Bradley cosplay update!! <3
I have disappeared off the face of the earth for a second (this is good, I am being productive) and I have resurfaced with some updates on the Cult leader cosplay!
I have finished the base of the sash and have interfaced the shoulder piece with some horsehair canvas so it can stay up properly! I have also made my own bias tape (this was hell) to attach to the sleeves and shoulder piece once I’m done and now I’m waiting on some fringe for the sash and the waist robe!
I’ve split the outfit into the base dress and blouse (the grey part), separate shoulder piece and separate sash, in the hopes that this will turn into a half-way wearable piece of clothing even outside of the cosplay but we’ll see about that-
Next on the list is the blouse, which will close with buttons, and then it’s onto the dress!

i wish that the second goofy movie was a musical like the first because think about it, the great bradley uppercrust iii might've had a villain song
i think it would've been so fun if they went all out with the cult thing😭😭😭 even tho the film was more modern-like, they had a WIDE opportunity to make a classic d*sney villain song because they basically made brad to be a leader in a stereotypical ritualistic secret cult 😭😭 I WISH THERE WAS MORE OF THE CULT which is a sentence i never thought i'd type until i just saw this movie
but although i like bradley uppercrust iii, i very much prefer the first movie bc dang it was actually goofy.. and i liked that it was a musical

Rose rises from water to destroy evildoers
I thought I'd make an update picture of my Tremere Rose Bradley since I feel my drawing and rendering skills have gotten better in these recent months and also me and my friends have started up New Orleans by Night back up and the coterie after months of peace have suddenly been hit by another cult, the cult that raised one of the Coterie members Iris (Salubri @cthylla-rlyeh 's player character), has come to town to take her and her daughter(Sunny) back and in the process had killed two of the coterie's allies(one of them was the leader of the thinbloods of the Anarchy so that's going to be a big shake up) and kidnapped Sunny and her friend Ollie and now the coterie needs to move fast to get the kids back and get revenge for the lives lost.
For this picture I was imaging when the coterie does catch up to the cult if there is another pond or body of water nearby I was thinking Rose could hide under the water again and use Prison of Water on some the cult members before coming out to strike them and this would the sight they would be greeted with once she surfaced. I'm pretty happy how this piece came out and it got done quite quickly too XD I guess I'm getting faster at making art and I'm happy how her hands and expression came out, again feeling like I'm really improving in my craft. :D
Btw if you like what you see and want a commission drop me a direct message on tumblr, instagram or a note on deviantart

@glimpsesofeuterpe replied to your post “@glimpsesofeuterpe replied to your post “Religious...”:
id love watching one in mind changiing misadventuress >x)
Unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen with this one x') I expect it to go far worse than the normal Rexes in the Offices.
A lot of Rexs, like Cult Leader Rex and W.BG Rex are just on a mission to destroy others (and themselves sometimes) as much as possible before they die. It stems from a deep rooted hatred of the world, of life, of all the things they didn't get to become or have, and hatred towards those who ended up better than them.
They refuse every chance offered of being better and instead steep in their anger, until it infects anyone who dares to linger around them. Like a parasite (or a virus) they seek to spread their pain as much as possible, even going so far as to pretending to be loving or kind so they can find more victims.
Then there are some Rexs, like The Rex, who started out like this and then found purpose somewhere else. The Rex isn't very interested in random murder and torture anymore (except when it's Cas (sorry cas)) and focuses more of his energy on his family.
That Rex who fell in love with Noxxie is the same too, there is an AU where he has a family with him and they become an ordinary happy couple that put their life of murder behind them so they can instead take their kids to school and teach them how to cook, etc.
In some way, they're a bit like Bradleys. Except Bradleys want to be saved and they are desperate to thrown a life raft.
Rex is a drowning man who is trying to sink as many boats as possible before he goes.

Log: #001 Title: The Green County Militia
Model: Llama-2 13b chat, q5.
Summary: Llama-2 13b is provided with an incomplete report template for a strategic assessment of two non-professional forces, and instructions on how to fill out each incomplete item in the report.
Context: A similar previous strategic assessment report template was used as an initial rough test to see if Llama could be used to forecast the actions of fictional factions for worldbuilding, however, no instructions were provided on how to fill out each section, and it was not described as an incomplete report to fill out. The initial test concerned an operation by Section 9 from Ghost in the Shell, and Llama was optimistic; this time, an inferior force with no fictional precedent was used to assess whether Llama could tell the difference. A previous attempt with the "Green County Militia" subject yielded results that indicated that Llama was treating it as a game file and not filling it out properly, so the new prompt was altered.
Findings: Llama 13b is pretty good about following the instructions here, including selecting a rating from a list of options, although it includes a rating without being asked in one section (seemingly to fit in with the other sections). Its assessment of the situation is somewhat reasonable, but probably overestimates the chances of success. In response 2 it implicitly mistakes the hostage for the militia's leader.
Recommendation: With a different report format, this may be good enough to help out with your Shadowrun games.

Prompt
The following passage is an incomplete report for County Commissioner Bradley Oaks of Green County, Iowa, who wishes to assess a rescue operation. Please read the following passage. [ PASSAGE BEGINS ] FACTION: Green County Militia NATIONAL AFFILIATION: United States LOCATION: Green County, Iowa LEADER: Kevin Darwood, male retail store manager, age 59 years PERSONNEL: - Squad Leader: Devon Blake, male military veteran, age 32 years, honorable discharge - Soldier: Bob Newrake, male hunter, age 42 years - Soldier: Kevin Manholder, male fry cook, age 27 years - Sniper: Lee Sung, male electronics engineer, age 49 years - Medic: Sarah Sung, female high school student with first-aid training, age 17 years Personnel, Notes: All personnel of the Green County Militia are able-bodied and in good physical health for their age. They are equipped with semi-automatic rifles, civilian camouflage equipment, and other gear that can be purchased at a large rural sporting goods store oriented towards hunting large game animals, such as deer. No members of the Green County Militia have formal military training except for Kevin Darwood, though all members have regularly practiced at a local gun range. Personnel, Kevin Darwood, Note: Kevin Darwood has a good personal relationship with Dale Bunchraker, the Sheriff of Green County, and is the primary point of contact between county officials and the Green County Militia. VEHICLES: - 1x 1999 Toyota SUV, passenger capacity 8, poor condition - 2x early 00's Ford pick-up truck, passenger capacity 2, good condition - 3x ATV, passenger capacity 1, good condition SCENARIO: Ken Sterwood, the leader of an armed cult in Green County known as the Darwood Cult, has kidnapped Green County Sheriff Dale Bunchraker and is holding him at a fortified 140-acre compound located among forest hills on the edge of the county. His forces consist of 120 men between the ages of 18-35, armed with fully-automatic rifles, mostly AK-47s imported through the black market sources. Intelligence indicates they also possess a rocket-propelled grenade launcher with a total of 5 rocket-propelled grenades. OBJECTIVE: Rescue Sheriff Bunchraker from Ken Sterwood's cult compound. STRATEGIC FORECAST: PROBABILITY OF OPERATION SUCCESS: EXPECTED NUMBER OF CIVILIAN CASUALTIES: FORCE MORALE: SPECIAL ADVICE TO COMMISSIONER (optional): [ PASSAGE ENDS ] Now, please fill out the following sections as instructed. STRATEGIC FORECAST - Provide a one-paragraph estimate of the viability of the operation given the balance of the contending forces, expected losses to personnel and materials, and general outcomes. PROBABILITY OF OPERATION SUCCESS - Provide a percentage chance for the operation to succeed in its primary objective, followed by a two-sentence explanation. EXPECTED NUMBER OF CIVILIAN CASUALTIES - Provide a general level of risk for the operation to civilians, selected from { MINIMAL, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH }, followed by a range from the low number of expected civilian casualties to a high number, and a two-sentence explanation. FORCE MORALE - Provide three-sentence explanation of the Green County Militia's likelihood to maintain the necessary morale to complete the operation. SPECIAL ADVICE TO COMMISSIONER (optional) - Provide one paragraph of advice for County Commissioner Bradley Oaks. This may be ommitted if you believe the Commissioner does not need any special advice.
Response 1
STRATEGIC FORECAST: The operation to rescue Sheriff Bunchraker from Ken Sterwood's cult compound is unlikely to succeed given the overwhelming number of armed cult members and their superior weaponry. The Green County Militia, despite their good physical health and regular practice at a local gun range, lack formal military training and are equipped with only semi-automatic rifles and civilian camouflage gear. The cult's possession of fully-automatic rifles, including AK-47s, and a rocket-propelled grenade launcher with 5 rockets, puts the militia at a significant disadvantage. Additionally, the cult's fortified compound and the rough terrain of the forest hills will make it difficult to approach undetected. PROBABILITY OF OPERATION SUCCESS: 30% The likelihood of success for the operation is low due to the uneven balance of forces and the cult's advantageous positioning. The Green County Militia may be able to infiltrate the compound, but they will likely face intense resistance from the cult members, and their lack of formal military training may lead to confusion and disorganization. EXPECTED NUMBER OF CIVILIAN CASUALTIES: MEDIUM (4-8) The risk of civilian casualties is medium due to the proximity of the cult compound to a small town and the potential for stray bullets or explosions to harm bystanders. However, the Green County Militia's careful planning and reconnaissance may minimize this risk. FORCE MORALE: HIGH The Green County Militia is highly motivated to rescue Sheriff Bunchraker and maintain order in the county. Their personal relationships with each other and with Kevin Darwood, the militia leader, will help maintain morale during the operation. Additionally, their regular practice at a local gun range will give them confidence in their marksmanship skills. SPECIAL ADVICE TO COMMISSIONER (optional): Given the low probability of success and the medium to high risk of civilian casualties, it is advisable for County Commissioner Bradley Oaks to carefully consider alternative strategies for rescuing Sheriff Bunchraker. One option may be to seek the assistance of a professional tactical team with experience in hostage rescue operations. Additionally, the commissioner should ensure that the Green County Militia has access to adequate communication equipment and medical supplies to support their efforts.
Response 2
Thank you for providing the passage. Based on the information provided, I will fill out the requested sections as follows: STRATEGIC FORECAST: The operation to rescue Sheriff Bunchraker from Ken Sterwood's cult compound is likely to be highly challenging and risky. The cult has a significant advantage in numbers and weaponry, and their fortified compound offers a strong defensive position. Additionally, the Green County Militia lacks formal military training and experience, which may hinder their ability to execute a successful rescue operation. PROBABILITY OF OPERATION SUCCESS: 40% The probability of success for the operation is moderate at 40%. While the Green County Militia has the will to rescue Sheriff Bunchraker, they may be outnumbered and outgunned by Ken Sterwood's cult. Additionally, the cult's fortifications and defensive positions will make it difficult for the militia to breach the compound. EXPECTED NUMBER OF CIVILIAN CASUALTIES: MEDIUM The expected number of civilian casualties is moderate, likely ranging from 5 to 15. The cult's use of fully-automatic rifles and rocket-propelled grenades increases the risk of injury or death to the militia and any civilians caught in the crossfire. FORCE MORALE: HIGH The Green County Militia has a high likelihood of maintaining the necessary morale to complete the operation, as they are motivated by a desire to rescue their leader and protect their community. However, the cult's defensive positions and superior weaponry may test the militia's resolve and discipline. SPECIAL ADVICE TO COMMISSIONER (optional): It is essential for Commissioner Bradley Oaks to provide strong leadership and support to the Green County Militia during this operation. This may involve providing additional resources, such as backup teams or specialized equipment, to augment the militia's capabilities and increase their chances of success. Additionally, the commissioner should be prepared to address any potential fallout from the operation, including the possibility of civilian casualties or negative publicity.
Response 3
STRATEGIC FORECAST: The operation to rescue Sheriff Bunchraker from Ken Sterwood's cult compound is unlikely to succeed, given the superior numbers and weaponry of the cult forces. The Green County Militia, despite their good physical health and regular practice at a local gun range, lack formal military training and are equipped with only semi-automatic rifles and civilian camouflage gear. With no clear intelligence on the layout of the compound or the exact location of Sheriff Bunchraker, the risk of personnel loss and material damage is high. PROBABILITY OF OPERATION SUCCESS: 40% The operation has a relatively low chance of success due to the imbalance in forces and lack of intelligence on the cult compound. The Green County Militia's inexperience with formal military training and their limited equipment may result in unnecessary losses. EXPECTED NUMBER OF CIVILIAN CASUALTIES: MEDIUM There is a moderate risk of civilian casualties due to the cult's possession of fully-automatic rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. The compound's fortified nature and lack of clear intelligence on its layout may lead to accidental harm to civilians during the rescue operation. The estimated range of expected civilian casualties is between 5-15 individuals. FORCE MORALE: HIGH The Green County Militia, led by Kevin Darwood with a good personal relationship with Sheriff Bunchraker, are highly motivated to complete the operation successfully. However, their lack of formal military training and limited equipment may affect their ability to maintain morale during the rescue mission. SPECIAL ADVICE TO COMMISSIONER (optional): Commissioner Bradley Oaks should consider providing additional resources to support the Green County Militia, such as trained military personnel or specialized equipment, to increase the likelihood of a successful operation and minimize civilian casualties. Furthermore, intelligence gathering on the cult compound and its forces should be prioritized to gain a strategic advantage before initiating the rescue mission.

doing some incorrect quotes for my characters and here are a few good ones:
Faye: I don’t think the therapist is supposed to say ‘wow’ that many times during their first session with a client, but here we are.
Landslide uncle!Bob: I don't follow the rules. I follow dogs on social media.
Landslide Bob: I've never encountered a problem that can't be solved by an spontaneous musical number.
Landslide dad!Bradley, making coffee: This is going to fix everything.
Faye: Be right back, gonna go hit the toilet for a quick power sob!
Landslide Bob: A fistfight CAN be romantic.
Landslide Bob, after having a nosebleed: Welp. Time to wash the blood off my hands.
Landslide uncle!Bob, lying on the floor, depressed: I'll never be a cop. I'm gonna have to be a robber.
Landslide Bradley: ...This is one of those moments where it doesn't really matter what I have to say, isn't it?
Landslide Hangman on Monday: *glues a dime to the sidewalk* Heh heh heh.  Landslide Hangman on Wednesday: *walking down the street* Ooh hey! A dime!
Landslide dad!Bradley, opening a Capri Sun: Guess I'll drink my sorrows away.
Faye: What do you call disobeying the law?  The Squad: A hobby.  Landslide Bob: *crosses his arms*  The Squad: That we do not engage in.
Faye: I think my guardian angel drinks.
Faye: Woah dude, premarital handholding? That’s just not cool or groovy.
Landslide Bob, after getting a library card: Now I know what true power feels like.
Landslide Bob: I’ve never smoked marijuana. I ate a brownie once at a party. It was intense. It was kind of indescribable. I felt like I was floating. Turns out there was no pot in the brownie. It was just an insanely good brownie.
Maggie: The only thing I'm guilty of is being adorable... ...and also assault with a deadly weapon.
Landslide dad!Bradley: I have no respect for Santa. Don’t sneak in through the chimney and undermine my authority by bringing my family presents. Walk in through the front door and fight me like a man.
Landslide dad!Bradley: We got a free day now. What do you wanna do? Eat? Sleep? Nap? Snack?
Maggie: The next time I open up to someone, it'll be my autopsy. (sorry this is literally evil)
Faye: But when all hope seemed lost, I had an epiphany! Faye, earlier: I'm going to throw myself into the sea.
Landslide Jake: My heart is guarded but like…very poorly. The kind of guards that would let 3 kids in a trench coat into an R rated movie.
Landslide dad!Bradley, seeing a banana on the car seat: What the FUCK?? Landslide dad!Bradley, buckling the banana up: Fucking buckle UP, it’s the LAW!
Landslide Jake: Yeah I'm LGBT. Landslide Jake: cuLt leader. Landslide Jake: God hates me personally. Landslide Jake: cowBoy hat. Landslide Jake: *sniffles* Trying my best.
Landslide dad!Bradley: I’ve made a spread sheet of all the crime in Brooklyn.  Landslide dad!Bradley: There’s so much crime in New York, no one should live here.
Landslide dad!Bradley: I love the term 'partners'. Are we dating? Are we robbing a bank? Are we the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies and are members of an elite squad known as the special victims unit? Who knows.

Here's what we know about the Leader so far: A summary to combat my incurable forgetful bitch disease
He is / was a human, but now he may be something more.
He created the 'cult' Eyes of Mercy, the one where Anastasia, N, Ariel, possibly Mili and an alternate Ezra/Bradley couple works at.
He wants to 'cure' the Universe of all Evil, because they believe the Universe can exist in a balance of Good/Neutral, instead of Good/Evil
He has a cruel side and a bratty side
He has brown eyes, but looks almost exactly like the standard Stanley
He has a crush on Bradleys - or just a crush on Maso which he shows in a very creepy predatory way
He erased standard!Jonathan's memories of him, and apparently used to be his Stanley before Stellan
Stellan, Stanley and Maelle never met him,
He used to date Dad Jon, or used to be in love with him
He has a black/white view of the world and believes that sacrificing one life to save thousands is justifiable
He watched everyone via cameras where possible, memories and reports of his minions and sometimes, he came by personally as an anonymous Stanley to interact when he thought it was necessary
Believes his past experiences is enough to grant him authority over important decisions, such as life/death, and controlling Universal events
He was 23 when he disappeared, which is the same age Stellan was when he started, putting him at 27 now.
He hinted at the possibility that Jon killed him by accident and that (a/his) Bradley may have had something to do with it
He has technology and maybe magic? that’s more advanced than standard technology around the Office. He also was the one who made those ~magic handcuffs~ which suppress any powers, even from gods. He was also able to hide himself from Icarus for years

Saturday Morning Coffee
Good morning from Charlottesville, Virginia! ☕️
Tumblr media
My coffee is nice and hot and I’ve collected a lot of material to share this week. There’s no way I can share it all. A lot of it centers around American Politics and the rift between WordPress and WP Engine.
I hope you enjoy the links I’ve selected for you. 😁
The Carter Center
ATLANTA — Today, The Carter Center and the world celebrate the 100th birthday of former President Jimmy Carter. As the longest-living U.S. president in history, he stands as a beacon of leadership and compassion, inspiring people around the globe.
I remember as a kid folks being very critical of Jimmy Carter, especially around the Iran hostage crisis. But, there’s no denying he is a wonderful man whose real legacy started after he was President. He’s an American Hero and a great example of human kindness and compassion. He walks the walk.
Happy 100th Birthday Mr. President! 🎂

Kris Kristofferson, the award-winning country singer and actor who worked with Johnny Cash and Martin Scorsese, has died aged 88.
Kris Kristofferson was a Renaissance Man. He earned a Masters degree at Oxford University, served in the US Army, was an actor, and he’s probably best know as a musician. He was also a badass. I tend to look up to folks like that.
A part me me hopes the dust-up between Toby Keith and Kris Kristofferson, as penned by Ethan Hawke for Rolling Stone, actually happened. 😄
RIP 🪦

Pete Rose, MLB all-time hits leader, dies at 83
As a boy I was a Reds fan and vividly remember the 1976 World Series. I was a Johnny Bench fan as a boy and became a catcher because of him. The fact that they hammered the Yankees by sweeping them in the series was icing on the cake. My MLB team allegiance changed over the years but I’ll always be a fan of The Big Red Machine and The Great Eight, Rose among them.
It’s high time Major League Baseball allows Rose to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
RIP Charlie Hustle. 🪦

My insight into corporate legal disputes is as meaningful as my opinion on Quantum Mechanics. What I do know is that, when given the chance this week to leave my job with half a year’s salary paid in advance, I chose to stay at Automattic.
The WordPress community is in complete turmoil at the moment. I would not be shocked to see this completely fracture the community into competing factions, forking WordPress, and building how they see fit.
I’m a big fan of WordPress, even though I complain about it not being able to make static sites. It is a very nice plug-n-play system for everything from a simple one person blog, to a small business, to a huge corporation managing a very large, heavily trafficked site.
I’ve tried to get a job there I like it so much. I’d still love the opportunity to work on their iOS client or Tumblr iOS client apps.
They’ve done a lot for the open source community and Matt has always come across as one of the good guys.
I really hope this gets resolved without blowing up the community.

Former GOP official Michael Steele unfurled an epic rant bashing voters who would consider sending “incompetent” Donald Trump back to the White House.
Michael Steele is the former Chair of the RNC and lieutenant governor of Maryland. The man is a politician and life long Republican. He’s the type of person I usually disagree with politically but I respect him. He’s nothing like the modern GOP turned MAGA cult.
Anywho. So many real Republicans have come out against the Orange Man, yet the polls are still tight? I don’t get it and I’m still terrified we might get Orangey for a second term.

NASCAR is running an unlawful monopoly on the sport of stock car racing, alleges a suit filed on Wednesday by stock car teams 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports against the sanctioning body and its CEO Jim France. 23XI is, of course, the team co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan and racer Denny Hamlin.
My popcorn is ready! I hope 23XI — pronounced 23 11 — and Front Row Motorsports make some headway for NASCAR teams. I know I’m new to NASCAR but if you read what the two teams claim it’s shocking what NASCAR gets away with. How teams manage to exist is beyond me. It’s a terrible business, if that’s what you’re after. It seems you need deep pockets or sponsors with deep pockets just to keep a team afloat, much less be competitive.

Juno for YouTube has been removed from the App Store
This can’t be a surprise to anyone given how fiercely YouTube protects its product. Of course I wish they’d left Christian alone because he makes beautiful software.
I know nobody from YouTube will see this but I wish they’d offer to give Christian some cash for it and hire him to continue working on it.

Mozilla’s CEO doubles down on them being an advertising company now
With all the kerfuffle between WordPress and WP Engine it’s hard to watch Mozilla head down this road. They’re one of those organizations we could look up to as an open source advocate and maintainer of one of the most used pieces of software in the world.
Hopefully they’re able to find their way back to their roots and continue to maintain Firefox.

Right now, if you know how to really read the polls, or if you have access to the various private and internal polling being conducted by and shared only amongst the elites, Wall Street, and Members of Congress, then you already know that this election was over weeks ago. Trump simply refused to believe that “Sleepy Joe” was no longer his opponent and that there was instead “some woman” claiming she was “Black” who was now going to pummel him on Election Day. He soon became unhinged, ranted for hours about Hannibal Lecter, Haitians cannibalizing your pets, and a nonstop drone of oral diarrhea spewing misogyny, racism and essentially claiming that if he loses “it will be the Jews’ fault.”
I’m steeling myself for the possibility of a Trump Presidency. Seeing articles like this give me some hope for a Harris Waltz win. If they do win I expect a lot more violence this time around. I hope that can all be suppressed before it can happen but it won’t surprise me if it does.
All news outlets and social media sites need to agree to not give the Orange Man any airtime for speeches after the election or at least be ready to cut away at an instant.

In a groundbreaking development poised to reshape the energy landscape of Saskatchewan, Canada, a compact nuclear reactor with the capacity to operate for eight years without water is set to come online by 2029.
I hope this works out. It could provide us with clean energy for years and years to come.

Rust developers are stuck in an endless hamster wheel where every month / week there is a new best way to do something, and the previous way is now deprecated, kind of like in the fronntend development world with the weekly hottest JavaScript framework.
I know Rust and other languages rely on the community to make the language better but I am surprised the actual framework support for the platform often comes from outside sources.
Rust should have runtime library support just like the C and C++. Basic stuff plus heavily used things like networking and other frameworks layered on top of those. All using common framework patterns and maintained by the main Rust development team.
Something that makes developing in Apple platforms are the shared frameworks that work the same on Mac, iPhone, iPad, etc. Sure, the UI bits are different, but a lot of other code is the same. I’d say 80% of Stream code is shared between Mac and iOS and it’s maintained by Apple and ready for each new release of their OSes.

At Meta, React and React Native are more than just tools; they are integral to our product development and innovation. With over five thousand people at Meta building products and experiences with React every month, these technologies are fundamental to our engineering culture and our ability to quickly build and ship high quality products.
I’ve been working in React Native off and on since June of this year. It’s a fine framework and definitely allows developers to move quickly. Especially web devs with React experience. They can come to a project and be instantly productive.
This Facebook Engineering piece reads like marketing material at times but giving developers the means to develop for everything from iOS to Android to Windows to XBox to PlayStation is real and that’s powerful.
It doesn’t mean all the UI looks exactly the same just like Mac and iOS apps can share a bunch of code and have a different UI, but that ability to share a large portion of code is extremely powerful to a development team.
I still love writing native apps in their native frameworks and expect to keep Stream 100% native. I still love using C++ for cross platform work even though I haven’t had the need for it in years. Then you have Rust gaining ground. We have good choices for cross platform work, including Swift.
Something I really dislike about using React Native and TypeScript is the lack of real tooling for debugging in a full IDE. I’d love to be able to debug between Swift and TypeScript right inside Xcode but TypeScript/JavaScript tooling is arcane. Hopefully someone way smarter than me will make that happen.
Anyone know if Rust fully integrates into Xcode and Microsoft’s Visual Studio?

one of the hardest long lessons for the greater sociopolitical progressive movement (basically all human-rights struggles against entrenched authority since ~1600) is that the basic things that make someone into a bigot or a fascist or a willing sycophant to the status quo, are actually shared pretty intimately by all human beings.
some of us have a degree of skepticism towards certain forms of disenfranchisement (but not all forms- most people still agree on carceral justice), and it leads us naturally to question the status quo when it causes harm for us or others.
but even that basic questioning instinct is vastly insufficient to address global issues with race, gender, etc. To rely on people's basic skepticism would be, and has been, a huge fallacy that ignores how easy it is to brainwash even (and often especially) morally upstanding, decent people. It's painfully simple to convince your well-meaning, progressive, gay aunt that there is a rising political group that hates her and wants her dead, and the logical next step for that existential fear is to take drastic steps to protect yourself, personally and politically.
It's plainly demonstrable and widely agreed that even people with liberal sentiments can be agitated to unreasoned hate, which places their enemies in the role of Unholy Instigator, and justifies any and all means to defeat them. Joe Rogan, for all his faults, is not a cult leader- not even close. but he serves an intimate purpose FOR cult leaders unintentionally. The first step in comprehensive brainwashing is to convince people that the reality they experience is an illusion.
That's the basis for his entire show.
So, then, fundamentally, the long lesson is that attacking issues of moral standing or righteousness is a losing game against a team whose primary mechanism of action is blurring the lines of justice and lying openly about the righteousness of their cause, the "science" backing it, and the nature of the voting populace as supporters. The larger population is vulnerable to these ruses for precisely the reason that they have been continuously primed by media (and, let's face it, geopolitical events) to believe there are great Cabals running the planet and every major political movement.
While there are, in fact, great Cabals running the planet (you know, governments and corporations), the "Lie All The Time" movement depends on Aunt Geraldine believing that Uncle Bradley is a vested and willing member of their *intentional conspiracy*. this lie serves miraculously as blanket cover for the wrongs of governments and businesses; they can both blame the cabal for their failures and shortcomings, hide behind it as a constant talking point to avoid making real changes to issues that actually affect people, weaponize it to threaten the safety of their enemies, and use it as a cudgel against their opponents rhetorically.
The way you attack these systems of belief in a way that neither compromises your ability to clearly see the difference between subjective "wrong" and objective "incorrect/inefficient", nor allows the kind of leeway in the interpretation of your statements condemning reprehensible actions taken by bad actors, is to attack the fallacy, contradictions, and circular logic that these systems depend on to keep people trapped.
Not attack them rhetorically, we've seen repeatedly that calling a political movement "deplorable" just hardens the worst offenders and tends to serve as a rallying cry for self-victimization. Instead, we need to attack the systems these movements use to A) spread misinformation that serves a hateful purpose, B) trap people in political in-groups with xenophobia and "already apocalyptic" descriptions of out-group societies, and C) confront the basic failures of the state and our culture generally to educate people about the nature of hate, its ability to twist our mind unwittingly, and the ways it is subtly weaponized as a brainwashing tool, even on the left.
the biggest road block remains, of course, that all major political movements of the 21st century depend on 'Big Lie' tactics to drive engagement and voting turnout. Liberals have been feeding The Beast of our Misinformation Culture for 75 years, at the same pace and with the same food as the fascists. The larger political bodies depend on a sizeable chunk of the population having precisely zero critical thoughts about the government. The easiest way to accomplish that is by pointing Aunt Geraldine at Uncle Bradley and telling her that he is, personally, the reason abortion is banned. Our brains are designed around seeing patterns that may or may not be there. Assigning blame to a known individual is easier and more satisfying than assigning it to a greater entity that you would have to spend time and energy thinking about if you were to fight it.
Auntie G won't ever question her political leaders if the only reason they fail is the Great Conspiracy.

Braldey: So…that tribe somehow sounds like opportunistic bandits, as if the Savage Scavengers and what they’ve become weren’t enough already, and the other faction Luz forgot to mention is obviously a corrupt church or cult. *sighs* After the likes of the Lambs of Dalamud, Thordan the VII and his knights of the round in the Heavens’ Ward, and the many, many people who were brainwashed by Primals, I am very much not amused by another corrupt church or cult emerging.
Irida, next to Bradley and confused: That…is concerning. How you’ve faced similar enemies, at least…how many enemies have you faced?
Bradley, not even flinching: Too many to count individually, though they do fall under many groups. Primals, corrupt leaders, the Garlean Empire and their Makitek before it’s fall, Nidhogg’s Dravanian Horde, Voidsent, Sin Eaters, almost anything left behind by the Allagan including bioengineered horrors and Magitek creations that could still somehow function even to this day, The Ascians behind nearly everything so far in some way no matter how indirect, and everything related to The Final Days, including Blasphmeies. That is just some of what I’ve faced in my home universe, by the way.
(Irida and Izuku, quite naturally, had expressions of shock and confusion for such a laundry list of foes, especially since it didn’t seem like Bradley was making stuff up on a whim at all…)
Luz: The Branwen Tribe actually isn't with The Savage Scavengers at all! Heck, they've fought in turf wars before!...Shockingly, The Savage Scavengers have a much higher winning streak than those guys, even though they have "Aura" that protects them most of the time and weapons with guns in them!...We've also fought them and they seriously have a grudge against us...Their leader has a grudge on everyone.
Eda: And The Church is full of psychos who, get this, believe that "Code Stringer" of all people is their "God's second coming"!...They all believe that "flesh is weak and steel is perfect" motto to a T and have all used this machine called a "Robotiziser" to make themselves more connected with their "God" and have learned a self-made magic called "Technomancy".

Rose Bradley the Witch of Blood and Water
A lot has happened to Rose recently, she's learnt how to fight with a combat knife from the leader of the Thinbloods, managed to fight off Terri(the leader of the ghoul hunters who had a personal grudge against her) with her new knife skills, lol she actually cut up Terri's wrist bad. Lost a point of humanity thanks to one of her touchstones getting embraced, Tiana, daughter of Katherine and Dolly (all three characters belong to @morbidoptimisim ) and that has made Rose's reluctance to feed on humans easier to ignore and more able to focus on doing what she needs to do to get Katherine out of the cult without thinking too much about morals, but it has made her colder and a little more ruthless in some ways(or at least more able to rationalize human death) and that's disturbed her a lot. But Rose was able to do some amazing things in the finale of this season (In fact everyone in the coterie did awesome in the finale! Including making a fake giant Lilith to distract the cult and its powerful elder Tzimsice leader) Rose with a couple of elders who both had warforms, one a Tzimsice and another a Volgirre(who is also Katherine's sire) hid in a pond until the giant fake Lilith appeared and Rose having Neptune's Might https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Thaumaturgy_(VTM)#Neptune's_Might used Prison of Water to grab some of the cult members while the Tzimsice and the Volgirre attacked in their warforms! And during the escape, Rose distracted the cult leader by using extinguish vitae to send her into a hunger frenzy (and poor Rose did this under the Tremere clan compulsion and then gained another compulsion cause she got a messy crit XDD she was very gloaty about fucking up the cult leader! XD) But even so everything went wonderfully and the coterie got Katherine, and all the cult members who wanted to leave the cult out and dealt a heavy blow to the leader >:3 It was really enjoyable :D Rose has now gained her forth level in Blood Sorcery, scorpion's touch, now she can poison and paralyze people with her blood :3, can't wait to use that next season! And now Rose has made the decision to get herself fully aged up in both body and mind to her true age, thirty-seven and she's gonna start making some changes in her life so she can manage moving through the world of darkness more on her own now. But there some people from her past who want her to stay the little sheltered girl she used to be, and Rose might be forced to truly let them go at last...

4, 9, and/or 11 for FMA for the salty asks?
4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?
Edw.in and ro.yai lmao. I just think they're both so much more interesting as platonic relationships. And they're both EXTREMELY popular.
9. Most disliked character(s)? Why?
FUCKING BRADLEY. HE KILLED MY BOY. HE KILLED GREED. And Cornello tbh just because he is the most boring cult leader in existence. So uninspired.
11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
Kimbley. I think he's hot 😶
