Voidscarred Crosairs

My younger sisters Kill team from ages ago that just sat unpainted despite some use. This wasn't originally part of the Christmas present I planned for her, but they annoyed me enough by being unpainted that I decided to just paint them in a color scheme she picked out (minus the copious amounts of pink... I didn't have any and the local stores didn't stock any.)

No painting today, but we go up to the local game shop and spend some time rolling dice. I've really gotten into Kill Teams and it has been one of the most enjoyable games I play. I started work on my Voidacarred Corsairs almost a year ago and they've just got back lined to other projects and my preference to playing my Warpcoven/Thousand Sons team. It was nice to bring them out and play against the Blooded.

Base looks kinda scuffed because I only decided to do a marble one after painting the rest of him & didn't file the texture down, but otherwise I think he came out pretty good

For any of those interested 40k RPers out there, I just got myself a copy of the new Wrath & Glory Aeldari sourcebook, Inheritance of Embers. If you’re curious about the new playable archetypes added into the game, here they are:

From the Drukhari-

Kabalite, Wych, Hellion, Beastmaster, Incubus, Mandrake (a surprise to me! Pretty cool you can play that,) Scourge, Archon, Haemonculus, Succubus.

From the Harlequins-

Troupe Player, Death Jester, Shadowseer, Troupe Master.

From the Corsairs-

Voidreaver, Voidscarred, Soul Weaver & Wayseeker, Felarch, Corsair Prince.

From the Asuryani-

Guardian, Ranger, Dark Reaper, Dire Avenger, Fire Dragon, Howling Banshee, Striking Scorpion, Swooping Hawk, Warp Spider, Warlock, Wraithguard (sick,) Autarch, Farseer.

Pretty solid lineup of classes! Any avid RPer or GM can use this book to make a heck of a Eldar game, and it sure is nice seeing C7 give some love to some factions outside of the Imperium for tabletop roleplay. And yes, I am a d100 faithful and do like Imperium Maledictum more than Wrath & Glory… buuut I do think if you’re doing a Xenos/post-human game, Wrath & Glory is a far better choice for the scale of action you’d want to do.

Corsairs! Finally got them based. Really pleased how these came out. I was trying to get a balance of brighter Eldar colours and a more, grimdark style.

First game of today

Brought my Novitiate against some eldar. Kyth managed to gain the lead in the 2nd turning point, which was only evened out by me in the 4th turning point.

In the last turning point, both Kyth and I had 3 operatives left, however I had my hospitaller tank two shooting actions, remaining alive with 1 wound.

The stress was real for a whole two rounds as my units keept dropping due to the voidscarred being very well positioned.
