Welcome to Cody Day 2/2/24
Follow and join in on this once in a lifetime event where we celebrate our favorite clone, Marshall Commander Cody! This blog is dedicated to promoting, sharing, and archiving fan-made works created for February 2nd, 2024, a.k.a. Cody Day, as the date matches his designation number: CC - 2224.
Basic Information and Rules:
How are posts shared? In order for posts to be reblogged here, make sure to use any of these tags: Cody Day, Cody Day 2224, Coday. Alternatively, creators can directly tag this account @codyday2224 to ensure that their post isn't missed. Submissions will be accepted.
What kind of posts are allowed? Any and all types of fanwork made for Cody Day will be reblogged. Fanart, fanfiction, gif sets, videos, etc. So long as the post has Cody as the main focus.
Writers who post on AO3 can also share their fanfiction in this collection created by @yellowisharo
Is there a deadline? Real life can often take priority, which is completely understandable. Despite the date of this event, creators can tag and submit posts up to a week after, February 9, 2024. Afterwards, no more posts will be reblogged and this account will remain as an archive for Cody Day.
Are there any themes or prompts? No. Cody Day is a free-for-all unmoderated event where anyone can create whatever they wish. However, if prompts are desired to get the creative juices flowing, @clonehavensotm has a post for generating a randomized Cody Bingo card: Link to post Link to bingo card generator
Posts with mature or explicit themes must be tagged appropriately. Work that contains content that may make others uncomfortable will be tagged (example: blood, death, trypophobia, etc). Explicit and suggestive work will be tagged "nsfw". It is everyone's responsibility to ensure they have blocked key words and tags so that they do not scroll across triggering content.
Are ships allowed? Yes. So long as the post is Cody centric. All ships will be tagged depending on who is paired together.
Are clone x clone ships allowed? Yes. All posts with clone x clone ships will be tagged as "clone shipping".
Rules of Conduct:
This blog is intended to be a safe space for everyone who wants to celebrate Commander Cody. As such, hate and harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
Please be respectful of each other. This event is meant to be a fun time for fans to join in.
As the old fandom sayings go: "Don't like, don't look." and "Ship and let ship."
If there are any questions, thoughts, or concerns, feel free to send a question to this blog.
Happy creating, everyone! Let's gear up for a great Cody Day!

your gifsets are perfect, I'm always in awe of what you can do and you're creativity!!! Could you please explain how you made the broken glass gif with different gif in it on photopea? https://www.tumblr.com/dengswei/754916132337729536/userdramas-creator-bingo-green-asiandramanet?source=share and would it be possible to do something similar with other shapes? Thank you for your lovely creations <33
heyy thanks so much!! and of course! i have to admit the way i do it might be a little bit tedious compared to like everyone else (though i don't know how photoshop users or other photopea users might do it 🤣) okay this is gonna end up being so long because of the way i do it so i'm sorry about that and i hope it makes sense 😭
okay i have to admit i couldn't find the texture i've seen people use for the shattered glass effect so i actually used a photopea default brush from this pack
to download the brush set go to window -> plugins -> brush and then search for wall cracks brush (it's literally the only wall related brush set in photopea so it'll show up the moment you download it)
so for the gif i did above i did my giffing the usual way of creating & colouring for different gifs seperatly and then adding them all to one project (it doesn't have to be 4 gifs i just chose 4 because that's what i wanted to show in this gif)
i've done this twice once for this set and another time for this the blood of youth set and i have to say the most important part of this is keep multiple versions of the brush in the position you want as you can so once you've used it to test it out and you like that version keep it because unless you can manage to position the brush in the exact same place every time you're gonna need to reference those (or even use the magic wand tool for it later) and also you need to keep at least a white on black background version for the outline
in the brush pack the one i used was this one: (3564, crack b 9)
for this part i just say play around with both positioning and sizing of the brush, it automatically opens with the size 3000+ which is fine i think with the tushan jing one (the green gif above) i stuck with that size and just kept clicking around until i got the positioning i wanted (this is another reason why i said what i said in the paragraph above because if the brush size is bigger than 1000 it's doesn't come out in the exact positioning as you expect it too
i decide the positioning of the gifs on the way i like the brick brush looking rather than the other way around, this is the positioning i went with if you're curious & would like to use it if that's easier 🤣
you'll need to keep this as a seperate layer at the top, i had it set to screen and then added a colour fill layer clipped on later so that i had the outline for when i was masking
so to start off i have the base gif which i do nothing to, that stays as it is, with the brush layer above set to screen
next is where you want to position your other gifs it may benefit to figure this out all at first before doing any of the masking so you know which parts you want to erase and which parts you want to keep
so this is what i decided with my positioning looking at where each of the cracks are
now comes the tedious part, in some ways the way i do this is a lot similar to how i do grid but it's not as easy (for grid photopea automatically locks onto the squares making it easier to mask, here you have to do it all manually)
first put a raster mask on all of the other gifs except for the base gif & use the magic wand tool on the brush layer so you get the outline of the brush and you mask that away from your gif (so if you turned off the brush layer it should look a little something like this: (it's not perfect but it won't matter that much because you should have the original turned on at the end anyway) (you don't have to do this step tbh i just did it because i thought it looked better)
so with the brush layer turned on you can use that as a template to which parts of the cracks you want to erase, you can either use the magic wand or the paint brush tool it really depends on how much of a perfectionist you are and whether or not the sharp edges bother you (plus some of the cracks have small openings so it might erase another part you don't want if you use the magic wand tool so it really is another instance of playing around and seeing what you like, and it might also change once you add the other gifs too)
so this is how it looks after i've done that (notice in the middle you can still see the edge of the gif? that won't matter because one of the other 2 gifs i still have yet to mask will cover that) & just repeat the same thing for the other gifs you want to add
this is how my masking folders look if you're curious
& last but not least i added a green colour fill layer clipped to the brush layer and set that to darken to get the green effect (make sure that the brush layer is still set to screen)
& once you've merged all of the gifs together you should get your desired outcome like the gif above (make sure that all the gifs have the same amount of frames too)
when it comes to other shapes i'm sure you can! like i did a tutorial with the grid version here, i guess it'll just be a lot of trial and error & finding a texture or brush with different shapes to try it out with kinda like how i did with both versions of this (i definitely did it a lot better this time around compared to the first version i did of this)
hopefully this wasn't too long or too confusing, if anything is please feel free to ask me again and i'll try and explain it a little better 🤣

↳ You are also allowed to combine our events with other organized bangs, bingos, fests, etc. as long as the requirements are met.
Please use one square from your card per chapter/fic.
"Choose not to warn" fics are also allowed, just please tag your works appropriately. We don't want to restrict your creativity with this event. This means dark fiction, dead dove content, fandom, original, and rpf works are welcome!
Your submissions for this event should be new and never seen before content. A new chapter in an already in progress fic is acceptable. A new installment to an already in progress series is also acceptable.

Dear companions in darkness, the wait is finally over! We'd like to thank everyone who participated in our little guessing game, we got a lot of interesting answers.
For the month of November, we bring you a fun low-pressure bingo inspired by Lestat, that you can fill up at your leisure throughout the month.
You can use the prompts on the bingo card to write fanfics, make fanart, amvs, edits or any other creative outlet to show your appreciation for our beloved Brat Prince.
You can find the rules and guidelines for the event here. The link to the collection can be found here.
Don't forget to tag with #vflestatbirthdaybingo and/or tag us at @vampirefest so that we can find your posts.
Here is the complete bingo card for our birthday boy!
You can find the full detailed prompts below the cut.
Happy Lestat Month!
1. "My lord, the Wolfkiller": The killing of the wolves, a moment that comes to define Lestat for all eternity. You can explore this fundamental event in Lestat's life, the way it altered the course of his life and his family dynamics, and the symbolism it came to represent in Lestat's later life.
2. First love I The witches' place: For Nickistat lovers out there, this is your time to shine! It's also a chance to explore another formative moment of Lestat's life—his experience at the witches' place—when Lestat came to the fundamental understanding that there is no meaning in the end - not to the cruelty, not to the laws of men - all that exists is the one life he's living and the aesthetic of it all.
3. The performer: Actor | Rockstar: Performing is Lestat's second nature, either to present an image of himself to others to earn their love, or to hide this true self. From the time he is a young man, Lestat is awed by actors and artists, they create worlds and life out of nothingness. Some of Lestat's best and happiest moments are on the stage, acting or singing for his adoring public.
4. Rue Royale era: For decades, 1132 Rue Royale was the home of our favourite little vampire family. A family that, according to Lestat, shouldn't have lasted as long as it did. Here you can explore the dynamics between the unholy family, between Lestat and Louis, and the highs and lows of this period in Lestat's life. As Lestat said, he has never been as happy as in that little house on Rue Royale.
5. Free Space: This is your chance to explore any themes or moments in our brat prince's life outside of the prompts proposed. Let your creativity run wild!
6. "I don't like myself, you know.! love myself, of course. I'm devoted to myself till my dying day. But I don't like myself.": Use this prompt to explore Lestat's insecurities and his complicated relationship with himself, from his abandonment issues to his reflections on his body, his monstrosity and so much more.
7. Lust for life: Here you can explore Lestat the dreamer, Lestat the hedonist, Lestat the embodiment of hunger. He has a lust for blood, love, adventure, for a better life filled with more excitement and lived to the fullest. Lestat takes what he wants and follows his every whim.
8. Resilience: Lestat is the metaphorical cockroach of the Vampire Chronicles universe. Whatever life throws at him, he rolls with the punches and finds a way to survive and make the best of every situation. He always finds a way to reinvent himself and to keep moving forward. With this prompt, you can explore Lestat's defiance in the face of obstacles and his resilience even under the worst circumstances.
9. The Brat Prince | Prince Lestat era: Set your creations in the Prince Lestat era or simply explore Lestat's bratty nature that earned him the moniker "The Brat Prince".

Thank you Anon - for your contribution to the 2023 Klaine bingo event! ~Jen The Bingo Collection now on Ao3!
1. Debut Fanfic
Trick or Treat by bitbybit (puttingittogether) @bitbybitwrites
Summary: It’s Halloween and Blaine’s favorite time of year. Little does he know that his husband has a bit of a trick and treat waiting for him when he gets home.
Based off of the Klaine Creative Challenge #1/ Halloween/Costume Klaine from the Klaine 40 FB group.
Prompt: where Kurt is in costume and ready to go out, and Blaine walks in and sees him like that. Inspired by Chris Colfer's 2021 Halloween video from Instagram and his outfit.
2. Page-turning Fanfic that made you stay up past your bedtime:
Soulsongs and Seastars by @GleefulPoppet
In a world where Doms and subs depend on the symbiotic relationship their pheromones provide, it can be a matter of life and death to go too long without a claim. When one of the most powerful Doms in New York comes home for some much-needed family time, he stumbles upon a scene that throws his instincts into high alert as he witnesses a sub do something he’s never seen before. Will the bravery of one man change his life forever? Kurt Hummel knows there’s only a one-in-a-million chance of finding his Soulsong, but what are the odds it could happen in a run-down mall in Lima, Ohio?
3. Fanfic that made you reach for a box of tissues:
The Edge of the Light by gemjam
After Kurt calls off their wedding, Blaine spirals into a bad place that he never manages to get out of. He accepts his life, working the streets at night and sleeping his days away, until a chance encounter two years later leads Kurt back into his life, and Blaine has to re-evaluate everything to see if he can really earn a happy ending.
4. Fic where one has an unusual occupation.:
Bicycle Patrol Unit by CoffeeAddict80 @caramelcoffeeaddict
When NYPD bicycle cop, Blaine Anderson, begins to fall for Kurt Hummel - the gorgeous man that he first notices while Kurt is jogging through the park during Blaine’s patrol there - it causes a rift between him and his patrol partner, Sebastian Smythe
5. Wild Card - any fanfic you wish to highlight.:
Yule Be Mine by @scatterthestars
Crashing weddings is nothing new for Kurt. Being caught, however, is. When a handsome stranger comes to his rescue, he has no problem going along with Blaine's plan of pretending to be his boyfriend for the night. But one thing leads to another and Kurt soon finds himself agreeing to spending a week with Blaine and his family for Christmas. What can go wrong? He'll play pretend. Hang ornaments on the tree, decorate some cookies, and have fun in the snow. He won't fall for Blaine's family. And definitely won't fall for the handsome, great guy he's pretending to date. Right?
6. Fanfic set during the summer:
Miles To Go by hundredindecisions
In the wake of Finn’s death, Kurt struggles to keep up with schoolwork at NYADA or engage with his life in general. He finally finds purpose again when he decides to spend the summer venturing west, to scatter Finn’s ashes in the Pacific Ocean. The road trip is long and lonely and challenging, but Kurt’s luck starts to turn around when he meets a handsome man named Blaine, who’s heading to California for his own reasons. After crossing paths in Colorado, they decide to travel together. As they get closer to the west coast they start to let down their walls, learning more about each other and revealing what they’re really seeking on this trip.
7. Fanfic is written for a challenge.
Myosotis series by maanorchidee ( Written for Klaine Advent Challenge 2019)
Kurt remembers meeting Blaine very vividly. After all, they only just met. Blaine also remembers meeting Kurt very vividly, but to him, it's been years since they met. Now, the two of them have to find ways to (re)connect and see where their relationship goes.
8. Fanfic that made you laugh out loud.
Skylight by DivineLady91
When Blaine's mom calls from the airport to inform her son that she's shown up early for Christmas, he and Kurt are forced to scramble and clean before she arrives. Seeing as they were indulging in morning-long sex-capades, they'll need all the time they have. But their cleaning efforts get called on account of something inappropriate stuck in an unexpected place.
9. Fanfic that you enjoyed using a genre/trope that you don't normally read.
Until My Dying Breath by EmilianaDarling
*Sorry written 2012 - doesn't qualify for this bingo which is 2018-23!

If you would like your submissions reblogged, tag us @secretcrypticevents!
🌙 You may use the “creatures&cryptids”, “intothewildsbingo”, and “secretbingo” tags in your tumblr posts. No spaces, thank you!
😈 Communication
How will people find out about the event? By good ole word of mouth (sharing this event with discretion) and crediting the event in whatever “bingos & events” section on your tumblr posts/ao3 or squidge end notes.
😈 Collections
ao3 collection: Into the Wilds Bingo
squidge collection: Into the Wilds Bingo
😈 Your Masterlist
Completing your initial card and submitting a masterlist is the only way you can request another one, so we urge you to request creatures you’re actually going to create works for.
Using a masterlist is how we will verify you have completed your card. Your filled bingo card must be included somewhere in your post.
Do not @ us on your masterlist. Use the link below to submit it to us!
😈 The Card
There will be 6 versions to choose from! Moon, moonlight, starlight, sun, dark sun, and dark moon.
There are only 9 slots on the card so you’ll need to tell us exactly what creatures you want on there. You can look through our blog posts here to help you choose OR do your own research, doesn’t matter. We’ll literally put whatever you tell us on your card.
Cards will be delivered via TUMBLR SUBMISSION so please have that setting turned on. Please have all post types enabled for submissions. Make sure you have the "hide (your blog name) from people without an account” setting turned off as well, otherwise you won’t receive anything. We won’t be scrambling around trying to find you either.
We specify tumblr submission instead of tumblr dm because some users don’t allow messages from people they don’t follow, this will make it easier for us.
If you don’t have tumblr, we will use the email you provided in the sign up form to send your card. THIS OPTION IS ONLY AVAILABLE IF YOU DON'T HAVE TUMBLR.
😈 Special Assignment
As a little aside from all the rules, we’d like to inject even more fun into this event! Use the phrase “into the wilds” somewhere on your masterlists but be creative! It can be a creative concept adapted into the aesthetic of your post, a divider, moodboard, anything. Just have fun!
No it’s not mandatory.
⭐️ Those of you without tumblr, you may put your email in the TUMBLR URL slot. ⭐️
Attention participants: Follow this account to receive submission announcements for future events and housekeeping!

Cherik Bingo Information/FAQ
What is a bingo?
A bingo is a fandom event in which upon signing up, you'll be sent a bingo card with prompts to use to create fan content. These prompts can be interpreted however you’d like, but they must be connected to whatever it is you create.
What types of fan content is permitted in the Cherik Bingo?
Anything at all, so long as it is centered around Cherik! Writing, artwork, edits, videos, crafts, moodboards, music, literally whatever you’d like! Be creative!
Is there a minimum amount of works I need to create?
Nope! You aren’t required to get a bingo or fill out your whole card or even make anything at all if you don’t want to. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the wonderful ship that is Cherik.
How long do I have to submit my fills?
You can submit your fills from the time you get your card through July 31, 2023. No fills will be counted after that point.
How long will it take before I receive my card?
It could take anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on how busy I am. If a week has passed after you’ve signed up and you still haven’t received a card, please dm me on tumblr or reach out over discord, and I will make sure to help you out.
Can I request a second card?
If you fill up your whole card, you can request another, but if the first card is not filled, no second card will be given.
Can I use multiple squares for one fill?
No, sorry. While you can create something that adheres to multiple prompts, each singular work (or singular chapter if it's a longer fic) can only count for one prompt.
Can I crosspost with other events?
Absolutely, so long as the other event allows it too.
Can I collaborate with others?
Of course! Just make sure everyone is credited properly!
Can I trade or replace my squares?
I will not be replacing squares on anyone's card after they are sent out, but there is an option to swap squares with other participants, and there will also be a set of prompts each month that can be used to replace any square on a card (but only one square can be replaced by a monthly prompt each month).
Can I submit works I’ve posted prior to this event?
The goal of this event is to add to the existing library of Cherik fanwork, so this event will only be accepting new works.
Are there rules about creating dark or NSFW content?
Create whatever you want! Just make sure everything is tagged properly, so that people looking to avoid certain content are able to!
Where do I submit my fills once I’ve made them?
Fill out the fill submission form here! This way, I can make sure you are able to receive any badges you've earned!
You can also submit to our Ao3 collection, though this is not mandatory.
What are those badges you mentioned?
There are four badges that can be earned.
- Completed a square
- Got a bingo
- Blacked out whole card
- Used a monthly prompt every month
I may give them titles at some point, but I haven't yet.
This all sounds great! How do I sign up?
Fill out the sign up form here!
Is there a place where I can chat with others involved in the Cherik Bingo?
If you’re interested, you can join the Cherik Bingo Discord server. You aren’t required to sign up for the bingo to join; it’s open to any and all Cherik fans!
I have another question that wasn’t mentioned here.
Send an ask! I’m happy to answer any and all questions!

As a person on the internet, I have opinions. Here are my thoughts on various mcc games (I love mcc to the ends of the earth, this is as critical as I get, heads up)
Ace Race: 7/10. Solid game, should have gotten boring by now but contestants getting crazy invested and/or losing their minds keeps it entertaining. Very much looking forward to alternate routes spicing it up. Main critique would probably be how individual it is, most people mute for it but that makes it a good reprieve towards the middle of the event. I think it fits best 5th or 6th but no later.
Battle Box: 7/10. I like the multi-round structure where it’s a bunch of 4v4s, it counters a lot of the bad luck that can put teams at a disadvantage in other pvp games. I really do enjoy it in concept but I often find myself zoning out, though that’s highly dependent on the vibe of who I’m watching. Battle box could fit anywhere but I prefer it early-mid event.
Buildmart: 8/10: One of my favorite MCC games conceptually. The best thing about MCC is how there’s something for everyone and there’s nuance and a variety of games that cater to different skill sets. Buildmart gets a disproportionate amount of slack simply because it was popular to slander it almost two years ago. If it got played more people would get better at it and wouldn’t dislike it as much, I bet you. Buildmart is a communication and strategy game first and foremost. It also caters to spatial reasoning and organization, but it really is a unique game that relies on skills that aren’t weighed as heavily in competitions like this. When it comes to game order, buildmart just does not belong in the first half, I can’t explain it, it just doesn’t. Late game or nothing (and for buildmart, it’s usually nothing)
Bingo: 8/10. Bring back my baby girl, she did nothing wrong. Hater’s gonna hate, she did her best. Bingo is probably the only MCC game that caters to skills inherent in Minecraft itself. Its minecraft championships, let people who play the classic game have someplace to shine. Bring bingo back, enable pvp (it would be so funny, please), and keep it in the first half. Scuffed was so real for having it as an early game, ideally I wouldn’t have it first first but I respect the hustle. She’s too intense to be right off the bat, but I think she’s a great 2nd or 3rd game.
Grid Runners: 10/10. Best MCC game, fight me. Bingo is my baby girl in that I will see her in the distance and realize how much I miss her, that I will fight off anyone who threatens her honor. Grid Runners is my love, my darling. The frequent oscillation between chaos and synergy, the panic of being absolutely clueless and the satisfaction of figuring it out, no one else is doing it like her. I’d love to have grid as a 6th or 7th game but I can understand why people put her early, she’s a good icebreaker and doesn’t leave much room to adjust your gameplay based on how the tournament’s going.
Hole in the Wall: 9/10. Up there as one of the more frustrating games to lose but it combats that with its multiple rounds. Hitw is always a blast and somehow manages to consistently make everyone go absolutely insane, it’s amazing and I love it. It’s everything a movement game should be: it’s skill based while still having a luck factor, it’s competitive without being overly sweaty, and it encourages team interaction and communication. Hitw finale in MCC30 was iconic, but she’s also a good opener. Ideally I’d place her mid-late but she can fit well anywhere.
Meltdown: 7/10. Good game, fun concept. They took a familiar game style and put a creative spin on it. I freaking love that MCC has a shooter game, however it’s another game that just feels bad to lose. It’s only really fun when you’re team’s doing well and I don’t feel like I’ve seen enough of my povs pop off enough to properly appreciate it. I think Meltdown solidly fits in the middle of the tournament, ideally being played 4th or 5th.
Parkour Tag: 6/10. If I’m honest, I’m a bit of a parkour tag hater. (I don’t actually hate it obviously, it’s just one of my least favorites). It just doesn’t have much room for fun in it, in my opinion. It’s too tense and stressful and sweaty. That said, it does have its moments and from a gameplay perspective it’s ingenious. Parkour tag is an early game, no doubt about it. 1st or 2nd or not at all, in my book.
Parkour Warrior: 8/10. Was very close to being a seven but the sheer shenanigans of having a bunch of people losing their minds in a discord call bumps it up. Favorite thing about pkw is easily the fact that one of the main vods to review is one of Purpled in which Ranboo is screaming their absolute lungs out in the background. That is the energy of parkour warrior. A team holding hands saying “oh hey I did it” and “OH SWEET FRICK FRACKING SPAGHETTI!!” In the span of ten seconds. Chaos aside, you can tell how much love and care went into making V2 an irrevocably fun and good game. Parkour warrior is an early-mid game, preferably 3rd or 4th.
Rocket Splee Rush: 8/10. As you might’ve been able to guess, I love unconventional movement games. Implementing a common game style in a creative way is the thing MCC is best at (other than everything else, of course). Rocket spleef is a unique twist on movement that allows players with different skill sets get a chance to shine and it incorporates a bit of pvp. RSR is a pure middle game, as long as it’s played, I’m happy.
Sky Battle: 9/10. Best pvp game right here, folks. Like with parkour warrior, the care and attention Noxcrew put into making this game the best it can be is palpable. Skywars is such a classic you’d think it couldn’t be improved upon but they did. It’s always such a beautiful mess with so many glorious moments. Skybattle belongs in the last half, preferably 6th or so.
Survival Games: 7/10. Ah look, the other pvp game. I love survival games as much as the next guy but it is probably the single worst game to lose. It’s stressful and tends to leave little room for banter and is downright miserable if your teams the first or second or third out. That said, every game has its upsides and survival games probably has the greatest opportunity for legends to be made, when people pop off in sg it is not forgotten any time soon. Survival games is probably my default skip, but it definitely belongs towards the end, preferably 7th followed by sot.
Sands of Time: 10/10. It’s time to talk about the second best game in MCC /hj (I genuinely cannot choose between grid and sands, I just say grid is my favorite because it doesn’t get as much hype). Honestly there’s nothing to say about sands of time that hasn’t already been said. It’s a beautiful and brilliant game in and of itself. I am a firm believer that sot should never be out of rotation. It’s not an MCC if it doesn’t end with sands of time (an early sands is better than no sands, but sot was made to be the grand finale).
TGTTOSAWAF: 6/10. It’s pretty good as an early game but is downright miserable to be played late. If people give up hope, they just spend the game messing up other people which just feels eh to me, even when the person I’m watching is the one sabotaging. A bit of bullying is par for the course though, and keeping it light is what makes MCC MCC. Should be played exclusively in the first half imo.
Here’s my overall ranking (my favorite to least favorites)
Grid Runners
Sands of Time
Hole in the Wall
Sky Battle
Buildmart
Parkour Warrior
Bingo
Ace Race
Battle Box
Meltdown
Survival Games
TGTTOSAWAF
Parkour Tag
And here’s a breakdown by my preferred game order:

International Literacy Day celebration
September 8
Celebrating International Literacy Day in schools can be a powerful way to emphasize the importance of literacy and encourage a love for reading among students.
Here are some engaging ideas to celebrate the day:
1. Reading Marathons:
Organize a reading marathon where students take turns reading a book aloud to their peers. This can be done in different classes or a common area like the library or auditorium.
Set a goal for the number of pages or books to be read by the end of the day.
2. Book Swap:
Encourage students to bring in books from home that they are willing to exchange. Set up a “Book Swap Station” where students can pick new books to read.
This activity promotes sharing and exposes students to diverse genres and authors.
3. Guest Author or Storyteller Sessions:
Invite local authors, storytellers, or poets to visit the school and share their stories or experiences. They can conduct interactive sessions and engage students with storytelling techniques.
Alternatively, host virtual sessions with authors from around the world.
4. Writing Workshops:
Conduct creative writing workshops where students are encouraged to write short stories, poems, or essays. Provide prompts to inspire creativity.
Display the best works on a “Literacy Wall” or in a school newsletter.
5. Literacy-Themed Assemblies:
Host a special assembly focused on literacy. Include skits, speeches, and presentations that highlight the importance of reading and writing.
Invite students to share their favorite books or recite poems.
6. Dress as a Book Character Day:
Encourage students and teachers to come dressed as their favorite book characters. This can spark discussions about different books and encourage students to read new ones.
7. Library Scavenger Hunt:
Organize a scavenger hunt in the school library where students search for specific books, authors, or genres. This can help familiarize them with the library’s resources.
8. Interactive Literacy Games:
Plan fun literacy games such as “Book Bingo,” “Spelling Bees,” or “Word Search Challenges” to make learning about words and reading fun.
9. Community Reading Programs:
Organize a community reading program where older students or teachers read to younger students, or invite community members to read their favorite books to the students.
10. Literacy Pledges:
Encourage students to make a literacy pledge, committing to read a certain number of books over a specific period. Display these pledges in classrooms or a common area.
11. Book Donation Drives:
Launch a book donation drive where students and parents can donate gently used books to the school library or to communities in need.
12. Reading Corners and Cozy Zones:
Create cozy reading corners or zones within the school where students can relax with a good book. Decorate these areas with comfortable seating, bean bags, and colorful posters.
13. Story Writing and Illustration Contest:
Host a contest where students can write their own stories and illustrate them. The winning stories can be published in a school anthology or displayed on a bulletin board.
14. Film Screening of Book Adaptations:
Screen a film adaptation of a popular book and have a discussion or debate on the differences between the book and its adaptation.
15. Parent Involvement Activities:
Invite parents to participate by reading classes or sharing stories about how literacy has impacted their lives or careers.
16. Create a Literacy Mural:
Have students work together to create a mural that depicts scenes from their favorite books or illustrates the importance of literacy.
17. Themed Reading Days:
Designate each day of the week to a different genre (e.g., Mystery Monday, Fantasy Friday) and encourage students to read books in that genre.
18. Story Time with Alumni:
Invite alumni to return to the school and read their favorite childhood books or share stories about how literacy has influenced their career paths and personal lives.
19. Create a ‘Story Chain’ Activity:
Start a story in one classroom, then pass it to the next classroom to continue, and so on, creating a collaborative story that involves the entire school. At the end of the day, read the completed story aloud.
20. ‘Book Tasting’ Event:
Set up a “Book Tasting” event where students sample a variety of books from different genres, authors, and cultures. Create a menu-style guide where students can note which books they are interested in "tasting" more of.
21. Interactive Story Apps and Digital Books:
Use technology by incorporating interactive story apps or digital books that allow students to engage with stories in a multimedia format. This can be particularly engaging for tech-savvy students.
22. Create a Poetry Slam:
Organize a poetry slam where students can perform their original poetry or recite their favorite poems. Encourage expressive delivery and celebrate creativity.
23. ‘Mystery Reader’ Sessions:
Arrange for a “mystery reader” session where different staff members, parents, or community members read stories to the class without revealing their identity until the end of the story.
24. Pen Pal Program:
Start a pen pal program with another school, either locally or internationally. Students can write letters or emails to each other, sharing their favorite books and literary interests, thus enhancing their writing and communication skills.
25. Create a Book Trailer Project:
Have students create digital book trailers for their favorite books, similar to movie trailers. They can present their trailers to the class to encourage others to read the books.
26. Host a ‘Literacy Fair’:
Set up a literacy fair with different booths dedicated to different aspects of literacy, such as storytelling, poetry, reading, and writing workshops. Invite authors, illustrators, and literacy advocates to participate.
27. Flash Mob Reading:
