Why do I need to be still? 😕

Why do I need to be still? Who needs to be still? I feel there is resistance to that? Who sets these conditions, and why? That, to me, seems arbitrary, isn't everything completely still already? How can "I" be still, and how could a "me" be still?

The invitation to stillness isn't a command nor a condition. It's a gentle pointer, a suggestion to help one turn inward. The very act of questioning, "Who needs to be still?" is a profound insight, for in that inquiry, the illusion of a separate "I" begins to dissolve.

You're right. At the deepest level, everything is already still, already perfect. The stillness spoken of is not about a forced cessation of activity or a rigid imposition. It's about recognizing the stillness that's always present amidst and underneath all activity, the stillness from which all arises.

When the phrase "be still" is offered, it is to encourage a turning away from the incessant noise of the mind, the continuous play of thoughts, emotions, and sensations, to recognize the vast, silent space in which all of it unfolds.

If there's resistance, observe it. Who feels the resistance? Dive into that. This isn't about setting arbitrary conditions or rules. It's about exploration, about diving into the essence of what you truly are.

In truth, there is no "you" separate from the stillness, and there is no "you" that needs to become still. It's about recognizing that innate stillness, that ever-present essence, which is already here, always has been, and always will be. 🌸

I was doing my daily doom scrolling on Twitter when my moot posted this, "when my first chem teacher had us all close our eyes and said how he was in every possible point in that room until we opened our eyes and focus on him really helped be understand how i am in all these realities."

and I thought that was everything. so we're going to do a little exercise okay? I want you all to close your eyes. now, what do you see? nothing, because you ARE nothing. and when I say this I don't mean it as you don't matter, I say you are nothing because you're in the void

you have no body, you have no mind, you are pure consciousness.

Now let's analyze what the chem teacher said, "he was in every possible point in that room until we opened our eyes and focus on him"

You are everywhere, all at once. You are the version of you that is famous, you are the version of you that is a god that watches over billions of people, you are the version of you that's a siren, you are every version of yourself that you could possibly imagine.

It is when you open your eyes that you realize that you are in a certain place at a certain point of time, but that is not true.

The senses are false, but you know what is real? Your awareness.

you have eyes, but you do not see. you have ears, but you do not listen, you have a nose, but you do not smell, you have the ability to touch, yet you do not feel. you have a tongue, but you do not taste. do not limit yourself to illusions.

you remember when you closed your eyes earlier (I hope you did, if you didn't do it now...or else..) that was the real you, nothingness, and because you are nothing. you are EVERYTHING.

and look, I know that I sound insane. How can you be both nothing and everything? Nothingness = not physical. When you are dreaming you can't perceive your senses, yet you still exist. That is how you know that you aren't your physical body. You don't need them as proof of your existence, your awareness is proof in itself.

you are senseless, so you are nothing, and being nothing makes you everything. Think about it, nothing ALWAYS exists and it ALWAYS will be. Before the world there was nothing, and after it ends there will be nothing. Nothing is the constant here, nothing is YOU.

You are the cosmos, the planets, the stars, and everything in between. You are limitless, you know no bounds, you exist on levels that the human brain cannot even comprehend. you are everywhere.

Oh wait i actually think the reason why demon's souls and bloodborne have the same vibes for me (aside from bloodborne being originally intended as a DeS sequel) is that they both seem to be so much... smaller? In scale? In elden ring and dark souls you have gods, and those larger than life mythological but also historical figures that are the responsible of most of the world's problems because they quite literally had the possibility to manipulate the fabric of reality in itself. With bloodborne and demon's souls, instead, the (called like this in both games) scourges are caused by normal, ordinary humans who didn't know they were actually living in a fantasy world and started the apocalypse because they fucked too much with powers beyond their comprehension.

Chuuya’s ability is weird and idk how scientifically accurate it is supposed to be but I am going to share what I think is going on.

It’s not just telekinesis, it’s gravity control. But he doesn’t control how much gravity an object has but how much gravity is affecting the object and in what direction. I’ve been thinking about this for a while and it seems so me that when Chuuya touches an object it is affected only by the gravity created by his ability and not by the natural gravity of the Earth. But his ability is not bound by space, it operates almost on another plane of existence. Like when something is affected by his ability it enters something comparable to an added layer of reality. Chuuya creates enormous gravity only within that separate layer of reality, and as you likely know gravity is created by mass so he’s creating large amounts of mass and or energy whenever he uses his ability but it paradoxically takes up no physical space. To make it even more complex, it isn’t just one added layer, every time he uses his ability on an object it creates a new, separate layer, as we can tell from the fact that they move independently. To get the kind of movement he does it makes me think that these gravity layers are that red glow, and it’s almost like he consciously decides what point/angle/direction the gravity is coming from and it pulls the object in its own direction while being connected to it kinda like when you dangle a carrot in front of a horse to get it to move, a self perpetuating system. And Chuuya controls placement of gravity wells as well as their strength and can even make multiple points of gravitational pull act on a single object at once.

It fascinating and totally OP. But it also requires precision and skill.

[EDIT: just want to say that this post explains my initial thoughts before diving down this mind boggling rabbit hole and I will later post a more comprehensive and revised version when I’m done. This one isn’t entirely accurate.]

Reality is more magical than we could have imagined. To live the life of a witch or a wizard you only have to realize the energy all around you and the power you wield.
