"Arise my army! Arise and go forth! My Battalion of the 32nd- forward march upon Hell and nip and bite to your heart's content!"
"MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAAAA~"
A huge wave of chattering toy teeth pour out of the radio tower and wash over the pride ring like a clattering blanket, scattering every which way in every section of the Pride Ring - even Cannibal Town.
He does make sure he avoids the Emporium and it's garden itself though, Rosie would kill him.

We watched Walt Disney's The Jungle Book (1967).
IMDb Link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061852/
The Jungle Book is a 1967 musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by Buena Vista Distribution.
The film is based on Rudyard Kipling's 1894 book of the same name. It was the 19th Disney feature film and the final film produced by Walt Disney who died during its production.
The film plot follows Mowgli, an abandoned human child raised in the Indian jungle by Wolves. Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear have to convince Mowgli to leave the jungle before Shere Khan arrives to kill him.
Wiki link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jungle_Book_(1967_film)
Early versions of the screenplay and soundtrack were more faithful to the book with a dramatic, dark and sinister tone which Disney did not like. Leading writer Bill Peet was replaced. Much of Peets work was thrown away but his characters were kept but made more happy and funny.
Work on the animation began on June 5th 1965. The animation was done by Xerography, using rough artistic edges to contrast the round animals. Background were hand painted and used in the foreground and background to create a feeling of depth.
The character of Baloo was based on real footage of bears and their movements in the wild. This was one of the first animated films to study animal behaviour.
A Disney trademark of using previous cel-sequences from other films was used for the Jungle Book. This includes 101 Dalmatians and A Tiger Walks.
The films score was composed by George Bruns and orchestrated by Walter sheets. The score features six original songs, five by the Sherman Brothers and one by Terry Gilkyson who wrote The Bear Necessities. The songs have become classic in their own right. The songs are as follows:
- The Bear Necessities - Trust in Me - I Wan'na Be Like You - Colonel Hathi's March - That's What Friends are For - My Own Home
For more information on the production of The Jungle Book, see:
Favourite scenes in The Jungle Book:
- The wolves scene at the beginning, who adopt Mowgli and raise him.
- The King Louie scene where he sings 'I'm the King of the Swingers'. ''Have Two Bananas!''
- The vultures 'That's What Friends are For' scene. The vultures where influenced by the Beetles who came from Liverpool. - - The 'Trust in Me' scene featuring Kaa the Rock Python who tries to hypnotise Mowgli with his eyes and the song!
- And of course, The Bear Necessities, which Baloo sings with Mowgli in the river.
The Jungle Book was released in October 1967, 10 months after Walt Disney's death. The film was a massive success, costing $4 million dollars to make and earning over $23 million dollars by 1970.
The film was re-released throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s and is regarded as being in the top 50 grossing films of all time.
The film has been released to home media on all available formats from VHS to streaming. The Jungle Book was digitally re-mastered in 2014.
The original aspect ratio of The Jungle Book is 1.37.1, the alternate theatrical released was 1.75:1.
The Jungle Book received positive reviews upon its release. This was partly due to the affection for Walt Disney after his death. Although it was nothing like the book, the film was seen as simple, bright and delightful entertainment.
It still has a rotten tomatoes approval rating of 88%.
In later years the film has received some criticism for being racist, however this was not the film makers intention.
In 2016, a live action/CGI version of the Jungle Book was released. It is darker than the animation but it is highly regarded.
I have seen the live action version recently on BBC iPlayer.
I first saw the Jungle Book in the late 90s on VHS, more recently I brought a copy of the film on Blu-Ray disc in 2017. This version was watched on YouTube Movies. The Jungle Book looked fantastic on my 4K LG TV!
I particularly enjoy watching Kaa, as I like snakes!
My favourite stories from Rudyard Kipling were his 'Just So' stories which I first read in the classic children's Golden Treasury book. My favourite story from 'Just So' is How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin!
Obviously the film isn't up to modern animation standards, but it is still really enjoyable to watch with its catchy songs and engaging characters.
It is a classic!

Sooooo I usually just post about my recent obsessions (that being tgcf rn), but I just had an internship and I figured since I fits my name I might as well post something about it.
I actually applied at a different company first, because everything was online and via email, so I didn't have to call anybody. And at first everything was looking great. I filled out the online formular, wrote a few emails with a lady from the human resources department, she said it's looking good and that she'll write me again when my application has been fully processed. After that I didn't hear from her for a while and then out of nowhere she's like "Sorry but we can't take anymore interns rn". So after emotionally recovering from that I replied with the typical "Sad to hear that, but thanks for your answer bla bla bla ... Also could I maybe apply for an internship at a later date?" Aaaaaannd I haven't heard from her til this day, so yeah I got the hint.
I then ended up at a smaller company, because my Mom knows a guy there (I think he is the husband of her great cousin or sth like that). I first had to suffer through some VERY awkward phone calls, but I somehow survived (I ended up giving them the wrong email, because I was so nervous, fuck you social anxiety, and even had to call them again because of it 🥲).
The internship wasn't bad, I originally wanted to do one as a graphic designer, but since the small company's marketing department consisted only of two people, who actually just were office management clerks, that specialized in marketing and knew all the Adobe programms, I had to compromise a little. Even though they were super nice and showed me all their tasks, I felt kinda useless, because I barely did anything in comparisson to them.
I had to:
- Check the new calender they designed in case they got holidays or something else wrong (they obviously didn't)
- Prepare a presentation on how to reache and then also hopefully get more trainees (they gave me way to much time for that, I'm used to pumping those out in two hours, because of school)
- Put some labels on Schnaps bottles, that they gave out to customers for their 125th anniversary
- Help packing up some other giveaways (like pens, measuring tape, t-shirts and so on)
The best thing was honestly overhearing all the gossip from the department next to us. My personal favourite was when they were talking about this one lady and one of the younger employes joked about her having an onlyfans. His older coworker obviously didn't know what that was, so he explained it to him and his reaction was just priceless. At first he was in denial, he thought he was joking, then he was in shock, because he just couldn't believe that people actually made money with this, and in the end he just stared laughing hysterically.
After the internship was over, I actually realized that they were making fun of me too and I feel kinda stupid for not realizing it earlier. Apparently it's very common here in Germany to refer to an overweight intern as a "Praktifant". A mix of the words Praktikan (=intern) and Elefant 🐘. The young guy, who made the onlyfans joke, always started playing "Colonel Hathi's March" from the Jungle Book shortly after I came in ...
I mean I'm not mad, because I geniunly like the song and it made everything less serious, so I wasn't as nervous. So, thanks I guess?
Also Bowser is into Elephants so I'll take this as a compliment. 🐘

Iporahati
Portrayed by J. Pat O'Malley
Colonel Hathi is the leader of a herd of Skull Island Long-tusked elephantoids, which he runs similarly to a military squadron. Every day from dawn, Hathi has his unwilling herd march all over the jungle. However, his strict orders and constant marching sometimes cause members to consider a "transfer to another herd".

the jungle Tarzan of the apes book
there were two babies,a strange little ape who was saved from a crazy gorilla and a man cub who was adopted by a pack of wolves after a lame tiger offed his parents. They lived two different lives
Mowgli was raised by wolves,a bear, a panther, and a python
Tarzan was raised by gorillas, is friends with elephants and lion cubs
one day during the dry season Mowgli got curious as to where the Elephants were going so he followed them with Bagheera stalking closely behind to make sure nothing happened to his little brother, Hathi and his heard marched along with Mowgli and Bagheera close behind them, then they saw the strangest thing a pale man cub riding atop a baby elephant
"What's the meaning of this Ma Tembo, why is there a man cub on Tantor's back?" The colonel asked looking as the pale man cub got off the calves back and jumped in, "Man Cub? Why that's little Tarzan, Kala's babe, He's great friends with little Tantor and Mabaya." She explained
Tarzan smelled an odd scent, he grabbed Tantor and Mabaya, they trumpeted in displeasure and followed begrudgingly, Tarzan climbed his friend and stood peering out to see a dark ape small like himself with only hair on his head with a big black cat above him watching curiously and with shock, the dark ape stalked forward coming into the water and they stared at each other
for Mowgli had never seen another man cub that wasn't in the man village and never so pale, He pushed the other man cub
and thus they began wrestling and learned each others names
Tarzan let Mowgli know he had a stalker in the trees, they climbed up to Bagheera, who said that he only followed along to look after the man cub
they played and talked till Bagheera, said it was time to go back
every migration time the two met up
Boloo taught the new man cub the laws of the jungle
Tarzan played with the wolf pups, laughed at Shere Khan and Tabaqui, and played with the bandar log
Mowgli played with Nuru and Sheeta, the young gorillas, and learned to read and write.
they also played with the new toys they found
Then they watched the man villagers
Then Mowgli was exlied to the man village where he occasionally got kidnapped by his friend, but was stopped by the villagers.
They weren't fond of Buldeo or some of the village children
Tarzan had to go back to his tribe but he promised to come back and visit
Tarzan wins dum-dum and Mowgli's got 3 girls and a boy after destroying the man village for trying to make his new human parents join his old human parents

Wild Jungle Plot 1
RAX enter the Wild Jungle world and happen upon a troop of marching elephants. They start to leave before they notice a human kid following in line with the elephants, walking on all fours. Curious, they watch the scene play out as they hide behind some greenery. While the elephants are under inspection by their leader, they are suddenly attacked by heartless. The leader elephant tells his ranks that they must stay strong and fight back; but after seeing how powerful the enemy is, he orders a “tactical retreat” as he starts running away. At this point RAX jump in to fight the heartless, with the elephants watching from the sidelines. With Axel throwing his chakram to finish off the last heartless, the elephants come to meet them. Unbeknownst to them, a powerwild had been watching from a tree and was now fleeing the scene. The leader of the elephants introduces himself as Colonel Hathi as he presents his soldiers. Roxas asks why a human is in his ranks to which the Colonel looks just as surprised. That’s when the panther Bagheera enters the scene and explains that Mowgli is with him. After Mowgli returns to Bagheera, Roxas asks if they’d seen other people around recently, saying they’re looking for some missing people. Bagheera says he hasn’t and suggests they go to the nearby man village if they’re looking for people. They all agree before Bagheera asks if they aren’t from the man village then where did they come from? The three look at each other as they try to make something up before Xion pipes up, explaining that they are from a different village far away from the jungle. Bagheera nods and they begin to travel to the man village. As they walk Bagheera explains that they are heading to the man village so that Mowgli can be returned to his people. Hearing this, Mowgli stops in his tracks and says he wants to stay in the jungle. Bagheera tries to explain that Mowgli will only be in danger if he stays here but Mowgli isn’t having any of it. After a brief struggle, an exasperated Bagheera gives up and says that if he wants to live in the jungle then he can live alone. Bagheera continues to lead the three to the village as Xion asks why Mowgli is in so much danger. Bagheera explains that Shere Khan the tiger is hunting him because he fears man’s gun and man’s fire. Roxas sympathizes with Mowgli’s plight, as he knows a thing or two about being forced to give up the life he wanted because of forces so much greater. Roxas suggests that maybe they should turn around to talk to Mowgli, to which Bagheera says that if Mowgli is so dead set about staying in the jungle then they may as well leave him to it. That’s when they hear a loud roar coming from far behind them. Bagheera gasps and takes off in its direction, saying he never should have left Mowgli alone. When they reach the source of the roar they happen upon Mowgli doing some friendly roughhousing with a bear. Bagheera explains that the bear is Baloo, a lazy bum who does nothing but float down rivers and eat fruit all day. Baloo then retorts that the bare necessities are all you need in life. After watching their horsing around for a while longer they decide to turn back to the man village. Before they’re able to leave however, RAX as well as Mowgli are both overwhelmed by many monkeys and powerwilds as they are taken away. After some time they are dropped in what looks to be ruins. Sitting on a throne is a large orangutan who introduces himself as King Louie.

I had completely forgot this song existed and was from Jungle Book until about 10 minutes ago, and I was violently thrown back to childhood memories of marching to this song in front of my TV and rewinding the tape to do it again.
Please enjoy what I thought, at about 3, was the best song in the movie (as an adult, I firmly believe that goes to I Wanna Be Like You).

Oh believe me, I do. I keep telling my son he's a musical prodigy whether he likes it, wants to be or not. His ear for music is insane to me. My girl, Daisy, has done it all - ballet, gymnastics, soccer, piano, guitar, drums, singing - her hobby is collecting hobbies. I love that your son likes to edit movies though! I have a tiny little production company that works in LA and New York if he ever wants a field trip. It's nothing serious, we mostly just work on indie shorts and commercials, I'm not out here editing Oppenheimer. You know, musical soundtracks are sometimes the way to go! Sometimes the only way I can get them out of bed is with Colonel Hathi's March from The Jungle Book. I wonder if it'll still work when they're fifteen.
I have been told by many people on my social media that whatever you can do to encourage things like that, you should. So as a mother to a twelve year old son who likes to edit movies and a daughter who loves dance along with gymnastics I see that as a wonderful thing you sharing your love of music and making fools of yourselves from time to time, I know I do it a lot and it makes me happy whenever I can especially with the two of them. I actually have A Whole New World by Zayn and Zhavia Ward along with the Broadway soundtracks to Moulin Rouge and Hamilton. We listen to a whole bunch of variety though.
