Ngl it hurts my soul to see how often Sylus is written by fans as a player or worse a cheater :( To my mind the words "Sylus" and "Cheater" do not belong in the same sentence. They are incompatible. My brain literally does not compute.

The man is the the embodiment of loyalty and devotion, the definition of the word "loverboy". His soul literally smells like flowers. He made a whole field of daturas bloom just for his beloved. He exchanged half of his soul with them. He gave his life so that they wouldn't lose theirs.

With his wealth, his power, and his looks he could have basically any person he wants. But that's the thing. He doesn't want anyone that isn't MC/You. For the entirety of his long life, he has only ever had eyes for one person alone, only ever loved and desired a single individual. He has remained steadfastly loyal even during the — likely vast number — of years that he couldn't be with MC/You.

Just look at how he looks at MC/You. You can literally see his heart in his eyes.

That's the gaze of a man looking at his most precious treasure 💖

belittling rhaena's reaction to just not wanting to babysit kids during the war and ungrateful is simply you not understanding what she's going through. girl was happy 5 minutes ago, with her family on dragonstone + baela and rhaenys close by, just got betrohed with her brother/best friend aka pearl of driftmark aka pretty like a princess prince. and the next what she knows that her favorite person was murdered by man who already years ago stole from her a chance to claim her mother's dragon. her sister is born dead, her stepmother is usurped, the war just started and the best she can do is be sent away from danger with little kids who she must support and who won't do the same for her even tho she needs it as well. she has no dragon, so not only she still feels "not good enough targaryen", she's also useless in her eyes. all she can do is wait for a letter that another member of her family is dead. it's not her wanting to prove herself valuable pushed her to find and claim sheepstealer. it was rhaenys' daeth. there was silverwing on dragonstone and vermithor, and yet she did not try to claim them after she failed with seasmoke. she decided to chase after WILD dragon after learning her grandmother died.

i know that people love to speak about daemyra's kids relations and some speak about rhaena x jace, especially about the scene when they did not hug each other (utterly stupid, thanks writers). but no one say how jace and rhaena are basically the same person. he feels not enough targaryen cause he's a bastard, she feels not enough bc she lacks dragon. both losing a parent in childhood. both betrohed to their best friends/siblings. both putting luke in front of their own needs (jace comforting luke even he feels all the same unworthy, rhaena supporting luke in the role of heir to driftmark even tho she herself lacks the confidence in her identity). both desperately wanting to prove themselves against rhaenyra's orders. both serving as their younger brothers protectors.

rhaena and jacaerys targaryen, they could never make me hate you or be annoyed by you. best people.

you know what i find fascinating about tristan's final speech? he didn't indulge specifically in chips, or tikka masala, what he couldn't stop himself from indulging in was the combination of BOTH. this isn't about avery, or the feelings he has for her. this is about tristan loving both of them so much he is terrified he is gonna be consumed by it all, even if he doesn't realize that yet.

Steve who’s actually a really bad liar, but he gets away with stuff because no one really looks at him too closely. Like, everyone pretty much takes him at face value because they don’t expect more.

And Steve’s painfully aware of this, but it keeps working, so he just goes with it. Kind of stings, especially when he spent an entire night suffering a migraine and everyone believes him when he says he’s hungover. But whatever.

He’s an attention seeking kind of guy, but only for the right kind of attention.

Which is why Robin is also his best friend but also his worst enemy.

She apparently took his instant acceptance of her queerness as “Actually, there must be a lot more to Steve Harrington than the world could ever comprehend.” And thus made it her mission to surgically pull him apart just to see how he worked.

No one ever has or probably ever will understand him so throughly. It’s like she can read his mind, which would suck, except Robin happily let him know her just as well. It’s great in a lot ways, especially for Steve who has craved this kind of closeness for as long as he can remember.

Except when it’s NOT. Except when her face pinches with worry, or her eyes go sad, or she reaches out to take his hand, squeezes his fingers, anchors him to the ground. He hates to make her worry, to make her sad. Robin should be happy all the time, best of all when he’s the one making her laugh.

Anyways, Steve coming to terms with an emotionally intimate relationship where he can’t hide his ugly pieces behind air-headed comments and passive smiles and acting silly for a laugh.

I was determined to use the drawing tablet to finally draw something, so i doodled this last night:-

I can't help but think that their fight is a liiiittle bit similar to that one concept in Naruto where Naruto and Sasuke attempt to understand eachother's feelings through their fists, hence Gojo was able to recognize Sukuna's loneliness and inability to understand love, and tried his best to convey his own emotions to Sukuna through the fight.

But on a more comedic note, Gojo has a thing for people who are able to kill him, and Sukuna's out here irritated, annoyed, and quite frankly, a little confused with the recent trend of people's obsession with trynna teach him about love. (Maybe he has made a mistake incarnating into this timeline????)

FFS the man is currently trapped within Yuta's ""True Mutual Love ❤"" Domain atm, its February and i think the next chapter's physical copy is releasing on Valentine's Day, whats with all of this symbolism!!!?!!

tommy must live in a perpetual state of confusion over buck

do you think the longer buck allies the more tommy realises that "oh, he really is like this but he's definitely some flavor of queer"? because i see tommy maybe gently testing buck's jealousy to see what it'll take to make him break

oooookay once again this is not a snippet (sorryyyyy) but is more me attempting to understand wtf is going on in tommy's head throughout all this that he keeps "sure, okay"-ing himself into ridiculous situations with buck, so apologies for just unloading the contents of my brain on you

there are a few things i've been chewing on in terms of figuring out how tommy reacts to the buck of it all, which i hope will make it make sense that i actually don't think tommy pushing or testing for jealousy is on the cards in this fic (although i do love the idea!)

so first of all, this is a younger tommy than we've seen interact with buck in canon (of course), so whatever happened to make him Like That in the breakup hasn't happened yet (and won't, because i am a slut for a HEA). he's newly out and in my experience, a lot of newly out people, particularly people who are a bit older have something of a second adolescence. so yeah while this means he's incredibly horny (horny enough to let a self-proclaimed straight guy give him the absolute best sex of his life) it also means he just wants to have fun!! and buck is SO. MUCH. FUN. he's spent so long so tightly controlled that he's trying really hard to just go with the flow.

second, when i say newly out tommy, i mean newly out. like, it's one thing to "stop lying about who i am" - to me, there's a non-zero chance that just means "stop making up girlfriends" rather than "actually grapple with the life-long process of coming out (again and again and again)". so in my head (and it might come up in the fic, idk yet) the scene early on where he tells buck he doesn't want the cute girl's number because he's gay is probably one of the first times he actually said the words out loud. which ties into...

third, we know tommy was work friends with sal (at least and again, don't know that it'll come up in the fic but for the record, he 100% had a monstrous crush on him, like it made him ILL how much he wanted sal, i will hear no arguments), and that he developed good - again, work-based - friendships with hen and chim, but i feel like for a deeply closeted guy under dadt with a shitty childhood buck might be his first actual friend who knows all of him and likes him. spends time with him. doesn't care that he's gay. actively supports his gayness. doesn't recoil and in fact actively encourages tommy to talk about it. so i think tommy is just...deeply, deeply grateful for this confusing train wreck of a man

fourth, while i think there are definitely times that tommy thinks "he...he's flirting with me, right? is something gonna happen here?" this is a guy who has spent his entire adult life not looking at that kinda thing. not letting himself wonder if a guy (particularly a friend) is into him. or really, even if he's into them. he's really, really good at compartmentalising, and buck's pretty insistent that he's straight, so tommy's taking that at face value. hey, buck makes compelling arguments ("tommy, straight men have prostates too!")

aaaaand there we have the contents of my brain as it relates to one tommy kinard. even in my own incredibly stupid AUs, i am frankly obsessed. i want to gnaw on him. i'll settle for having buck do it instead.

“Please what, dear?” you purr, rolling your hips and smirking at the choked sob that escapes the beautiful boy beneath you.

You had been edging him, riding him at a torturously slow pace, stilling on top of him every time he neared the edge and just barely moving your hips. Lorenzo was a wreck, on the verge of tears as he panted and squirmed, desperation clear in his entire being. Team Gai "Needs" a Medical Ninja

I often see the talking point that Team Gai does not have a healer on their team, and that makes them incomplete/ lacking in some way. I'd like to bring up a counterpoint:

Team Gai does not need a healer, because every member of team Gai acts as a healer in their own way. Sometimes, better than any medical ninja could provide on their own.

Gai & Lee

Now one might think that these two knuckleheads are the most likely to get injured or need a healer after they fight. And it's true, these two are the most likely to hurt themselves. Both in how up close they get to their opponents, and with how the Eight Gates effects their bodies.

However, those same Gates that break their body appart, can also heal them.

Gate 2, The Gate of Healing, has been shown to actively heal bad cuts and stop the bleeding of any major wounds. Although it takes up a lot of energy, it will save them in almost any emergency situation. By Shippuden, both are able to open the gates multiple times back to back without permanently damaging their bodies (minus the 8th), so these two actually have the highest chance of recovering from serious injuries on team Gai.

Further more, Gai particularly has extensive knowledge on the human body. To the point he can make his own food pills and set any broken bones he or his kids may acquire. So long as he has the right tools, he can protect his kids.

Neji

Neji has probably the best chakra control of the group which could technicallymake him the best chance of being the team healer (although I don't think canon went with this or confirmed it). More importantly, he has the Byakugon. If he or his team got hurt, he could look inside them and see what the injury is, how its effecting them, and how to handle it

If they need to stop the bleeding, he could probably do so with his gentle fist. Temporarily stopping the blood flow and tourniquet any wound until they could see a doctor. His eyes are like having an MRI and a Xray machine with the team at all times. He could pinpoint the extent of the injury and see if the damage is to the bones, blood, tissue, organs or even chakra network. Analyzing and discovering his team's injuries would be his to and protect his team.

TenTen

Contrary to popular belief, Tenten is not just a weapons expert, she's a summoning expert. There is a LOT more than weapons in her scrolls and she could summon an entire medical tent and full of supplies at a second's notice. There is nothing her scrolls can't carry: cables, bandaids, tornaquets, burn remedies, antibodies, antipoisons, medicine, even blood bags: TenTen could have all this and more. Should anyone get injured, she could physically tend to the team or at least provide all the equipment neccessary to protect the team, should anyone get hurt.

In conclusion: Team Gai does not NEED a Medical ninja. Because every member of Team Gai could act as a medical specialist in their own way, without the use of medical Jutsu.

I saw someone comment/post on tiktok that we never get a solid baseline for Will Grahams character bc when we first meet him in the show he's already experiencing the effects of consulting for the FBI and the first symptoms of encephalitis.

I cant find the creator but now all I can think about is how Alana is the only person in the show (including us as the viewers) who knew him before he started consulting and the encephalitis symptoms started, which means the strength of her concern is a good indication of how much Will Graham changed.

ALSO, the closest we get as the viewers to what Will Graham probably would've been like is in season three when he's married to Molly bc he wasn't consulting or aggravating his empathy and he wasn't being yoyo-ed by a serial killer.

i'm years late to the tgm party but i think something that really compels me about rooster is that he spends sooo much time being angry at mav, and there's so much about him being a careful flyer and not being fast enough that it would be so easy to write him as the broody/reserved/silent archetype but no!! he's allowed to be angry as fuck, and full of grief, and overly cautious and still be insanely charismatic in his private life and the life of the party and to love the spotlight and i just think moving away from the archetype that would have been so obvious and easy to write him into does wonders for his character and makes him feel so much more real
