Virtue Love in the Christian
Virtue love and personal love are distinct. Personal love is based on an individual’s particular likes and affections, which fluctuate and change. Personal love is no greater than the person whose desires and feelings vacillate. Virtue love is greater, be
As Christians, our love for one another should be obvious to others. On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus told His disciples, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35). Other passages inform us, “you yourselves…

Quinta Columna Calvinista #2: "I Saw Satan Laughing With Delight"
I consider some ideas of technological advancement from a religious perspective.
I woke up early the other morning as my son woke me and told me that he threw up. After doing the dad things, I found myself wide awake at 4:30am and started mindlessly cruising the reels on different social media platforms. One thing I noticed was such an overwhelming level of information—much of it conflicting. I wondered then, how in such a sea of information could one in search of truth in…

It shocks me that the Hatchetfield fandom doesn’t embrace the fact so many of the characters are garbage people. Max Jagerman? Horrible person, a bully and sexual harasser. So damn fun to watch. Linda Monroe? Annoying Karen mother who’s entitled and selfish. Amazing character, give us more of her being just the worst.
With a series full of characters who span from being assholes to down right evil people, it’s shocking that there’s so much hate towards people who like these characters. Let people like morally bad characters, it’s fun! Hell, make them likable if that’s what’ll make you happy. If you don’t like how someone else sees a character, maybe you’re the problem
Maybe I’m missing the point, I dunno. I love antagonists in any media really, Hatchetfield especially. Let people like the characters they like, hell let them redeem the ones that may be considered redeemable. If you don’t think they’re redeemable, cool. Move on with your life :)

anyone else ever think about the fact that grace straight up says "imagine you're a good christian. sometimes you have to listen to people and believe what they say even if it sounds crazy, against everything you know, in spite of all common sense"
like. the implications. the implications.
directly implying that she herself listens to other christians and believes what they say even though to her it sounds crazy, against everything she knows, and against all common sense. that's not a "my faith has been tested these past few weeks because of The Horrors" statement, that's a "my faith has been tested all my life but i keep listening and believing because that's what i have to do to be good" statement.
grace lies to herself. grace believes what she has to believe. we see that in the musical itself, especially with her initially considering max's death to be an act of god because the alternative is that it was her fault and she Cannot Handle That. she blames anything and everything, anyone and everyone, EXCEPT for herself for the things that go wrong, except for in the single scene where she admits that she knows it's her fault. she DOES blame herself, underneath it all. she genuinely believes that she's the one who ruined their lives and who made this whole mess. not an accident, not an act of god- it's her fault, directly.
i don't think it's a stretch to believe that grace has BEEN lying to herself about her own beliefs and faith, to the point of forcing herself to believe in god and to be a "good christian" because its whats expected of her and arguably quite possibly the only thing she's allowed to be due to the seemingly unwavering faith of her parents.
its just so unreal to me that one sentence so casually and so easily implies that grace is nowhere NEAR as devout as she pretends to be, and even more unreal what exploring that belief implies about her character throughout the rest of the musical.

Serena is the canon protagonist as explained in pokemas, the protagonist’s bedroom is on the top floor. Top floor bedrooms are often master bedrooms, which checks out her bedroom is huge
Tumblr media
Meanwhile grace’s bedroom is on the first floor across from the living room, normally a secondary bedroom position.
Tumblr media
Anyone who has ever fought over a new room in a newly moved into environment knows the general rule in your youth, the parent(s) will get the master bedroom.
So why does Grace give her daughter the master bedroom? especially if we take the difficulties in their relationships in the manga and anime as canon (which I do, if the same thing happens to two iterations of Serena odds are it’ll happen to a third iteration as well.)
So glad you didn’t ask. While rhyhorns aren’t real, we can take information from a closely linked parallel in the real world.
Horseback riding.
Horseback riding can cause knee pain, over a prolonged career in riding it can become a constant ache. Bones tend to wear and cause discomfort with age anyways. Now we don’t know grace’s age, but we know she appears rather young next to say- the veteran trainer said to be Calem’s mother by Shauna. And we know for a FACT Serena is at least 17 via her being confirmed older than Emma and more likely 18 by the societal trust given to her by characters like Sycamore Diantha and even Looker if we believe she’s also the protagonist in post game.
SO- if Grace has her daughter somewhere in her 20s at least, and Serena is 17/18 now, Grace should be in her 30s if not older. This is average for someone in a career like say, rhyhorn racing, to start having some degrading pain in their joints from extensive use and strain.
WHICH might make it harder on someone to consistently use things like STAIRS.
THEREFORE GRACE GAVE HER DAUGHTER THE MASTER BEDROOM SO SHE COULD REST HER KNEES, AND THEREFORE SERENA’S BEDROOM IS NOT AN ACT OF PROTAGONIST SYNDROME.
CASE CLOSED.

Jason should get more kudos for somehow surviving as a demigod (and a child of The Big Three) despite being half-blind for who knows how long before finally getting glasses after being diagnosed by Asclepius at basically the end of the series.
(No wonder he couldn’t dodge any bricks or anything. He couldn’t see them coming)

Dying a little bit over Pete being willing to die for Steph in both Abstinence Camp and NPMD. Granted, in Abstinence Camp it isn't super obvious that's what he's doing, but Pete had a badly injured, possibly broken, leg. He was only mobile in the first place because of Steph supporting him. And yet when Lumber Axe is going after Steph, Pete tries to intercept Lumber Axe, and when he can't due to his leg, he starts shouting and flailing and throwing stuff to divert his attention onto Pete. If this had worked the way Pete had intended (he had no idea the magazine would stop him like that), then Lumber Axe would have gone after Pete, and with his leg, he wouldn't have been able to run. He would have been sacrificing himself to give her time to run.
And of course, in NPMD, Cool As I Think I Am Reprise exists. As does the scene immediately following it where Pete tries to fight the intangible ghost jock that wants him dead to keep him away from Steph, which Max breaks his arm for.
Pete would have died in both of these situations to save Steph (probably in vain), if it weren't for wild turns of events taking place to prevent it (the porn magazine frightening Lumber Axe; Grace appearing in the nick of time to reason with him; Max pulling a Hamilton; and Grace fucking a ghost to hell)
I can't believe I'm saying this, but thank goodness for Grace Chasity's impeccable timing and her impressive prudishness for saving Pete and Steph in both stories.

Almighty and everlasting God, You are always more ready to hear than we to pray, and to give more than we either desire or deserve; pour upon us the abundance of Your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things for which we are not worthy to ask, except through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Fia is a Tarnished called to grace without having first experienced death, which may be something of a rarity. Melina tells us some of Marika's words across 2 different churches, the Third Church and the Church of Pilgrimage:
My Lord, and thy warriors. I divest each of thee of thy grace. With thine eyes dimmed, ye will be driven from the Lands Between. Ye will wage war in a land afar, where ye will live, and die.
Then, after thy death, I will give back what I once claimed. Return to the Lands Between, wage war, and brandish the Elden Ring. Grow strong in the face of death. Warriors of my lord. Lord Godfrey.
That indicates that Tarnished get their Grace back only after dying. The opening cinematic does a little to corroborate this. Hoarah Loux is impaled by arrows, the Dung Eater is being hung, and Gideon Ofnir is in his casket. Goldmask is a little more ambiguous, but given the others are dead, and the way he's sort of splayed out on the ground with his prayer book and other items in disarray around him, it seems like he could have fallen dead abruptly.
Fia is the only one that is unambiguously alive. She is sitting up, actively looking at the sight of Grace, and she tells us she was exiled from home for seeing it. So it's very interesting that she is very devoted to and at peace with death, when she may be one of the few Tarnished to never have died to begin with.

Mechi has come to the very intelligent conclusion that the best course of action he could take right now is to make the Void angrier so it sends more scary things to attack us.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), he got the plague before he could do anything stupid. Looks like he'll spend a few days curled up in bed living off coffee. Hopefully, that's the only bad thing in store for him in the near future–
