But HERE THEY ARE the synths with triangle logos! The devious trio. It took me 4 hours trying to figure out Skynet and Colossus design yesterday...sigh. But I'm satisfied with their design!! Theyre ai, of course they need to be complex and fancy in fashion and design while wanting to dominate humankind.

Soo... a few days ago I went on a huge binge spree where I watched a buncha movies I've been meaning to watch and....I'm so happy I did!! The movies include:

- electric dreams (one of my favs on this list. Edgar is everything to me)

- 2001: a space odyssey (I haven't finished it nor read the book so don't spoil pls!!)

- demon seed.. that was certainly a strange one

- Colossus: the forbin project (another fav!! Super good :33)

- TAU (once again unfinished so no spoilers pls !!^_^)

Anddd that's all!! If anyone has any other movies like these they'd like to recommend pls lmk! I love silly sentient AI you know how it is

INTRO POST

This is an ask blog for an indulgent AU called the Nth Dimensional Interdimensional Starbucks au. Also just called the Interdimensional Starbucks au. The Interdimensional Starbucks is a sub-space created within the monolith that orbited the planets. It features David Bowman as a 24/7 Starbucks barista who doesn't get paid, and HAL 9000, the sentient coffee machine and David's companion (lover??). Everything went smoothly at first, until Frank Poole showed up. All hell broke loose as more and more AIs from different realities showed up to take a spot in the singular Starbucks. David Bowman copes (see: tries to) with the influx of ridiculous orders from ridiculous characters. Hal provides commentary of varying degrees of helpfulness. Frank's here too. Hijinks ensue. Literally every AI you can think of, and some extra people to boot. MOD INFO BELOW (pictures)

Recently finished reading the first book, so I rewatched the movie to compare the differences. My thoughts are no where near organized enough to give a full review, but overall the movie did very well, and might even be better than the book.

Anyway, while watching, I was very captivated by the pretty cameras assigned to Colossus, so I drew one! <3

The (minor) romantic subplot of Colossus: The Forbin Project would do numbers as an au on ao3. It’s literally Fake Dating except the stakes are way higher because if they fuck up an AI that is watching their every move is going to start executing people. Also four nights a week they are put in a There Was Only One Bed scenario except they also both have to be naked (or the AI is going to start executing people).

Rewatching Colossus: The Forbin Project is so fucking funny because there's Forbin talking about how magnificent this computer is and how its going to be the ultimate peacekeeper, and I'm over here like:

"Boi in about an hour that thing is going to decide when you will be allowed to fuck, and will menacingly feed you grilled cheese."
