Some people online have said they think people like me customize our home arcade cabinets to look more authentic in order to sell them and defraud people by posing them as originals..

That's a bad faith point of few that forgets the following Speaking for myself:

I'm not building my cabinets to sell nor do I have any intentions on doing so.. some of the things I've done are even improvised and wouldn't sell it as production worthy..

Needless to say but I'm doing it for myself because I actually like these things and intend to keep them..

I wouldn't defraud people anyway.. and I'd go out on a limb and say most people who customize their own home arcades because they want more accurate looking ones in their home arcades don't either… that's not their goals..

We might live in an insane world but not everyone is like that..

It's still obvious to anyone who would buy vintage cabinets that these are not the same ones even after all mods are done due to differing metrics like the best modded home arcades, particularly in the upright variety are more cabaret sized most of the time.. often at least a little smaller..

People who hate home arcades should not be in home arcade online groups.. IMHO

Negativity in groups is mind poison and I've felt myself being poisoned by it so much that it along with other things makes me feel depressed and pessimistic and I need an antidote..
