Today I learned about the Totally Kid Carousel in Harlem NY.

Artist Milo Mottola was inspired by the rush of winning an art contest as a child and wanted to give children in the community that feeling of pride and accomplishment in an even bigger way. Each child whose drawing was chosen for use in the carousel received a $50 savings bond (the Prize the artist won as a child) as well as free rides FOR LIFE!

The VIII Annual Meeting of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) took place in Chengdu, China (designated UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2010), from 27 to 29 September 2014. This video is a summary of the 2 days meetings, attended by delegated from the 41 members of the Creative Cities in September 2014. This video was produced by Changsha Broadcast & TV Station thanks to the generous support of the city of Changsh.

Where is Our Fair City?

Hello, Loyal Policy. This is Producer Jeffrey. If you've looked at the Our Fair City podcast feed recently, you might be wondering - where did Our Fair City go?

We are going to try an experiment - really doing science, you could say! We’re going to put the show in reruns. Our Fair City was originally ran 8 seasons from 2009-2018. And we think the show is still relevant to our world right now. So starting in September, we’ll be rereleasing the show.

You can listen to season 1 right now. It is an hour long single release that gets you right into the complex world of HartLife.

Starting in September on this feed, we are going to release season 2 rapidly in a 30-day period. It’s going to be almost daily. And then starting in October, we’ll be releasing weekly.

So if you think it would be fun to be part of listening to the show along with lots of other people, please join us! Tell your friends! We think it will be a fun journey to take together.

The 180 cities which currently make up the UCCN work together towards the common goal of placing creativity and cultural industries at the heart of their development plans at the local level and cooperating actively at the international level.

this is supposed to be right after atlantis sank & fintan is helping light the city with his fire 🤲

i thought it would be a neat idea for this set of prompts because 1. obviously this was a huge change in the elvin world (as well as the human world), and 2. even though pyrokinesis has been banned for a while now the city still uses fintan’s balefire as its main light source (the ‘constant’)

(also bronte is there. because i couldn’t resist making it slightly gay. he’s doing his emo longing or whatever)
