Thousands of years ago, this construction and maintenance robot somewhere in the galaxy developed sentience, her AI became smarter than any other, she befriended organic life, and wanted to give life, emotions, sentience, etc. to robots. And she also wants both organics and robots to become friends and live in harmony. She gets modifications and infused with some cosmic magic of the universe, and becomes a Robot Goddess. And, she even upgraded Robot Magical Girl Kasey at one point. As a robot goddess, she'd be the perfect balance of analytical and emotional. And ends up a mother figure to Lady Botessa after they meet early in the latter's life.

(Long ah post) Re-did my monster taxonomy again, now with more ranks and specificity. I shall now go into more detail about everything on there. Some taxons are grouped together for lack of anything differentiating them. Things in italics and parentheses are out of universe notes, everything else is information known to the monsters. Also yes this does mean the scientific names for the old monstiary pages are almost all inaccurate again.
Monsters are under the domain Monstra. To be put in the domain you need to be sapient and capable of breeding, some exceptions may be made for certain monsters that are clearly monsters but can’t breed. (The chart is nearly the same as the ones that are used in the modern day monster world, but the exact arrangements of species may be changed as some “monsters” aren’t even monsters but most don’t know that nor have a way to find out. Divina was added after the Wubbox were discovered, thus the addition of the last part of the previous in-world sentence as they can’t breed)
Kingdoms
(This was added after the original document was written) Divina is where the monster species made directly by gods go, a semi-waste bin taxa. The name “Divina” goes down to the genus allowing for unique species names. They seem to be immortal, and possess great power over their elements. The two monsters under the ranks are Divina mechana (Wubbox) and Divina simiservice (Enchantling). Organica contains the ordinary monsters made of living organic matter. They have living cells, can breed, and most of them need to eat, but that’s not a requirement. Inorganica contains the ordinary monsters that are made of primarily inorganic/non living matter while they are alive. They can breed, and none of them need to eat. They run entirely off of their lifeforce, but they eat sometimes for enjoyment.
Phylums
Beastia or beasts are critter-like monsters. Mondragora contains plant-like monsters (Mushrooms are plants in this universe, but there are true fungus like molds and yeasts, they just are barely researched). Reanimata or reanimated monsters are similar to the undead from ancient stories. These monsters are made of cells, but dead ones. Constructa are mainly made of non cellular materials.
Classes (not element classes those are different)
Segmenta or segmented monsters have an segmented exoskeleton composed of chitin, a nervous system primarily on their ventral side, hemolymph, a heart that is on the dorsal side, and molt to grow. Jellatina (through that to jellatidae) or jellatinous monsters are a very broad classification, a semi-wastebin taxon. Basically they don’t have a spinal cord, but aren’t segmented. Chordata or chordates have spines of some sort, even if they are very small and simple as in the inkfish(Atrapicidae). They have blood, and internal mineralized bones. Fungi (to Sporalis) or mushroom monsters have no leaves, are consumers, and aren’t like critters. They are actually a network of mycelium and what looks like their bodies are actually just puppets that are made for interacting with other monsters, and maybe aiding in breaking down food. They can shortly detach these and animate them for a bit while not connected to their mycelium, this behavior is most commonly seen in Sporalis sadisticus (Squot), but the others can do it too. Plantae (to Florales) or plant-like monsters are, well, plant-like monsters. They have chloroplasts and are autotrophs, and can absorb nutrients from soil through special membranes mostly on their feet, but some other monsters can do this too so it’s not a requirement. Instead of activating muscles with muscle fibers, they use hydraulics. They inject and retract water from special absorbent tissues that expand and shrink depending on how much water is in them. For transporting materials through their bodies they use xylem. Phantasma (to Phantidae) or phantoms are ghost-like monsters. They have no organs and instead use a special fluid called ectoplasm that does all their bodily functions like digestion, material transport, and movement. Speaking of movement ectoplasm can stay suspended mid air allowing them to float. Skelleosis (to Skelidae) or skeleton monsters are mostly made of calcified bones. They don’t need to eat, sleep, or do anything a living organism needs to do. Constructa(the class, to Mechina) are monsters that construct their bodies. They often start out by their egg morphing into their first form, and then as they gain more lifeforce as they grow they can support a larger body and add on to their forms. Incramentids (to Goleformes) are inorganic monsters that grow like an organic one rather than building themselves.
Orders
Arachnids ( to Vasucta) are segmented monsters that eat by liquifying their food with their digestive juices by injecting it into their food with fangs. Insectiformes are the segmented monsters that eat by chewing or sucking up already liquid food. Synapsids (to Mammalidae) have solid skulls with three holes in each side, differentiated teeth, warm blood, and are the only organic monsters that can have fur. Amphibians (to Amphibidae) are monsters with skin they can breathe through when wet, and solid skulls. Sauropids have solid skulls with five holes in them, and undifferentiated teeth. Piciformes or piscine monsters have skulls with multiple parts, undifferentiated teeth, and partial thermal regulation. Most have gills and lungs.
Families
Crustacean (to Crustata) monsters are Insectoid monsters that have filamentous gills that they use to breathe. Insect monsters are Insectoid monsters that breathe through spiracles. Reptilidae or reptilian monsters are cold blooded and are primarily covered in scales. Avidae or avian monsters are warm blooded sauropsids. Ossipicidae or ossipicids are piscine monsters with calcified bones. Cartelpicidae or cartelpicids are piscine monsters with cartilage bones. Atrapicidae (to Suctipedes) or inkfish are piscine monsters with beaks, very underdeveloped spines that are one or two bones. Herboceae or herbal monsters are plant-like monsters with no bark on them and instead have soft stems. Arboraceae or tree monsters are monsters with bark. Miniralidae (to Geologica) are monsters made of minerals, they typically eat the minerals that they are made of and they are then heated in a special organ called a kiln, the molten rock is then gradually pushed to the surface to cool and harden into the new surface plates of rock. How they move has been theorized to be magic based. Articinidae (to Artinzina)or artisan monsters are made of materials like wood, fabric, or other crafts materials. They grow and do everything in a magic based way.
Genuses
Insectidae - Dronsecta or dronesects are insect monsters that can open portals with their wings. Larvasa are neotonus insectoids that stay in their larval states for their entire lives. Colomu means colored wings and Colomu have colored wings instead of the clear ones other insectoids have. Insectidae is just a wastebin-taxon where the rest of the insect monsters go.
Jellatidae - Membrana have membranes around their fluid insides. Fluidum have part of their bodies as uncontained fluids, the only monster in this genus are Fluidum _____ (haven’t named the species yet) (Whimsies), wich boil the fluid to fill a sack they make to contain it, which allows them to float. Molluscus is a wastebin-taxon that contains the rest of the soft bodied monsters.
Mammalidae - Ferrae are carnivorous monsters that actively hunt things and have sharp teeth. Ruminanta are monsters that have more than 4 stomachs and eat grasses and other tough things that require a lot of digestion. Humammalia are bipedal omnivorous monsters with mostly flat teeth. Psudoreptillia are semi-cold blooded monsters with calcified skin that resemble scales. Thumpidae are monsters that share a morphological resemblance to or are Thumpidae thumpus (Thumpies), which means they have no ribs and primarily move with spring loaded bones retracted by muscles. Cabutoris exists to contain the species Cabutoris maw (Maws), which fit nowhere else.
Amphibidae - Anura have no tails, Squamosis have calcified lumps beneath their skin that make them look like they have scales.
Reptilidae - Lizardae have flat-tipped tongues. Dracoda have forked tongues. Dinodae have non-splayed-out limbs.
Avidae - Pluma have beaks and most are flighted. Humavia are bipedal and don’t have beaks, have bird-like feet, and no fur.
Ossipicedae - Squamifer have scales, Lenis don’t.
Cartelpicedae - Rayta have ray-like cartilage in their limbs, Serrata have serrated teeth which are mineralized.
Herboceae - Herbosa have proper leaves that are fairly thin, Suculata have thick leaves and store a lot of water.
Arboraceae - Ambularborae have no bark covered trunk, Trunka as the name implies, do
Phantidae - Banshee contains Banshee banshee (Whisps), and Banshee talona (Withurs). Felaspira contains Felaspira furrus (Ghatz) Felaspira serpenta (Xysters).
Skelidae - Carossis have some non-bone tissue, ossa are all bone.

[ad_1] Lexus has given us our first take a look at its subsequent EV. Dubbed the Lexus RZ, a 28 2d teaser video (which you'll be able to see above) presentations the outside styling from a variety of angles, however nonetheless leaves us with a lot of questions. The Lexus RZ may not be the primary totally electrical automobile from the logo - we have pushed the all-electric Lexus UX 300e - however it is going to be the primary Lexus EV constructed on a devoted BEV (battery electrical car) platform.Within the video teaser, we are proven the Lexus RZ from various angles, and whilst there may be now not an enormous quantity to glean from those candid photographs, there are a couple of nuggets of knowledge we will be able to pull out.We now have noticed what seems to be two charging port covers, one above every of the entrance wheel arches - we noticed this at the UX 300e, and different producers together with Audi and Porsche additionally be offering up twin charging ports on their EVs.What this offers for drivers is larger flexibility in terms of charging your automobile, as you do not want to fear about how you are drawing near a specific charger - there may be going to be a port at the facet you wish to have it.The chance is simplest on of those ports will reinforce the quickest charging connection on the other hand, so you should still want to memorize which facet is which relying at the charger you are at.You'll be able to additionally in finding Lexus' up to date rear design at the RZ, that includes a full-width mild bar and a small ducktail spoiler giving the automobile a contemporary, sporty edge. What we do not get any take a look at is the inner, so questions stay in regards to the styling and tech setup inside of.(Symbol credit score: Lexus)Research: a greater base from which to constructAs discussed, we have already pushed the primary Lexus EV, however the UX 300e didn't truly encourage due to its lackluster tech providing and cramped cabin.Alternatively, a part of the cause of its flaws is right down to it the usage of the usual UX base and adapting it to turn into an absolutely electrical car. The usage of an current ICE (interior combustion engine) platform supposed Lexus was once restricted in what it will do and the room by which it needed to paintings. The thrilling information at the Lexus RZ is it is going to be the primary automobile to make use of the company's logo new, devoted BEV platform. It way the RZ will probably be a real EV from the bottom up, with the whole lot designed with electrification in thoughts. This will have to permit Lexus extra flexibility in terms of cabin dimensions, and can optimistically see the creation of a brand new technology of in-car leisure and tech.We will have to attend for more info at the Lexus RZ, however the early indicators are promising - if extraordinarily transient. Abominable Snowball (poll at bottom)
sorry about the delay in getting this blog up n' postin', I realized after getting setup going that I don't actually know how I want to order this stuff. anyway, let's start by going roughly alphabetical
this is an Abominable Snowball!
Tumblr media
Abominable Snowball A great friend... for as long as the weather stays cold.
Item Category: Wintery Petpet
Available From: Restocks in Wintery Petpets (Terror Mountain), but also available from the Ice Arena of the Battledome (Terror Mountain) and The Snowager (Terror Mountain)
the other places the Abominable Snowball occurs use rarity-based systems of item generation (i.e. they can give any item of a certain rarity regardless of origin, e.g Esophagor in Haunted Woods, The Wishing Well in Neopia Central, Kiko Pop in Kiko Lake).
therefore it's pretty easy to determine that the Abominable Snowball's natural territory is Terror Mountain, primarily Happy Valley and the Ice Caves.
Habitat: Terrorpolar Alpine Forests
here's the rub: Abominable Snowballs may not be naturally occurring
Tumblr media
How to Build an Abominable Snowball Its quite easy once you look up how.
Abominable Snowballs can be built! this doesn't preclude them occurring naturally, but it is possible to roll some snow together, decorate it, and bring forth new life
note: it is not actually mechanically possible within the game of Neopets to build an Abominable Snowball, but that does not mean it doesn't happen outside of player influence.
(there is the question of whether Abominable Snowballs are even sentient, but it's the opinion of this blog that all Petpets are alive, or at least self-mobile, even Rocks, because all Petpets can enter and exit the Symol Hole independently)
this puts the Abominable Snowball's kingdom as either Elementa or Constructa, depending on whether they occur without Neopet influence.
i couldn't find any other items that lead me to believe one way or another, except that it's probably a common pastime to build Abominable Snowballs as one would a snowman:
Tumblr media
Abominable Snowball Fights Those poor Abominable Snowballs...
Tumblr media
Abominable Snowball Usuki Set This Usuki set comes with a carrot, mittens and buttons to dress up your Usukis Abominable Snowball.
the Abominable Snowball Acara Muffler and Abominable Snowball Acara Wig even equate the Abominable Snowball to a snowman:
Tumblr media
Abominable Snowball Acara Muffler A muffler for the added effect of a snowman.
Tumblr media
Abominable Snowball Acara Wig A pretty brown wig with a snowman hat for your Acara!
that said, building a regular snowman doesn't require instructions, as building an Abominable Snowball apparently does
also of note, Abominable Snowballs melt in heat and hot weather:
Tumblr media
Desert Abominable Snowball Maybe this was a bad idea...
(note that this is also the only Abominable Snowball color that has a unique description)
Tumblr media
Abominable Snowball Plushie Unlike the original, this ones an all-weather friend.
Tumblr media
Abominable Snowball Borovan Oh no! Who dropped that poor Abominable Snowball in the mug?
however, there is something to be said for the fact that the Desert Abominable Snowball retains the intelligence of a white Abominable Snowball, and can be converted back into an Abominable Snowball of any color by repainting it -- there is some quality of its aliveness that is carried across all colors, even if it appears to have melted, and despite the apparent ease with which one can put together their own.
due to the magical properties of Paint Brushes, though, this only goes for melting or other conversion through painting; that one in the borovan is gone forever.
there is also something to be said for the fact that all Abominable Snowballs of one color share identical accessories in identical configurations. one requires a green and red hat with a pompom to make an Abominable Snowball; no other hat will suffice. likewise it is possible in theory to make a small snowman that is almost but not quite identical to an Abominable Snowball, but that does not come alive as a true Abominable Snowball would. maybe this indicates the platonic nature of an Elemental, but one that can be replicated by Neopians? or perhaps one that is intangible in its natural state and, through creation of a suitable host, brought forth to inhabit a body?
finally, there is no indication that an Abominable Snowball can be made in any of its other colors, only its default color of White. that is, it may be the case that one can build a white Abominable Snowball, but must repaint it to achieve other colors. (which raises questions about the Robot color and others, but we don't need to worry about them thank god).
note that if it may occur as an Elemental, it should be considered an Elemental, even if it could also occur as a Construct
you can also make an argument in the replies or in my ask, etc!
all of the items examined in making this post have been added to this wishlist on Jellyneo, including some that were not discussed here but had some other tidbits about the nature of Abominable Snowballs.

Ah monster taxonomy, a confusing system I made primarily to give monsters cool scientific names, secondarily to make it so I don't have to restate shared traits between monster species. Btw if you are wondering why I didn't use the accurate terminations for taxonomic ranks it's because I didn't know about them and I like the names so I'm not changing them.
In universe and in real life the system was developed based off of shared morphological traits as the monster species aren't actually related to each other, so the only way to categorize them is by physical characteristics. As the ranks go down the shared traits get more specific, yadda yadda. Also there will be some general information on monsters after I get through all the ranks.
The first rank is kingdom, which is Monstra, monster kingdom, simple. It's requirements are the most basic qualifications for being a monster. Those will be explained at the end of this post. Next there's the two classes(not element classes, those are different and will be explained in another post eventually), Inorganica/inorganic, and Organica/organic. The inorganic class includes monsters that aren't structured like they are a fully living breathing animal, like just being bones or rocks. Organic monsters are organic and similar to animals of earth.
The order Constructa/constructs are monsters made up of a non-living substance, basically an extension of the inorganic class. Reanimata, a suborder, consists of monsters that are similar to the reanimated beasts of many human and monster world fiction stories. Or perhaps the monster world ghost stories were just of unknown plasma monsters causing mischief, who knows. The family Skeleossis includes monsters made of unliving bone. And Phantasma is made up of monsters made of ectoplasm, a weird gravity defying goop with strange properties like the ability to phase through walls and dissolve any organic matter.
The suborder constructa is different from the order constructa as it only includes monsters that look as if they are constructed of something. Mechina/mechs are robot monsters that grow by building themselves, Geologica/golems are made of minirals and usually grow by eating minirals, and Artizina are monsters made of things commonly found in a craft store, they're weird because they grow like a normal animal but they are made of craft supplies, they also tend to not eat anything.
Beastae/beasts are animal like monsters. Most of the suborders and families are self explanatory, and if they aren't you need to go to a zoo or outside or something. Or you can google them to see what they are as they were directly taken from actual taxonomy and correlate to an actual ranking. To save time I will explain the ones that don't make too much sense. Cartelpicae are cartilaginous fish, Ossispicae are bony fish, and Inkpicae are inkfish/cephalopod-like. Jellatina and Jellatinae are basically rankings where I threw all the monsters that are weird and slime-y or filled with liquid that I'd have to make an entire ranking for slugs or jellyfish despite it only having one monster in it. It's a space-saver. Humimamalia and Humavea can basically be described as fluffy humanoids that are either covered in fur or feathers respectively. Psudoreptillia is for all the monsters with scales that I don't feel comfortable putting in reptilieae for one reason or another.
Mondragora/mondrakes are plant/fungi monsters. We're using pre-1938 taxonomy here plants and fungi are totally not completely different things. Again most of these are self explanatory except Arborae and Noarborae. Arborae means tree and Noarborae means no tree. Arborae are plant monsters with woody bark and Noarborae don't have bark.
Now for what makes a monster a monster. The base classification of an organism being a monster is if it or its species was created by a god using a power element(fire and electricity) to force another monstrous element(natural, ethereal, and magical) to form into a living creature. This concoction of magic functions as a monsters' lifeforce. fire works, but only when the thing being brought to life is also fire. Electricity is the most common and a lot easier and you need a lot less of it. Monsters consider anything with innate musical ability and sapience to be a monster, which isn't the best method of classification as multiple critters fit this classification. There's also a few more correct classification methods in the monsters version of classifying a monster that I shall list and explain if necessary.
A monster is composed of elements that determine its species. Each combination of elements has to be associated with one species, with the exception of thumpies (I'll explain more about how those work in their monstiary page), and no other species can have the same elements as another.
A monster has to be able to breed. In this universe breeding refers to the process of forming an egg out of one's lifeforce and then merging it with another egg formed the same way to form an egg that eventually hatches into another organism. It's basically done how the breeding mechanics work in-game because I don't want the monsters to have sex/sexes in any way, shape, or form.
A monster must have a natural affinity to music or be inclined to learn how to do so. It also must be able to speak monstrous, the language of the signing monsters which is tonally based rather than based off of specific phonetics.
There's also a few more traits most monsters share that aren't really used for classification but are fun and make them unique creatures. Monsters almost all have hypersensitive hearing, by that I mean they can differentiate sounds from each other much better than a human could, the range of frequencies a monster can audibly detect depends on the species. A Monster could easily and clearly identify different sounds all playing at once. They could pick out the sound of rustling leaves while behind a waterfall and with earplugs in. Also, I feel like this is a good place to mention it, but just because a Monster either has ambiguous or non-existent sensory organs, unless it’s directly mentioned that they don’t have that sense, they still function and their bones look  like that organ is actually there ( adding a nose or ears or something would clutter most Monster’s designs, so I’m not doing that to them ). Their bodies also have a higher resistance to sonic vibrations, not for any evolutionary or physics-complying reason, I just felt like it.
The probability for a two handed Monster to be either left or right handed is about 50/50. Monsters regularly have thumbs on their feet as well, so the side their dominant hand is on is also the same side with the dominant foot. If a Monster species has more than two hands the members of said species will most likely be ambidextrous due to different neural pathways and stuff. Because of this weird split with dominant hands and feet, and some Monsters not having thumbs or even fingers, often any tools made will either be very customizable or require basically very little to no intricate hand movements to use.
A decent amount of a monster's internal functions are at least partially powered by their lifeforce. Because of how big these things are the only way they'd be able to function without needing to eat 24/7 is magic. And some of them can’t even eat in the first place because they’re fully inorganic, in which case they run entirely off of their lifeforce. Even then any monster with the means of putting food in their body can consume it, as long as it's organic. As mentioned, magic organs, which means they can digest anything.
Monsters have truly Monstrous digestive tracts. They are able to eat most organic matter and convert every last bit of it into something they can use, typically calories, but some nutrients are absorbed and used to maintain their bodies. Monsters have at least 3 stomachs, the first one is used as a second method of telling if they can actually digest something that they eat, and if they can't, they just puke up the contents of the first stomach. The second stomach has bacteria to aid in breaking down extra tough things, this sometimes extends to the third stomach in some species. The rest of the stomachs contain only acid and absorb a small amount of nutrients. Most of the nutrients are absorbed in their intestines, which also processes anything that wasn’t processed into nutrients into calories, this is partially aided by magic because realistically nothing could actually do that in real life. All Monsters are omnivores, but they are often adapted to be much better at absorbing nutrients from some things over others, leading to them still being able to be malnourished even though they are eating enough food.
If a Monster has vocal cords, unlike normal human-world animals, they can heal damage on them. ( That’s right folks! If you have ever lost your voice, you have had a permanent negative effect on those bad boys, because they don’t get fixed! ) This happens magically and much faster than the regeneration of any other part of their bodies. Due to how often they get used, and that Monsters live on average 250 years, they need to last a while. They are also quite important to the entire reason Monsters exist, which is to make music, which is why it is prioritized to be healed by magic instead of normal regeneration. This magic regeneration also applies to any parts of a Monster that makes its noise.
Also all monsters have a "purring" noise they make when they are happy, usually it sounds more like grumbling or the noise a small dog makes between barks. In some species it's the mechanical rumbling of a motor, but they all purr.
