A very important Yinderpig update.

The lore as it currently stands:

Date of celebration is the evening of the winter solstice. (That's today!)

Title of holiday is Yinderblót.

The Yinderpig is mostly referred to as "she."

The Yinderpig has two forms. She begins the night as a large, aged pig with deer-like antlers that walks on two legs. By the end of the evening she transforms into an antler-less piglet who runs on four legs. Both forms have eight eyes.

Speaking of her eight eyes, be on the lookout for eight ill omens between December 1st and 21st. Each omen represents one of her eyes turning upon you. If you reach eight, it means you have drawn the malefic gaze of the Yinderpig and will need to spend the remainder of the year in thoughtful prayer to her, otherwise next year will suck.

Offerings to the Yinderpig include dried orange peels and fresh bay leaves.

If you have a hearth, hang a meat mallet over it.

The Yinderpig's natural enemy is poultry (especially turkeys). Yinderblót meals are poultry-based, bonus points for turkey bacon.

It is not appropriate to wish someone a "Merry" or "Happy" Yinderblót, the correct greeting is "Cautious Yinderblót."

Presents can be whatever, but they should include some sort of pig figure, toy or plush. (So help me I will make and share a Yinderpig crochet pattern, hopefully by next year!)
