Would king candy keep up with your OC on the dance floor?
Absolutely not! Not because he's clumsy or anything (he can be very quick and coordinated when he needs to be) but because he's not super familiar with dancing and gives up immediately when he isn't perfect at it first try.
(I've posted this drawing before LOL)
He misses a few beats on a moderately fast song and goes, "Alright, this is stupid. Remind me again why I'm not speeding around in my little kart? Something that I am very good at?"
And Breaker would say "Nooo it's about having fun ^_^" while playing a custom beatmap he made that is virtually incomprehensible to anyone else.

i’m not sure if you’re playing megamix on console or on pc, but if you have it on pc there’s a fantastic modding community for it. if you have it on console, imo it’s still worth it to grab it on steam when it’s on sale
ahaaa yeah I've looked into modding my Steam copy of MM+ but it seems like the available options for importing songs requires mods that run through different save data folders, so I'd technically be losing all my song progress and would have to clear all those same songs again. Apparently that's only the case though when the mods are actually active but IDK if I have the spoons to mess around with that rn, I'd be worried about actually permanently losing my stats LMAO Still, I'd love to try it sometime for the sake of getting access to those custom beatmaps and removed songs !!

Oh my gosh all this talk about beatmaps is so nice because I used to be terrified of rhythm games because I thought that I can never do that I can never tap on and tap all those things at once to the beat and all that but I played enstars because hot men,, and I remember I used to cry because I couldn't even do easy beatmaps.
It didn't help that I was a newbie in an enstars disc server and people called me names for not being able to clear easy. I remember I used to really struggle and cry a lot because I felt stupid but I just didn't give up and I had really nice friends!
Turns out the beatmaps were way too slow for me and slow things always frustrate me. Once I changed the speed settings to 12× I could full combo so easily it baffled me how all I needed was a speed change. 😭 I wasn't stupid or a failure, I just needed different settings. I gradually moved onto normal and now I'm on hard mode. I still play on 12× speed and it's super fun!
Hard mode beat maps are designed more to the beat of the song, like every little instrument and tone change of the vocals while easy and normal just followed overall rhythm. It was really fun to me because at the same time they test my memorization of the songs, and when I got my custom headphones and slight deafness was no longer an issue, I had such a blast. I still get pissed and moody whenever I miss a combo, but I don't beat myself over it anymore. I find the challenge fun and maybe someday, I'll be on expert. But even if I don't, that's okay! Cuz I found my way of enjoying the game :3
- Madara yume anon 🍀 rambled again oops
lmao people made fun of you for that ?????? jesus christ people are more immature than i thought . honestly i dont like rhythm games that much . ironic huh ?? hahah.

new project now that I've written an entire novel - recording my current competency on all 250 custom beatsaber tracks I currently have downloaded. its sortable by available difficulty, genre, I've added sortable tags for which songs I want as practice targets
this has helped me identify the main thing blocking me from solid expert: I do not know what to fucking do when the red brick is to the right of a blue brick. I need to just slow the fucking song down and get that motion memorized but I need to find a good song with lots of runs to practice on
anyway I want to pick up my goal again of getting good at this, as ill-advised as that may be with my shitty arm nerves & joints. tell me your favorite beatmaps, esp if they're like, good dancey low-mid-expert workout songs

Thought Albedo's theme was given an overly simplistic beatmap even in Pro, decided to switch things up a bit and try making custom beatmaps again.
Perfectly doable with two fingers for touchscreen, and, dunno, maybe equivalent to Hard on the other rhythm game next door? Definitely not Expert or SP-tier; just tried to make something fun for myself, really.
But in case anyone wants to try: code's 4403166406101, Asia server.
#genshin impact#albedo#ari plays genshin#ari's screenies#i guess it falls into that tag?#please excuse my six Goods it's two a.m.#bit sad the beatmaps i made last year weren't saved#but when i rewatch my vids of those… lol what is that speed#was that a beatmap or a traffic jam? how did i manage with that speed??#i have since discovered i work much better by

So you know how I made a custom beatmap for the first time for the song "Bard's Adventure"? Here's me playing it!
Hope you enjoy!
(No, I do not know why the video decided to be insanely quiet. Unfortunately I can't really do much about it right now. Sorry!)

The worst thing about making custom beatmaps is that I can't even be like "hey who the hell made this horrible thing" because I know exactly who made it
#i have mixed thoughts on the genshin rhythm game events#on one hand the beatmap maker is very easy to use i like it#on the other hand the notes arent very varied#anyway if you're interested i made some you can try (eu server)#the ids are 1104529066625#2204040694401#and 3303552322177#im quite proud of them#anyway#genshin#genshin impact

I'm torn between wanting Sega and Crypton to go fully scorched earth and just make Project Diva Mega Mix+ into a community-supported game with custom beatmaps and songs (similarly to that of Osu) knowing fully well that would never happen due to all the copyright and gameplay issues that would arise (it would be such a stripped down version of the game that it wouldn't even be Project Diva anymore) and just wanting them to release another paid DLC pack some day which also likely will never happen because dev support for Mega Mix+ is basically dead.
The songs packed with Mega Mix+ are great, I've found a lot of new favorites through it as well, but inevitably I'll still wind up dropping the game when I either hit my skill ceiling or simply lose interest in trying to perfect the same limited number of songs, and that bums me out because it is a very fun game, but it's severely limited by the restrictions that arise by its curated-only track design.
Like, 251 tracks (if you have all the DLC) sounds like a lot until you realize that only a third of them might be fun to play and despite so many legacy songs being available - Love is War, World is Mine, Rolling Girl, etc. - there are a lot of others that are strangely missing as well. Ievan Polkka and Hato are nowhere to be found despite being in prior titles thanks to copyright disputes. Matryoshka and Echo are both songs that have been covered to death by the Vocaloid community precisely because of how iconic they are, but of course they aren't even in the DLC packs. Despite Kasane Teto and Akita Neru being present as customizable characters, they don't really have any songs to show for their presence; they feel more like the obligatory fanservice cameo which I can understand to some degree considering they're from the UTAU cast and aren't as massively known characters as Miku and the Kagamine twins, but you're telling me the devs got as far as including the OG UTAU trio of Teto, Neru, and Haku, and didn't think for a second to include Triple Baka as a playable song??? 💀😭
youtube
There damn well better be some legal reason they couldn't include it because I won't take "the song is cringe" as an excuse, y'all put the Miku cover of Nyan Cat in there LMAO
I will continue to dream of a day when I can play a Project Diva beatmap for Bacterial Contamination. Or Panda Hero. Or Adventurous Girl & Miniature Garden Game. Shit, I'd even take Honey Honey at this point, at least the OG UTAUloid trio are in that one. Fifty years from now I'm gonna be in the fucking retirement home grumbling incoherent nonsense about Teto Territory and y'all can't stop me 😆
#idk tho this is all just my own take on it#you can take me out of junior high but you can't take my vocaloid phase out of me#“jUsT pLaY pRoJeCt sEkAi”#sorry but i literally can't be assed to play that#it's literally just guitar hero with nico nico chorus covers#no hate to any project sekai fans but that's like telling a disappointed pokemon fan to just play palworld#it's similar but not the same and misses the point#i could just go back to osu for the community songs but my stupid tablet doesn't work with it >:(#don't mind me just riling myself up over dumb shit#ultimately project diva could never satisfy EVERY vocaloid fan#but man mega mix could have been a great way to stabilize the project diva series to one game#just continue to port it / update it with new tracks every once in a while#i would gladly pay for new DLC packs#off topic#vocaloid#project diva

How Legends Play Video Games Pt. 1 (HC)
Bloodhound
Didn’t play that much, only being recently introduced to it by Lifeline and/or Octane
Enjoys simulators, mostly farming sims. They said it reminds them of the times before the games.
Would cry a river when their crops failed or their pets died, gives all their animals names.
Gibraltar
Loves adventure titles, says that the quests are what got him hooked.
Is super invested with all the storylines of all the characters. Would definitely cry when one eventually died.
Takes 3+ hours on character customization. Would never refund the game if it ever ends up not too good.
Lifeline
Rhythm games are her jam, probably had world record for some osu! beatmaps (or the equivalent of it in the Apex/Titanfall universe.)
“It ain’t the same as the real one but who the hell cares?”
Super competitive, but takes everything in an “it is what it is” mindset. Impossible to tilt.
Pathfinder
Doesn’t play, but is probably the console everyone uses to run the games on.
But when it did play, its usually the retro arcade or 8-bit games. Would definitely play Pong with itself.
Don’t challenge it to a Street Fighter competition. Other than it being a robot.
Wraith
Only plays casually, more focused on her own things than playing video games. The only thing that she’s attracted to about games are the soundtracks.
Is an expert at finding that one spot in games for a very beautiful screenshots.
Regularly plays with Bloodhound, tending to their farm together (and also their emotional support)
Bangalore
Master of strategy games. Can probably compete in a professional RTS tournament circuit if not for the games and her own desire not to.
Hyper-critical of her own gameplay, but still able to forgive and forget herself.
Is the type to mumble her actions over the microphone. Absolutely terrible on social games.
Caustic
Does not play video games, like at all.
“Why waste your time on such unproductive activity?”
Grumbles in the corner on game night.
Mirage
Likes fighting games, another reason why he disliked Pathfinder.
The pinnacle of button smashing.
"Hey, guys, check out this cool trick I learned from the net a few minutes ago." *Fails miserably* "Okay, you guys didn't see that, nope, not at all."
Octane
Plays any type of games, mostly racing, shooter, or platformer.
An avid speedrunner, holds a few records on certain games.
Will laugh when the scare comes in a horror game. Has no sense of dread whatsoever.
