SURE SHOT WAY TO ENTER VOID
Hello again, it's been a long while since I last saw yall.
I present you guys another fail proof method to tap into the void state. After my first void success, I have been entering void with only an intent. But during my "struggling days" this method immensely helped me getting closer in my very first try.
Anyway, I strongly urge you to follow this routine in case you haven't tapped into the void state yet.
Important : it requires you to disturb your sleep cycle. You can do it everyday but I recommend taking breaks in between so as to not mess with your circadian clock. Statistically speaking you have a 100% chance of entering void within the first 5 tries.
This challenge is heavily inspired by the phase method.
I am also combining the phase method with the lucid dream WBTB + MILD method for maximum success rate because even if you don't end up having OBE you will definitely end up in a lucid dream through which you can enter void.
The phase is an umbrella term for out of body experience (OBE), sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming, void, astral projection etc.
steps:
1. Maintain a dream journal - it helps in better dream recall which inturn helps in getting more lucid in your dreams. I recommend you going through the journal before sleeping
2. Regular reality checks - perform reality checks every 2 hours or as frequently as possible. some common ones are trying to breathe with nostrils closed, try to penetrate left hand fingers into right hand palm or simply stopping for a moment and trying to really observe if you are dreaming.
4. Subliminal - you can listen to your favorite void subliminals during the day
5. At night: Sleep for the first 6 hours, wake up to an alarm. Keep your mind busy for 5-10 minutes. While still being sleepy, go to bed. You can play subliminals or binaural beats, or just keep your mind busy by focusing on breathing or counting numbers backwards.
You will either 1. enter sleep paralysis through which you can affirm for void 2. wake up in void by affirming 3. fall back to sleep and end up in a lucid dream
So you see, the intent of this method was to enter void eitherways😉
I don't have to explain more about the first two possibilities. And about the lucid dream, step 1 and 2 will immensely help you get lucid in case you don't realise you're dreaming in a dream. Once you stabilise your dream enough, you can create a portal to void.
Also note that when you go back to bed after 6 hours of sleep, you might have many awakenings after a certain duration. I suggest you make use of those and affirm for void right after you wake up without moving much
That is it guys, I promise you will come back with a success story if you follow the routine diligently for the next one week, although one week is too much and you will definitely enter void in the next 2-4 days or this very night even. It all depends on your confidence. And of course, a strong intention without wavering will also land you to void. But for those who have been struggling for a long time, do give this method a try and let me know your progress.

🛡 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Astral Aegis
Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement) ___ This dark shield reflects an ever-present starry sky. When observed at an angle, it looks as though you could reach through its glossy surface. While holding the shield, you have immunity to radiant damage and gain a +2 bonus to your AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield’s normal bonus to AC. The shield has the following properties, which you can use while you hold it. 𝘼𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙚𝙛𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧. When a friendly creature within 30 feet of you takes radiant damage from a hostile source, you can use your reaction to magically swap places with that creature, teleporting you both, provided the other creature is willing. You then take the triggering damage, instead of the other creature, unless that creature would still be affected by the triggering effect in its new location. 𝘼𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. You can use an action to cast the “astral projection” spell from the shield, without any material components. When the spell ends, this property of the shield can’t be used again until 7 days have passed. If your silvery cord is severed, the shield is shunted into the Astral Plane and lost, but you and your companions are harmlessly returned to your bodies. 𝘼𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙙. You can perform a special ritual with the shield over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. At the end of that time, a glimmering ward appears, centered on your location, which extends from you in a cylinder that’s 100 feet tall with a radius of 50 feet. The ward remains at that location for 24 hours or until you leave the area. For the duration, creatures can’t move or travel within the space using teleportation (except by the shield’s Astral Defender property) or by extradimensional or interplanar means. In addition, when an aberration enters the ward’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or take 5d10 radiant damage. Once a creature succeeds on the saving throw, it’s immune to the effect for 24 hours. ___ ✨ Patrons get huge perks! Access this and hundreds of other item cards, art files, and compendium entries when you support The Griffon's Saddlebag on Patreon for less than $10 a month!

Omega retreat : Chapter 2
Pairing: Alpha Bucky × Omega Reader
Warnings: R18, Eventual Smut, Not what it seems, talk of medical issues/illness, dating site, ABO dynamics
Word count: 2477
Chapter 1
Bucky masterlist
Summary: As an unmarked and lonely omega you find a flyer for a service called The Omega Retreat.
You are paired with a compatible alpha to spend your heat or just a week at a luxurious cabin at a forest resort. Amenities and Utilities included. Enjoy the beautiful scenery, fresh air, as well as the company of an alpha of your choosing. What could possibly go wrong?
Tumblr media
The blue screen of your laptop lit up the dark and gloomy room as you booted it up and set your sights on the internet explorer icon.
Your eyes shift back and forth from the slightly crunched flier to the keyboard as you type up the website in the search bar.
Upon clicking enter, there is a cascade of red and pink hearts across the screen before the main page comes into view.
From the photos, it seems kind of like a glamping thing, with each couple or pairing having their own semi-remote cabin.
Singles retreats weren’t a new concept—not that you’ve ever been to one, but this would be a whole week alone with a stranger, a man, an alpha.
That familiar twang of anxiety twisted in your chest at the thought, only for it to be snuffed out by another.
‘We all have to grow up at some point’.
You eyed the two packages listed on the screen, one labeled as Silver and the other Gold. The silver package went by, Forget me knot.” and you felt yourself chuckle a little at how cheesy it sounded. It was a 4-day stay at one of the cabins with an alpha provided by the website's dating algorithm.
The Gold package had another cheesy line listed as “Heat of the Night." It listed a full-week stay for the duration of the omega’s heat with your new Alpha.
The prospect was, of course, very tantalizing, but it still didn’t fail to make you nervous. You had never spent a heat with someone before, and it seemed a little scary. Was a week with a stranger worth seeing what you were missing out on?
You clicked the icon for the Gold package without thinking further, blinking at the screen as it shifted to the sign-up page. You’d only wanted further info but it looked like only members could access it. It was, however, free to sign up, a claim made by many websites and apps before it. Yet, even at the free level, it seemed you could at least get to look at the Alpha bachelors they had in their database. Just another step to pull you in closer to spending the big bucks.
It asked for a photo at first, making you hesitate before finally deciding on one simple photo of yourself. It had been your birthday, and your mother was by your side, hugging your shoulder. You had to crop out most of your mom, but your big smile still beamed just as brightly across the screen. You typed in a shortened version of your name for your little profile, along with your age, before clicking the next button.
The page flipped to a quick questionnaire, asking about your likes and dislikes—everything from your bedtime routine to your bedroom habits. It barely toed the line of TMI, but you supposed it had to be thorough to find you a match. You clicked through each question, making sure every answer felt right. Before you could tell, it had been half an hour and you were only almost finished. You snuggled yourself into your plush couch as you finally clicked the submit button.
A little spinning heart pops up on the scream alongside ‘finding your perfect match’ underneath it. The heart spun around on the screen until the loading bar hit 100 and the page shifted over to show your results.
Your eyes widen at the selection of handsome men flooding the screen. There are more Alphas flashing over your computer than you’ve ever seen in one small space, and already there are too many to choose from.
Part of you figured that to a seasoned romantic, it would seem like small potatoes, but to you, it was more men than you knew what to do with. The only distraction that could tear your eyes away was a heart-shaped character at the corner of the screen babbling away in a little text box. His happy little demeanor reminds you of a certain talking paperclip from old office software. Only you found this little guy less irritating.
‘We have selected 20 of your most suitable partners. Please choose from the profiles below to chat and find your match.’
You clicked the speech bubble away, only for another to pop up.
‘Don’t forget to check out our selection of getaways for your official meetup’ popped up across the page.
You clicked again, and another bubble came after.
‘If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your matches, please take the quiz again.’
You take the little heart man’s words into consideration before clicking back towards the alpha profiles.
The first was a rough-looking man named Brock. Too macho for your type, and you shied away from his profile immediately.
The next one was a sweet, gentle-looking man named Steve. He seemed really interested in a lifetime mate, but as romantic as it seemed, you just weren’t too sure that was what you wanted just yet.
It was a little overwhelming. All these men were stunning, and yet the scared little omega inside of you kept turning tail at the gleam of each of their smiles, leading you to click at the next button again and again.
You’d gone through 12 profiles until you stopped on his picture. His brown hair sat at the base of his neck, looking soft and supple enough to tangle your fingers through, and his smile was immediately infectious.
The name James ‘Bucky’ Barnes sat below the photo in bold, but you barely noticed as your gaze locked on his light, smiling blue eyes.
You feel both your heart and your core flutter, leading to a wave of warmth and a bit of unearned embarrassment. You didn’t think any further before clicking his profile, showing you more about this ‘Bucky’.
It gave a broad list of hobbies, his likes and dislikes, as well as so many more dreamy photos.
His profiles stated he was interested in a mate but “wanted to test the waters first." Not interested in being too serious, but not scared of a commitment.
Even though this man seemed like an absolute dream, you couldn’t help but second-guess yourself. Yet, the butterflies in your stomach overpowered the worries in the back of your mind. You let your cursor hover over the match button on his profile before slowly clicking down on the mouse and watching with bated breath as the screen changed again.
That little heart man, now less animated, was the last sight you saw after you clicked. He was accompanied by a few speech bubbles saying, “The alpha you have chosen will be notified; please feel free to browse our events as you wait.”
The word ‘events’ was lit up in another color separate from the text and clearly a link to the rest of the website. At the end of the day, they WERE trying to sell you something, but curiosity got the better of you, and you clicked the link without another thought.
You looked over the two packages they offered and let your cursor hover over the gold package. You stared at its short description, comparing it with the smaller vacation bundle that sat beside it on the screen. You think it over and cautiously click on the icon.
The prices were the first thing that struck you, as none of them were very expensive for what they were advertising. Saving a few bucks always seemed to sweeten the deal, but it really made it all seem too good to be true.
The resort has a full staff available in case of an emergency and are simply a call away. All meals would come in the form of meal kits or ready-made gourmet dinners, as well as a selection of wine and spirits for those 21 and over.
There was a little policy note at the bottom, in smaller letters.
“All reservations are refundable upon cancellation 7 days before the date of the reservation. If you cancel your stay after 7 days, you will be charged a cancellation fee. In the event that your desired partner declines your match, you will be prompted to choose another alpha from the list given to you.”
The idea of being rejected by a stranger online made some of the appeal wear thin. You x-ed out of the pop-up, only to notice a notification lighting up your screen.
He had matched with you immediately, causing another flutter of hearts to pulse over the computer for one moment. On the little message icon sat the number one to indicate somebody had reached out to you, and you clicked on it right away.
The chat room opens up on your screen to show a little chat box bubble saying, “Hi beautiful ;)". The old-style winky face gave his age away and made some of the insecurities in your belly melt.
This 'James' had matched you so soon, and to have him reach out to you on your screen still made you nervous.
The bouncing dots popped up below the first message to indicate he was still typing. You're frozen on the spot as the messages just keep popping up.
“Hello?”
It seemed a bit impatient, but you didn’t think to care; you were too thrilled by this new encounter.
“Hi, sorry, I was..” Oh god, what could you say? “…away from the phone.” Not true, but telling your possible new beau that you were frozen with fear upon seeing his message seemed, well, lame.
“That’s ok.”
“You new here? I haven’t seen your profile before.”
“Yeah. I just signed up.”
“Does that mean I was your first choice? ;)”
You felt you should be honest after your previous fib, and answered immediately.
“ I just saw your profile and clicked it right away. I didn’t expect you to get back to me so soon.”
“Leave a beautiful Omega like you waiting? Not a chance, doll.”
Every word made the air grow thinner, making your head just swim in the rising heat that started to subtly overtake your body. It was such a new feeling to have warmth in your body feel so good.
Those three dots danced across his next speech bubble, and you waited every second for his next word.
“Have you ever been with an alpha before? I’d hate to come on too strong and scare you away.”
Your breath felt shallow before you answered truthfully. “No, I haven’t.”
There have only ever been two people you’ve given yourself to like that. Two particularly nice betas who just couldn’t help you as you needed, but tried anyway. Being with an Alpha seemed like so much more of a big deal, but the idea of a big, horny monster sinking their teeth into your flesh makes you start to hyperventilate. It was permanent, and you didn’t want to just throw away your forever to someone who could be cruel to you.
But something about this felt different. He looked so soft and kind, you could nearly feel his finger gently caressing your cheek as each word popped up on your screen. Something about this encounter felt safe.
You typed without thinking, letting the question fill the screen as anxiety ate away at the warmth that once sat in your belly. “Does that bother you?”
You waited for a response, watching those little dots until they disappeared without a new message. A solid minute felt like an eternity, and your heart sank further as each one ticked by.
You typed out a quick “I’m sorry," hoping you weren’t the one scaring him off instead with your lack of experience.
You breathed a sigh of relief as his response popped up. “Do not be sorry. There is no problem with wanting to wait.” Followed by another “I feel like a lucky guy.”
“I guess I’m just a little embarrassed; I’m glad it doesn’t bother you.” You typed away, fully engrossed in his attention.
“Don’t be; that kind of thing means more than you’d think in this day in age.”
It popped across your screen, giving you much-needed relief, only for the next message to set your nerves ablaze all over again.
“What made you decide to join the site?”
It popped over your screen faster than you could shoo it away. The reason for you was obvious after dragging yourself through that doctor's office. You needed help, and somehow that simple red flier had shown out to you like a beacon on a stormy shore.
You wanted to be honest, but some things felt better kept close to yourself than within the reach of others. You answered with the shallow truth.
“Dating can be difficult. I found the advertisement today and decided to check things out.” You tapped the enter button and sent the message, but your fingers continued to type. Maybe it was an attempt to keep his questions from probing into your answer even further, as you sent him an inquiry of your own.
“What about you? What made you decide to join the website?”
The laptop sat silently, aside from the whirring of its little fan. No bouncing dots, no indication of his response. Maybe his reasons were somehow more personal than your own.
You began to lose a little faith as the chat room continued to sit empty until his chat bubble finally popped up. Each second it took for the words to show was a second too long.
“I’d say it’s about the same. I guess I just wanted to try something different.”
“And how’s it working out so far?”
“I’d say, far better since you popped up.”
It was such a cliche line, but you loved it. You even laughed a little as you typed back.
“That fast, huh? It’s been less than a day "
“But you’ve already made my whole week.”
It brought an immediate smile to your rosy face. It was so fun—almost a fantasy. No danger, no recourse, no fear. You looked back at his little picture on the screen, his smiling face; it was a far cry from any other alpha already, and you hadn’t even seen him in the very flesh.
But it had been less than a day, and it was an obvious blow to this little oasis that had built around you in the matter of minutes. You didn’t want this moment to end, not when reality was waiting for you afterward.
The hours passed as you did each playful word with this ‘James’.
“I can’t wait to meet you, Omega.”
Your heart fluttered to an unnatural rhythm the moment it popped onto your screen.
"Omego,” you repeated his use of your denomination.
For a whole week, you could be the omega to his Alpha. You thought about the glamorous getaways your matchmaker had advertised. So you thought that, just maybe, that could be you.

Quirky RC!Hajime - Talentsharer HCs
This is kind of a different approach to Hajime having all the talents at once, and merely just him having access to one talent at a time through whichever Ultimate touched him recently (or vice versa). He's still a Reserve Course student, he's just a little quirky (HAHA).
How long does it apply for? For an hour or two before wearing off.
How does it work? For the duration, Hajime will exhibit similar interests and experience as the person who interacted with him, but he won't have the same quirks (i.e. Being the Ultimate Musician, he'll have a nice voice/desire to sing, write songs, and play instruments, but he won't have the same music taste as Ibuki). Afterwards, it just fades away slowly until all the knowledge and experience is gone completely (sorry, I imagine Hajime's voice is also average, which honestly, mood). His memory of what he did and accomplished doesn't go away though. If someone else touches him before the hour ends, his thoughts will shift accordingly to the new person's talent and the previous talent isn't accessible anymore (i.e. if he's tinkering with something because of the Ultimate Mechanic talent but Mikan trips and accidentally bonks Hajime in the head, he'll be unable to finish the project).
Who's giving their talent most often? Kazuichi and Ibuki through constant casual touches and/or hugs (mainly Ibuki for that one). You can bet 100% you've got a Hajime having to deal with a sudden compulsion to fix everything with schematics in his head, along with very sensitive hearing mixed with a love for humming and strumming. Nekomaru's up there too, because he comes up to Hajime to give him a hearty slap on the back and give him tips to be a great rugby player. It makes Hajime match his energy and suddenly they're plotting together on how best Hajime could succeed ("Hey, actually, don't you think I'd make a great snowboarder?") As well, Hajime looks at his classmates and mentally judges whether their physique would befit an athlete in x sport, and makes off the cuff comments about it.
Who's giving their talent least? Nagito goes out of his way to avoid touching or interacting with Hajime when he knows he's in the Reserve Course (Nagito gets a LIL curious though when he observes Hajime hanging out with his fellow classmates). Peko isn't the type to touch people unwarranted, even casually. Kuzuryuu isn't either, but he'll give Hajime a friendly shove every once in awhile. I can't imagine Mahiru touching him much, but they do get along decently enough.
How does this affect Hajime's day to day life? No one actually knows about it, and he's not even aware of it. Once he meets Chiaki, he still isn't aware of it. After all, it's kind of hard to notice if you're not interacting with Ultimates that much. It becomes prevalent after he's been adopted by Class 77-B and he's being casually touched or brushed against, with his impulses shifting in different directions. He starts noticing it and he thinks he's gone insane, and that's when he tries talking about it with other RC students and a handful of Ultimates. Nagito's pretty interested in this whole mystery and how it manifests, considering the circumstances. Chiaki says he's collecting power-ups. "Like Pokemon! Why don't you try to collect 'em all?" "...yeah, no thanks, I don't want to get my ass kicked by Mahiru."
How would this impact the Killing Game? Well, the implications are kind of silly... for instance, when Hajime's trying to figure out his talent with Nagito, he'll be casually brushed (or bumped into) by his classmates and suddenly have hints of having that talent (I have a drabble for this). Of course, the knowledge wears off, and it's dismissed for being beginner's luck. On that note, Nagito considers the idea that perhaps Hajime also has a luck based talent or something to that effect, but they don't get to pursue that thought much before, well, y'know. Also features some shenanigans where Nagito brushes Hajime throughout the game and Hajime starts dealing with a luck cycle but on steroids (considering the 1-2 hour length). Imagine that just because Nagito touches Hajime through encouraging shoulder grips and wrist grabbing, the whole killing game doesn't even start because other chaos ensues. Even Monokuma is baffled because there's suddenly a tsunami??? He didn't even do that???
Some conceptualization rambles under the cut.
I 100% made this because I want to make (more) drabbles for this.
I love Hajime and I'm not overly partial to giving him a talent (although I do have a talentswap AU with him having one bc that's free real estate), but I do find the idea of giving Hajime in a non-despair AU (or even in context to the game) something a little unique fascinating.
I do have more concepts along the lines of "Hajime is a Reserve Course student but he DOES have something strange about him". All of the ideas are on a silly note and not the most logical, but I do enjoy finangling them around in my head.
Also, unintentionally I made most of the Quirky RC concepts so far with him meeting Nagito first instead of Chiaki (except this one). I do have a reasoning for that. I needed to give Hajime a reason to be... less willing to meet the Ultimates. That'll makes sense whenever I post my next quirky!hajime idea.

The Find My Team app
Find My Team is one of those little world building additions I've spent way too much time on, so it shows up in all of my fics. I was thinking about additional mechanics and I decided to create a mock-up of what it looks like from the admin side and talk about it a bit.
For context, FMT is an app only available to team leaders at the Huntsmen academies. With admin permission, leaders can request to know where one or more of their team members are in real time for a requested duration, generally for outings, trainings, and emergencies. They can also request a one-time location ping. Glynda is the administrator for Beacon Academy. All combat track team leaders, regardless of year, have FMT.
School Hours
During school hours, all leaders' location are passively tracked and readily available to admins. All team members are set to auto ping. This means that a FMT location request will automatically provide a single location ping for a student. This has a cool-down of one hour. Team leaders still have to provide justification, which Glynda can review later, if she feels the need.
School hours - no active requests:
Tumblr media
Example: Jaune puts in a ping request because Pyrrha and Nora are really late for lunch for some reason, even though they don't have a Foraging outing. (ORT reference :3 ) The members will go back to auto-ping status once the cooldown has run out.
Tumblr media
This is for 'they're not answering their scroll and I'm a lil worried' situations.
Of course, they can also request active tracking as well, if they're gonna go into the woods or doing a Grimm Hunt for class credit, this is the ideal option.
Weekday After Hours
Team leaders often have additional classes or meetings during the week, so their locations are still available to admins. However, team member tracking is now inactive. Of course, Glynda can pull any student's location as needed but it's not as available.
So, for example, this is how it would look if Ruby were putting in an request for Weiss' location after hours on a weekday.
Tumblr media
Glynda gets a notification to review the request. She reads over Ruby's reasoning, checks Weiss' location herself, and makes a decision on whether she thinks Ruby needs to know where she is.
If she approved, she has two options: give Ruby tracking data for where Weiss is in real time for the duration requested (or another duration she deems acceptable). This would be the most useful for extracurricular forest outings, for example.
Tumblr media
Or she can give Ruby a single ping, which then puts location request on the hour cool down. If she thinks Ruby needs simple reassurance but doesn't want her bugging Weiss constantly, this would be the likely answer.
Tumblr media
Of course, she can also deny a request. In this case, she can simply reset the student to inactive or she can set a timed auto-deny to act as a cool down, with an applicable error code.
Weekends
Weekends are a bit different. Student tracking, both for leaders and team members, is inactive by default.
Tumblr media
Weekends after hours provide auto-denial for team members, similar to afterhours on weekdays.
Tumblr media
Error Codes
Glynda can set it to auto-deny and show an administrator error code.
100s are technical issues, like 101: scroll offline or 102: scroll out of range
200s are student preferences, based on student submitted info earlier in the year. for example, if a student put in unavailability for religious reasons and their team leader tried to pull their location at that time, they'd get 201: student unavailable or during vacation 202: student break
300s are administrator codes so 301: admin unavailable would be something you'd get after hours or on weekends when Glynda is unavailable after a certain time (i.e. her bedtime). She can also simply assign a backup admin to take over for her. She just likes to be the person who manages requests because she values student privacy and consistency.
400s are instructor related. professors have scroll interfaces in their classroom that help adjust scroll permissions as needed for classes.
Glynda denies often and liberally. She values student privacy and she doesn't want team leaders getting mad with power about how much they can bug their teammates, especially since it doesn't go both ways. Glynda tries to respond within 15 minutes maximum, but her average response time is actually around 5 minutes! Even with about 30 combat track teams, she only gets a handful of requests each day that require a manual response.
For the sake of administrative streamlining, FMT isn't available to regular team members. Leaders are expected to maintain their location/availability in a manner that makes FMT redundant via regular text/call during times when they would be able to pull location on their team. So like, if a leader is unavailable to track down on the weekend, that's fine, but if they're AWOL during the school day, that's unacceptable and grounds for demerits.
FMT is meant as auxiliary tool for combat outings first and as a last resort for finding a teammate second. Leaders are expected to maintain a good relationship with their teammates so that a simple text will suffice. If rationale provided seems like a leader hasn't texted or called and it's a non-emergency, Glynda is more likely to deny the request outright.
Professor Input
For example, when Nora, Pyrrha, and Yang are on their Foraging outing in chapter 15 of hpimt, messages in the RWBY group chat get an automatic kickback because Yang is on an outing and her scroll has been locked from transmitting to anything except Peach's scroll.
In a similar instance in chapter 10 of ORT, Jaune recalls getting an error on FMT while trying to pull Nora and Pyrrha's location during a Foraging outing ("request denied. code 408: independent class mission.").
How does that work? Professor Peach sets an 'exception' mode using an instructor scroll interface. This makes Goodwitch's admin side look something like this.
Tumblr media
She can tap on any student with an auto-deny to see which professor set their status. Professors taking students on outings tend to do this but it isn't required. Oobleck doesn't like to. Port used to but no longer does. Peach only does it so she can encourage her students to wayfind, but she's very good at keeping an eye on them all.
However, just because the interface shows a professor has set an autodenial, doesn't mean that someone didn't hack or otherwise jam scrolls or interfaces.
Don't worry about it. :)
The Fall
As soon as things start to go sideways, Glynda uses her admin override and indefinitely sets FMT to active tracking for all students.
Tumblr media
In Case of Emergency
FMT also has an emergency call feature. Team leaders can press their scroll's home button and shake their scroll for three seconds to activate an emergency call to admin. This rings Glynda and alerts campus medical and security teams of the team leader's location. If Glynda doesn't pick up within three rings (it sounds like a siren on her end), it triggers a predetermined administrative phone tree until someone answers the leader.
Miscellaneous Notes
FMT is separate from aura monitoring which all team members have access to.
However only team members and admins can see absolute aura rather than percentage; instructor interfaces only report percentages.
I don't have all my OC teams completed, hence the empty spots.

Ghost
When your family died when you were fifteen, you’d vowed then and there never to attend another funeral again. So, of course, you did the only reasonable thing you could and joined the US Navy. It had been the only option you had left as a destitute orphan without family, prospects, or money. After the funerals, you’d done all the research and walked into a Navy Recruitment Office. The Recruitment officer had suggested the Naval Academy. For the next three years, you ate, drank, and breathed only your school work, working as hard as possible to gain admittance to the Naval Academy.
The Naval Academy was where you met Bradley Bradshaw for the first time. You’d felt even more lost than when you’d lost your family. You wanted to succeed, but everywhere you looked, it always seemed like there was somebody better. You didn’t know how to be better. You didn’t have your Mom cheering you on anymore. Or your dad’s corny jokes as he helped you with your math homework. You didn’t have anybody you loved in your corner anymore — just strangers in a crowded room.
As you peered blearily into the giant textbook in your lap, you were strung out and infuriated, giant raccoon-like bags under your eyes. It was a Saturday afternoon, and you were under a tree at a park near campus. Your physics reading wasn’t making sense, and your entire body ached, to stay awake. That’s when you’d felt somebody sit down next to you.
“Do you mind? I’m trying to study.” Your voice was a snap as you tried and failed to keep your irritation out of your tone.
“I’m trying to do the same. And I know. We’re in the same class. You sit two rows behind me.”
That one interaction over physics changed your life. You found yourself a part of his friend group, basking in the warmth of his smile. You’d followed Badley Bradshaw to flight school and joined him as a naval aviator. You finally felt like you’d found a place in life. Right by his side. And you’d finally found your calling as well. You loved flying. You lived for it, honestly. It was why you were ecstatic when you were called to Top Gun. It meant you could finally protect Bradley Bradshaw like he had protected you over the years.
But that only worked when you were in the same place as him. You’d still been in Japan with your squadron and his when you’d gotten word that something had happened. He’s only been back in Miramar for a month. Your heart had dropped when Admiral Simpson called you via priority one communique and ordered you to come back to Miramar. The entire duration of the 18 hour flight had been filled with your mind providing you all the worst case scenarios.
If only you’d known. You’d made your way onto the base at North Island just in time to see two coffins being unloaded from a military transport. Your legs gave out as your mind struggled to comprehend the situation. There was no way. That couldn’t be Bradley. Not him. Anyone but him. But Bradley, it was. He’d gone down, somebody, probably Admiral Simpson, told you. Shot down in an F-14 being piloted by Captain Pete Maverick Mitchell. But the mission had been a success, he said. Two people were dead. Gone in an instant. And the mission was a success?! Your eyes didn’t dry the entirety of their funerals or when you were given the flag over Bradley’s coffin. That brings you to now.
“Oh, B.” You’re talking to his gravestone in the silence of the cemetery. The other mourners have long since left, leaving you in your dress uniform staring at one of the only parts of him you have left.
“Why’d you have to do it? Why’d you have to go back? I know he was the only family you had left, but I thought you knew that you had me, too.”
You’re crying again, sobbing as you lay your head against the cold stone.
“The worst part isn’t that you’re gone. We’re human, I know that. The worst part is that you chose to go, to leave me behind. And you ripped everything that I had found away from me. How am I supposed to get back up in a jet again without you by my side? How am I supposed to move on with my life?”
You’d give anything to feel his arms around you again or to hear the rich timber of his voice as he tells you that everything would be okay. But it isn’t and he is gone, leaving you alone in the world once more.
“The ghost of you lingers around me everywhere — every second of the day.”
You’re breathing raggedly, waiting with bated breath for someone, anyone to tell you this was a joke. A sick joke, but a joke nonetheless. But that’s not what you get. You just hear birds in the trees and the wind whistling through the stones. There isn’t another soul in sight.
“I just want it to stop. Please.” You’re screaming, throat aching at the stress. Each breath cuts like knives as struggle to hold back the wave of emotions you regain your equilibrium. But you can’t. Your equilibrium is gone. Buried in a wooden casket six feet below you. “Please.” That’s when your tears spill over into sobs that rack your frame.
You don’t know what you’re begging to anymore as you sob, curling into the stone like it would bring the person you miss back to you. But it won’t. You’re a rational adult, you know the difference. You just hope that Bradley, if he’s watching over you, doesn’t begrudge your decision to turn in your wings and leave the Navy. You don’t have to only take of yourself anymore. You have to take care of a small being, half him and half you. And you can’t do that from a fighter jet anymore. You don’t know how you’re going to do it at all. But you’ll bring them to visit him, all the time. And they will know their father, even if they’ll never feel his hands or his embrace.
