The fight had erupted out of nowhere. One moment, your party was walking down a wooded path, the next, you were beset on all sides by a group of bandits.

When the bandits had first struck, Umemiya had unceremoniously shoved you behind a tree, with an order to stay safe and a serious look in his blue eyes before he had pulled his helmet on and charged into the fray.

Steel clashed, the ringing of swords on swords filling the once quiet clearing. You watched from your position, hidden just beyond the treeline, as your party engaged the bandits. You're outnumbered at least two to one, but your friends are holding their own; you see Sakura flying through the enemy, a whirlwind of kicks and punches. Hiragi stands tall, his shield a bulwark that the enemies break against like waves.

At the front, his armor shining silver in the light, you see Umemiya, sword held high as he rallies your party to him. You glance behind him to see a shadow lurking, knife held poised to stab into the gaps of Umemiya's armor.

You curse, leaping out of your cover with a spell sparking to life in your hand. You should have been watching his back; you know Umemiya is too trusting, he always leaves his flank open, trusting that one of his friends will cover it for him.

Most of the time, he's right, but in this circumstance the rest of your party is battling their own opponents and Umemiya is about to pay for it.

You charge out of the treeline and hurl a crackling ball of radiant flames at the assassin behind Umemiya. The spell is a bit weak and a little off target; offensive magic isn't your forte but it does its job. The assassin lets out a howl of pain and reels back, giving Umemiya time to whirl around and cut down the attacker with a flash of his sword.

Several of the bandits break off from the group and run towards you- you've made yourself a target. Bracing for the incoming attack, you go through the motions of a spell, fire flickering at your fingertips as you summon a wave of flames between you and the enemy.

One of them lashes out through the fire with his sword, the tip of it catching the sleeve of your robes and cutting into the flesh of your arm beneath. You can't hold back the yell of pain, and retaliate with another ball of radiant fire. Your attacker stumbles back, and you see Hiragi slam them to the ground with his shield.

Hiragi looks at you, his eyes following the blood dripping from your fingertips and the way your arm hangs limply at your side. You wave him off, the glow of healing magic already forming around your uninjured hand. He nods and heads back into the fray; you run your healing magic along your wound, breathing a sigh of relief as the comforting warmth knits your torn skin back together.

The fighting slowly comes to a stop, the enemy's plan thwarted when you stopped their assassination of your leader. The survivors are left kneeling on the ground, heads bowed and hands tied behind their backs while they await judgement.

You make your way to each of your party members, healing magic sparkling at your fingertips as you heal their injuries. You can't help the laugh that escapes you at the way Sakura blushes when you take his chin in your hand to heal a cut bisecting his cheek.

He swats your hands away as soon as the spell finishes, stomping over to the prisoners with a shout about figuring out why they attacked you.

You look around and notice one missing. Hiragi meets your eyes and points in the direction of the river. You thank him and stow your staff before heading towards the sound of running water.

You see Umemiya sitting on a rock, the dappled sunlight shining on his armor and his helmet resting on the forest loam at his side. He straightens up at your approach, wide blue eyes uncharacteristically serious.

"I told you to stay behind," he says, pulling you towards him with a gentle hand behind your knee.

"And I did," you retort, crossing your arms over your chest.

"You ran out from cover and got hurt in the process."

"It wasn't that bad. I healed it already." You roll up your sleeve, showing just a stripe of pink, newly healed skin across your arm.

Umemiya takes your hand and presses a kiss to the healed mark on the back of it. "Just because you can heal yourself doesn't mean you should be endangering yourself recklessly," he murmurs quietly, lips brushing against your skin.

"I'm no more reckless than the rest of you," you sniff, rolling down your sleeve. "You always tell us that you trust us to watch your back, so you can't get mad when I do what you ask me to do."

He laughs, placing your hand against the warm skin of his cheek. He nuzzles into your palm and places a kiss against your skin. "You have a point," he admits. "I'm lucky to have you watching my back, especially today."

"You are lucky to have me," you smile, cupping his face with your other hand and leaning down to kiss the furrow in his brow. He wraps his arms around the tops of your thighs and buries his face in your stomach. "You know I'd do anything for you, Hajime."

"I do, that's what worries me," he groans, voice muffled in your robes. "I don't want you to get hurt because of me."

"Well, I don't want to see you get hurt either, so you understand how I feel," you say, stroking his hair back from his brow. "But we both have jobs to do that come with a certain amount of risk. I trust that you'll protect me, and you'll have to trust that I'll look out for you. If I can keep you from getting hurt I will, but I'll also do what I can to make sure that I stay in one piece so that I can patch you up when you do get hurt."

"So wise," he laughs, pulling his face out of your robes. "I can't argue with that." He stands up, looking down at you with a fond smile. "Let's get back to camp. I'll make us a good meal, I'm sure everyone's hungry after that fight."

You stop him with a palm against his chest. He looks down at you questioningly, and you lean up to capture his lips in a kiss. He immediately pulls you close, careful not to get his gauntlets caught in your hair.

"I wanted to get at least one kiss before tonight," you say when you pull away. "I'm pretty sure Sakura would combust if he saw us do that in camp."

Notes, lines, markers, and materials under the cut~

Building out his mess of classes gave me a better idea of his characterization and aesthetics, so I wanted to update my design for him—most notable is the bladed scarf, and I put his veils into a set of four knotted ones around his waist instead of letting them hang loose, both nods to Sivanah—though I couldn’t resist giving him another set of four that flutter around him. The ring I gave him as his bonded object is sadly hidden by the bomb he’s carrying, which he’s perhaps forgotten about…

In an amusing turn of events, he turned out incredibly good at alchemy, so I’ve decided his potions miss the mark because he’s insistent upon mixing up fresh batches when needed and thus rushing his work for his customers.

The potions &c. along the side I took from Ultimate Equipment, and of course I had to include his “world-famous” tonic!

The marker layer is the first bit of coloring I do, then colored pencils for the skin and acrylic ink to touch up the markers.

Saizo was always a light sleeper. You, the princess who bore the weight of two kingdoms and a supernatural plain of existence’s futures on your shoulders, were not. 

You could sleep through just about anything. 

Except, it seemed, your sixth month of pregnancy.

“Dammit…” You sounded incredibly upset, and rather agitated when he felt the bed shift next to him. “C’mon, why are you doing this to me now? It’s not a good time for this…”

Saizo rose slowly, quietly, checking to see what was going on. You weren’t talking to anybody else in the room…that you noticed.

“Please...I just want to sleep.”

“Corrin? Who are you talking to?” He spoke quietly so as not to frighten you. He was deeply slightly concerned.

“It’s the baby.” You replied hopelessly, tilting your head to acknowledge your awake husband. “I-I’m sorry, did I accidentally wake you up with my complaining? At least one of us should get a good night’s sleep.”

“If you do not sleep, I do not, either.” He stated simply, sitting up fully. “Is there anything I can do?”

“I don’t know…I’ve never had a living creature inside of me that won’t stop moving around. Should we summon a cleric? Sakura might be more knowledgeable, but I’d hate to wake her.”

“Hmm. Let me check the medical journals before we summon anyone. It should not be so difficult to resolve…unless you are feeling pain or discomfort.”

“No, just…can’t sleep.” You sighed, flopping back into your pillow with a groan as said baby kicked again for good measure. “It’s unnerving, feeling him move about so much.”

“Saizo. Be still.” His voice was gruff, but lacked the usual bite when pointed at others. He rose from the bed and found the journals, re-settling himself at your side with the candles lit to provide some visibility.

“Let us see…the second trimester…” He thummed through it, muttering to himself as he searched voraciously for a solution to his wife’s struggle. There were few things he hated more than being incapable of helping you, after all.

You smiled softly to yourself, watching as he was all but glaring at each word on the pages, hoping the next would hold the answer he sought. 

“Here we are.” He leaned back, gently pressing his hand to your baby bump as his reading came to a pause. “It states here that, if the patient restless or is incapable of sleep due to excessive movement…they should lie on their side.”

“All right,” You agreed, carefully shifting so that you were no longer on your back. His hand lingered, as if testing for more movement.

He clicked his tongue when he received a defiant kick. You just sighed looking up at him from the pillow. “What else does it say?”

“Hmph. It’s mostly preventative behaviors you are supposed to do before sleep; lie down an hour beforehand…drink warm tea…light stretching…”

“I already do most of that. And I did before tonight, too.” You frowned. “I suppose I’m out of options.”

Saizo looked displeased; was there truly nothing else he could do? Turning the page, there only seemed to be a few other solutions. “Perhaps it is time to take up the offer from Hayato, to sew a pregnancy pillow. This says holding one of those when sleeping helps reduce movement.”

“But you’re my pregnancy pillow.” You protested. He coughed to disguise a laugh; were you always so ridiculous?

“Don’t speak nonsense. I’ll ask him about it come morning. But I suppose for now, the only other immediate option would be to talk to him. It’s not as effective, but talking to the child apparently helps in soothing them.”

“You know…that does sound plausible. He doesn’t seem to react very much while you’re talking.”

“I doubt that's the case. He still kicks when I speak." Saizo reminded you, as if you didn’t have the little one inside yourself and couldn’t feel every single move. You shook your head, patting his hand.

"But it's only after you stop talking. We ought to test this theory...could it be that he’s just lonely?” You wondered aloud, resting your hand over Saizo’s. “Is that why you’re so restless, my dear? It’s been too quiet?”

“Preposterous.” He scoffed, but fell silent all the same. You both looked at each other, waiting to see what would happen. Hardly half a second passed after he spoke, and immediately there was a kick.

“See? Keep talking!” You ushered him to continue, smiling bright. Saizo rolled his eyes, but complied all the same.

“If you’re going to keep your mother awake just because you cannot hear me speak, we will have many problems in the future, little one.” He spoke with great warning, and he paused to test the theory once more.

A few moments passed, and sure enough, another little kick.

It was getting more difficult for Saizo to mask the joy that was filling him every time the baby reacted to his voice. To think he was not even in the world yet but he knew who his parents were.

He was a miracle. A wonder.

He just…wouldn’t stop kicking his mother.

Saizo sighed when a tiny fist pushed into his fingertips. He shifted in the bed so that his head was in your lap, a delightful change for you. Instinctively your fingers ran through his hair, stroking it softly as he tended to his son.

“You are the sixth in a prestigious, honorable legacy of royal ninja. It is unbecoming behavior, treating your mother like this. A proper ninja would never be so disrespectful of her needing rest.”

You could’ve sworn you heard him stifle a chuckle when another hand bumped his cheek. His hand gently ran over your belly, attempting to soothe him once again.

“It is all right if you do not hear our voices, sometimes. Just because you cannot hear us does not mean we aren’t here. Besides, when I am away on missions, I will not be able to tell you stories. I’m afraid you’ll have to be able to live without me every now and then.”

“But it’s never forever.” You quickly added, always nervous when he spoke in such a way. Even saying something like “living without him” in the context of a few weeks…it did bother you terribly.

Saizo glanced up at you, taking your hand in his with a soft squeeze.

“Right. I would be a fool to abandon either of you. I have no plans of leaving you behind. I promise.” He murmured, pressing a kiss to your fingertips. 

As if you weren’t already deeply in love.

“So rest, dear one. It is long past time for all of us to be asleep. But we will talk again come morning.” His promise led to one last pause, waiting to see if he would continue his protest.

You waited…and waited…and then…

“He’s asleep.” You breathed a sigh of relief, both of you relaxing. At last, you were rewarded with a restful sleep.

He ran his hand across your baby bump one last time, before carefully slipping away and coming back up to his side of the bed. You leaned into him, welcoming his arm coming around your shoulder and gently taking you into his side.

“At last.”

“Thank you, Saizo...you're a miracle worker.”

“Do not thank me for doing my duty as your husband, and as his father. I will always be glad to ease your burdens.”

“That is why I’m grateful.” Your hand settled on his chest, feeling the steady thrum of his heart. “And it is also why I love you.”

“I love you, too. Now hush. We may rouse him again if he hears we are still talking.” He kissed your forehead quickly, and you could feel the heat of his face against your skin. He was such fun to tease.

You were blessed with the next few nights of peace and quiet. Especially now that you had a secret weapon.

Saizo made sure to be with you come bedtime, so that he might tell the baby about his day and soothe him with his voice. 

You knew your husband took great pride and joy in the fact that he could do this for you, and that his son loved the sound of his voice.

So even on nights where he had to assist Ryoma with something late into the night, or had missions that would take him away, he made certain that he was there to help you both get a good night’s sleep.

The only thing that could have possibly made it sweeter, was when the little Saizo was born. He recognized his father’s voice and calmed without hesitation. 

Your husband already adored his newborn son…but you were certain they’d be inseparable, bonded by the love of father and son (and said father’s delightful voice).

Though to be fair, you weren’t counting on Saizo the Sixth to have an “Asugi the Rebellious Teen Ninja” phase.

Owlcatober Day 5: Forgiveness

Finally some Sakura stuff! I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out, but I have a schedule.

Get it together, Sakura. It’s nothing. Just baring your truest self and revealing your most carefully-hidden secret to a man with no filter and very judgmental views on the fey. Nothing at all! The kitsune sighed and steeled herself. Camellia had figured it out, she had to tell Ulbrig. Juggling two relationships at once, even if both were purely sexual, required some finesse and balance, and part of that was making sure the two were on equal footing with regards to her. What she told one, she told the other, and what she did for one she did for the other. At least, in theory. If Ulbrig ever started committing unjustified murders, she’d cover for him!

Outwardly, Sakura was a devout, if unusual, cleric of Arshea, one of the empyreal lords and a goddess of sex, beauty, and freedom. In reality, she served the Green Mother, the fey goddess of lust, intrigue, and carnivorous plants. It was a helpful cover, allowing her to pass as someone devoted to good gods without forcing her to change her behavior much. She was almost certain Anevia had figured out the truth (she would need to have a talk with her about that), and Camellia had also managed to piece it together. It was time Ulbrig knew as well. Backwards as he often was, she was fond of the barbarian. Hopefully, this wouldn’t chase him off.

Sakura made her way to her garden in the middle of Drezen. She lamented that she couldn’t keep the massive carnivorous plants she loved, but that would be too obvious. Ulbrig spent most of his time here, it was one of the few places he could still see the kinds of plants that used to cover Sarkoris. She approached from behind, swallowing and steeling her resolve before she spoke up. “Ulbrig. Can we talk?” Honestly was… Unusual, for Sakura. It was almost heresy, but for once she thought it was necessary.

He was squatting before a pot, carefully tending the plant within. He turned towards Sakura with a slight smile. “Evenin’. Of course we can talk.” He turned around at sat down, looking at her expectantly.

Sakura flinched and waved back and forth on her feet. This was already harder than she thought. “Ah, yes. Well… You know that I’m a priestess of Arshea…” He nodded, staring at her with those big, dumb brown eyes. “Ah, except, I’m… Not.”

“Eh? Oh, sorry. I get all these southern and eastern gods turned up around, can never remember which is which.”

“W-what? No, I mean, I lie about being one of Arshea’s faithful.” She had to make sure to keep her voice low and kept glancing around in case someone was watching. Her claws sunk into the unholy symbol around her neck, disguised to resemble Arshea’s. 

At least that part of the revelation didn’t seem to bother him much as he continued to question her, “Uh, huh. Um, why?”

“Well, ah…” Sakura mentally reprimanded herself for being so flustered about this. “It’s… Convenient. Most people know Arshea is good, but don’t know that much about her. And I do agree with most of her edicts!”

Ulbrig’s eyes narrowed slightly. “What, you one of those sorcerers that pretends to be holy? Lies and says her power’s from the spirits when it’s actually just foul arcane?”

That genuinely caught Sakura off-guard. Did people do that? Perhaps she could have been doing the reverse, claiming her powers were arcane rather than divine… No, thoughts for another time. “No, not at all! They are divine, just… Most people don’t approve of the actual source…” She was ever so thankful that Ulbrig trusted her, else that would have derailed the whole conversation.

“Oh.” That seemed to relax him. “Hmph, well, who cares who it’s from. Long as it’s not one of them oglins. It’s… Not from oglins, is it?” 

Sakura withered, uncharacteristically embarrassed at his piercing gaze. Perhaps she should just strip and offer her body, move past this and keep up the lie… No. No! She was going to do the right thing for once in her life. “Well, it’s… Not from demons, that much is true.” He seemed to relax. “B-because it’s from the fey. My true goddess is the Green Mother.” She decided to omit the Green Mother’s portfolio in case that made it worse.

“So it is from oglins.” She winced as she could see the rage in his eyes. He was trying his hardest to hold it back. She had lied to him. This whole time, the woman he had been sleeping with, the woman he loved, was working for the same monsters that tore apart his home! But, some reason cut through the cloud of fury upon his mind. Ulbrig didn’t care much about the difference between demons and fey, they were all the same to him, but… Sakura would always get defensive when he indicated he thought as much. She hated the demons, as much as he did. Ulbrig never cared about the difference between different types of oglins, but maybe he should. If this fey goddess opposed the demons, maybe… Perhaps he could tolerate it. At least for now. He sat there in thought for minutes, Sakura dreading the moment when he opened his mouth again. At last, he spoke up. “Sakura. Need you to answer something honestly.”

“Y-yes?”

“Y’said a while ago that you wanted to restore Sarkoris. See it green again. Was that also a lie?” There was a frightening calm in his voice.

Sakura answered plainly and honestly. “It wasn’t a lie. I want this place to bloom again. All the life that was stolen from Sarkoris… I think the Green Mother guided me here to restore the land.”

Ulbrig nodded and took a few deep breaths to calm herself. “Alright. Then… I’m still sort of mad. Mostly about you lying, but… I guess you lie about it to everyone, so it’s not as bad. I don’t… I don’t get it? This whole oglin… Guess I should say fey. This whole fey worshippin’ thing. But… I forgive you for it.”

Sakura tilted her head. That sparked rage in her, she didn’t even quite know why. “You… W-what do you mean you ‘forgive’ me?”

He shrugged. “I forgive you for following an oglin. Fey. Sorry.”

“I don’t need forgiveness! I’ve done nothing wrong! I’m just… I’m trying to be honest. This is who I am. I worship the Green Mother. She’s given me life, and purpose. I just… You deserve to see behind the mask.” She winced and took a step back. That was always what it was about. The curse of the kitsune, to forever wear a mask. Even when they tried to be honest, they could only ever show half of themselves. And because of that, Sakura had been cast out, taken in by outcasts, and forced to wear yet another mask because of it. She needed no forgiveness. If anything, the world should be asking for her forgiveness.

Ulbrig didn’t understand. He was just like the so-called civilized, fearing the truth of the wilds and seeing deceit in the mask forced upon Sakura. “I understand, Sakura. You were bewitched by them. Lured in by those puck’s false promises and whatnot. But it’s alright. You’re not with the oglins that destroyed Sarkoris.”

Sakura’s fists clenched and she let out a mocking laugh. “You don’t get it. Of course you don’t, no one ever does… I choose to be like this! I wasn’t tricked, I wasn’t bewitched, I was thrown out for being a shapeshifter and taken in! You don’t get to ‘forgive’ me! I don’t need forgiveness!” She was shouting now, though she hadn’t realized it.

Ulbrig pushed down his anger, trying his hardest to be understanding and compassionate. “Sakura, listen.”

“No. I’m done listening to you. I… I thought you were different… You’re just like everyone else that cast me out and spit on me because they think I choose to wear my masks.” She had had enough of close-minded fools. She stood up and walked away with a hiss.

The enemy team activates a Wind Gate, enabling their Assassin to leap between lanes and ambush Nikkia.

Bebe counteracts by using her Fire Wave Ultimate, dealing massive damage and forcing a retreat.

Some more Rin, and I'll introduce my OC. Still working on their color palette, but working idea so far is their name, Tori Izumo and them being elder sibling to Tenma Izumo (Itachi's teammate + Obito killed him)

Rin and Tori are friends/rivals much like Sakura and Ino. While Rin specialized in Medical Ninjutsu, Tori focused on the Transformation technique for utility and combat. (Think like a D&D druid if Rin was a cleric)

I've thought a bit about the crushes, because Obito having a crush on Rin was a pretty big plot point, and then Rin's crush on Kakashi. I don't know if for Tori they should also have a crush on Kakashi, like parallel to Sakura/Ino, or if Tori has a crush on Obito and that is why they compete with Rin so much.

Another idea, because I want to make a parallel scene where Sakura asked Ino if she had a crush on Sasuke, Rin asks Tori what they think of Kakashi. I was thinking of making Tori's dad the teammate that Sakumo saved and the friend who turned on him. Specifically, Tori will remember seeing Kakashi at his father's funeral and listening to things people were saying, and Tori's father being the one who said, "It's like I killed you, ain't it? I never asked you to, y'know. So not only do you up and quit the mission, you kill yourself? What a sorry excuse of a man." (from the novel) And Tori feeling the guilt if growing up with a father responsible for ending Kakashi's dad's life. So, Tori's feelings towards Kakashi is both seeing how lonely he is and wanting to be a friend to him, but also feeling the guilt from their father's actions.

Leading into this, Tori watching Obito approach Kakashi and be there for him is how they developed feelings.

If you had to pick a second trio of awakening kids to put in fates (on Hishido's side) who would you send, why, and where would put them (ie who's retainers would they be and who would they replace or where would they be serving in Hoshido if not retainers).

SORRY THIS TOOK ME LIKE FIVE YEARS TO GET TO, STEDY… i saw it and i was like “ooh i gotta think about this i’ll come back” and then. and then i forgor… BUT ANYWAYSSS

so, to hoshido????? well… i think realistically theyd go down the popularity poll. they seem to want to avoid lucina (lord) and morgan (two of them, picking one means making one and also one robin canon) so next on the list iirc is noire, brady, and gerome. and i think that could work pretty okay, but i think they just kind of all have one fatal flaw here: none of them would be down to go.

the awakening trio works because yeah!! yeah i absolutely buy all three of them being game to go fuck off to a new world because some pathetic man begged them to help save lives. gerome though?? no!! gerome hardly wanted to go back in time to save HIS OWN WORLD!! brady cant fight CANONICALLY, and i highly doubt he’d want to step foot on another battlefield. and noire… i think someone could make a case for noire being willing to come. but i think she’d prefer staying with tharja and protecting the baby version of herself more. and without proper encouragement which would mostly likely come from severa who is. not here. i dont think she’d be too willing. AND I KNOW THAT MEANS IM MISSING OUT ON NOIRE!RHAJAT BUT… come on. you think im gonna give noire to hayato anyways?? no.

so!! a more interesting alternative? kjelle, cynthia, and laurent. i think kjelle and cynthia would be so down if they thought they were gonna be protecting innocents. kjelle wants to fight, grow stronger, and protect, and her natural element is the battlefield. cynthia wants to be a hero and fight for justice, and what better than a country protecting its homeland? as for laurent, i think he’d also like to save people, but i just think this guy would also like traveling around for education purposes. a new land means more insight to gain, and more things to share with his mother when he comes back. so. yeah. perhaps not the tightest reasoning, but i think its much more realistic than like. gerome. sooo

cynthia would most likely stay a pegasus knight? i dont see a reason to change her class. but armor knight is nohrian while sage doesnt exist in fates (technically. im aware onmyoji is the equivalent) sooo they’d have to change. i think theres a few things you could do with kjelle? spear fighter is probably the obvious choice, but i think kinda similar to owain, she’d like a chance to try out other weapons, probably to demonstrate her strength. and for this im strongly leaning master of arms prepromote. yes she’d still have spear access, but having mastered katanas and clubs during her time in hoshido could be really fun i think. as for laurent… lol. apothecary. hes not really here to fight but like. he can. promote him to merchant and he’ll start throwing the army’s treasury at you. dont fuck with him! but obviously kjelle would have armor knight access via heart seal and i think i’d give laurent troubador over dark mage just to reference miriel having that class in awakening but it could go either way. cynthia would probably have… uh. ummmm… fuck. wait. i dont know. sumia gets armor knight and cleric. can we j be funny and give her merc so she has hero access :/// ok thanks

im completely willing to change on this honestly. i thought long and hard about it and then i went “hm. no.” and ended up here. my logic is that of the awakening trio, laslow definitely seems to be the strongest and is nohr’s crown prince’s retainer, and of these three, kjelle is probably the strongest, so same treatment. i also considered the dynamic between saizo and kagero and i just think she’d work the best with them. no bullshit, just work. plus, in a samurai class (moa promotes from samurai) she’d fit in better with ninja than a flier and a uh. a guy.

i put laurent with hinoka and i almost didnt because i think he could have an interesting dynamic with the other royals too. but then i was like “okay. of the three: who would fit into hinokas retainer dynamic that just seems to be ‘giving hinoka a hard time’” and well!!! i think!!! i think its laurent!!! i think laurent would just be engrossed in his studies and the difference in technological progress compared to ylisse (no fireworks but they have giant puppets??? the dolls with the saws??? TANKS????) and hinokas like “uh. hey. did you eat any of ur last three meals?” and he goes “no but i DID make a gun” and azama and setsuna are just like “woahhh thats fucking awesome dude” and i just think if i gave hinoka kjelle or cynthia it wouldnt be as funny. i do things for the bit. always.

and that leaves cynthia for the other two and… i dont actually think she’d go to takumi. i think sakura and her retainers is a much more realistic possibility because takumis trio is just. so. fucking look at them… itd be odd to shove a fourth person in there. it COULD work, but also i kinda just like the idea of cynthia pledging herself to sakura. she’d be all hyped about it too like “the brave warrior defending her princess?!! yessss!!” and sakura would be like. so down for cynthias flower throwing entrance or whatever (with… sakura petals?? yes????) and idk i just think they would be neat. and she could be a nice mediator between subaki and hana who just like. wont shut the fuck up. she’ll either make it better by being a nice middle man or make it worse by also not shutting up except its about something completely different and no progress gets made. both fine outcomes, i think.

and then they fight nohr and go to war with their besties forevs!!!!!!! wooooo!!!! im not writing that out. you decide how that goes. though i think a cynthia vs selena encounter would be insaane… ooh or like an cynthia vs odin justice cabal thing? oouhhvghh… but this post is long enough anyways hi stedy 👋
