With a little help from my friends

Before crashing into my goose duvet (it's🥶, in here), I wanted to take thirty seconds and thank you all. Yes, again: for having experienced my fair share of loss, I prefer sounding soppy, rather than not acknowledging it. I believe people must be thanked and saluted every time they share something with you, gift you something (and perhaps most importantly, their time) or simply lend a helping hand, because tomorrow is just another day, unfathomable.

This was another intense night in which I found myself in overdrive, despite having the best intentions to retire early with Bill Bryson's Notes from a Small Island (slightly, only slightly outdated, but hysterically funny). No regrets, though.

A big hug and a big thank you to all of those who bombarded my DMs with questions and shared their thoughts - they helped me calibrate, a LOT. A special thanks to the one of you who shared the definitive Getty pic with KW, I was on a different track myself and had to stop and readjust.

A particularly moved and heartfelt thanks to tonight's amazing consigliere and trusted friend. I feel honored. I borrowed stole a lot of intuitive guesses & witticisms, in the process. Without them and that genuine, sharp honesty I absolutely love, this post would probably have been rubbish. If any, credit must be shared and I insist.

I might be many things you like about me, but Wonder Woman I definitely am not. Without you pitching in, I'd more often than not err and this is what I treasure the most about our quips.

I feel absolutely undeserving.

I am ready to bet the farm and Noah's Ark - a) the elevator pic is not even recent and b) the elevator pic was taken by Peter Lueders in his own building's elevator. In New York, 16 Beaver Street (somewhat midway from Wall Street to Battery Park, in Lower Manhattan), where Lueders is based.

I believe Caitriona's wood paneled prep room is, as I already told you, a rented serviced apartment (like hips, that kitchenette corner doesn't lie) more or less close to the Critics' Choice Award venue. Somewhere in Los Angeles, California.
