Them, my main brainrot since 2021 when i finished first playthrough with Vanessa. The two canon romances didn't fit, and i didn't know who to choose for her, bc she truly deserves an happy ending ♥ and @draerian came and said Valentin is there for her. That's because of this i started modding, to do my npv and reunite them <33 I love them so much, they're so pretty, confident, sexy, ...can talk about them for hours <3

To start off the month, I wanna share some of the emojis I made last year! Some of you might remember them 🤲

I used a free-to-use Discord emote template (that I can't FOR THE LIFE OF ME find back) for these- and a lot of you actually requested me your adorable OCs back then!!

"A merc in fuckin' sequins" 🤘

Firstly, I told myself, I'm not gonna get too carried away with modding before I finish my second playthrough. But also, I had this vision of Vince in a sparkly sequin rainbow coat, and my hand slipped... and yeah, here we are, the "pride clothing for fucking posers" collection is steadily growing xD Nothing released into the wild as of now, and I won't manage that until the month is over most likely - but not like you can't wear pretty rainbow things all year round!

Secondly, the quote above always kinda stuck with me... It's from the Jinguji side-job. At the end during the convo with MaxTac, V can decline their offer of joining them with "nah, I'd feel like a merc in fuckin' sequins".

The thing is... Vince literally is that, a merc in fuckin' sequins. Not just literally, like in the sparkly clothes I have for him, but also figuratively. He never wanted to be a merc in the first place, not able to picture himself in that gritty world, no matter how much Jackie tried to convince him that it was good, easy money (both of them were still in their late teens/early twenties at that point and trying to make ends meet somehow). He had no interest in stealing and killing for a living. He loved his tech, he thought about becoming a netrunner maybe, but everything that went down the more physical lane, fighting and so on, was never his thing. Still isn't. He's short, was always kind of scrawny... he's more the "I'm gonna shit-talk myself out of this dangerous situation somehow". Not quite to, say, Saul Goodman levels, but definitely more like that than anything else.

Then he was recruited for Arasaka. He'd only just begun to get a bit more daring with his clothing choices, his hair, tattoos, and the recuiters immediately told him to "tone it down". At the time, still not nearly as confident as he is now, he did. He wanted that job, almost out of spite, but also morbid curiosity... and he could actually see himself being good at the kind of work he was offered to do for the corporation.

His time at Arasaka changed him, equipped him with many new skills (and many new issues). But he was so much more braver, a hell lot more confident and comfortable in his body, trusted in his skills. But he had also learned one fundamental thing: he didn't want to even try and fit in anywhere anymore, because that's not who he is, deep down, and trying to conform to Arasaka's standards made him absolutely miserable.

Sure, making a resolution is one thing and actually sticking to it another, but as he then became a merc after all, after Jackie's death, his own death looming on the horizon... he more and more began to embrace being the "merc in sequins", the solo that didn't want to fit in with the rest. And he actually turned out to be rolling extremely succesful with it, with staying true to himself, standing out, and doing things his way.

Sure, he can be subtle if he wants to. "You can never get the corp outta the rat," as Jackie said. He'll still rather raise no alarms, tries the stealthy approach whenever possible, and if things go wrong would rather talk himself out of the situation than kill. But he also relishes being an extravagant motherfucker when he gets the chance to. Those who don't take the "merc in sequins" seriously, the weird little misfit that weasled himself to the top from the very bottom, will learn the meaning of regret soon enough.

Not long ago I noticed that the colors I decided to mostly give Ryder through my VP journey after having created him often match those of the male gay pride flag.

Either just the green or purple tones but also both:

Of course I do not only make pics of him in those colors, since I have also done golden sunset pics and a few in green/red lighting as well as pics with more red color, but the majority of them is presented in these purple and green tones.

I did never think about it in the first place, I thought purple and (mint) green hues would fit him well since he's only wearing black. I think the colors came to be as I started taking his first pics ever in the Afterlife and then shortly after the konpeki plaza pics (the extreme red ones) I took these merc clothes shots (last two) of both, Ry and V and thought, damn he looks awesome in that purple light. So, I kept sorta doing it? Starting to derive it from things he likes: collecting gemstones - mostly amethists among them, which are ofc purple and he loves to be in the forest (at least back in Germany he did spent a lot of time in forests). Green is such a refreshing color. Later I also decided to make my pinned post graphic for him the same way, since I used the vp as well and he ended up with green and purple.

And then one day discovering it by accident only a few months back I realized I subconsciously gave him his own pride colors almost right from the start without making him actually wear those colors in his clothing!? Verückt!!! :D

Info on the pic in the middle: I know it has some tones as well that do not match to the flag. I only put it there since it is currently the only pic with a lot of white I have to offer (for that white stripe in the flag) and yes; see it as a sneak peak ;P.

(Eurodyne Pride collection 2/?)

Samurai was still a pretty lowkey band, but was raising in fame from word of mouth and the countless bars they’ve played at. And this year they were invited to play at a Pride Parade in the middle of town.

The band wasn’t exactly quiet, most of the rumors were about them all sleeping together. They weren’t wrong, and Kerry definitely wasn’t quiet about his sexuality. He wore it loud and proud with patches and pins, bandanas, and now a bisexual flag painted on his face by Denny, who also had a bi flag on her face.

The band was ready to go for the most part, Kerry sporting his bi flag, Denny with her pan flag, Henry with a bi flag, and Nancy and Johnny no where to be seen.

Kerry banged his fist on the bathroom door again, rubbing his forehead. “We’re gonna be late, assholes let’s go!” He called. He knew Johnny did not care that much about his appearance, unless they were fucking and had to get ready.

Nancy came out of the bathroom and shoved Kerry against the back of the couch, the door shutting behind her.

“When he comes out, not a word. You don’t know how much time it took to get him to this level, k?” She asked, making everyone agree.

That’s when Johnny came out of the bathroom with a bisexual flag on his cheek, and his hands in his back pockets. Kerry felt a smile begin to form when Nancy nudged him.

“Holy fuck were gonna be late-“ Nancy finally checked her watch and started shoving everyone out of the apartment, Johnny barely having time to grab his keys before the door slammed behind them.

The show was great, probably one of their best. The energy was fantastic, the crowd feeling it, the band feeling themselves. Kerry and Henry were in sync and energetic with Johnny, Kerry unable to stay away from him. But that’s how it normally was.

By the end of the show, Kerry was ready to party. He was vibrating with excitement and ready to go. When Johnny pulled him in by his guitar strap and kissed him on stage. The crowd went fucking wild, screaming and cheering. The band joined in as the kiss ran on for a bit longer than necessary.

Johnny grinned when he pulled back and told the crowd goodnight, they’d join the party later. Kerry was still dazed from the kiss as they walked off stage, letting the rest of the entertainers for that night come up. They went back to their tiny shared trailer to get ready.

“Fuck that was amazing!” Denny exclaimed as she freshened up, making sure her make up was good and changed into something better to party and walk around in.

Johnny was quiet, already drinking a beer and lighting a cigarette. The rest of the band took the hint and left the two alone.

It was rumored that Johnny and Kerry were sleeping together, they weren’t wrong but also weren’t ready to explain whatever weird situation they had going on. But never in a million years did Kerry think he’d be kissed on stage by Johnny.

“You wanna-“

“No.”

“J-“

“I said I don’t want to talk about it.” Johnny went to leave but Kerry stopped him, holding his wrist. Johnny glared at him, cigarette hanging between his lips and beer in his other hand.

“C’mon man… it’s me! You know I don’t judge-“

“Stop it. I don’t want to talk about this.”

“You have a bi flag on your face, and kissed me on stage. There’s a few things to talk about.”

“There’s not. Nance didn’t make a big deal out of it, why are you? I was copying you.”

Kerry knew that wasn’t true, but also knew Johnny wasn’t comfortable in his sexuality like he was. He knew Johnny battled with his sexuality and masculinity on a daily basis, especially with his band being so shameless about who the slept with. Not that Johnny had any shame when it came to women.

“Fuckin- Fine! You wanna talk, you won’t let this go until we do. Let’s talk.”

Johnny shoved passed him so he wasn’t cornered into the door. Kerry was worried he had crossed the line so far he couldn’t see the line anymore.

But he persisted, as he always does and took a deep breath.

“I just… J you know there’s nothing to be ashamed of right? Especially with us. We won’t judge you for liking dudes. We’ve shared a bed since we were sixteen for Christs sake! Look, I get it-“

“No you don’t get it!”

“Shut up and let me talk.” Kerry’s voice was low, but Johnny lit another cigarette and sat back in his chair.

“I do get it. My dad treated me like fucking trash after he found out I liked men. Called me names, isolated me- Why do you think I ran away to live with Thea?” Johnny was looking down, unable to look at Kerry, who was so unapologetic about what he had been through. But he was here now, and he was so fucking proud of himself for making it here.

Kerry squatted next to him. “Hey? You don’t even need a label okay? As long as you don’t hate yourself for liking dudes. There’s nothing wrong with it. And we sure as hell won’t judge, okay?” Kerry asked, squeezing his knee before standing.

“Now, I’m gonna go find the gayest drink I can find. When you’re ready, you can come find me okay?” Kerry knew he needed space. He wasn’t going to deprive him of that.

Kerry was at the bar with Nancy when he felt a warm chest bump against his back and heard Johnny order a drink. He turned saw the bi flag was still on his face, and he made eye contact with Kerry. Kerry smiled.

“You gonna dance with me?” Kerry asked, making Nancy laugh.

“Do I have a choice?”

“You always have a choice. But no.” Johnny snorted and nodded his head.

“Fine. But Nancy has to come with. I’m not embarrassing myself alone.” Kerry twisted his nipple and huffed.

The rest of the night was perfect, the band danced until they dropped, having to call Rogue to come get them because they were too wasted to stand up. Kerry remembers how Johnny stayed close that night, danced with him, laughed with the others. That was before he truly lost Johnny.

But this isn’t about that. Kerry has always fought for the things he believed in, he was proud of his sexuality, he always had been. He had been made to love as his mother said when she picked him up after a particularly bad night with his father.

Johnny had never cared how people saw him, but he could accept the fact that he was bisexual so easy. But he knew one thing, when he was on that stage with Kerry that day, kissing him in front of everyone, the pictures made headlines and blogs, and everyone saw the pride flag on Johnny’s face.

Kissing Kerry felt like the only right thing to do to finish off the show.

HOW TO GIVE NPCS CHEEK PRIDE MAKEUP

This is a (hopefully) beginner friendly tutorial on how to add @pinkyjulien's Colorful Cheeks Pride Makeup to NPCs.

This is a "Beta" version, as the second method I'd like to list is giving me a little grief for now. You can check on the tutorial what I mean!

It should also work with any other available resource as long the resource is tailored for this purpose specifically.

Cyberpride Month, Day 1 : Gabby's Gender

Bigender: "Part female, part something greater than gender itself."

Gabby never was the real man their father so desperately wished them to be. They didn't seek domination through violence. They never hid their emotions. They slowly embraced their feminine side, first to annoy their father, then, for their comfort and happiness.

Once they left home to go study sociology in a renowned university in California, they went with feminine pronouns only. They felt free for the first time in their life. They weren't Gabriele anyone, but Gabbie, then Gabby. They didn't feel like a woman. Becoming a woman should've meant sacrificing part of who they were. Being a woman wasn't enough. They were queer, just queer. Their peers accepted their new identity, most sharing the views that everything in life was a social construct.

While studying to get their degree, they met other queer people with whom they could talk, who helped them learn more about themself. They graduated as a bigender individual. Part woman, part something else, something vague but almost Holy. Being called "he" didn't bother them anymore. Every pronoun fitted just fine. They all feel like jewelry to them: something pretty to wear to make them look even better than they already do.

If their father has never accepted them, everyone around them either does, or is met with their own form of dominance. Words and natural charm.
