The above passage is an example of a straight man who is secure enough to acknowledge when another man has attractive features.
This one is an example of a bisexual man who is actively fantasizing about being ravished.
#hwfwm#hwfwm book 4#he who fights with monsters#jason asano#craig vermillion#jason is actively crafting a bodice ripper starring him and the sexy vampire with the dangerous aura#also shout out to describing victor as vigorous#wtf that is not an adjective you use to describe anyone you aren’t considering in bed

what's ur fav slipknot song and mask...
honestly i have a LOT of favorite songs.. however i think my all time favs are probably wait and bleed, vermillion part 2 and people = shit
when it comes to my fav masks i truly cannot pick an alltime fav out of my favs. idk. i just love them all too much. i can give a top 5 tho!!
in no particular order:
joey’s all hope is gone mask. i loved the whole jesus thing he had going on with that crown of thorns.
AND THE FREAKING WIRY STRAW HAND THINGS?? i love this one to BITS.
corey’s vol 3 mask. this one technically isnt just the mask itself but rather the mask in combination with his hair.
LOOK AT IT. FREAKING GORGEOUS!!!!! one of the many reasons why vol 3 is one of my fav slipknot albums. (honestly all the masks from that era were pretty solid)
this jay weinberg mask from like last year i think??? pretty sure it looked like this up until his departure from the band
gives me beetlejuice vibes. like. that scene where they’re stretching their faces out n shit. creepy, but in a really cool way!!!!
this michael pfaff mask from the same time as the jay one
if i had to split my favs up into categories to better establish an “ultra fav” of sorts, this one would probably be my absolute fav recent mask. he evolved from being tortilla man and became like, a tortilla jester. but the thing is it WORKS. im so glad hes kept the jester thing in the new masks. actually i might make a whole separate post just talking abt pfaff’s masks because i have so much to say haha
chris fehn’s self titled mask.
his masks were always some of my favs.. i was always a fan of the huge floppy nose!!!! and how it was like 8 inches long lmfaooo. was not a fan of the band yet before he left tho 😔
HONORABLE MENTION: craig’s self titled mask
imo its kind of cute???? ive always thought it looked cute.
i might end up making a post about my least fav masks as well!!! bc boy howdy do i have a few. and also ill probably make a separate post about pfaff’s masks as well as another, more in depth post about the newest masks.

If you join my Twitch streams when I'm working on random art, you'd probably know that I have a small pile of HWFWM fanart that I keep forgetting to post!
So catching up sharing things, here's my take on Craig Vermillion, the Vampire Jason meets in the normal world! He kinda had two faces - the menacing Boogeyman and the guy that owns a café and plays boardgames on Jason's yacht. (and yeah I had to trace that 1967 Maserati Ghibli, cars are not really my thing)

You're Not the Only Spy Out There
Something I wrote for Short Stuff September as hosted by @mi6-cafe! I want to bring just a bit of some content outside of Craig!canon every now and then to these events!
Rating: Teen
Relationships: Paris Carver & Wai Lin
Characters: Paris Carver, Wai Lin
In a world of secrets, Paris Carver had a flair for spotting minute details that remained imperceivable to anybody else. It was a skill she had refined to perfection over the years, one that left her in a silent hell. A short hypothetical encounter between her and Wai Lin.
Word Count: 1,062
Also down here below!
In a world of secrets, Paris Carver had a flair for spotting minute details that remained imperceivable to anybody else. It was a skill she had refined to perfection over the years, one that left her in a silent hell. She could have delightfully indulged ignorant to the vermillion pooling by her feet. Yet, she knew she couldn't simply drown herself and let herself be drunk in illusions.
She preferred not being able to whisper about the world's hidden darkness than living in a world of mirages.
Paris deemed falling for people who gave her illusory love a mistake. From there, she made it her goal to keep her eyes open.
It was what kept her safe, what allowed her to know precisely who to avoid.
Especially in ceremonies where she had to discern who genuinely wanted to befriend her and who offered up a deception. With espionage creeping around her husband, she knew full well that she would be the target of superficial conversations. They thought of her as a means to gain information, not a peer. All she had to do was feign obliviousness and they would be convinced enough to go away.
On the evening of her husband's unveiling of his new satellite, she was ready to keep up the facade.
Smile, laugh, and pretend she was a fool.
So far, she was persuading the entire party that she knew nothing more than what the general public would know.
All was going well until he had come.
James Bond.
Her ex-lover that never came back for her until now.
Knowing how he was, he was going to bring trouble for her.
She was right.
He caused a disaster at the inaugural broadcast, humiliating Elliot Carver where he stood. From there, Paris knew that she had been woven into a matter she never wanted to get into.
Now, her husband was slowly figuring out that she knew about the likes of espionage. He was unraveling the fact that she held a deeper connection with Bond than he thought. The cognition that had kept her safe for so long was now shackling her down.
The end of her life was going to be broadcast on the news with her husband pretending that it was a tragedy to him.
Paris had to take a moment outside of the Carver Media Group Network's building to breathe her last breath. She needed to think, trying to come to terms with how abruptly this was happening to her. From one evening, she had been preparing for what was supposed to be just another event to knowing that she would be dying soon the next.
With the place now devoid of the earlier bustling chatter, the atmosphere felt lonely.
Though, Paris's attention was drawn towards a woman in a sleek silvery dress. She was the few people who stuck around after the failure of a ceremony that was hosted. From what Paris recalled, the woman's name was Wai Lin, posing as a news reporter.
She had an intuition that Wai Lin was part of intelligence herself, judging by how she never completely relaxed at the party. Despite putting on a fun demeanor, there was a sense of underlying calculation behind every one of her actions. Not only that, but she also had the perfect cover that allowed her to sneak in and earn herself some information.
Paris wanted to at least speak with her. It was an urge she didn't know why she felt so strongly about.
She spoke up without hesitation, walking up to the other, "Miss Lin. You're still here?"
"I work best in the moment, Mrs. Carver," The other held up a memo pad and pen with a cheeky smile.
It was probably a part of Wai Lin's cover, but Paris couldn't help but be amused by that remark, "On the next big story, I presume?"
"Do you suppose that reporting on the evening's events will be deemed as slander?" Wai Lin quipped.
"Maybe. Elliot's just a bit senile at times, but don't let that stop you," Paris let out a soft laugh, finding solace in the moment. To say the words she had always been afraid to say was cathartic.
"I'll be careful then if I'm hearing this from his wife out of all people."
"Do keep up the good work, maybe you can put him in his place. It's the harsh truth, but that's what you reporters do, right?"
"Thank you," Wai Lin had a soft smile on her face, pleased with the exchange, "I do my best."
She then closed her memo pad and clicked her pen with a crisp snap. That was the cue for her to leave. As much as Paris wanted the company of someone else, she knew well enough that people never tended to stay for long.
Though, she at least felt like she mattered in some way. She felt like Wai Lin saw her beyond a means to the completion of a mission.
Wai Lin's eyes flickered away from the building, "I believe I've collected all that I needed to know. It was a delight speaking to you, Mrs. Carver."
"The feeling is mutual, Miss Lin," She simply nodded, waving goodbye to her, "Stay safe."
"I will."
She watched as Wai Lin departed with a wave back; Paris wondered what would happen to her next from here.
For the first time, she felt like she had broken her long-lasting silence about the world of secrets. She had finally voiced something to someone, even if miniscule. She wasn't usually one to wish spies safety. Normally, she didn't care about what happened to them. As long as she was left unbothered by them, she tolerated agents at the best.
Yet this time was different, she knew that Wai Lin was facing up against the likes of Elliot Carver. He was a man who would do anything for his ambitions, destroying the Earth to pave a golden path for himself. Wai Lin would be trampled down if it meant that she would no longer be in his way.
If Paris couldn't be safe anymore, at least she could hope for the best for the people whom she would be a martyr for.
Paris sighed to herself, wondering what to do with the remainder of her life.
She knew that she couldn't let herself be silent any longer now.

LUCY & THE CRIMINALS
Lucy’s Encounters with the Criminal Underworld ~ Part 3
Lucycoms introduced crime stories to keep plotlines exciting and contemporary. Here’s a look at the thieves, burglars, robbers, murderers, prowlers, second-story men, mobsters, forgers, counterfeitters, and con artists in the Lucyverse!
“Lucy’s Impossible Mission” (1968) ~ In this parody of “Mission: Impossible” (a Desilu / Paramount production), Lucy Carter fights international espionage in the persons of Mulhill Omar (Tim Herbert) and Ambassador Korlik of the Slobtoni Embassy (Joseph Ruskin).
“Guess Who Owes Lucy $23.50?” (1968) ~ It’s Van Johnson! Or is it? Lucy loans the film star money to fix his car – but the man turns out to be a con-man posing as Johnson.
“Lucy and the Ex-Con” (1969) ~ The Unique Employment Agency sends Rocky (Wally Cox), a reformed safe cracker, on an assignment as a janitor. When the place is robbed, Rocky is the number one suspect. Disguised as old ladies, Lucy and Rocky go undercover to catch the real crook...
...Doc Morgan (Bruce Gordon). Morgan is nicknamed Doc because he uses a stethoscope when safe cracking. Bruce Gordon had played mobster Frank Nitti on Desilu’s “The Untouchables” (1959-63).
“Lucy and the Great Airport Chase” (1969) ~ Filmed on location at Los Angeles International Airport, Lucy and Harry elude dangerous spies Enemy Agent Yang (Larry Duran) and Enemy Agent Kurt (Sid Haig).
“A Date for Lucy” (1969) ~ Caesar Romero plays jewel thief Tony Rivera, Lucy’s date for a soiree at which he plans to steal the gems of a wealthy dowager. After Rivera is knocked out cold, Lady Warren (Barbara Morrison) discovers she’s been robbed. When Lucy tells her who it was, she can’t believe it.
“He’s so charming! He’s so handsome! He looks just like Cesar Romero!”
“Lucy Gets Her Man” (1969) ~ Harry’s old Army buddy is working in Counter-Intelligence and needs a stenographer to help get the goods on suspected spy Arthur Vermillion (Victor Buono). Naturally, Lucy gets the assignment. Isabel (Mary Wickes) calls Harry Jack the Ripper, comparing him to the famous London serial killer.
Lucille Ball and Victor Buono were both featured in “Like Hep!”, a Dinah Shore special that aired a few months after this episode. In it, Ball did a variety of sketches, including one set in a speakeasy with Buono as a mob boss. On television, Buono is probably best remembered for playing King Tut, one of the arch villains on “Batman” (1966-68).
“Lucy’s Burglar Alarm” (1969) ~ When Lucy and the kids are robbed and Harry refuses to fund a $500 burglar alarm, Craig comes up with an elaborate home alarm system. Guy Marks plays the well-dressed crook.
“Lucy and Viv Visit Tijuana” (1970) ~ On a sightseeing trip to Mexico, Harry is convinced by shopkeeper / smuggler Pedro (Don Diamond) to transport a stuffed animal over the border, claiming it is for his 3 year-old niece living in Los Angeles. Stopped at the border, they discover it actually contains contraband.
“Lucy and Wally Cox” (1970) ~ Lucy and Wally are assigned to be security guards at a warehouse, where they encounter armed robbers Lefty Logan (X Brands) and Baby Face Johnson (Gil Perkins).
“Lucy and Ma Parker” (1970) ~ When a woman and two children mysteriously move in next door, Lucy discovers that they're a band of criminals led by Ma Parker (Carole Cook). Her cohorts are little people dressed as archetypal children: Herman Golub (Billy Curtis) is dressed as Buster Brown, and Milton / Mildred (Jerry Maren) is dressed as Shirley Temple.
Lucy is recruited to impersonate Ma Parker and help nab dangerous Chicago mobsters Muggsy (Boyd ‘Red’ Morgan) and Joe Grapefruit (Marc Lawrence).
The title character is a parody of Kate 'Ma' Barker (inset), the mother of several criminals who ran the Barker gang in the 1930s. She traveled with her sons during their criminal careers.
“Lucy and Harry’s Italian Bombshell” (1971) ~ When Lucy and Kim sleep at the office, they encounter a burglar (Herbie Faye). Instead of robbing them, the he actually gives Kim and Lucy five dollars!
“Lucy and Mannix are Held Hostage” (1971) ~ Mannix (Mike Connors) and Lucy are taken hostage by Vernon (John Doucette) and Ruby (Marc Lawrence).
“Lucy and the Candid Camera” (1971) ~ Allen Funt, host of TV’s “Candid Camera”, plays himself and his con-man doppelganger.
As the con-man, he convinces the Carters to rob a fur salon, then a bank - all under the impression they are pranks for the TV show.
“Lucy and the Little Old Lady” (1971) ~ When Mrs. Brady, a kindly widow from out of town (Helen Hayes), comes to the Unique Employment Agency looking for a part-time job, Kim becomes suspicious that she may be running a con game so they plan to hold a fake séance to expose her. The character Hayes plays here capitalizes on her Oscar-winning role of Ada Quonsett in Airport (1970), a sweet little old lady who cons the airlines and stows away to get free air travel. On “Here’s Lucy” the plot relies on the premise that Mrs. Brady could be a con artist.
“Lucy and the Reckless Wheelchair Driver” (1972) ~ Hickey, a show business agent (Jesse White), tries to sue Lucy for hitting his client with her wheelchair. Lucy and Harry think the young man is faking and that the agent is a con artist.
“Dirty Gertie” (1972) ~ In this story based on A Pocketful of Miracles, Lucy is mistaken for an apple peddler who just happens to be the good luck charm of Rocky (Bruce Gordon), a mob boss. The police recruit Lucy to help capture the mobster in his own nightclub. Johnny Silver plays Benny, one of Rocky’s mob.
Other mobsters include ‘Moose’ Murdock (John Harmon) and ‘Numbers’ Smith (Ed Hall).
“My Fair Buzzi” (1972) ~ Kim’s shy and awkward friend Annie Whipple (Ruth Buzzi) comes out of her shell in order to audition for a 1920s revue in which Harry plays a mobster named ‘Big Jake’.
“Lucy Goes To Prison” (1973) ~ Lucy goes undercover as a convict to get information out of bank robber Mumsie Westcott (Elsa Lanchester).
“Lucy Plays Cops and Robbers” (1973) ~ Lucy forms a neighborhood watch group and starts seeing criminals where there are none. After several false alarms to the local police, a real burglar (Gino Conforti) actually shows up!
“Lucy the Sheriff” (1974) ~ Lucy finds out that her grandmother was the first woman sheriff of a Montana town that is celebrating its centennial. She is asked to play her grandmother at the celebrations, which include the recreation of a bank robbery. Lucy is enjoying playing lawmaker until Jake (Cliff Osmond) and Rusty (John Craig), a couple of genuine robbers, interrupt the celebration and take her hostage!

A Message From Craig From Vermillion County Jail

So we all agree that Craig was Jason’s bisexual awakening, right? In book 2 he makes this statement:
Then in book 4 Craig offers to teach him aura manipulation:
We know what happens in the sex dungeon club, and how Craig uses his aura:
He clearly took Craig up on the offer:
And it would be overkill to screenshot all the moments of him openly lusting after men in books 7-10, but a few contenders are:
Ergo, something happened on Earth to make Jason aware of his own attraction. My guess is: bisexual blood orgy with a sexy vampire, followed by cookies and juice.

[✨]This song fills my soul ...
Lyrics:
She seems dressed in all of me
Stretched across my shame
All the torment and the pain
Leaked through and covered me
I'd do anything to have her to myself
Just to have her for myself
Now I don't know what to do
I don't know what to do
When she makes me sad
She is everything to me
The unrequited dream
A song that no one sings
The unattainable
She's a myth that I have to believe in
All I need to make it real is one more reason
I don't know what to do
I don;t know what to do
When she makes me sad
But I won't let this build up inside of me
But I won't let this build up inside of me
But I won't let this build up inside of me
But I won't let this build up inside of me
I catch in my throat
Choke
Torn into pieces
I won't, no
I don't want to be this
But I won't let this build up inside of me
(Won't let this build up inside of me)
I won't let this build up inside of me
(Won't let this build up inside of me)
I won't let this build up inside of me
(Won't let this build up inside of me)
I won't let this build up inside of me
(Won't let this build up inside of me, won't let this build up inside of me)
She isn't real
(Won't let this build up inside of me)
I can't make her real
(Won't let this build up inside of me)
She isn't real
(Won't let this build up inside of me)
I can't make her real
(Won't let this build up inside of me).

Throwback Thursday Review: Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses by Slipknot (2004)
Duff McKagan’s Necessary Albums Review #30
Slipknot has never been one of the rock bands I get excited about. The imagery just never resonated with me. I actually just recently had a “Woah” moment when I found out that the lead singer of Stone Sour and Slipknot are the same person. Back to the album, I felt this album just drags. It felt really slow and it wasn’t that enjoyable. I enjoyed the ballads, but maybe that was because it sounded like the Corey Taylor that I know. Not my speed.
Key Tracks: “Duality”, “Vermillion”, “Before I Forget”, “Danger-Keep Away”
