You know....
I'm bummed I wasn't watching during the Curtis Axel era - seeing him win the IC Belt live would have been pretty great

I’m going to disagree with Ted Dibiase Jr and Curtis Axel. I don’t feel like they “dropped out”. Instead, WWE failed them. They had the talent. They royally screwed Axel with his first gimmick. And none of his storylines drew the fans in. His Heyman guy stint was decent but still not where it should have been with his talent. Dibiase… I feel like if they had tried to do something original with him it would have worked. Instead, they made him into a modern day version of his father and it didn’t work. Coming back from that wasn’t easy as most fans couldn’t see him as anything but his father’s son.
Now, obviously I don’t know what went on backstage so there could be more to the overall story. But for me and what I know, WWE failed them.

Top Five Popular WWE Mid Card Wrestlers That Were Not Utilized
Top Five Popular WWE Mid Card Wrestlers That Were Not Utilized
Brian Damage There is an old saying, “Strike while the iron is hot.” That saying certainly applies to a select few wrestlers that gained a following in WWE despite a lack of a push or real investment into their characters. Instead of the company just going with the wave of popularity these individuals were seeing, they were stagnated in the mid card or given poorly executed angles that killed…
