#DAD STAN IS BEST STAN HE'S SO QUALITY

so i finally got the chance to read the book of bill! and man those journal 3 pages, i could write a million essays on those, but the principle one that i can't get out my head is the new insight on ford's whole fucked up paradigm of what love is
like, neither of the stan twins really know how to experience unconditional love, because they never really had it. their dad was constantly comparing the two of them and really just stamping down stanley's self worth at any given moment. and even for ford who was praised, he's not an idiot, he saw how stan got treated all the time, and their dad was very explicit as to why. ford's praise and attention hinged on him being the family genius who could make them all a lot of money, and he knew very well if he failed to live up to that, he would also lose his father's love
and you see this in stan in his desperate need for everyone to like him, but also how he doesn't really believe anyone ever truly could love him, so whenever he gets the chance with anyone he clings onto that relationship as tight as he can, terrified it's going to disappear at any second
ford, meanwhile. the more direct threat to him was the bullies and the people that made him feel lesser for being abnormal. and no kid likes feeling like that, we know it's a spike buried deep in his psyche, which gave him a reason for the dichotomy he ends up forming.
when he was a kid, people tended to fall into two categories - those who were really impressed with him and his potential, and those who saw him as a freak and wanted to drag him down for it. the love he got and the hate he got are directly related to both.
and as a result ford is constantly looking for people who will give him intellectual gratification (what he thinks love is), and he categorises everyone else as "unimportant obstacles in my way" (because that's how he thinks about those bullies, so their words won't hurt anymore)
stanley was the first category, until he sharply became the second
and splitting the world into those two categories makes him an absolutely horrible person! like, one hand yeah, you do have sympathy for ford bc that is straight up torture bill put him through and no one should have to experience it (and i do wanna make clear this is not a ford hate post, he does have good qualities im just interested in the bad rn)
on the other hand though, god, i'm always struck by just how hateful he is towards so many unimportant things (just one of many examples, christmas songs are fake and stupid bc rudolph didn't burn santa's workshop to the ground as revenge for ostracizing him like jesus christ dude)
or the bit where he sees one of stan's shitty product ads and considers calling him and pretending to be a cop just to scare him, because in ford's mind that's a punishment he deserves for daring to look so stupid while sharing ford's face
and it just drills in how much ford is not willing to see stan's side of this in any way, because what do you think would happen if you went through with that plan? don't you know stan's already scared enough? you saw him get kicked out, you saw the ultimatum that came with it, and hell thanks to the book of bill we know you were also scared to go home until you had something to show for it. he's trying his best, and you understood that once. but then stan throws your journal back in your face and you yell that you're giving him the chance to do the first worthwhile thing in his life.
everything he did to try and make something of himself, to try and prove himself worthy of literally any love at all, you didn't care about that. now he's in a position to help you, so of course he should just drop everything and obey your orders to the letter without question. that's the only way to redeem himself for getting in your way, why won't he take it?
by the time bill shows up ford felt fully justified in going "this isn't about me, and therefore it's stupid and unimportant and should be destroyed". and i know exactly why, it's because again you think intellectual gratification and love are the same thing and you're running low on both right now so you're trying to make up the difference by affirming how right you are in your goddamn diary, but right does not make you good or kind or wise
and that makes it kind of a self fulfilling prophecy, because loving you is hard, and the one person genuinely willing to do so unconditionally you're keeping at a very aggressive arms length. but you fall for bill so easily, because he understands how important you are, which must be love, and all of these other people worried about you just aren't smart enough to get it
and not even realising bill's lies could cure him of that one. hell, 30 years spent dimension hopping didn't cure it. when ford gets back he is still just as self righteous, and still willing to categorise dipper as "will give me intellectual gratification" and the rest of them as intrinsically less valuable
which is why dipper can't take the deal ford offered him. if he had, he would have turned out exactly like ford, stuck in his own echo chamber unable to tell the difference between love and praise
mabel says at one point in the comics that the reason the two grunkles are bad at looking after kids is because they still are kids, and that's a really accurate insight. that old wound cut so deep neither of them had the chance to actually move past their childhood, and discover what it was they were missing
stan never stopped wanting his brother back, but ford didn't realise that was what he needed too, until he saw mabel and dipper working as a team against bill. he's acknowledged his mistake in trusting bill before now, but "we used to be like that" is his first time acknowledging that his whole approach to people is wrong.
you've always had one source of unconditional love. you didn't need to be better than him to be worthy of it. and now you've got an entire new family, hopefully you'll realise that can come from multiple fronts
(and it's okay stan shall have his revenge for how you treated him by commiting just. so much tax fraud in your name)
#i am the tiredsleepy so i apologise if this is rambly but i have Thoughts#gravity falls#stanford pines#ford pines#stanley pines#stan pines#bill cipher#the book of bill

Hear me out. Itachi is gives off such girl dad vibes. Especially Yakuza! Itachi. The moment he saw her in the hospital, he knew he couldn't walk away, but he also knew a child had no place with a man like him, yet the moment those innocent eyes landed him, full of curiosity his heart got captured. The baby's mother died during birth and there were no other relatives. The idea of his baby going into a frosting home is out of question and he takes the baby in.
- He becomes deeply attached and obsessed with her smell and her tiny hands become his number one weakness, especially when they reach for him.
- He gets the best quality products for his baby, blankets, nappies, milk formulas etc.
-he mentions to NO ONE he has a child. No one, the child's intendity is kept secret and so is her name.
While his daughter grows up she becomes a mini him, he teaches her strategy games like chess, etc.
He doesn't involve her in his line of shady work, but does teach her to defend herself and gets her weapons like a taser, pepper spray. Would kill any guy who hits on her.
When she gets older and starts working her first job, he buys the restaurant and transforms it into a more lavish one.
And ofc, being her father's daughter she gets accepted into Oxford.
I honestly feel sorry her for her first boyfriend, As Itachi ain't playing around and when she is out of sight he has a very "Deep conversation" aka him threatening the young man that if he does something to his little girl he will put a bullet in his head. Lmao.
i’m so so so bad at responding to shit on time i’m sorry but hello??? this is a divine piece of work??? T^T i am so into yakuza! itachi being so obsessed with a babygirl. i also stan itachi being a girl dad. there is just something about it that makes my ovaries scream & my heart flutter! ‼️🎀 imagine the girl being like, “dad when would you get me a mother” though? 👀

OK OKAY LISTEN TO THIS LISTEN TO MY WORD being friends with the main 4 but they give you princess treatment headcannons😋 😋🤭
─Headcanons─
main 4 x reader older ver.
hc; princess treatment from the main 4
cw; none ⤵
Out of all of them I think we all know who would be most caring and gently with you
kyle, duhh
or kenny 🤔
anyway
Being the only girl in the group it's kinda rough probably even humiliating but it's okay Kyle does his best to treat you well, helping with homework, buying you lunch, driving you anywhere you need to go, and making sure he listens to EVERY detail of the gossip you found out.
Basically like a boyfriend but just friends and no kissing 💁🏾♀️
I mean he still rips on you time to time, you're friends with those main 4 obviously but it's to a minimum.
If you just broke up with your boyfriend or girlfriend he's totally like "girl WHAATT, WHAT HAPPENED?"
then once you explain all in tears, snot coming from your leaky nose he brings you close gently rubs your back.
"awh it's okay, you'll be fine I didn't like them anyway.. wanna get ice cream and watch horribly made romance movies?"
you sniffled, nodding and leaning away from him. "Yeah.. I wanna do that.."
"Alright I'll get more tissues to clean you up, you are a hot mess right now."
"I JUST GOT DUMPED, OBVIOUSLY IM GONNA–"
"Tissues..right!"
He's like a mom lowkey when it comes to you
Okay I'm gonna say it right here and now cartman does not give two SHITS for or about you so don't expect much from him
I mean sometimes really random times he'll ask if you want to go get drinks and maybe get your nails done... but very rarely..
"hey fag, wanna go to the mall and.. like buy stuff, maybe get our nails done too?"
"cartman that's like hella faggy.. of course I wanna do that."
You guys go to the mall, look around shop a little here and there (with your eyes) since bro was NOT finna pay for your broke ass 😭😭😭
Jk he DID buy you like a jacket you wanted, only because it looked good on him so he was just like "what the hell?" And bought you it
but just so he can steal it from you
LMAO
He did spoil you with the pedicure though at least 🤷🏾♀️
hmm okay stan is soo silly
bro doesn't really care much
you wanna go get drinks, got chu
get wasted on a random Wednesday night? He'll sneak over with boos
you want his shirts to wear cause you think they are cool?
gives you some and some more just for the hell of it
you guys totally match on some days
pretty chill tbh, gives you mostly anything you want he's like the chill dad just drinks all the time
Cannot say the same to Kenny though 🤕
Doesn't have any money so he can't spend much going anywhere with you
But princess treatment isn't all about money sometimes!!!11!!!!
As your friend that's a GUYY he listens carefully to the things you complain about time to time, probably pitching in some things to fix your problems too.
I'd say he likes to braid your hair as you rant off
Take you on walks just to hang out
build some Legos together that he saved up with you 😭😭😭
Quality time is his specialty fr

LO Art Analysis (or: A Real Example of Why You Shouldn't Use Multiply for Everything)
I've obviously been spending a lot of time recreating LO art and in that time, I think I've really cracked open some of modern LO's problems with its art. This is a lengthy post so turn on some lo-fi, grab some popcorn and strap in.
One thing in particular that I'm very eager to talk about (and go off about) is Rachel's use of color language and shading.
THERE WILL BE BRIEF FASTPASS PANELS AHEAD IN THIS ANALYSIS. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
One of the key things that most people seem to agree on when it comes to LO's current art quality is the lack of color language. Back in S1, we had colors that seemed to jump off the page, with gorgeous rendering that created panels that were vast and beautiful to take in. It didn't matter if the anatomy was wonky or if the backgrounds were translated directly from Google Sketchup, the color and compositions made up for its flaws and created unique vignettes that individually contributed to what we found so special about LO back in those days.
That last one especially is still hands-down one of the most well-known and influential LO panels out of the entire series. Many a phone background its graced (my own included, I've literally had this as my phone background for like 3 years now) and it serves as a beautiful standalone example of the mood and emotions LO used to convey. You don't need to know the context of the scene, you don't need to know the characters, the mere posing and color choice alone is enough to invoke a reaction from the viewer. It doesn't even have a lot of shading or final rendering, the composition and texturing is all it needs.
So why does a simple panel like that work, but panels like these don't?
I have such beef with this panel because it does the complete opposite of what the famous Tower 4 panel achieves - it puts on full display everything wrong with LO's current art style, from its character posing to its color language aaaall the way to its final rendering.
First off, the character posing and framing. I finally figured out what RS' male characters have been suffering from lately, and it's a phenomenon that I'm sure many of you will be able to recognize right away.
Seth Macfarlane Syndrome.
You might not watch Family Guy, you might not watch American Dad, or the Cleveland Show, but you'll know exactly what I mean when I talk about Seth MacFarlane Syndrome. It's the stiffness, the lack of movement or bend in joints, the boring posing of characters standing with their arms flatly at their sides and their entire body facing the same direction, eyes unblinking - and when they speak, heads slightly tilting, mouths always being conformed to the same default shapes, while the arms do something random and unrelated to create the illusion of natural movement.
This has been an issue in LO for a while now, incredibly flat posing that lacks any sort of dynamic curvature to it, but it's best exemplified by that Ares panel above because holy shit does he ever look like Stan Smith in it. Boxy shoulders with arms that appear to be WAY too short hanging off the side, elbows flattened, hands straightened out, no natural shaping whatsoever.
But that's not the crux of the issue I want to touch on today.
No, the worst offense of this panel is that it indirectly proves what I've been suspicious of for a while now.
To explain real quick for context, there's this thing in digital art called Blend Modes. It's essentially a basic function in digital art that allows you to change the properties of layers for the purpose of shading, rendering, whatever have you. Most of these Blend Modes are the same across all digital art programs, things like Multiply, Screen, Color Dodge, etc. are all fairly basic tools in the digital artist's toolkit but all have an INCREDIBLY high ceiling of mastery - meaning, blend modes are easy to use on a basic level, but require a lot of skill and understanding of color language to utilize to their full potential. Using them right can transform a passable piece of work into a great one - on the flipside, using them wrong can take a passable piece of work and piss all over it.
The one I want to focus on in this post is Multiply. I use this blend mode myself quite often, it basically 'multiplies' the properties of the layers below it, taking whatever colors are below and 'doubling' them to create darker tones. This makes it a go-to for shading.
But the issue with Multiply is that it often ends up being used when it's not supposed to be. Or rather, people starting out will often use it as a substitute for shading when you'd be better off using your own hand-picked colors. I've got characters with skin tones that I can shade with the same color set to Multiply, zero issues, because the base tone is one that doubles well, it creates a nice rich tone on top that's perfect for shading.
But do you know the one color that DOESN'T multiply well?
Yellow.
Yellow is NOT a color you can just multiply, not without the final result looking flat and almost putrid. Most people will thus recommend you shade yellow with other colors along the same side of the color wheel, including oranges and reds. This is precisely why knowing color theory is such an important skill even in digital art, because using Blend Modes improperly can create flat tones that can ruin a final composition.
Going back to that Ares panel...
Again, I've had this suspicion for a while, especially when looking at panels of Persephone (*pink is ALSO a color that doesn't multiply well)
So I put it to the test. I took the original panel, sampled the yellow, and overlaid it with Multiply to see what I'd get.
Fam.
That putrid deep yellow that I mixed above is literally NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS WITH WHAT I EYEDROPPED FROM THE PANEL. Copy and paste that and eyedrop it yourself if you want to see it with your own eyes. It's pretty obvious she did the same thing with Hera as well, you can tell her skin tone has been set to multiply and repainted with the same color, same as with her jacket.
They are using Multiply layers for everything as the default. This is not how Multiply is intended to be used - it's lazy shortcutting that's resulting in flat, boring, ugly compositions.
RS has stated herself that she 'changed' how LO is drawn to help 'streamline' the process for her assistants. This isn't streamlining. This is cutting corners.
Streamlining would be having color palettes to refer to during the coloring and shading process. I use them myself for characters that I CAN'T multiply-shade, I literally have characters whose skin tones are too light and yellow-toned for it - using Multiply would wash out their tones and make them look flat and sickly so I have to use a separate color from a different part of the color wheel to shade them (usually a darker tone of red/orange).
Rachel, babe, this isn't streamlining, this is just taking shortcuts to the point of sabotaging your own work. You can't sit there and tell me THAT looks good and is worth the 'streamlining' when panels like THESE used to exist:
Turn off the Multiply layers and color your characters for once, please, I'm begging you. This is such a rookie move for someone who claims to be a professional (and regularly brags about the awards she's won); not to mention a tragic fall from grace because we know Rachel can and has produced better work than this in the past. She knows color language, she knows how to paint, so why is she resorting to shortcuts like this? She has an entire team of people and yet she's still consistently behind enough in her buffer - or just doesn't care enough anymore - that she's resorting to lazy amateur tactics like using Multiply for everything.
And on the off chance that she ever sees this, Rachel, it's not even that hard to use proper colors. You've done it before, you should already have the color palettes available to you.
(P.S. One handy-dandy experiment to tell if your Multiply layers are failing you is the desaturation test. You'll notice that drawings being made primarily with Multiply layers will look a lot 'flatter' when desaturated, because the shading is just the same color on top of itself and 'doubled', there isn't any actual value or depth in the shading itself. These are the exact same panels I showed before, RS' on the left and mine on the right, they've just been desaturated to show the difference that proper color choice can make when defining values and tones in shading!)

fic rec friday 15
welcome the the fifteenth fic rec friday! where, on friday, i rec five of my favourite fics.
1. there, nestled against his pulse by @hiuythn
stop why are you doing this to me stop it stop it stop--
klance soulmate au where your right wrist has the first words your soulmate says to you, and the left holds the last words they'll say to you. super sad, so much angst, and i've been informed it'll make you sob until you choke.
1. there, nestled against his pulse (the main story, from Keith's POV) 2. this is what love looks like: (tnahp from Lance's POV + 38k of sequel content) 3. roll credits (deleted/extra scenes and additional headcanons)
okay. i am so desperately obsessed with this fic, i was obsessed with it the first time i read it and im obsessed with it now. and yes i know i did all hiuythn fics last week and i promise i wont this week. BUT i have a set of comments associated with this fic bc it is Just That Good and so i shall present them to u now:
- literally the funniest characterization of shiro i’ve ever read. this shiro is gay and tired. this shiro unironically and frequently says “move. i’m gay” and gets away with it at the garrison. this shiro has been through A Lot and just wants to fucking retire - allura here is so so funny she’s such a badass. she’s giving “i love shiny things! like the shine of your spilled blood on the floor if you say that dumb shit one more fucking time!!” we stan a queen. - coran is a Mood. this man is desperately trying to reign in four teenagers and two young adults and just wants to go to bed and also he cares for them all so so much. ultimate dad - pidge is Mischief Personified. she is a brat and i adore her. she’s here to cause problems and by god she will succeed - hunk is so done it’s so fucking funny. “that’s literally impossible.” he’s a genius and he knows it, he’s glad to call you out on your bullshit. he doesn’t even TRY to pretend he can keep a secret and/or handle drama god what a mood - don’t even get me started on klance!! they’re so funny omg. the banter is EXQUISITE. lance and keith adore each other so much and they’re so badass. literally the coolest power couple fight scenes ever to be made, i do adore. gosh. and the ROMANCE they are so devoted to each other i’m emotional - honourable mention of lance’s legs and keith’a Soft Squishy Feelings that are mentioned so often that they’re characters. iconic. all in all, the best way to describe this series is Gay and Tired. i love it and i’m sad to see it end. i will be rereading it an embarrassing number of times. infinity/10
2. all the little things by @jilliancares
Or: 5 times Keith let Lance get away with things that he'd never let anyone else do, and 1 time Lance realized that he was, apparently, special
oblivious lance will always be funny to me. and the idea of keith just letting lance get away with Everything and Everyone knowing how whipped he is except for lance himself?? peak humour. never not funny
3. Full Disclosure by @dragonomatopoeia
Keith is impulsive and straightforward when it comes to most things, and emotions are no exception. It's no surprise, then, that when he realises that he might have developed a crush on Lance, he tries to tell him immediately. Unfortunately, it's very hard to account for both circumstance and who Lance is as a person.
Alternatively: Four Times Keith Tried to Confess and One Time Lance Actually Understood
more 2016 eliteness!! this fic is hilarious. and also its number one selling quality is that all of the characters are trans and nd i literally love that for them. nonbinary hunk loml
4. catch me, before i fall by @pastelrainbow
‘We are a good team.’
Even now, just recalling the way Lance had smiled as the words left his lips, made Keith’s heart race and his cheeks redden. Lance had never looked at him so fondly before. No boy ever had. The thought of it made a sigh escape his lips and Keith hunched his shoulders, a pout tugging his lips downwards.
Curse my weak gay heart.
-
a what if keith caught lance outside his cryo-pod.
the idea of keith being a suave casanova with more game than aphrodite herself but immediately going bright red and hissing when shiro teases him. peak dynamic. absolutely nailed siblings
5. of demons and dates by spartona (faveour)
Three times Keith scares Lance shitless with his ghost shenanigans, and one time Lance tries to retaliate.
first of all. BFU KLANCE BFU KLANCE BFU KLANCE. second of all. the “we’ve BEEN dating u dumbass ily” trope is so funny to me. i will never get over it
that’s it for today!! i’ll see y’all back next friday for the next fic rec post!!!
#actually lots of five plus one esque fics this week#bc i love them#ahem anyways#vld#voltron#lance#lance mcclain#keith#keith kogane#klance#team as family#fluff and humour#broganes#fic rec#fic rec friday#longpost

My thoughts on Flight of Icarus (so far!)
I finally got my hands on the book yesterday and also had time to read which hasn’t happened in a very hot minute.
These are just my first impressions, commentary, and takeaways from chapters 1-9.
More will come, but I am realizing that I have so much to say that I need to break it up ✨
I will start off by saying that I was skeptical, as all of us were, when this book was announced. Prior to reading it, I had been steering clear of spoilers and others’ reactions just so that I could go in completely unbiased and with an open mind and heart.
Within the first 10 pages, I was crying. Like, openly weeping. Something about Eddie talking first person about his childhood experiences and confirming what so many of us suspected hit me so suddenly. I was not prepared for the swell of emotions that bubbled over as a result of not only that, but reading his name printed on a real, hard bound book when I've only ever read it from a screen was something else as well. Something about it being officially licensed by ST and providing us with some concrete backstory (if we choose to take it) for so many things that we've been only speculating on for the last year and a half.
These are a few snippets that really had me going:
Anyway, I'm broken.
Onto the writing --
I genuinely think what I've read so far has been incredibly well-written. The first person narration sounds so much like Eddie, as does the dialogue. The insights and ways he describes things cleverly but also with that touch of dark humor that he deflects with so often is very present. I do feel like I'm stepping into his curly noggin and viewing the world through his bambi eyes. It's such a treat.
Also, I have noticed her using many words that he frequently uses in his limited dialogue on the show in her narration, the main one I can think of right now being "not exactly". It's touches like these that let me know how closely she's paying attention.
I am also impressed with the general quality of prose, how she seamlessly integrates setting and character description into the scene. Also clever and creative ways to describe objects that still stay very in character. This one stands out:
Also this. This hyper-awareness that his home life is different than his peers, something I try to illustrate in my own writing and appreciate that this author did as well:
As a writer, I learn so much from reading. I can honestly say that I am learning from this experience as well, and dare I say it, am inspired.
The chapter I am working on now for DSSCTM deals heavily with similar themes and questions that FOI covers, such as Eddie's motivations for staying in school, his relationship to his dad, and how he views himself. So I feel a lucky sense of coincidence that this book was released during the time I am writing it. I, like everyone else, invented my own backstory for his parents that suited the story I was trying to tell and will keep it for consistency going forward.
Characters that stuck out to me --
Gareth -- OH. MY GOD. BABY GARETH. Little fluffy ball of rage. I cannot. My heart is going to explode fr. Also the tenderness with which Eddie handles him is just too much for me.
Ronnie -- Stan her. You know, this character really makes me wonder how much of our fics the author has read because I feel like it is one of the most common and earliest tropes for our Reader characters to be best friends of his that grew up in the trailer park along side him. Maybe it's just an obvious trope? But interesting she included it. Also making her the book-smart one who's got a golden ticket out is another very common thing I see in our stories.
Chrissy -- I love the bit of backstory I've read so far and how sympathetic she writes her. I love that we get the whole scene of them before the talent show and them bonding for a short moment.
Al -- There aren't enough words for how big a piece of shit this man is. When he said this to Wayne I almost yeeted my book across the room. Nobody talks to Wayne Munson like this in my house. 😤
Paige -- Eh. Not sold tbh. Although I do appreciate reading through Eddie's first person narration about him having a crush on someone though. It's cute. Just the crush part, not Paige specifically. She's mid so far.
Principal Higgins -- I had to suspend my disbelief a bit for how strong he came on tbh. I mean, I think she made a somewhat believable case for his absolutely unhinged behavior but it still struck me as borderline unbelievable how Higgins spoke to Eddie like that. What it did confirm for me was something I had suspected from the beginning, which is that Eddie's dad never graduated high school. Also, I appreciate the question being asked about why he is still in school BUT my issue is that this question isn't as applicable in his first senior year as it is in his third. I think the author was trying to find a reason for Higgins to be asking it and had to dig a little to try and make it believable. It's a question I have asked myself, one that I had Teach ask him in the first chapter of DSSCTM, and one I will be exploring in ch. 16.
One final theme-related thing I noticed and appreciate:
How chapter 4 ends with his dad telling him to sleep on the idea of pulling off a heist with him and chapter 5 begins with "The question is pretty simple. At the end of the day, who do you want to be?" and proceeds to a scene of him building a character with Gareth. Likewise in real life, Eddie is figuring out who he wants to be, and I think using this as a metaphor is really clever and beautiful.
ALSO. A theory. Illian died right? Illian wasn't Gareth's he was Jeff's. What if this is alluding to the possibility of another character we all know and love who supposedly died in canon to be able to come back and re-invent themselves? 👀
Could just be my delusional ass reading into this way too much but it was just a thought I had.
Anyway, onward. ✨
#flight of icarus#eddie munson#stranger things#please tell me your thoughts!!#I wanted to just have a place to dump all mine but also want to start a dialogue!

Foster Ford AU prompt: little Ford interacting with Shermie? Alternately, him interacting with a Mcgucket sibling.
I went a bit nuts writing this. It's so much longer than I planned, but I just had to put in as much Quality Shermie Content as I could. Enjoy.
———————————————————————————————————–
“Hey, Ford.” Ford looked up from the catnip mouse he was using to play with Dr. Whiskers. Stan stood before him, grinning. “Wanna go get donuts?” Immediately, Ford’s stomach rumbled. Stan laughed. “I’ll take that as a yes.” Ford stood and threw the catnip mouse. Dr. Whiskers pounced on it eagerly, tail twitching with excitement.
“Is Aunt Angie coming with us?” he asked, following Stan to the front door. Stan shook his head.
“She’s got to work on her thesis. But we’ll bring her a donut back,” Stan said. Ford nodded. “Need help with your shoes?”
“They’re Velcro, so, no,” Ford mumbled, slipping on his sneakers. To his dismay, he was struggling with tying shoes properly, which led to favoring those without laces until his coordination became better.
“All right. If you ever wanna wear the ones you’ve gotta tie, I’ll help you,” Stan said. “Ford and I are heading out, Ang!” he called.
“Have fun!” Angie shouted back from the study she was working in. Stan held the door open for Ford. The two exited the house. Ford went to the Stanleymobile, but Stan shook his head.
“Nah, we’re not driving there,” he said. “There’s a great kosher bakery just around the corner. We’re gonna walk.”
“Oh. Okay.” Ford went back to Stan’s side. Stan raised an eyebrow at him. Reluctantly, Ford held out his hand for Stan to hold. The two then began to walk down the street. Stan and Angie lived in a much nicer neighborhood than the one Stan and Ford grew up in. The houses were tidy, the yards had picket fences, and there wasn’t a sickening smell when the wind blew just right. Stan nodded at various neighbors, asking how they were doing.
“I don’t really care much about these bozos,” Stan whispered to Ford after making light conversation with a middle-aged woman. “Most of them are pretty boring. But it’s always a good idea to make friends with your neighbors. You offer them help when they need it, then they’ll help you when you need it.” Ford nodded silently. “Angie tells me that I should be helping out of the goodness of my heart, not for my own gain. But we just had to agree to disagree on that one.” Ford giggled. Stan grinned.
They turned a corner and were promptly on a street lined with small businesses. Ford looked around, curious about the stores he hadn’t realized were so close by.
Then again, I’ve only been living with Stan and Angie for a few days. I haven’t had much time to explore, particularly because Stan and Angie have been keeping me close to home while I “adjust”. They arrived in front of a bakery. A sign in the window proclaimed that everything inside was kosher. Ford looked up at Stan curiously, remembering how he had specifically mentioned that at home.
“Do you keep kosher?” he asked. Stan looked down at him, seeming surprised.
Oh. Right. My first foster family was Christian and didn’t do much for me when I said I was Jewish. He probably didn’t expect me to remember much terminology.
“Uh. No. Not really.” Stan rubbed the back of his neck. “You remember some stuff about your dad, right?” Ford nodded. “Did he keep kosher?”
“…No.”
“Okay. Good. I mean, if your dad wanted that for you, Angie and I would do it, but it can be a lotta work. Especially since I gave up on that as soon as I could and Angie’s Catholic.” Stan managed a weak smile. “But the donuts here are the best in town. Also, we’re meeting someone who does keep kosher.”
“Who?” Ford asked. Stan pushed open the door. The bell over the door jingled merrily. Ford walked inside. He swallowed nervously when he saw the man sitting at a nearby table.
“You’re gonna meet your Uncle Shermie!” Stan said cheerfully. Shermie got up from the table and walked over to them. Ford quickly hid behind Stan’s legs. “Aw, c’mon, kid, he’s not scary!”
I don’t know if I can face anyone else from my past like this.
“Maybe this was a bad idea,” Shermie said. Stan shook his head.
“No, it’s fine. He’s just kinda shy.” He looked down at Ford. “Trust me, kid. Your Uncle Shermie’s a good guy.” Ford remained silent. “Wanna get a donut?”
“Yes, please,” Ford mumbled. He followed Stan to the counter. Stan ruffled his hair.
“I know you’re a bit nervous about meeting Shermie, but don’t worry. You know how I’m taking care of you because your dad can’t?” Ford nodded. “Well, Shermie took care of me when my dad wouldn’t. He did the same thing for me that I’m doing for you.”
“I guess that’s a good point,” Ford mumbled. He closed his eyes.
I’m here now, I just have to deal with it. I don’t have to engage in any conversation. I can just stay quiet and eat my donut. Hopefully, Shermie will be the only other person from my past that I have to encounter. Ford knew that Stan had completely cut contact with their parents, so the likelihood he’d have to deal with Caryn or Filbrick was negligible.
“Whattaya want?” Stan asked. Ford pressed his face against the glass display, taking in the options laid out before him. A strange sense of nostalgia washed over him. They had grown up down the street from a kosher bakery, and as such, this was far from the first time he had perused fresh donuts with Stan. He looked over and up at his twin brother.
But this is the first time this has happened with us twenty years apart in age. Stan smiled at him.
“Know what you want?” he asked. Ford looked back at the donuts.
“Blueberry sprinkle,” he said, pointing. Stan nodded.
“Good choice.” He looked at the young woman manning the register. “You heard the man, Carly.” The woman, Carly, giggled. “And I’ll take my usual.”
“Blueberry sprinkle and triple chocolate coming right up!” Carly said cheerfully. She grabbed the donuts for Stan. Stan handed over the cash. “So, who’s the kid?”
“My nephew, Ford.” Stan patted Ford’s head. “My twin, his dad, he, uh, he can’t take care of Ford right now, so he’s living with me and Angie for a while.”
“How long?” Carly asked. She gave Stan his change, which he tucked into his wallet.
“However long he needs to stay with us,” Stan said vaguely. Carly nodded, picking up on the hint that Stan didn’t want to talk about it. “What about Aunt Angie’s donut?” Ford asked.
“We’ll grab it on our way out,” Stan said. “Fresher that way.” Ford frowned.
I’m not sure if that’s true, but it’s not worth it to disagree. With their donuts in hand, Stan and Ford headed back to the table. Stan waited until Ford climbed onto his chair, then sat down on his own. Shermie smiled at Ford.
“So, Ford, tell me about yourself,” Shermie said. Ford looked down at his donut.
“Like what?” he mumbled, picking at his treat.
“Well, what do you like to do?”
“Um. Read.”
“What sort of things do you like to read?”
“Anything,” Ford said with a shrug. Stan snickered quietly.
“Anything except what a kid his age would normally read,” he corrected. “I’ve caught Ford going through Angie’s biology textbooks.”
“Really?” Shermie asked. “…Do you understand the things in Angie’s textbooks, Ford?”
“A bit,” Ford mumbled.
Just about all of it. But most kindergarteners wouldn’t. Ford pulled off a chunk of his donut and popped it into his mouth. I’m not used to hiding my intelligence like this. I can’t risk anyone being even more suspicious of me, though.
“Wow!” Shermie said. “You really are just as smart as your dad, aren’t you?” Ford shrugged again. “Other than reading, what do you like to do?” Ford blinked.
What do I like to do? I haven’t had opportunities to do much since moving in with Stan and Angie. He looked at Stan. Stan smiled at him in the way one does when a child behaves in an endearing way.
“You like playing with your LEGOs,” Stan prompted. Ford nodded.
“I do.”
“LEGOs, huh?” Shermie asked.
“Yeah. One of Angie’s brothers has a kid about Ford’s age who’s a little genius, too,” Stan said. “When we told him about Ford, he said we should get some LEGOs for him. It was a good move. Ford barely touches his other toys.”
Yes, because the other toys are embarrassingly juvenile! Ford couldn’t deny that some of the toys Stan and Angie had gotten for him were tempting, but he wouldn’t allow himself to be degraded to playing with them. Of the options given to him, LEGOs were the best by far. They weren’t just for children; Ford recalled his college roommate building things with LEGOs when he was bored. I didn’t realize Angie had a brother who recommended them. I owe him one.
“I’ll keep that in mind for future gifts, then,” Shermie said, winking at Ford. “When’s your birthday?”
“April 22nd.” It was a date with no significance to Ford. By the time CPS asked about his birthday, he had realized he wouldn’t be able to convince anyone of who he was. So he chose a random day off the calendar in the CPS official’s office, which had still been turned to the month of April.
“April 22nd. Got it.” Shermie grabbed a napkin, pulled a pen out of his pocket, and scribbled it down. “I’ll make sure to put it on the calendar. Though I imagine I won’t forget, since your Uncle Stan and Aunt Angie will throw you an awesome birthday party.”
Ugh. Hopefully things will be different by then. I don’t know if I can stomach being the center of attention at another children’s birthday party. The party his foster parents threw for his fifth birthday had been brutal for Ford, though everyone else seemed to have a fantastic time. Going to other children’s birthday parties was only marginally better.
Thankfully, after that, Shermie and Stan picked up on Ford’s reluctance to talk and the conversation changed topics. Ford listened silently to his brothers as he slowly ate his donut. Shermie and Stan seemed to have a much closer bond than when they were younger, though Ford supposed that came about when Shermie took Stan in. He wasn’t privy to the details. As a teen and adult, he’d purposefully avoided any updates regarding Stan, and as a child, he wasn’t going to be told much about Stan being kicked out while still a minor.
But Ford remembered the day Shermie found out what had happened to Stan. Shermie had dropped by to visit and asked where Stan was. When Caryn said he had been kicked out for ruining Ford’s science fair project, Shermie became irate and stormed out. From what his mom had told him, Ford knew that Shermie found Stan living in the Stanleymobile and insisted Stan move in with him. Not long after, Shermie got a job offer in California, so both he and Stan left. Anything after that, Ford was learning for the first time.
“You should take him to the coffee shop you met Angie at,” Shermie said.
Stan and his wife met at a coffee shop? How cliché. Though, I must admit, also adorable.
“I dunno. He’s already tried to sneak coffee from us a few times. Taking him to a coffee shop might be like an alcoholic going to a bar,” Stan replied. Shermie frowned.
“Mom did say that Ford was drinking a lot of coffee before he disappeared. I wouldn’t be surprised if his son managed to sneak a few sips while he was distracted.”
“That’s what Angie thinks.”
“Speaking of Angie, have you taken him to her work yet?”
“Not yet. But we’re gonna go tomorrow.”
“Excellent.” Shermie smiled at Ford. “Trust me, Ford, you’re going to love Angie’s work.” Ford looked down at the crumbs on the table from his donut.
“Where does she work?” he asked quietly.
“It’s a surprise,” Stan said. “But like Shermie said, you’re gonna love it.” Shermie looked at his watch.
“Shoot. I’ve got to get going.” Shermie stood up. “I’m going to grab a few donuts for Amelia and Caleb. Want to join me, Stan? You had to grab one for Angie, right?”
“Yeah. She won’t be happy if I forget,” Stan said, getting up as well. He looked at Ford. “Stay here. I’ll be right back.” Ford nodded silently. Stan and Shermie went back to the register. Ford strained his hearing, trying to eavesdrop on his brothers.
“I know you were worried about how well you’d be able to take care of Ford,” Shermie said to Stan. “But from what I can tell, you’re doing great.”
“Really?” Stan asked.
“Definitely. He trusts you enough to hide behind you and looks to you for help. Those are good signs, particularly from a kid who’s been through difficult things like he has.”
“Good.” Stan sighed. “He’s a great kid. I just wish his actual dad was here to take care of him.”
“Until they find him, you’re doing an amazing job,” Shermie said firmly. “And I think it bodes well for when you and Angie start having kids of your own.”
“We were originally gonna start trying pretty soon after Angie finishes school,” Stan said, “but we might put it off more if Ford’s still with us.”
“I see,” Shermie replied. “Don’t put your plans on hold for too long, though. You two deserve to start a family.” Ford stopped listening. Guilt suddenly squirmed in his gut.
Stan’s wanted to be a dad since we were kids. But he’s willing to wait for me? Ford swallowed. No. It’s all right. By the time Angie graduates, surely I’ll be my proper age again. The guilt didn’t go away, however. If anything, it got worse. The conversation Stan and Shermie had, where they referenced living together after Stan was kicked out, was replaying in Ford’s mind. If Shermie hadn’t taken Stan in, what would have happened to him? Nothing good. He was a teenager living in his car! Stan and Shermie walked back to the table.
“We gotta head back, Ford,” Stan said. “Angie’s gonna die of starvation if we don’t bring her a donut.” Ford managed a weak smile and slid off his chair. Shermie crouched down to Ford’s eye height.
“It was nice to meet you, Ford,” Shermie said. Ford impulsively threw his arms around Shermie, hugging as tightly as he could. Shermie, though visibly confused, returned the gesture.
“Thanks for taking care of Uncle Stan,” he mumbled.
“Family’s gotta help each other out,” Shermie said simply. He squeezed Ford. “That’s why Uncle Stan is taking care of you, now.” He stood up. “Don’t forget about the offer to babysit, Stan. I’d love for Ford to meet Amelia and Caleb.”
“We’ll let you know,” Stan said. “Say hi to them for me.”
“Say hi to Angie for me.”
“Will do,” Stan said. Shermie left. Stan turned to Ford. “I’ve got a very important job for you, okay?”
“What?” Ford asked. Stan held out the paper bag containing Angie’s donut.
“Carrying Aunt Angie’s donut back home and giving it to her. It’s a big deal, but I think you’re up to the task. Are you?”
“Of course,” Ford scoffed, taking the bag from Stan. Stan grinned.
“I knew you could handle it. You’re a good kid, Ford.” Ford smiled back at Stan. As Stan took ahold of Ford’s free hand and led him out of the bakery, a new feeling bubbled to the surface.
I feel…content. Ford looked up at Stan, who was whistling off-key while they walked down the street. For the first time in years, things between myself and my brothers aren’t complicated or difficult. A mutinous thought crossed Ford’s mind. When I tell Stan who I truly am, that’s going to change. Do I really want to tell Stan the truth, and lose everything all over again? Lose him all over again?

Wendy is SO under represented in the fandom!! Outside of her relationship with Stan at least, but I personally think she’s too interesting to be reduced to his future housewife (or just an obstacle for Kyle)!
Barely spoilers for EWILY under the cut, just including this in case anyone wants to go into the fic totally blind.
🏳️🌈 - Wendy is a severely closeted bisexual, with a strong preference for women. You’ll probably find that I head canon most of the kids as being either bi or pan, but with specific leanings to either end of the spectrum. Just some of my personal view on sexuality that I won’t get into here ahaha
🏳️⚧️ - Cis woman, though I do think she would lean into some degree of flexibility in her gender expression as she gets older.
🧸 - Wendy had a very happy and healthy childhood, all things considered. I do think she went through a phase of wanting a sibling when she was maybe 6 or 7, but filled that void pretty quickly via her friendship with Bebe.
👻 - Failure, and not being good enough. She’s constantly being made aware of what an uphill battle it will be to become a successful woman in our extremely patriarchal society, and she’s under a lot of pressure to prove herself. Truthfully, having to deal with Cartman has probably been great practice for her! But I think this fear also speaks to why she struggles to let Stan go; by not still trying to help him, she feels like she’s failing him.
🎶 - Though growing up Wendy listened to whatever was popular, as she’s gotten older her music taste has gotten a little pretentious. Lots of indie artists on her playlist, and I think she probably enjoys jazz and classical inspired sounds the most.
👽 - I’m not sure if it qualifies as a quirk, but Wendy does very few things casually. She’s the kind of person that will annotate a book she’s just meant to be reading for fun, with detailed analyses of the book’s themes and recurring metaphors.
💝 - Wendy is a mixture of quality time and acts of service. You may be able to gather why she and Stan break up so damn often.
🫂 - I think Wendy maintains friendships very well, and can jump social circles without much issue. However, her best friend in the whole world has been, and always will be Bebe. They’re pretty different people on the surface, but they have a bond that runs so deep it would be extremely painful to separate them.
💔 - She hides it fairly well behind a pretty smile and good grades, but Wendy is a MESS!! Like, if you guys think the Style angst in EWILY is rough, you just wait till I get around to writing Wendy’s side of the story. I-… don’t wanna say any more than that, heh.
🪢 - Wendy’s pretty close with her mom, but I think she’s not as close with her dad. Partially because he isn’t crazy about Stan (for understandable reasons) and partially because he strikes me as kind of a dick, in only the way that dads can be sometimes. They still love each other though, and their relationship will improve as she gets older.
📓 - I don’t get to explore this much in EWILY, but Wendy stays very busy! As I said previously she does read for fun, and she’s also a bit of a cinephile (something she and Stan bonded over, to an extent), but I also think she would participate in tons of other after school activities to keep herself occupied. Student government obviously, on top of cheerleading, field hockey, glee club, the list could go on. And of course, when she’s not doing all of that she’s hanging out with Bebe and the girls! Or Stan, I guess.
👗 - Dark academia queen, with a hint of twee I fear. Lots of pleated skirts and v-neck sweaters, Peter Pan collared dresses with tights, sensible sneakers or penny loafers. Hints of pinks and yellows, but her favorite color to wear is purple.
🔪 - Look, she can’t afford to get anything put on her permenant record so Wendy left her fighting days in elementary school. However she WOULD fuck a bitch up if tested, but nobody really messed with her after that whole fight with Cartman… and the, uh, entire war where she beat the shit outta several boys with her silly plastic sword.
🌟 - Wendy is very focused on proving herself, and I don’t think she truly stops to consider what it is she actually wants until she’s out of high school and able to thrive in a new and more comfortable environment. Her largest goal in life though is to make meaningful change that benefits humanity. Awww what a good kid.
🍫 - While not picky per se, Wendy does her best to be healthy. She’s a really athletic and busy person, so she gets up early to make herself a balanced breakfast and will sometimes bring her own lunch to school if what’s on the menu is particularly unhealthy. She does, however, never pass up Taco Tuesday.
🎭 - Being happy with Stan :-) And being straight :-)))))
❤️🔥 - As much as she tries to be highly logical, she’s a total hopeless romantic. Loves love, and loves to be in love. Sometimes it becomes a bit of a distraction for her, but she gets better at balancing these parts of her life with age.
💄 - I haven’t gotten a chance to post any of the sketches I’ve done of Wendy yet, but I picture her as being fair skinned with soft, delicate features. She’s pretty slender, and on the shorter side compared to the other girls. She also probably wears minimal makeup, maybe just some concealer to hide when she’s had a sleepless night. Oh, and she’s kept her hair pretty short ever since The Great Chop during The War of Trojans.
🖕 - Oooh Wendy is second only to Kyle in the anger department, let’s be so honest. And maybe Cartman? Though 9/10 times he’s the reason anyone’s pissed off in the first place, so we’re not counting him here. Wendy’s a passionate rager, meaning she gets pissed off about things that matter deeply to her, or when she sees blatant injustice in the world.
😬 - Aaahahaha, breaking Stan’s leg wasn’t great!! But, well, I think perhaps her most selfish move is yet to come. Stay tuned!
😶 - Sometimes when she’s sleeping alone she still cuddles with an old stuffed animal, especially when she’s feeling especially lonely (i.e. on the tail end of another messy breakup). She would never do this in front of anyone though, not even Bebe. She’s a little embarassed to show anything close to a sign of weakness, or a reminder that there’s still a little girl in her.
Whew!! Alright, I’m pretty sure I got them all, but let me know if I missed any! I really had to think about some of these, so thank you for giving me the chance to explore Wendy more than I’ve been able to!
Also, if you enjoy the way I write Wendy then hopefully you’ll enjoy a little something I’m cooking, just for her! (It’s in the crock pot though kids, slow cooking for as long as possible!)
Thank you for sending me more of these!!
#ask Asteria#AAAH this was so fun!!!#and it took me WAY longer than it should have ahaha#but I’m happy with what I got to explore#so thank you!#ewily#exactly where i left you#headcanons#wendy testaburger

Off Jumpol
Sweetheart please write a whole essay about him 😘😜
wellllll, if it's asked this nicely 😌 usually I try to contain myself but today you've enabled me :p here's why I believe off jumpol to be literally unmatched:
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
I've said it before, but being an off stan is like following a character in a series. just like khai in theory of love, off has had such an incredible character development which I've never seen for any other actor. his willingness to openly admit his changes & his past flaws is so damn refreshing, and if you're an off fan you can never be bored bc there is no status quo, off is always getting better & better <3
HONESTY
so I've said it before, but I like celebrities who seem genuine & real, and I don't think you get that more than with off. first of all, and that's a thai actor thing, I love his willingness to go out not always looking the best & just enjoying his life like real people do. but mostly I love how much off is himself 100% of the time: he's scolded nosy journalists & fans before, but is also not afraid to apologize like that one time fans kept screaming his name while he was talking to tay & he answered too harshly & took it back. but mostly I love how honest he is about his past & even his present, he's willing to admit he was a player during his uni days & regrets it, and he's willing to admit much he's changed. even though some people see him as cold & scary, if you follow off for more than one minute you'll know that off is pretty much an open book & really doesn't take himself too seriously. for example the interviewer for his iconic gq interview cover, said he was shocked to see off so down to earth & speaking about philosophical topics about his own life that he's reflected on a lot. and off's genuineness is for me his greatest quality.
KINDNESS
even though off is known for his bad mouth lol, he's genuinely the kindest person ever. there are many groups of people he's kind with, the first one being fans. having gone to events he's been a part of, I can safely say off is the only actor (unless joined by gun) who went out of his way to go close to fans & greet us. he often even stays after an event to go back out to greet fans for more than an extra hour! he doesn't need to do that, but he does it bc he truly values his fans greatly. him crying bc he was overwhelmed by his fan's love in y I love you says it all.
the second group is his fellow colleagues. many clips of off have gone viral with him helping his nong's cover up, etc. in awkward situations, and everyone at gmmtv considers off their dad, as countless pictures prove it :)
lastly, service workers. there are compilations of off thanking security guards at the many events he attends, even hugging them, and overall he always treats others with so much respect & kindness, which shows how down to earth he is.
TALENTS
now that we've discussed his personality, let's move on to off's talents. first of all, off has grown to be an excellent actor. his acting in not me was honestly so good it not only blew me away, but also made me so incredibly proud. I think one of off's best strength is his versatility as an actor, because now he can both SLAY emotional, angsty scenes, but since the beginning he's also been an incredible comedic actor thanks to the fact that man's naturally hilarious & improvises lines like no one else. in that sense, he honestly can beat a lot of actors considered better but who don't have as much versatility as him.
apart from acting, off also excells at hosting, be it variety shows like offgun fun night, friend drive or school rangers, or events & others. man can SPEAK, and be fun & entertaining like no one else, while also including guests so seamlessly.
off is also obviously a fashion icon, having both his fashion brand & being an avid fashion collector, so much so that series like theory of love & wolf used HIS OWN clothes for his character's wardrobes. off especially loves vintage & doesn't just shop big brand names but also goes to the chatuchak market to buy more hawaiian shirts. did I mention he's the ceo of wearing hawaiian shirts? bc he is <3
off is an artsy hipster type of guy, enjoying indie movies, taking pictures, going to galleries, etc. and I believe him to have a very artistic vision that is best exemplified by his brand land of something, for which the designs stand out SO MUCH from other thai actors' clothing brand. he's also a business man & has learned from his mistakes which makes him more careful & thoughtful when he invests now. ALSO he's obviously an incredible model & knows all of his angles, slay <3
LOOKS
obviously, off is hot as fuck. this is a shallow world, we have eyes, man's flabbergastingly gorgeous. but what makes off more special than the other handsome actors is of course, his iconic facial expressions. NO ONE can move their face like off does. his facial expressions are what made me fall for him bc they're one of a kind & no one can replicate them to the same extent. those expressions are also what made off's asshole characters like khai, por, etc. actually work by adding layers of cuteness to them. I also want to mention that off is not afraid to experiment with his look which is really nice & makes him stand out once again!
PROFESSIONALISM
lastly, bc I'm a busy gal & I need to cut this short, I think it's very important to mention off's professionalism. I think it's no coincidence a lot of directors envision him as first for a role, notably koo ekkasit for astrophile, fon kanittha for 10 years ticket & the snap25 team for the jungle. it's also to be noted that off creates good relationships with every co-star he has, and keeps those friendships for a long time. no one ever has anything bad to say about him, and because of his work ethics he manages to shine in the eyes of those who decide the faith of his career. and that makes me confident he'll keep soaring high :)

I think the reason why Hiveswap's managed to... in a manner of speaking, narratively succeed for me where most other parts of postcanon often partially fail or fail entirely, is because its contributions to canon are A. Largely subtle and B. Inform parts of canon previously seen by adding nearly unseen, yet tastefully added, backstory.
I keep coming back, emotionally, to Beta Roxy. In the pictures we see of her, we see, well, just Roxy. Probably not older than 19. She's not the best babysitter in the world (and clearly still has a drinking problem) but she's trying, and seems to be pretty earnest with the lot she's been dealt. She's essentially been forced into a solitary caretaker position for these sweet kids by her surrogate father at a shockingly young age, all while dealing with Skaianet stuff behind the scenes.
It, then, informs Mom Lalonde's apparent emotional distance from Rose, when one thinks about the implications of what Hiveswap's story may end with. Obviously Joey's been given a doomsday imperative to return to Earth... but given that we don't see a trace of the kids in HS proper, I think it's probable to assume they've... gone missing to some extent (the tiny insane speculative part of my brain wonders if they were going to tie it into HS^2 and that's one of the reasons among many others for the significant delay.) And the idea of losing these two kids she clearly cares about, and then once again having motherhood forced upon her by needing to care for Rose... well it gives some context as to why she's like that.
And obviously, the contributions to Jake Harley are both subtle and utterly bonkers: there are implications that he travelled to (or at least knew about) Alternia. His wild, jetsetting, child-abandoning ways are given a very personal touch. And one wonders if he sequestered Jade on an island so she wouldn't fall prey to the fate that befell two of his other children. But, as I think it best is, information on him is partially speculative. Doubtless more will be added to the story as time goes on, but hell, even in the span of two (and let's be honest, mostly the first) Acts, it's managed to add some much to the humanity and backstory of the mysterious guardians.
I think this stands in direct contrast to other parts of postcanon. While it also functions by backfilling, the Skaianet Files gives very little actual character to work with, functioning as mostly a series of offensive jokes and dull attempts at alt-history. Learning that Jake Harley is actually Barack Obama's grandfather tells us nothing. Learning that Jane Egbert was horribly in love with Stan Laurel and had a one-night stand with him creating Dad Egbert (sorry for polluting your minds people who haven't read the SN Files. My recommendation is do not.) Even setting aside the horrid antisemitism, what it gives us is... nothing. The characters in these stories don't meaningfully represent the echoes that the guardians had on the story. Pesterquest also tries to backfill, and it gets some things right, but ultimately the quality of the whole thing is fairly inconsistent just due to the variety of writers brought on, so it'd be pointless here to discuss the project's success on it as a whole (though I personally find a lot of the chapters weak in that regard.)
I don't know if I have any conclusion to take from this, besides saying that Homestuck's always given characters like the Guardians a lot of space, which functioned both thematically and emotionally. It's partially a story about not really knowing who you parents are, of finding out later bits and pieces through their kid selves, but never getting the whole picture. It keeps you guessing, speculating about what Could have been, leaves ambiguity for things like Bro's abuse to be brought into full light later on. I think a subtle touch is the key, and a lot of postcanon has been anything but subtle.

You hummed quietly as you pushed against the wheels of your chair. Approaching your best friend’s driveway was the only way you could hang out with him, seeing how inaccessible his front door was. If you thought too hard about it, it didn’t give you the best feeling in the world, so you tried not to.
You saw him sitting on the floor, sketching in his notebook somewhat mindlessly. Upon hearing your quiet hum, he flipped a few pages ahead to a blank one. Looking up at you, he squinted from the sun shining in his eyes but smiled.
“H-Hi (Y/n). You’re the f-first to get here so we can wait for everyone else.” He said, standing up and moving to the couch his dad had put in the garage a few months ago. He realized how much more inclined he was to hang out there now that he was friends with you.
His parents were lovely, but he started to pick up on the sudden stiffness and overall negative feelings you had when they said certain things. About how they were sorry and glad Bill was so kind, which he was. It was one of his greatest qualities, but it was as if they only thought he was your friend because he was so kind.
“That’s alright. What were you drawing?” You asked casually, backing your chair into the space of the wall that was just the right fit. You remembered when he moved aside a table so he could sit next to you. It was one of the moments that made you feel your heartbeat in your stomach, as he so often did.
“Oh, n-n-nothing. Just practicing shape l-language for objects.” He replied, sitting on the cushions in a way that made it easier to look at you.
“Really? What are you trying to learn to draw?” You asked. He shrugged.
“Nothing in p-p-particular. I just think it’s a g-good skill to have.” He replies, closing his sketchbook and setting it aside. You smile and nod.
“Do you know when the other Losers plan on joining us?” You asked leaning on the arm of your chair.
“Right now.” A voice called from behind. You looked over your shoulder to the garage entrance, watching Richie, Eddie, and Stan enter. You smiled and waved, which only Stan returned.
“What are we doing here? You never told us.” Eddie says, sitting on the far end of the couch. You were never sure why, but he always seemed much more tense. You could come up with a few reasons, but they weren’t good ones, and you hoped those weren’t the case.
“J-J-Just a movie night. I made popcorn and st-ocked the drinks.” Bill replied. You begin to self-propel toward the fridge in the far left corner of the room. You looked inside, seeing mostly cokes and water. You opted for the latter.
“Plus, if we run out, we can hop on (Y/n)’s wheelchair. They’re basically a bike.” Richie says with a snicker, placing both his feet on the back of your chair and causing you to become unsteady. You yelp in surprise, immediately swatting him off. You turn your chair to face him, a look of panic on your face.
“What the fuck Richie?” You shout. He raises his eyebrows.
“What?” He asks, lacking a single modicum of self-awareness. You’re so flustered and upset that you find it difficult to articulate your feelings. Bill stands up from the couch, stepping between Richie and yourself.
“Y-You can’t say shit like that Richie!” Bill exclaims, his ears turning red from anger as they always did.
“Why are you guys freaking out?” He asks, raising his arms in exasperation.
“C-Comparing (Y/n) to a bike? You don’t get why that’s f-f-f-fu-fucked up!?” He shouts, finding it harder to speak due to his anger.
“No? It was a good thing. Bikes are cool and they’d be helping us to the store.” He replied.
“It’s fine Bill. Don’t worry about it…” You mumble, trying to maneuver around him.
“N-no (Y/n) I am w-worried about it,” Bill says, turning to look at you. There was a look in his eyes that made you feel warm and safe.
“They said don’t worry about it so I think-“
“Fuck off Richie!” Bill yells as he whips his head around to stare at him, not a stutter in his voice. Richie backs away with his hands up in surrender.
“Whatever dude.” He mumbles, sitting next to Eddie on the couch.
You were thankful Bill was so quick to defend you, but the confrontation still made you uneasy and guilty. You wheeled your chair out of the garage and onto the driveway, stopping when you heard Bill coming after you.
“Where are you g-going? Are you ok-kay?” He asks, walking by your side. You sigh and stop wheeling yourself forward. You say nothing at first trying to figure out how to put your thoughts into words. Bill walks in front of you, so he can see you while you talk, a simple gesture but something so thoughtful.
“You’re the only one who treats me… Well, normal… Richie always has something to say, Eddie avoids me like he’s going to catch something and I just… I hate it.” You mutter, folding your hands in your lap. Bill sighs as he crosses his arms.
“I w-wish there was more I could do. I t-t-tell Richie all the time to quit his shit but he-“
“It’s not you Bill. You do more than enough. Sometimes it feels like you’re the only person I have in my corner.” You say, looking up to meet his eyes. He smiles, his eyes holding that same shine that made you feel so warm and safe.
“Y-You know, that’s exactly how I feel.” He replies. You tilt your head in confusion. Bill rubs his neck bashfully before shrugging.
“You’re the only one who ever t-tells them to stop making fun of my s-st-stutter. Sometimes it feels like y-you’re the only one in my c-corner.” He replies. You smile, a warm glow rushing to your cheeks.
“We can be in each other’s corner.” You reply, giddily grabbing his hand. It takes you a second to realize what you’ve done before pulling back.
“S-Sorry I was just-”
“No! It’s okay!” He grabs your hand again, this time intertwining your fingers. “I l-like being in each other's corner.”
“Pinky promise?” You ask, holding out your pinky. He chuckles and locks his pinky around yours.
“P-Pinky promise.” He replies.
“Now let’s go watch the m-movie. If Richie says anything else I’ll j-just kick him out.”
“Since when are you Mr. tough guy?” You ask with a giggle.
“S-Since I had to be in someone’s corner. I-it’s a tough job you know.”

The Gang In My Continuation Fic Explained
Most of these are based on how I read into the characters in both movies so clearly they are personal interpretation, you don’t have to agree with them. I hope you enjoy tho!
--------------------------
Marcus:
- Comes across as intimidating a lot mainly due to his appearance.
- Is actually a really nice guy, just typically really stressed out worrying about his kid (now kids), brothers, and their finances. He’s a bit silly in nature and protective, he loves taking care of others in any way he can.
- Has relaxed a lot after Sing 1 due to their debt being paid off (thanks Nana) and is mainly just focused on making sure his kids are happy and safe.
- Very much family oriented and spends pretty much every single moment of his day with his family. He doesn’t really feel the need to expand his social circle past this radius either, he just wants to be with his family.
- Decently overprotective of Johnny due to his mum dying when he was young (and him being his last piece of her) as well as Johnny’s struggles with both his health and social life as a child. He constantly is worried about his son and if he’s ok and happy, sometimes being overbearing without meaning to. He just wants his son to have a good life.
- He will primarily show affection in form of Acts of Service and Quality Time, but uses a lot of Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch (hugs, hair ruffling, forehead kisses) with his kids.
- Was disowned formally when he was 24 but had always had a horrible relationship with his birth family. He changed his name to Marcus when that happened.
- Out of the gang, he’s the mediator. He’s the bridge between Stan’s chaos and impulsivity and Barry’s bluntness and cool nature. He typically ends up settling their arguments and only propsed the idea of the gang out of necessity.
- Came out as Demisexual after doing research to support Johnny (who identifies as a Demiboy).
- Had a punk phase growing up which is wear his jacket (that’s now Johnny’s) originates.
- ADHD and struggles a lot with abandonment issues as well as rejection sensitive dysphoria. He is now in therapy though.
- Within the troupe, he’s closet to Rosita and Norman, mainly due to them taking care of Johnny while he was in jail as his son’s foster parents but also because of their more calm nature.
- The best way to describe him is: stressed, worried, and slightly overprotective dad.
-----------
Stan:
- Basically looks like a (very slightly) chiller version of a party loving college student.
- He’s always full of energy and down for whatever, even if it’s a bad idea. Very much a daredevil and adrenaline junkie, he’s never really been one for rules and is a trailblazer of his own path in life.
- A bit more obviously fun-loving compared to how he was in Sing 1 now, due to his debts being paid off (thanks again Nana) and his family’s relationships being on the mend.
- Spends a lot of times with his brothers and family, as well as being the social butterfly of the group and actually having a fair number of friends outside of it he hangs out with.
- Like Marcus, he is also a bit overprotective of Johnny (though definitely less than his older brother). However, he does also enjoy teasing Johnny constantly.
- Primarily shows affection to everyone through Quality Time and Gift Giving, even though the gifts are typically junk food that Marcus has banned from the garage for Johnny’s health apparently (Johnny and Barry appreciate these gifts).
- Was never close with his birth family and cut off contact when he was 20 to go to college with Barry, who had been his neighbor growing up and who he had considered his baby brother.
- Out of the gang, he’s the energy. He always wants to do something and is pretty impulsive. He was onboard with the robberies from the start and did bicker with Barry about wether or not they were nessicary for a while.
- Deliberately unlabeled about his sexuality and a huge supporter to his family when they came out.
- Still dresses like a university student with a lot of jerseys and a thrifted letterman as his style hasn’t changed since uni.
- ADHD and struggles with sudden changes in routine and rejection sensitive dysphoria. He is also in therapy now.
- When he met the theatre adults for the first time, he became fast friends with Gunter due to their similar personalities, but he is also decently friendly with Buster as well.
- The best way to describe him is: fun-loving, teasing, and energetic uncle.
-----------
Barry:
- Comes off as rude a lot due to how quiet he is and very few facial expressions in public.
- While he is very blunt in both nature and speech, Barry is very passionate about things, just isn’t one to use a lot of things to express that. He is also highly intelligent and is on track to get his doctorate degree.
- He has started to focus more on getting his degree compared to Sing 1, now that he has time since he isn’t constantly working due to debt (Nana is a godssend).
- Prefers to spend any time he’s not with his family alone, is the exact opposite of Stan in this case. However, this rule is a way to see if Barry considers a person family as he does not really see people as friends. They’re either family or strangers.
- He is somewhere in-between Marcus and Stan’s levels of overprotectiveness of Johnny. He is the closest to Johnny out of him and Stan and has been the boy’s confidant since he was little, so he typically knows more about the situations that the other two. He does also join Stan in teasing Johnny though.
- Primarily shows affection through Quality time, particulary in the form of body doubling. The only exception to this rule is Johnny (who he does have a soft spot for) and will occasionally use Words of Affirmation or Physical Touch (mainly short hugs).
- Was raised in a group house in foster care and never really connected with anyone there. Has no contact with anyone from his birth family either.
- Out of the gang, he’s the voice of reason. he protested the robberies in the first place and was the one to insist on them learning medical training first. He’s the direct contrast to Stan.
- Has been out as bisexual since grade school and was bullied for it for awhile before Stan stepped in. Was the first to put together that Johnny was gay and supported him.
- Was the quiet kid throughout school and still dresses in a lot of his old hoodies (the others now belong to Johnny as they are the closest in size).
- Autism and can go mute at times. He struggles a lot with social cues and social norms, typically needing Stan to interpret, and overstimulation as well. He is also in therapy.
- Unsuprisingly to his family, he isn’t really close to any adult member of the troupe. He’s always struggled with connecting with people. However, he is fond of Rosita due to how much she helped Johnny while they were in jail and will occasionally play games online with Eddie.
- The best way to describe him is: blunt, straight-forward, and protective uncle.
#sing#sing 2#sing the gang#sing marcus#sing big daddy#sing stan#sing barry#my favourite dad and uncles <3#they all are extremely protective over johnny#stan is the fun uncle#barry is the favourite uncle#they argue over which is better#Marcus is a good dad y'all#i will die on that hill#actually i should do an analysis of his actions in sing 1 and 2#ok i'll start planning for that#stan is most like marcus while barry is most like johnny#they're lovely and full of found family vibes#*holds gently*#i love these idiots so much#sing headcanons#stan and barry are essentially older versions of johnny and nooshy#sing johnny (only mentioned)

If you have to rake all the season of American, dad which season is the best
Oh geez there’s a lot that would go into something like that, I’d have to do a full rewatch of the show. How about a top ten list of the best episodes instead?
1. Jeff Space Arc (Lost in Space)
Jeff Fischer remains the most earnest character in American Dad. While every other member of the smith family is inherently selfish to some degree or another, Jeff is defined by adoring his wife Hayley and loving her family dearly. The Jeff in Space arc is a culmination of this, with several episode dedicated to his journey from space to home after being taken by Rogers people. The episodes are funny and contain a special kind of heart really only reserved for Jeff. The best of these episodes is Lost in Space where his love for his wife is directly called into question and proven without a doubt, but really any episode in this arc is worth a watch.
Cry Baby
Stan Smiths emotional volatility is something the show loves to toy with in its later seasons, and this is one of the funniest. When Stan can’t cry he’s passed up on a mission, so to learn how he enlists his son Steve to teach him empathy. Only to realize that having empathy is too much for him, at which point he tries to remove Steve’s. This episode has nonstop great one liners and is constantly left turning into a new, unexpected joke.
Wild Women Do
Francine and Jeff are both the strongest characters in the Smith family. Francine is a wild card with a crazy past and Jeff is willing to go along with anything if asked. So there’s no better vehicle for fun than these two going out for a wild night on the town.
The Devil Wears A Lapel Pin
Hayley is a character who’s episodes can be hit or miss, but when the show focuses on her relationship with her father it manages to be pretty strong, and this is the apex. When Stan enlists Hayley’s aid as an assistant while making the CIA yearly calendar, Hayley uses it as a chance to get revenge on Stan for his refusal to show pride in her. Great episode, great comedy, and one of my favorite Jeff moments.
LGBSteve
When an all women roller derby team invites him to join their group, Hayley convinces him to join so she can have girl friends. But when Hayley gets jealous of Al the attention Steve gets and outs that he’s a boy, the rest of the team admit that they assumed Steve was trans causing Steve to question his own gender in a positive way, spending with the idea that Steve is comfortable identifying as male but is also comfortable have GNC qualities. It’s really fun and very sweet. Some really solid work on the trans journey and how questioning gender can be very healthy, even if you realize you’re comfortable being cis.
Rubberneckers
Toonrific Tariq once said that American Dads relationship with rap is so complicated it’s kinda impossible to talk about, and that’s certainly true of rubberneckers which is a musical episode featuring everything from R&B, to rap, to hip hop, to gospel style music all centered around the act of “Rubbernecking” and the consequences Stan facing after lying about the cause of an auto accident to his insurance adjuster.
Gold Top Nuts
American Dad pontificates on what it means to be human, to create a society, and to create religion. All with the express purpose of discussing why we can’t just forget the things people have done to us, but we can be kinder in the future and treat people better moving forward
Rabbit Ears
A classic Twilight Zone riff that’s just very solidly made.
The Great Space Roaster
Roger attempts to kill the family after his birthday roast makes him too insecure. Funny ass episode I have no notes.
A Starboy is Born
The Weeknd stars in this episode as himself and sings a song about secretly being a virgin because it gives him magic powers. It’s delightful.

Top 10 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie
Ah ,Arnold .As a kid with an action loving dad ,I grew up on a steady diet of his flicks .Some are legit great ,some are not ,but they are at least memorable
Also sorry Commando is not on here, cause I dont remember if I have seen all of it
10.Batman and Robin
Hey this is favorite list ,not best .I know this film has been trashed to High Heaven over 25 years .....But damn its got fun moments and one of them is the hilarious miscasting of Arnold as the films villain Mr Freeze .While I do maintain he is miscasted.....Arnold seems to be having fun .It is one of the only times I can think of where you get to see Arnold as a scene chewy villain ,and him hamming it up and making ice puns is kind of a joy to watch
9.Conan the Destroyer
So I wanna save my opponion on Conan the Barbarian for later ,I'll just say I like it a lot and that this films big flaw is it doesnt live up to that first film.....That said I love that this film does its own thing .THis film is basically a D&D campagn with a ragtag group of heroes : big tough barbarian ,a weasly thief ,a kooky wizard ,a badass warrior woman , a princess ,and a token evil teamate who is working for the big bad ,all on a quest where they fight wizards and monsters and so forth . Cast is fun with returning players Arnold and Mako being a ton of fun ,SArah Douglas is a great villain ,but the scene stealer is Grace Jones . Its not perfect but if your in the mood for a quest based fantasy film, this is a fun watch
8.Kindergarten Cop
....OK I might get some shit for not putting this higher ,so I just wanna say its a really good movie. It uses Arnold comedy gifts well ,big tough movie cop being a kindergarten teacher is a hilarious premise , and I like the darker aspects that offset the comedy ....So why dont I have it higher?Honestly its just not a film I seek out .EVery time I have watched it it was because it was on TV or someone else was watching it .I'm also not a comedy person in general and If I do its something either dark or absurd . Will say it is a great movie ,just not one I watch a bunch
7.Last Action Hero
Now this is a movie with a great premise that I wish it did more with ,a kid being sucked into a action movie .It sets up some idea that I wish it went all the way with .That said there are hilarious moment s (ARNOLD AS HAMLET ),a weirdly great cast (Anthony Quinn is in this thats amazing ) ,Arnolds great ,and I actually love the main villain played by Charles Dance ,who is set up as a henchmen before hijacking the main villain role
6.Jingle All The Way
OK let me explain -THis is a nostalgic Christmas movie for me ,and this is my fave Arnold comedy....Kind of BECAUSE it is so weird . You have ARNOLD ,this musclebound action man ,playing a put upon every man ,whose trying to get a toy for his kid and dealing with rageaholic reindeer ,battling a warehouse of con men Santas led by Jim Belushi ,while a lustful Phil Hartman is trying to seduce his wife and it climaxes with him becoming a superhero fighting a psychotic Mailman played by Sinbad .....This film is fucking INSANE .......I LOVE IT .I love the skeevy performance of the late great Phil Hartman and its such a weird mix of ingredients ,I dont know if its GOOD ,but I resally love this insane movie
5.Terminator
I do think this film has aged a bit,i ......But its still really good ,in fact I think that makes it unique. The film has a dingy handmade quality , like you can tell this is an unpolished not high budget film and that makes is so cool .It is also VERY 80's ..Linda Hammilton and Michael Biehn are great but the scene stealer is Arnold as the villain .ONE.OF .THe COOLEST .BAD GUYS .EVER .Arnold is weirdly perfect as a unstoppable killer robot ,and he is aided by the effects work of Stan Winston (I will bring him up a few times )
4,Total Recall
Now we get to the great movies in my oppinion . This film is both really interesting with its sci fi concept and questioning of what is real and what is a simulation .....But its also a fun action romp with one liners and Arnold kicking but galore .Also cant go wrong with Michael Ironside and Ronny Cox as your villains
3.Predator
OK these top 3 are so good I could make them a tie ,but I do have a preference. It starts off as a military action movie with big burly tough guys like Arnold,Bill Duke,Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura doing macho tough guy things.....And then you realize this is a HORROR film ,and that these big tough action heroes are being hunted as prey by a very terrifying monster . I wish more movies did genre switches like this .It s also a rare Arnold isnt the focus, the real star is monster .I swear it people,The Predator is one of the most intimidating and terrifying villains in Sci Fi and I will give all credit to not only the effects work of Stan Winston but the amazing performance of the late Keven Peter Hall ,who makes possibly the best opponent Arnold has ever faced
2.Terminator 2 Judgement Day
So if I was going by best this might be number one cause.....I cant deny it,this is an action masterpiece .It does what a sequel should and it BUILDS on the first while also being its own film .I think it might be Arn9olds best performance ,the effects both practical and CG are groundbreaking ,the action is heartpounding ,Lind Hamilton is AMAZING and while the Predator is the best villain Arnold has faced ,the T100 is number 2 for me ,theis terrifying shapshifter is just relentless
1.Conan the Barbarian
That said this is my fave . If its sequel is a D&D campagn ......This is an epic poem .The action is grand ,the set design is grand , the MUSIC is one of the best film scores ever ,and the supporting cast includes legends like James Earl Jones,Mako and Max Von Sydow ,and it does all this while telling a timeless tale of revenge .I think ,while he has better performances down the line, this is the best use of Arnold and being one of my favorite fantasy films, I had to give it the top spot
What are your fave Arnold movies

Babble: Track 16
I believe the world is burning to the ground
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna find out
Let's see how far we've come!
I believe the world is coming to an end
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend
Let's see us far we've come!

Rest assured, there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation.
You just don’t know the lengths us we old timers go through for a little quality time with our family.
You two are like the mystery twins.
I don’t know how a lemon so sour can be related to a peach so sweet.
The future is in the past. Onward Aoshima!
I like these guys.
I guess we’re both freaks.
Man, revenge is underrated that felt awesome.
Everything is different now.
Why is it that whenever you’re around there’s always ghosts and monsters or whatever?
I dare say you would’ve defeated me, if it wasn’t for your sibling bickering.
I ate a man alive tonight.
We put the "fun" in "No Refunds".
My voice may not be perfect, but it’s mine and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
Don’t you know what it’s like to fall for someone, even though you know in your heart that it’ll probably never work out, but you’d do anything for that person?
@You had me at shut up old man.
Why don’t you just leave me alone?!
BROS BEFORE DINOS!
You leave our uncle’s brain alone you isosceles monster!
Every victory you had was because of this book.
Without it I can’t help you or Stan, or anyone.
Kids listen: This town is crazy, so you need to be careful. I don’t know what I would do with myself if you got hurt on my watch.
I have more fun with you than like practically anyone else. And if you ever stopped being my friend, I would like throw myself into the bottomless pit.
What did you say you little trolls? I will sue you! I will sue you and I will own you!
Who would sacrifice everything they worked for just for their dumb sibling?
... Dipper would.
Please let my friends go! I’ll do anything you want I promise!
Welp, I learned nothing from all this.
Have you met my family!?
Maybe I messed up in the past, but that I’ve seen what happened I can begin to put myself together again.
I’ve been being ridiculous this whole time. Whoever my dad was, he can take a hike. I know who my family is now. And it’s you dudes.
I just needed to move on… I’m happy? Weird right?
Our family name is broken! And I’m going to fix it!
Do you really think I’m a bad guy?
You give me my house back, you give me my name back…
As far as I’m concerned, they’re the only family I have left.
In my time I’ve made many powerful enemies. But I trust you with this secret.
Do I really want “Cooked Grifter” written on my tombstone?
It’s time we stopped trying to be so “perfect” and be who we really are.
Confidence can buy you a lot. But at the end of the day, pickup artists tend to get our heads bitten off.
Can you honestly tell me you never felt like you were meant for something more?
You’ll still have your brother with you through thick and thin. Not everyone can say that you know?
Being a hero means… This summer, I’ve seen some amazing things… you need to make up and team up… So close… The best you can do is strive to be someone worthy of loving. Will you tell her what I did?
Let my body be… When you told me… I don’t know what’s… Time to pop your…
Wait… I’ve been… Even in… So, I was… Serves that… Don’t you see… If we band together… Holy… Quit the… You’re… I’ve made some… You’re looking at… Thanks for these… Fine I’ll… After all I’ve… If you didn’t… Well maybe… Those weird… I won’t… This was... I just want… Oh no you… What are you… Now’s our… Just so we’re… It looks even… I’m so… I think I’m… No more… I knew I... You must… I’ve tried… Yes yes… Wow… Don’t turn this… Shut up… This is… The rest of… Dang it... Come on… I’ve… I’ll…

The last thing they all individually remembered was four big vines coming out of Bill's symbol, briefly making a big green X before branching out and grabbing them and pulling them to the center.
Next thing they knew, they were waking up in a big crater, all fused together, with that wheel branded on their chest. The town was mostly restored to normal. The people... not so much.
"Who are you?"
"I'm... Dipper Pines. No I'm not I'm Mabel Pines. No I'm not I'm Wendy Corderoy. No I'm not, I'm Gideon Gleeful. No I'm not that either, I'm... I'm... I'm going to be sick."

One step made an earthquake. One touch mutated their pets.
On August 31, they walked into the woods and kept walking.
"Are you okay?"
they didn't look up.
"Does it matter?"
Something tapped their head. They finally looked up and there, standing on a rock, was an eight-inch pink woman with platinum blond hair and a tail. "Do you mind if I sit here?" she asked.
“What are you?”
“I’m tired is what I am. But the word you’re looking for is Troll.”
“Troll? Like live under a bridge, asks people riddles, turns to stone in the sunlight troll?”
“That’s not how it actually works, but yeah.”
They laughed at the randomness of it all. “Of course! Why not? Gnomes are perverts, unicorns are frauds, angels are hipsters, it totally tracks that troll would be… like you."
"What's wrong with me?" the woman asked offended.
… “Now that I think about it, nothing we guess.” They took a closer look at her. She had full glossy lips, smokey eyes, and wore a two-piece lilac-colored jumpsuit that showed off her midriff. A heart-shaped stone shone in her navel, and her tufted tail had a tambourine hung on it like jewelry.
"We guess, I guess, I... You probably want a different place to relax." They said, still unsure of how to present to others.
The pink troll woman squinted at them, asking "Seriously, are you okay? I haven't met many humans yet, but you seem a bit... off."
"It's... a long story." They admitted.
"Well, luck you. I love long stories." She sat cross-lgged on the rock and stuck her tiny doll hand out. "I'm Rose."
They smiled. "I don't really know who I am anymore but," they shook her hand with their extra finger. "call me Zodiac."
