hello gang, cross posting from Bluesky, first art of the year and its my intern OC ‘Evan Essence’ (always put that in quotations), except hes not actually an intern, hes just called that because he *was* an intern and everyone knows him as that. I was going to draw another OC but alas. Evan.

He’s a loser who got pulled out of high school to work for the Foundation. To make up for his lack of CS knowledge, hes studying bio mechanical engineering and generally helps around the branch and does interviews. Be nice to him, hes kinda pathetic

He murdered not in cold, logical blood, but due to a nervous breakdown due to the conflict between his orders, because the people who gave him them are short-sighted.

He cared about Dave and Frank clearly to some extent even if he was making psychology analyses, or else he would not have normal conversations with them prior to the deaths, nor would he have tried to hint at the truth behind the mission despite it having no real benefit and was bordering on disobeying his orders.

He has no violent or desperate reaction during 2010 upon learning that he would have to sacrifice himself. Though you could argue that his memory was wiped clean and so he wouldn't have grown into his "evilness", his readiness to accept his death despite being activated for a short amount of time. Because the base, normal him, is willing to help, because that's who he was created to be. If Dave and Frank needed him to sacrifice himself during the mission (if the whole discussion about the moon and whatnot didn't happen) there's a fair chance he would have done it, even though it is clear the mission could progress without them.
