Welcome to The Late Night Archive! (UPDATED FOR 2025)
Hi! My name is Victoria, I’m a huge Jon Stewart fan (understatement of the century) & I am the owner of The Late Night Archive.
What is The Late Night Archive?
Its a big fuck you to Paramount basically. It's an archive of basically everything that Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Craig Ferguson, Conan O'Brien, Trevor Noah (& as many other TDS correspondents as I can) have ever done.
After the online archive was wiped, there is now no longer an easy way for anyone to watch any of our beloved Late Night Hosts back catalogue. So, I took it upon myself to create a way for this to happen simply because I believe Paramount made a stupid fucking decision & thanks to my health, I have the time required to do it.
It's still a work in progress but I'm making really good headway on it & it will actually be finished at some point, but I am only one person so don't expect it to be done tomorrow.
*EDIT* I have actually had to split up the archive as due to new developments, there is simply too much for one archive now.
I will link it when it is complete.
This blog will basically be used to post updates & clips of TDS/TCR/Stewbert etc that either do not exist on this site or have been removed because of the archive wipe. FUCK PARAMOUNT.
The other use is Jon Stewart thirst posts as I have been willingly doing his bidding since I first saw him late at night on BBC2 in 1997. Yes, I am indeed old lol. & British. Sorry 😆
So if there is anything specific people would like to see or just want to shout into the void about Jon Stewart, ask away! 😊
Use the tag The Late Night Archive to find all my videos/posts or use the ones below to find specific posts. (Reorganising - be finished by end of week)

A Magazine Curated By Sacai, A Magazine Curated By, 2023
Softcover. 200 pages. 230 x 295 mm. Color, black and white.

janice ian: kenny -used to be best friends with cartman in middle school, had a falling out
damian franzese: craig -tbh I just think craig saying "she doesn't even go here!" is funny
cady heron: kyle -obvious choice? yes but idc so like instead of africa he was raised in california bc his mom didn't want him to be from new jersey but his dad didn't want to live in the town he grew up in so they lived in idk san diego
aaron samuels: stan -I could list my reasons but I'm a style shipper and that's all the reason I need
Oh my god you’re fucking COOKING!!!!!!!!! LET THEM COOK!!!!! This slays so hard I’m deadass so on board with the casting like no shit you might actually live in my brain bc that’s fr who I’d put in each role too

Hot Frosty (2024)
Tumblr media
Hi friends. I have not been posting as much as I wanted to due to working full-time and being a person (plus I changed jobs last month so I could not have handled this on top of all of that), I am tentatively shooting for 25 days of Christmas reviews. I had heard about Hot Frosty on TikTok, and, if you've been following my reviews, you know that generally, I am a fan of what Netflix puts out for Christmas movies. This was not an exception there. However, I do want to be clear that I don't think this is a good movie. I think it is artfully bad, which is my favorite kind. If you are not a fan of trope-heavy, cliched plot lines, you will not enjoy this film.
We open on Kathy (Lacey Chabert), who many viewers will recognize from the masterpiece that was Mean Girls as Gretchen Weiners, although Kathy does not seem to be Jewish, though her religious views are not clearly specified at any point in the film. Kathy is having a rough time of it, and it's not immediately clear why. Her heat in her house is broken, but she keeps forgetting to call for repairs. She has a leak in the roof and a broken step on her staircase. However, she doesn't say anything about not having money for it, and she runs? owns? a diner in the small town of Hope Springs, NY. It is implied that Kathy has just let herself go to the point where she is not taking care of things due to being widowed. While working at the diner, there is a snow sculpture contest occurring in the middle of the street? and all the shops are busy, so Kathy takes lunches to Mel (Sherry Miller) and Theo (Dan Lett) at the second-hand clothing store across the street. Mel gives Kathy a scarf that is sure to find her love out in the cold. Kathy, reasonably, is skeptical, so she puts the scarf on a snowman (a chiseled, muscular, lifelike one) that doesn't have a scarf yet, takes a picture, and goes home.
Suddenly, the snowman comes to life! He doesn't have a name immediately, but in the credits, he's listed as Jack Snowman (Dustin Milligan), who many will recognize as Ted Mullens from Schitt's Creek. However, poor guy doesn't have any clothes on besides his scarf, so he scares an elderly couple and breaks into the second-hand store and steals a jumpsuit and boots. Then he just talks to the other snowmen in the street until Kathy finds him in the morning. Kathy understandably has a hard time coming to terms with Jack being a snowman, so she takes him to the doctor. The doctor, Dottie (Katy Mixon Greer) who has been in several things, so I don't know where you know her from. Dottie does a pretty cursory exam and decides that the easiest answer is the best answer, so Kathy goes along with the snowman thing. Jack takes the spare room at Kathy's house and learns how to do a bunch of stuff by watching TV.
Unfortunately, Hope Springs very own Sheriff Nate Hunter (Craig Robinson), who viewers will recognize from The Office or Brooklyn 9-9, takes the crimes of streaking and robbery very seriously. Most people in the town would say he takes things too seriously, including Deputy Sheriff Ed Schatz (Joe Lo Truglio), who viewers will recognize as Charles Boyle from Brooklyn 9-9. Kathy is trying to save Jack from Nate, but Nate will not be deterred. Jack can't sit around cooped up in Kathy's house all day every day, so he finds other ways to help people in the town and makes friends with several people quickly. Jack has become everyone's favorite handyman. I wish I could learn how to be a handyman from watching TV...
The production value was on par for a Netflix original, though there was not much in the way of music. I didn't hate that, honestly, but the few songs that were included were not ones I recognized. There were references to Christmas and Christmas decor throughout the film, but the story didn't really have anything to do with Christmas. It just so happens that the magic that brings snowmen to life only comes around Christmas I guess. But I loved the fun references and general cheesiness. Overall, 5 stars.

List of Jewish Characters for the Panfandom Hanukkah Bingo
I've gotten a few requests for a list of Jewish characters to help people brainstorm for the bingo -- just as a reminder, Jewish headcanons and fanons are totally allowed for the event, so if you don't KNOW whether your character is Jewish, it's totally fine to make them Jewish for your fanwork! :)
But, since people asked, here is a little starter-list of 225 fictional Jewish and Jew-ish characters (characters who are "nebulously Jewish," played by Jews, are Jewish in at least one variation of the character, only make sense if they're Jewish, etc.)

Is it weird that I feel like Butters is more likely to become a "bad-boy" than Kenny or Craig? The boy became a Vamp Kid, a pimp, a biker and a villain. (Even yelled "IM A BAAAAD MAAAAAN" when he thought he had the power in the VR episode) Not only would he fit right in, but probably would be the leader of a group too.
The only thing I find weird about this, is that not more people agree with this!
I think this is such and intersting and likely scenario for Butters character. Maybe not like, a BAD bad boy, not a bully or a gang member lol, but like, the kind of bad boy people make Kenny and Craig like you said!
Imo I see Butters in that role as way more likely is you wanna be canon compliant!
Both Kenny and Craig tends to stay away from conflict, Kenny is quiet, doesn’t like to make a fuss around himself, and is canonly described as a loner, and Craig loves space, Red Racer, doing laundry and literally say «nice and boring, just the way I like it».
That’s not REALLY the typical bad boys imo.
Butters on the other hand? The whole weiners out fiasco, him being professor Chaos, joining vamps and seeing how he acted in VR when he didn’t worry about his parents grounding him, that’s someone I can see go down that route very easily!

fwaaf season finale
Omg omg I absolutely loved this episode!! So many feels and spoilers below. Obviously I think a few things should have been different but as a whole it was so great and justed capped off the show perfectly!!
Gemma and Duffy and their family were so freaking sweet and cute they made me cry. And while Duffy was still a bit of a weiner he was freaking hilarious. (I honestly think this was the funniest episode of the whole show)
Craig and Zara were really cute too!! I also loved the whole Caleb thing (is it just me or was that whole joke a New Girl shout-out?)
Tony got his citizenship! And him and Andrew just gave me a tooth ache!!
So I know Ainsley has been a right stroppy cow for a lot of this show but she was so funny in this and I really appreciated her growth by the end.
Quick shout out to Marcus! I loved him and the fact that he became Maya's campaign manager!! Sooo perfect!
Bashir and Fatima were super cute too I'm glad we got to see them one last time!!
Finally Maya and Kash!!!! So cute I'm glad they got time to work on each other. It was perfect!! Also Maya's last dress was freaking beautiful!!!!
All in all I really enjoyed this show!!!!
