first wife. Princess Daella Targaryen became her stepmother. Amanda welcomed her and wrote letters on her behalf. Fancast: Alexandrea Owens-Sarno.

Amarei Crakehall (c. 230-264 AC): Third wife of Lord Walder Frey and mother to seven of his children. Fancast: Alexandra Tydings.

Septa Amarys (lived around 131 AC): She was tasked with the religious instruction of Baela Targaryen, daughter of Prince Daemon Targaryen, but did not succeed in taming her wild nature. Fancast: Julie Andrews.

Amerei Frey (b. 282 AC): Daughter of Merrett Frey, Lord Walder's ninth son, and his wife Mariya Darry. She is the granddaughter of Amarei Crakehall. After being caught with three grooms in the stables, Amerei is married off to a hedge knight, who is later slain by Gregor Clegane. She is then married to Lancel Lannister in order to strengthen his hold on Darry lands, but Lancel dissolves the marriage. Fancast: Hudson Leick.

The Amethyst Empress (Age of Heroes): Legendary eighth ruler of the Great Empire of the Dawn and descendant of the gods. She was usurped and slain by her brother, the treacherous Bloodstone Emperor. According to the annals of the Further East, this act ushered in the Long Night and ended the Empire of the Dawn. Fancast: Li Bingbing.

Annara Farring (c. 270-298 AC): Lord Walder Frey's seventh wife and mother to six of his children. Fancast: Erin Cummings.

Anya Waynwood (main series era): Lady of Ironoaks and Head of House Waynwood. She has three sons and many daughters and grandchildren. Harrold Hardyng, the heir to the Vale, is her cousin and ward. She is one of the Lords Declarant who swear to drive Petyr Baelish out of the Vale after Lysa Arryn's death. However, Petyr manages to manipulate the situation to his advantage and even persuades Anya to allow Harrold to marry his bastard daughter, Alayne Stone, who is really Sansa Stark in disguise. Fancast: Maggie Smith.

Anya Weatherwax (b. 126 AC): She was presented to King Aegon III Targaryen at the Maiden's Day Ball after the death of his first wife. She told the king of her horse Twinklehoof, whom she loved very much. Fancast: Aubrey Elise.

Aregelle Stark (b. approx. 180 AC): Second daughter of Serena Stark and her husband Edric Stark, who was also her uncle. Serena was the younger daughter of Rickon Stark, who was the heir to Winterfell before his death, but none of Rickon's descendants inherited Winterfell. Aregelle's older twin brothers, Cregard and Torrhen, probably died young. Aregelle was married to Lord Robard Cerwyn and bore him children. Fancast: Lily Sullivan.

A truly lovely tribute to Cilla Black a much-loved singer and entertainer who sadly passed away in 2015. This was a great way for my generation to really learn about her background, where she came from and everything she did before the 1990s and her TV career. As I’m going to be brutally honest my main experience when I was younger was seeing her on Surprise Surprise and Blind Date. Obviously I then knew more about her singing and a few of her songs, so this was the perfect show to get to know her a little bit better.

Born Pricilla White in Liverpool and performing with The Beatles in The Cavern before they all made it big. In a time when getting to number one was really the biggest aim and honour. It just doesn’t feel that way anymore with no Top of the Pops or a big deal made about selling records, just check out the digital download chart now! I found that a pretty interesting aspect of the show in all honesty to show how times have changed a lot and that is something that you can never really get away from.

  The production takes on a pretty simple form in terms of set, being either on stage, in the recording studio or back in the house in Liverpool. I think that just shows that it really didn’t need anything else as it would have taken away from the story and how some of the songs came about. It showed Brian Epstein battling his demons as he found The Beatles and Cilla trying to get them world-wide success.

Performance wise I found Kara Lily Hayworth as Cilla to be fantastic, engaging with each part of the role. Having a truly incredible singing voice and really became the character, something which must be extremely difficult for a very popular star. The placement of the songs is very good and I must admit that I really do love “Anyone Who Had a Heart” and it is the perfect end to the first act. I also thought she had great chemistry with Carl Au who tries his very best for Cilla and it really is just a fantastic love story. The Beatles were also great as well, I was sitting pretty high up at the Theatre and thought they looked very good too.

I enjoyed how it was very clever to link the other performers and how they all started out at a similar time. The songs also linking together with some just lovely moments, especially with the budding romance between Cilla and Bobby.

A very enjoyable and lovely show from start to finish! I throughly enjoyed being able to learn a lot more about Cilla Black and I am sure many more people will as well.
