its prosecutor jiang wanyin!!!! oh fuck!!! / gifs + au rambling below the cut / follow for more mdzs x aa crossover stuff :3
all the gifs i made (poses traced off franziska):
hes so similar to franziska when you think about it. theyre both deeply insecure tsundere adoptive younger sibling of successful main characters. who carry whips. something something edgeworth choosing death and wwx actually dying also
his share code is HWFEFF if you wanna use him in a trial! you can't share backgrounds but heres the scenery from the donghua i used.
the easiest way to put custom stuff into objection.lol is to send it in discord and then use the link from opening it in your browser :)
a whole lot of AU stuff
the art im making is for if mdzs was an ace attorney game, playing from WWX's POV to solve various mysteries/cases over the course of the plot. so this scene would be from turnabout goddess, which would loosely cover the dafan mountain mystery.
cases include:
Turnabout Revenge (Mo Manor, quick introductory first case)
Turnabout Goddess (Dafan mountain, the good times flashback)
Turnabout Saber (the man-eating castle (omg hiii nhs))
The Blind Turnabout (Yi City arc)
Turnabout Deviation (the Koi Tower conference, Empathy on NMJ ala turnabout memories or beginnings. opening cutscene is his qi deviation)
The Blood-Soaked Turnabout (second Burial Mounds siege, flashbacks: Xuanwu, Sunshot, YLLZ, Nightless City massacre)
Turnabout Lotus Seeds (testimony about JGY, tree scene, golden core reveal, bathtub scene. opening cutscene could be JGS' death but that would make it canon rather than ambiguous)
Turnabout Confession (Guanyin temple)
the problem with splitting novel!mdzs into turnabouts is that flashbacks are a huge chunk of the book but they don't have mysteries/ cases to solve so they've gotta be lumped together with present day stuff. imo? many of the flashbacks would likely have to be abridged so they could be retold ala DL-6, SL-9, or the fourth grade incident, where characters talk about it over some pieces of art. this is really difficult when theres a metric ton of unspoken, complex, and signifcant history between every character lmao
there's not as much of a problem with the cql timeline but i have not finished it. so.
the opening cutscenes in ace attorney always show the murder and/or the murderer plotting. the first cutscene of the game would be MXY summoning WWX, muttering about getting revenge on his family (it would also be good for him to mention the yllz being dead because that's how the novel starts.) cut to WWX's POV as he wakes up covered in blood and the investigation segment begins.
for investigations of monsters (goddess, saber, etc) the cutscene would be a scene of some poor throwaway cultivator getting their shit wrecked.
it would be cool to make a breakdown for JGY but again I need to review that scene cause I don't know who I'd base him on. maybe Vasquez or Dahlia.
tell me your thoughts!! i'm working off of a mdzs summary/ skimming the novel because i don't remember it too well so if i get anything wrong please yell at me
Jin Ling's sprites & Nie Huaisang's sprites / masterpost
#PLEAAAASE send it to me if you do actually use my animations in a case🥺#here im adapting mdzs to aa gameplay rather than making a mdzs AU where they are lawyers#so jiang cheng is not a prosecutor in this hes just angry. and on the right side of the screen#that man has not graduated law school but then again no one in ace attorney has either#the names are based off of how ace attorney cases are either named after a distinctive item/location (bigtop bridge samurai etc)#or the main emotional/character type thing that happens (goodbyes reminiscence farewell)#the mdzs/aa au where the stories get blended (ie my tags on the nhs post) is very interesting but i would have to think about it very hard#and i dont want to . i would rather think about what the court record would look like (its full of severed limbs)#MDZS' EXPLORATIONS OF MORALITY MAKE ME CHEW ON ROCKS#urrgh i got carried away writing this post & wrote a couple hundred words comparing aa and mdzs' attitudes towards morality & public opinio#i could write an essay on this topic tbh.#can i call this an au? its the same story in the same universe just in a different format. hmm#mdzs#aa#art#mo dao zu shi#ace attorney#grandmaster of demonic cultivation#cql#the untamed#jiang cheng#jin ling#objection.lol#flashing image tw#pixel art#animation#my art#franziska von karma#i guess??#mdzs aa au

I crawled through sixteen episodes of Fourever You, so I could drag myself into the finale for THIS color coding! I had my doubts in some of these episodes, but here I am, living my best color-coded life because North is a Green Guy and Johan IS a Red Rascal.
And now that they are together, they perfectly complement each other as two chile peppers would!
Hill and Ter are also two great color-coded boys in love since bright and happy Yellow Yal Ter brought reserved and quiet Blue Boy Hill out of his shell.
EVERYONE IS COLOR CODED AND IN LOVE!
Well, expect for Typhoon, but his sad story is coming in Part Two, which I better be getting this year like Director New said. Or else!
Because I also want to know about his little friend Dao's spicy story with Arthit!
Oh, and apparently the continuation of Tiger and Duennao's story too.
Since they still aren't a couple; they just act like it six days a week.
But back to the couples who are official couples being cute.
Well, and Johan being so possessive that he won't even let his mom hug North. Peak Red Rascal behavior. Love to see it in fictional men.
Johan keeps up the behavior when they go home to visit their families. He hides his Green Guy behind him as he tries to not act his red color.
But that doesn't last long since he argues with his father at the slightest hint of his man's name on his dad's lips.
So even though The Alamo shirt looks blue, it feels green to me since North is truly the only thing keeping his man calm at any given moment.
All Johan needs is to look at North, and the entire world ceases to exist. Look at Johan. He ain't listening. He hasn't heard one word from North's pretty little mouth.
All he heard was North would leave him, and he jumped into sugar daddy mode. He said, "take all my money because I already gave you my heart." North, buy a bouncy house. No! A bouncy CASTLE! Use that man's money for good.
And invite your bestie Ter since he is going through it as he visits not only his family which includes the dad who yelled at him for being gay, but also Hill's family which includes the grandpa who separated them for being gay. It's a homophobe hoedown.
I know it's a lot, but they have each other!
And Ter has a sister and a mom rooting for them as the mom wears Hill's blue, and the sister is basically a Pride flag.
Plus Hill's grandma is not only supportive, but she kept the blue birthday jar Ter gave Hill in his room, so the women in these families are getting a spring wedding from these two even if Hill and Ter don't know it yet.
But I think these color-coded boys in love know it.
Well, at least Hill does.
Because his grandmother gave him the same necklace that his dad gave his mom when he knew she was the one.
And Hill has always known this pretty boy is the only one for him.
Sidenote: I actually gasped at how beautiful and young Cooheart looks here. That twenty-eight year old does not look a day over seventeen.
Kudos, Yellow Yal, for being the sun in Hill's blue sky, the star guiding him at all times, and the moon in his dark night. Way to be that man's everything, so now he can give you everything (like a bouncy castle!).
And even if Johan and North never get married, I'm sure they will be together forever too.
Since North probably already unknowingly signed no less than sixteen documents that Johan had his lawyers draw up which makes it legal for Johan to own North in at least twenty-three countries regardless of martial status and escape is punishable by death so . . . 'til death do you part, North. Congratulations, buddy!
Basically, every color-coded boy in love got his happy ending, and I was thrilled to witness it.
NOW BRING ME PART TWO!
#fourever you#color coded boys in love#spoilers#fourever you spoilers#the colors mean things#fourever you project#fourever you the series#episode seventeen#finale#I enjoyed this journey#and I'm looking forward to the next part#I'm a sucker for color coded boys in love who get happy endings#the love was never doubted#and that makes it easier to root for them even when the pacing is wild

it is really a lot to interact with the crows in datv right after replaying dao, like walking around their cute hideout where they all exchange kind words while getting flashback to zevran’s dialogue about them. but at least, i can tell myself that it’s because we are with the grandson of the godmother of the whole thing, and we’re seeing the highest level people and not the lowly little assassins they buy and exploit
but they really did that with every faction, making sure to proactively explain away any potential moral quandary these factions might face... like why does isabela talk like her lawyer is watching her through a sniper rifle lens
#datv spoilers#starting to feel like im taking place in pr for evil organizations#like tour our factory : we hire NO children 😊 NO lethal incidents 😊 ever

I just. I love the party I DM SO much. They're ridiculous. You know how some parties are murderhobos? Mine are litigation hobos. I think this is because the clorcerer is a former IRL lawyer and his IRL wife started out playing a fiend-pact fire genasi warlock. Her pact was negotiated by Daddy's Lawyers. And since we've established she has access to a pack of infernal attorneys, this has become their go-to.
They got Mammon and Asmodeus arguing over an infernal FDIC situation.
They brought formal charges against the Grand Vizier of the City of Brass.
They stole the Tamlin (hereditary title) from the Queen of Air and Darkness by getting her tangled in a custody dispute with Hell over his soul. The Janet Precedent has been invoked. (Asmodeus is going to notice the repeated chicanery at some point.)
The genasi is going to help our Fairy wizard depose his lightly despotic archfey father by seducing the man and then taking his kingdom and his heir in divorce court.
They're working on ousting a dragon from her involuntary indenture as a museum curator/collection object belonging to a Dao and I suspect contract law will be involved.
I will not at all be surprised if the Warforged decides to somehow seize the patent for his manufacture from the Noble Dao who holds it and liberates his siblings that way.
Just. These litigious bastards. They're ridiculous. I adore them to bits.
#dnd#they're all fucking unhinged#the druid is just here to Fuck Dragons she's collecting them like pokemon#I swear their approaches to problem solving are either 'lawsuit' or 'woe; kobold swarm be upon ye'

I've been having a lot of thoughts about magic in Dragon Age:
So mages in Dragon Age seem to have spell books right? Merrill mentions that Anders has a grimoire, Flemeth has one, the mage enemies in Inquisition have them, etc. So it stands to assume that most mages have them (maybe not lifelong apostates like the Hawkes but circle mages for sure, right?)
I think these spell books are a compendium of instructions for many spells that mages CAN learn and cast, not just the ones they already know how to cast.
Like in world leveling up would just equate a mage getting time to memorize new spells so that they could cast them without needing to look at the book (aka the instructions).
I think mages can cast most spells if they have their spell book with the instructions for the casting of the spell available. Obviously some people are going to struggle with certain schools of magic even if they have instructions for it (my warden is hopeless at casting entropy spells).
And then they have a core set of spells that they know well enough that they can cast quickly and easily in things like combat or emergencies (aka the spells on they have on their hot bar from leveling up).
So mage spell books are basically their vast collection of notes from years of apprenticeship and further study as an enchanter (for circle mages) or notes on spell casting that they've figured out themselves or learned from others (for apostates and such).
I also like to imagine that spells aren't as rigid as they are in, say, d&d. Mages can essentially twist reality to their will, which I feel lends a lot of mutability to the magic use. So while there is a template for certain spells in books, everyone is going to cast the spell a little different and each casting will probably be different based on what the mage wants the spell to do.
Like how DA2's cone of cold is a wide swath of ice spikes to impale enemies vs DAO's cone of cold being a concentrated and controlled blast that freezes enemies solid. I think mages can do both of these and more depending on what they want the spell to do/ what they need it for in the moment.
So compared to d&d where a spell like fireball is always going to have a 150 ft range, 20ft radius, do 8d6 damage etc. things are a lot looser. Mages draw on the mutability of the fade and bring it into the real world to cast spells, so it makes sense that spells are inherently mutable.
So the best mages are more like sculptors rather than rules lawyers :3
#dragon age#dao#da2#dai#dragon age origins#dragon age 2#dragon age inquisition#sorry if some of this doesn't jive with canon- I'm coming back after a 5 year break from playing these games so my lore might be rusty 😅#Meg's grimoire is scribbly and has lot of doodles in it#studying and copying doen spells for hours on end is boring work so you get little dragons squished in between the spells

Silicon Valley Bank failed this year because it bought too many Treasury bonds; surely it didn’t intend that to be a big risk. If you get rid of all the risk-takers at a bank, then there will be no one left who is good at taking risks, but the bank will still be taking risks. You have to strike the right balance.
and
But also it was just a big factual mistake! Crypto and DAOs and web3 were not a new way of organizing human economic behavior; they were an old way, the general partnership. They were a technological step backward: Ages ago, lawyers and financiers and governments figured out a new way to organize human behavior, the corporation, which allowed people to pool their capital in a new venture in ways that limited their risk and thus encouraged more and safer capital formation. And then crypto came along and people forgot.

How Smart Contracts Work: A Simple Guide for Everyone
Introduction to Smart Contracts Smart contracts are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement directly written into code. They run on blockchain technology, which means they are decentralized, transparent, and immutable. Originally conceptualized by Nick Szabo in the 1990s, smart contracts have become the backbone of numerous applications in the blockchain ecosystem, particularly on platforms like Ethereum, where they were first fully realized. How Smart Contracts Work Imagine a vending machine. You put in money, select a product, and the machine automatically dispenses your item. Smart contracts work on a similar principle but with more complexity: - Code as Law: Smart contracts follow "if-this-then-that" logic. Once deployed, the code cannot be changed, ensuring that the contract executes exactly as programmed. - Decentralization: They eliminate the need for intermediaries like banks or lawyers, reducing costs and increasing efficiency. - Transparency and Security: All transactions are visible on the blockchain, and due to cryptographic security, they are incredibly secure against fraud. Use Cases of Smart Contracts - Decentralized Finance (DeFi): From lending and borrowing platforms to yield farming, smart contracts automate financial services without traditional financial institutions. - Supply Chain: They can track products from origin to consumer, automatically verifying and recording each step, which enhances transparency and reduces fraud. - Real Estate: Property transactions could be simplified with smart contracts, where ownership transfer occurs automatically upon payment. - NFTs and Digital Ownership: They manage the ownership and transfer of unique digital assets, ensuring authenticity and provenance. - Voting Systems: Could potentially eliminate election fraud by providing a transparent, immutable voting record. Challenges and Considerations - Code Vulnerabilities: The DAO hack is a famous example where a smart contract's flaw led to significant financial loss. This underscores the importance of thorough auditing and testing. - Legal Recognition: While smart contracts automate execution, their legal status can be murky. Not all jurisdictions recognize them as legally binding contracts. - Scalability and Costs: On networks like Ethereum, the cost (gas fees) and speed of executing complex smart contracts can be prohibitive during high network congestion. The Future of Smart Contracts The potential for smart contracts extends far beyond current applications: - Integration with IoT: Smart contracts could automatically trigger actions in the physical world through IoT devices, like releasing a rental car once payment is confirmed. - Cross-Chain Operations: With advancements in blockchain interoperability, smart contracts might soon operate seamlessly across different blockchains, enhancing their utility. - Mainstream Adoption: As blockchain technology matures, expect to see smart contracts in more everyday scenarios, from legal agreements to automated payroll systems. Conclusion Smart contracts stand at the forefront of a revolution in how we think about agreements and trust in digital transactions. While there are hurdles to overcome, their ability to provide security, transparency, and efficiency makes them an invaluable tool in the digital age. As technology evolves, so too will the sophistication and integration of smart contracts into our daily lives, potentially reshaping the very fabric of contractual agreements and trust mechanisms in society. Settling Scores in the Blockchain Age: Web3 Arbitration & Mediation Explained
Introduction
Web3, a blockchain-based decentralized internet, has recently emerged, revealing many new possibilities. From play-to-earn games and virtual land ownership in the metaverse to the flourishing NFT market, Web3 is a digital frontier filled with possibility. Nevertheless, arguments are bound to arise due to venturing into uncharted territory.
As in the real world, disagreements might emerge in the Web3 environment. Finding your way through disputes involving stolen NFTs, virtual land purchases that don't work, or play-to-earn games that break the contract can be overwhelming. Fortunately, conventional legal action isn't your sole choice. Web3 arbitration and mediation are two of the creative dispute resolution options offered by Web3.
Extending Beyond the Jury System
In Web3 mediation and arbitration, the previous rules are null and void. Envision a system that encourages openness, immutability (the ability to not alter records), and community involvement. That's the essence of Web3 conflict resolution. Here's what sets it apart:
Smart Contract Law
Gone are the days of lengthy contracts. In Web3, the terms of agreements can be encoded within smart contracts – self-executing algorithms on the blockchain. These contracts can automate certain aspects of conflict resolution, like commencing mediation or releasing monies held in escrow upon a settlement.
Decentralized Arbitrators
Ditch the expensive judicial battles and exorbitant lawyer expenses. Web3 arbitration leverages a pool of validated community members or even AI-powered algorithms to act as arbitrators. This assures a neutral and maybe faster resolution compared to regular courts.
Tokenized Incentives
Web3 thrives on a collaborative spirit. Participation in the arbitration process might be motivated via crypto tokens, rewarding people who contribute to fair and efficient dispute settlements.
The Benefits of Web3 Dispute Resolution
Web3 arbitration offers a variety of advantages over older methods:
Cost-Effective
Web3 arbitration is supposed to be a more cheap approach to resolving conflicts. By taking out intermediaries like lawyers and court expenses, the procedure becomes much cheaper.
Faster Resolutions
No more waiting years for a court date. Web3 arbitration can expedite the process, offering swifter solutions. Disputes might be resolved in weeks or even days.
Transparency and Immutability
The entire arbitration procedure is recorded on the blockchain, a tamper-proof public ledger. This promotes transparency for all parties involved and removes the danger of records being manipulated.
Community-Driven
Web3 arbitration uses the power of the metaverse community to resolve conflicts fairly. Disputes are decided by individuals familiar with the special protocols and conventions of the Web3 area.
Web3 Mediation
While arbitration entails a binding decision given by an arbiter, Web3 mediation offers a more collaborative approach. A neutral third party, the mediator, encourages conversation between the opposing parties, directing them toward a mutually accepted conclusion. This strategy can be particularly effective for preserving relationships among the close-knit Web3 groups.
The Future of Web3 Dispute Resolution
Web3 dispute resolution is still in its fledgling phases, but it holds great promise for the future of the decentralized web. As Web3 continues to improve, we can expect to see significant advancements in:
Standardization of Rules
Developing clear and defined rules for Web3 arbitration and mediation will create a more predictable and efficient framework for dispute resolution.
Integration with DAOs
Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) – community-run entities on the blockchain – can significantly develop and implement dispute resolution procedures within their ecosystems.
Development of Specialized Platforms
Dedicated web3 online arbitration and mediation systems are emerging, offering faster processes and user-friendly interfaces for settling disputes inside the Web3 environment.
Conclusion
Web3 dispute resolution promises a paradigm shift from the existing judicial system. With its focus on speed, affordability, transparency, and community involvement, it gives a compelling alternative for settling scores in the blockchain age. As Web3 continues to expand, web3 online arbitration and mediation services are positioned to become the go-to solutions for resolving conflicts within this fascinating new frontier.
