I am so excited that Synapse's release of this film is finally available!

You can order it with the limited slipcover at DiabolikDVD, which is a seller I highly recommend in general.

I had sworn off buying any other movies for the rest of June at least, but I had to order this one.

[Note: This appears to just be the US cut, but it features "Deleted & Alternate Scenes" so hopefully that gives us at least a tiny glimpse of the original cut of the film]

The great thing about this movie is that this poster art is both entirely accurate and hilariously dishonest, thanks to the crocodile constantly changing size.

We’re back with the second half of the story and I choose to believe that everyone zoned out during Nack’s explanation to think of the Chaotix’s profiles and some bad jokes

That second panel is the face of a guy who's tired of explaining that he has a shrink ray

I feel like the shrink ray thing comes up in about half of the StC stories Nack appears in. At least he managed to get the pyramid back to normal again though

Skipping the fight scene, but you all know how this ends

Everyone’s being very mean to Charmy as usual and I’m distracted by the pretty trans flag coloured skyline - more evidence in my “StC Knuckles cannot be contained by gender” pile

Ngl I thought Knuckles was trying to shrink Nack there. Which does happen to Nack at some point, though Knuckles isn't involved

But don’t worry, he’s just returning the treasure back to its normal size and exploding Nack’s ship in the process. Which actually sounds pretty damn dangerous if you take off the cartoon logic goggles lol

If there are any Mighty/Nack shippers out there, this panel’s for you. Though it seems as if StC Mighty still only has eyes for Espio. Anyway, Nack’s been caught, time to go home

I legit got a chuckle out of this ending. And I just really like how Vector is drawn here on the left panel. That’s the last we see of the Chaotix in this special, as the next two stories don’t involve them, but we’ll be catching up with what kind of adventures they get up to in their own stories as soon as the next issue I’m covering after this one
