Why do Bangladeshi Muslims need their own ethnostate? Why can't there be a one state solution under India?
Bangladesh is a country, not an ethnostate.
Bangladeshi Muslims do not need their own ethnostate. There are some extremists in every country every nation, but they do not represent the whole Bangladeshi Muslim community.
There cannot be a one state solution under India because Bangladesh is a country. A country that fought for liberation. A country where common people work hard every day to build it. A country with people who love BANGLADESH.
A country is not just a piece of land or just a name. One cannot simply think of including it within a one-state solution under another country. Before asking Bangladeshis this, please ask yourself whether you would consider India as part of a one state solution under Bangladesh or Pakistan.

Understanding the Enmity Between Hindus and Muslims: A Complex Tapestry
It is imperative that the Indian subcontinent comprehend the animosity between Muslims and Hindus in order to advance from its current $3.5 trillion economy to China's $17 trillion economy. According to India's 2021 census, Muslims make up 15% of the country's 1.4 billion inhabitants, making them the second-largest religious group behind Hindus (79.8%). According to figures released by the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) in May 2024, the proportion of Muslims in India has increased by 43% since 1950, from 9.84% to 14.09%. Though it does not accurately reflect reality, the growing Muslim population in India sends a clear message to the rest of the world that minorities in India are properly protected by the government.
If it is so, then why is there animosity between the two largest religious groups in India? There is not a single year we spend without riots between Hindus and Muslims. Why does this happen? And what could be the reason behind it? Know more...

While some ìncel brat with a noisy truck is always going to ignore it all and say you'll need guns, too, this is just a deliberately bad debate strategy.
This is a lot more important in an "apocalypse scenario" than guns.
Yes, individual sidearms would be wise to maintain distance from psychos who have no skills. Ask him who's making the bullets.

[the cover of A consensus handbook by Seeds for Change, featuring the title in Orange lettering followed by an color drawing of 11 people working on the maintenance of a house]
I'm going to share this as a separate post for those that missed the ask: A consensus handbook by Seeds for Change https://www.seedsforchange.org.uk/handbookweb.pdf is a free and very handy guide to how to take decisions as a group without leaders or hierarchies. I'm going to drop the chapters here to show off just how much useful stuff it has. If you work with consensus, there's almost certainly a problem in here that you recognize and wish you had some answers to!
1: Making decisions by consensus What’s wrong with the democracy we’ve got? - Why use consensus? How does consensus work? - The consensus process - Key skills and values for consensus 2: Facilitating consensus The role of meetings in group work - What is facilitation? - Facilitating a meeting – Making meetings accessible - Taking minutes 3: Facilitating consensus in large groups Meeting the conditions for consensus in large groups - Processes for large groups 4: Facilitating consensus in virtual meetings Why have virtual meetings? - The tools for the job - Challenges of facilitating virtual meetings - A consensus process for virtual meetings 5: Quick consensus decision making Preparing for quick consensus - How it works 6: Facilitation techniques and activities Starting the meeting - Regulating the flow of the meeting - Encouraging involvement - Techniques for problem solving and tackling difficult issues - Prioritisation techniques - Activities for re-energising - Evaluating meetings 7: Troubleshooting in your meetings Our meetings take a long time - Time pressure - Our meetings lack focus - Our group is large and we don’t enjoy meetings - We’re stuck and can’t reach a decision - Too many ideas - ‘Steamroller’ proposals - How can we deal with disruptive behaviour? - What to do when someone blocks - Our group is biased towards the status quo 8: Bridging the gap between theory and practice Conflict and consensus - The life cycle of a conflict - Ways of dealing with conflict - Techniques for inviting collaboration Power dynamics - Step one: What are our feelings about power dynamics? - Step two: Diagnosis – what is actually going on - in your group? - Step three: Where do your power imbalances come from? - Step four: Work out some ways to change your power dynamics Other common issues - External pressures - Open groups with changing membership - What if you’re the only person who wants the group to change? 9: Consensus in wider society So how might it work? - Challenges, questions and tensions - How do we get there? - A final thought

When one thinks of a charitable organization in Florida and Haiti, images of food drives, shelter homes, or community service often come to mind. These acts of kindness aren’t just about serving basic needs but symbolize a deeper and spiritual gesture that reflects the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Christmas Observations
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎄 One thing I observed at Aries placements is that they don't like it when the people around them are slow. They like everything to be fast and easy
🎄 Moon in earth signs gives me the vibes of a person nurturing everyone around them. That person who takes care of you when you are at your lowest
🎄 Capricorn houses may also indicate an area in your life where you need to finish something.
1st house - finishing topics about finding yourself
8th house - finishing topics on finding your inner power and rebirth after a painful situation
2nd house - finish financial debt. Never ask for money from others be independent
12th house - ending a karmic cycle that involves healing/subconscious trauma
6th house - focus on yourself, finish being critical about your needs
7th house - finish a karmic relationship/healing after a painful breakup
🎄 Capricorn/Aries/Scorpio and Sagittarius Sun/Rising/Venus are giving untamed energy. Is it not easy to make them follow you or to change them
🎄 Leo, Libra and Pisces placements can give you beautiful face features, eyes, lips, even hair, nose, etc
🎄 The Chiron sign in your parents birth chart can indicate what pain or wounds they have in this life and how it can manifest
🎄 If you have Pluto aspecting Mercury, sometimes you can regret the words you say to others because they tend to be quite painful/straightforward with their words
🎄 Cancer and Scorpio in the 7th house are big indicators that you want your partner to take care of you/to be nurtured, and to be understood emotionally
🎄 Leo/Sun in your 7th house can indicate you desire to be seen by your partner. People can overshadow you and you sometimes may not get the attention you need
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🎄 Chrion x Venus aspects can often indicate the person who is hurt romantically/hurt in a relationship/love. Also someone who has a hard time to understand love
🎄 12th & 6th house placements can put so much pressure on your mental health, especially if Pluto/Neptune or Saturn are involved
🎄People who have stellium in the 8th house often experience deja-vu moments, can also be triggers from the past or from bad people
🎄 If you have a high aspected Neptune in your chart, people can suck the energy out of you. People can feed with your energy, and you can become drained
🎄 9th house placements are very wise when considering decisions in their life. They will think 100% with their brain instead of heart. They can also be guided by older people
🎄 Capricorn Placements Sun/Moon/Rising like to be independent from a young age. They don't really like to rely on others and prefer to do it themselves alone.
🎄2nd house Venus can do well financially. They can be blessed with both beauty and money, but also beauty in their words/inside and out
🎄 Aquarius in your 7th house can indicate getting with a partner who is highly independent and friendly. You can have many things in common yet be so different
🎄 Moon x Moon synastry is not for the weak!! ESPECIALLY IF IS IN HARSH ASPECTS!! You won't do well in understanding each other fulfilments in a relationship
🎄 If your moon makes an opposite aspect with another moon (ex cancer x capricorn moon), you can expect a lot from the other person to not understand your emotions/how you feel
🎄 If you have high Saturn aspects in your chart, life gets better once you get older. You can feel like living in hell while you're younger, but it gets better with the years
Tumblr media
🎄 You can indimidate others once your Lilith makes an aspect with their sun or rising. They will feel also more curious about you
🎄 Venus in Fire signs can get more into situationships than real relationships, is ride or die with them. And they need 100000 years to think if they want a relationship or not. Once you're in a relationship with a fire Venus, they will change their energy in a more passionate/romantic one
🎄 Pisces/Neptune in your 7th house, what I love about these placements is that they create such strong bonds with their partners. Something that can last a lifetime
🎄 Mercury x Pluto aspects natives are good liars, they have a very mischievous energy surrounding them. Like a fox, which is very a unpredictable animal
🎄 Neptune x Mars natives can often have fights with their inner demons. Wanting to live in your own reality but being forced to live on earth
🎄Mercury ruled moon (Gemini, Virgo) can become quite anxious when they don't have a 2nd plan for a situation. Everything needs to be planned and calculated before
🎄 Aries/Mars in your 7th house can be an indicator for wanting to have a passionate & succeeding partner. Like you want someone who will never leave your side
🎄 Your moon sign can also tell you lots of things about how your mother felt when she was pregnant/before the time you were born, if she was anxious/scared, excited, and so on

PLEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSSEEEEEE Look, I am a trans woman. I know for a fact I am a woman. But if I were anything else, it would be within the context of a community/society that doesn't observe official genders, but rather femininity, masculinity, and androgyny. I want to be able to frolic and make merry with all of my friends and engage with debauchery, love making, dancing, singing, eating, bathing in a stream, and helping nature flourish by creating food forests able to feed whole communities, and finish the day by doing all of the above again. I am completely serious too. This would be ideal society.
Satyrcore concept-
while I do not wish to overwhelm fantasy core movements, I am a huge fan of them and their aesthetics, and would like to offer forward another concept.
while aesthetically similar to most fantasy core, I imagine it would be the closest thematically to hobbitcore, goblincore, and perhaps even gnomecore. a little hob podge, a little rough around the edges, but in the most jovial way.
id imagine key features would include a love for music and dancing, a love for celebration, a love for nature, and some love for trickery or mischief. most satyr and faun myths involve hedonism, a dislike of standard society, and a distaste for violence.
id also imagine that in a modern day subculture, this could present similarly to goblincore, in the sense of rejecting societal notions, and championing a close relationship with nature. id say they branch apart though when it comes to level of focus on standard schools of art (as satyrs are heavily associated with music), and general aesthetic differences (in which satyrs seem to find their niche similar to what one would imagine a highly chaotic hobbit to be).
anyways, i hope this makes sense, and that interested parties join in. the more the merrier!! :)

Inuit communities used song duels to resolve disputes. Disputing individuals composed satirical songs, performed before the entire camp in large igloos. The audience's reaction decided the winner, helping restore harmony.

I would like to put forward the idea of using dead malls as a third space. They used to act in a similar fashion but there was an expectation that you might buy something whether it be in the food court or the in one of the stores. Malls could be re-made into community spaces with places to sit down and talk, eat, read, dance, work out, and other things as well.
Idk if anyone remembers the St. Louis Mills (Outlet Mall) but it was, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful, fun, and unique malls I've ever been to.
Tumblr media
It's architecture was so inviting and filled with childlike wonder that it drew in the entire generation of children that lived in the area. It had so much potential for being a third space capable of providing fun and relaxation for communities.
Tumblr media
This food court is one that will always stay with me because as a kid I wanted to be here for hours just hanging out. I can imagine a bunch of different sections for different foods that you get for free, with an area in the middle for children to play or dance. The old store fronts can be repurposed into book/item libraries, indoor gardens, gymnasiums, or otherwise areas for people to just relax or hangout together. Not just third places, malls can even be repurposed into schools, living quarters, or combinations of all three. Entire communities could be fostered here and taken care of within one complex. Honestly I could make an entire love letter just about the St. Louis Mills Mall because it is what all malls should learn from.
The importance of creating third places for sustainable transformations
Third places are those venues where we spend time between home (the ‘first’ place) and work (the ‘second’ place), where people from diverse communities interact and connect with others or with the place itself, where we exchange experiences, build relationships, collaborate or simply find the comfort and support we need ‒ as Oldenburg himself observed after converting his two-car garage into a bar open to everyone.
Such places are important as they can spark community involvement and collaborative efforts
Examples of third places include cafes, parks, churches, maker spaces, public libraries, galleries, theatres and museums, but also “virtual spaces” that offer accessible opportunities on a “neutral ground”.
Such places are important as they can spark community involvement and collaborative efforts, offering a venue for people with different backgrounds to meet and design innovative solutions to the complex challenges of our times: climate change, social inclusion, effective education and urban development to name a few.
//Ed's Note: Are we creating third places in our communities for solarpunk?
