Culling game foreshadowing - part 4
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Tumblr media
This looks similar to the flowers from ch. 265? For context...
Noritoshi is wondering whether his mom actually hates him, feeling like no one needs him. Why did she name him Noritoshi Kamo? Pronounced the same as the most evil sorcerer in history (actually, it was Kenjaku)?
Couldn't fit in this post, but Megumi's drink seems relevant to the flowers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then we get to see her side of things. This already seemed like it was about Megumi and Yuuji...
And immediately after, it cuts to Angel / Hana speaking to Megumi, who was asleep for days. He doesn't respond to her, only Yuuji.
Gege I see what you're doing.
And didn't part 1 of this series mention destiny to Megumi? Why are they all saying that.
Then Takaba shows up, and I hope this happens too.
Tumblr media
Words aren't the answer, killing is healing, on God this is about Sukugo and Gojo will return to teach Sukuna about love.
Tumblr media
Is that Geto?
Is this about the systems failing justice, so Maki and Geto and Higuruma take it onto their own hands? Is Maki going to kill Mei Mei (who I assume they were just talking about)?
I don't rly know what's going on here I'm just throwing noodles at the wall to see if they're cooked.
Tumblr media
Yuuta shifted his domain's location, instead of being over an ocean, it was where sorcerers could lurk and Maki could attack Sukuna.

okay i need to take a deeeeep breath
Tumblr media Tumblr media
im actually scared of how manipulative kenjaku is?? 😰 suguru def won't approve of this behavior.
also it kind of doesn't make sense that he thinks that the culling game has no true gamemaster when he literally broke the rule system to add two new rules.
but then i guess it's bc he has the intention of putting drawbacks… but ehhh… idk
Tumblr media

Gege really said: "Bold of yall to assume that Yuuji Itadori is the only person I could turn into Sukuna's vessel."

If Sukuna is a curse
Then Kashimo is a curse
Yet Kashimo is treated as a human
Sukuna doesn't get that basic decency

No, but imagine a JJK and Ghost Hunt crossover where SPR gets caught up in the Shibuya Incident and then the Culling Game.

I heard a theory that if Yuji's side adds a rule where Kenjaku and Sukuna must die for the culling game to end, that'll work as counter action to Kenjaku's new rule added to the culling game.
Just imagine. It's either that Kenjaku and Sukuna kill all players left to win or all of the Yuji's side (if not all players) kills them first. Big fucking move.

I'm currently on the Culling Game arc in Jujutsu Kaisen, I keep zoning out 💤😪 there are just too many new characters which I don't care about (they could've put more chapter for the existing characters instead of killing them off 🤦🏻‍♀️ in Shibuya arc) ....
When will this end? I'm just on chapter 165 and I feel like this will go on forever 😭 helppppp does anyone have a summary for this arc for the important plot points?

Culling game foreshadowing - part 1/?
Part 2
Part 3
These are all taken from the time Megumi and Reggie fought.
Posted as of ch. 267 (4 chapters left)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
First image: the black shadow dripping down looks like Sukuna's tattoos - they're double bands when he's possessing someone, and single bands when he's in his true form (but it's still Megumi)
That spine looking thing might also resemble the merger (but I'm not sure, we might have only seen it from Kenjaku's imagination).
Second: idk it just feels prophetic. I might choose to read this as lest you die like a fool. Not that anything receipt man has to say should be taken too seriously (sorry Reggie but you annoy me).
Third: TELL ME THIS ISN'T NAJDHAJKAD GOD what chapter was that? 264? Idk. But it happened again.

Merging with Tengen and boundaries between humans
In chapter 145, there was something that Tengen mentioned which was hard to understand. Who am I kidding? The whole of JJK chapter 145 and 146 had info dump that was hard to parse.
Check out the image below!
Tumblr media
Well, after a lot of rereads, and taking chapter 202 in account, we can now make a better assumption of what Tengen actually meant by this dialogue.
When they mentioned that  the boundaries between people would cease to exist, and the evil from them would spread instantaneously, the shut-in sorcerer was being too symbolic with their words.
To put it in a much simpler way, ill will and negative emotions result in cursed energy.
So as Kenjaku later mentions in chapter 202, if humanity were to merge with Tengen, who was now like a cursed spirit, then the result would be a cursed spirit with the cursed energy from millions of people.
Unlike the normal cases, this cursed spirit would not be an entity that is formed due to the fear of a particular concept (like volcanoes or forests), or due to the negative energy that exists around certain establishments (like schools or hospitals).
Instead, all the cursed energy present in non-sorcerers throughout Japan will be combined to give shape to this being.
Needless to say, it would be stronger than any cursed spirits ever seen; even a special grade wouldn’t be able to hold a candle to it.
Now, here’s the interesting part. Usually, the powerful cursed spirits we have seen till now have a power and personality/conscience that is derived from what it represents (think Jogo, Mahito and Hanami).
However, in case of Tengen merging with humanity, not only does this cursed spirit lack any sort of concept to associate with, but due to Tengen being an evolved being and merging with the conscience of over a million people, it would be hard to say what form or shape this cursed spirit would take.
No, it won’t be a single big cursed spirit, at least not at first.
According to me, it’ll be something like this – every person turns into a cursed spirit, however, they will have a shared conscience, thanks to merging with Tengen and the boundaries between humans not existing anymore.
So even if one person were to go out of control, this whole being would rage. That’s what Tengen tried to say in chapter 145. It really would be chaos which even Kenjaku can’t moderate.
What are your thoughts on this? Let me know!
Also, if you are interesting to know why Kenjaku started the Culling Game and what his goals are, click the link below! This write-up is part of that bigger article and will help put things into perspective!

i know i have been obsessed with genshin impact lately but i haven't forgotten about jjk and i've been thinking a lot on how megumi will redeem himself from losing his sister just like how maki did when mai died.
like maki and toji, megumi has a lot of potential. and he's going to make the cycle of change come into full circle. he's one of the last standing members of the zenin clan (and hes the head of it!) and he holds one of the most powerful techniques in jujutsu history (ten shadows technique).
there are theories of gojo and megumi engaging in battle, repeating the ancient clash of the six eyes and ten shadows, but with sukuna in the scene, it's probably going to be a battle between gojo and sukuna in megumi's body. if that happens, then it's going to be a shitshow and the audience would be on the edge as we witness who will win.
in a way, again, if it [the battle] does happen, it's also going to be some sort of history repeating itself because gojo is now fighting toji's son. and it's gonna hurt a lot. because unlike toji, megumi was full of life and had a reason to live despite his stoic demeanor. toji on the other hand, relied on his assassination missions, money and gambling.
unlike megumi, toji was chasing for superficial things in a feeble attempt to have a reason to live.
and his gnawing emptiness came to full circle when gojo killed him, when he literally pierced a hole in his heart. and that's where it became clear that he truly is a man beyond redemption.
i went on a tangent about toji again but anyways.
that's one scenario.
if there's some sort of miracle that would happen and megumi kills sukuna within him, then that's honestly great. but i'm not too sure what would happen next. i mean, kenjaku is still out there.
if there's one thing that megumi needs to fight, that is his fear of failure. tsumiki's death, to him, meant that he failed to save his sister.
and i think we'll see events related to that in the coming chapters.
i'm curious how yuuji will react though.
and gojo… well… there sure are a lot of things waiting for him outside of that damn box
GEGE LET HIM OUT PLEASE-

Ch 202
Yuki was a potential star plasma vessel???? How did i miss this on first read??? And more importantly WHY didn’t she get fused? Especially after riko died??? Yuki asks that and tengen says “oh I accepted my condition lol!” but even if that were true for them I doubt the higher ups would just have gone along with it knowing the many potential risks leaving tengen unmerged would pose
Apparently yuki can hear the individual voices of the past SPVs that tengen has merged with. Spooky.
Kenjaku here says that “the customary prelude to merging japan’s non-sorcerers has finished.” I remember wheb this ch came out people were saying the merging had happened but they actually never say that, only that the ‘customary prelude’ is finished. I wonder if that refers to all the foreign soldiers that got killed which could he some sort of blood sacrifice for whatever ritual kjk is doing but i need to double check the timeline to see it that had already happened as of now (nov 16 12am)
Kenjaku says that merging with tengen and turning people into sorcerers to him is just “a step before the merger.” So their ultimate goal isnt to turn people into sorcerers. My theory is actually that they want to create something that goes BEYOND curses, sorcerers, and normal humans. And the only creatures like that that we know to exist so far are sukuna and tengen (and possibly angel’s “god”).
They also says that when yuki suspected they wanted to use the japanese as a CE source she was thinking “a lot like [them].” So he wants to do something of that nature. I have half an idea that the non sorcerers that get killed (soldiers) are kindling for the ritual (a ‘source’) while the strong sorcerers that have survived the CG are actually the subject of the tengen merging. Or maybe cursed spirits. Since they say the “new form of CE” can be attained by “advancing CS to a higher level.” Much to think about.
Tumblr media
I think kenjaku is obfuscating his real plan here. What would be the point of merging non-S with tengen (someone theres only 1 of and therefore a unique and precious resource) just to make more sorcerers or more curses? Theres sorcerers and curses galore out there. i think he will make the ‘uzumaki’ out of the survivors (curses and sorcerers alike, since we know there’s curses that are considered CG players like that roach guy) and THEN extract something from there. What though idk.
