GOP Rep Claudia Tenney says Trump should avoid appearing in court, and the criminal case will "blow over" Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) revealed a foolproof legal strategy for her favorite cult leader, Donald Trump. When Trump is called into court, she advises him to stay home, eat McDonald's, and watch his legal troubles evaporate into thin air. Tenney shared her brilliant gambit with a dubious NewsMax host. â Read the rest https://boingboing.net/2023/03/20/gop-rep-claudia-tenney-says-trump-should-avoid-appearing-in-court-and-the-criminal-case-will-blow-over.html

Mira Lazine at LGBTQ Nation:
On Thursday, the United States House of Representatives passed a bill that would give authority to the Treasury Department to revoke a 501c non-profitâs tax-exempt status if theyâre believed to support terrorism.
House Resolution 9495, also known as the âStop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act,â was sponsored by Rep. Tenney Claudia (R-NY) and passed through the house in a 219â184 vote. It has gone through multiple different forms since it was initially introduced in response to pro-Palestine organizers in the wake of the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel. According to anthropologist and legal scholar Darryl Li, who spoke to Democracy Now, this bill exists exclusively as a means for the right-wing to crush their political opponents, especially those who advocate for the rights of Palestinians, who were recently found by the International Criminal Court to be victims of war crimes enacted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. âThis bill is essentially a civil rights disaster, that ⊠would allow the government to shut down nonprofits on the smear of being terrorist-supporting organizationsâŠ. This law requires an accusation with no evidence, but a tie-in. Itâs an accusation that nonprofits are supporting a group on one of the existing international terrorism lists⊠The bill is essentially discriminatory by design,â he said. âInitially, it did have significant bipartisan support, because, of course, anti-Palestinian racism is one of the great bipartisan unifiers in Congress.â
Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) justified the bill as a plain way to defund terrorism. âWe, as members of Congress, have the duty to make sure that taxpayers are not subsidizing terrorism. Itâs very, very simple,â he said on the House floor. Smith didnât provide evidence that any major U.S. non-profit group has ever supported terrorism. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), the only Palestinian-American in Congress, said of the bill, âI donât care who the president of the United States is. This is a dangerous and unconstitutional bill that would allow unchecked power to target nonprofit organizations as political enemies and shut them down without due process.â The bill doesnât just pose a danger to advocates for war refugees trapped in Gaza, but also possibly to LGBTQ+ nonprofits as well. As the Trump-Vance campaign spent record numbers on anti-trans ad spending, it is increasingly likely that they could use this bill as a pretense to attack the many nonprofits that advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals. Li details that this could be the case for just about anyone who is a political opponent of the ruling administration.
[...] âRight-wingers and white supremacists in Congress can support this bill, with the assurance that their allies, right-wing extremist groups, are highly, highly unlikely to ever be targeted by this bill, because there isnât going to â itâs much less likely that they will be smeared with an accusation of being tied to an international terrorist organization thatâs already on one of the government lists,â Li said. Groups that could be on the chopping block with this bill include the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood, the Human Rights Campaign, as well as nonprofit news outlets like Mother Jones or ProPublica.
HR9495 is an attack on nonprofit organizations, and Donald Trump and his allies can twist the definition of âsupporting terrorismâ to not only include pro-Palestinian groups, but also pro-abortion access and pro-LGBTQ+ groups (or any group that opposes the MAGA movement).
Itâs time to kill this immoral bill in the Senate.

US lawmakers block funding for Gaza reconstruction
The US House of Representatives on 12 June approved an amendment to the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act that prevents the Pentagon from allocating any of its ballooning budget for reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
âNone of the funds authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available to the Secretary of Defense for fiscal year 2025 may be made available to build in or rebuild the Gaza Strip on or after the date of the enactment of this Act,â the amendment reads.
The provision was introduced by Republican lawmakers Brian Mast, Claudia Tenney, and Eli Crane. Although House Democrats opposed the amendment, they did not request a recorded vote and allowed it to pass by a simple voice vote.
â[The Palestinians] are absolutely at war with one of our major and best allies anywhere across the globe,â Mast said during Wednesdayâs session, adding that it is ânonsensicalâ to suggest the US should spend a fraction of its nearly $1 trillion defense budget on rebuilding a place that has been razed to the ground by US-made weapons and with direct support from the Pentagon.
âThe House advancing anti-Palestinian amendments into legislation at this stage reaffirms that many in Congress do not value the lives of their Palestinian constituents,â Mohammed Khader, a policy manager at US Campaign for Palestinian Rights Action, told reporters.
âBlocking funds to rebuild Gaza while actively providing taxpayer dollars, weapons, and intelligence to destroy Gaza and Palestinian society reaffirms that lawmakers intend for the US to be an active participant in Israelâs atrocities,â he added.
Since the start of Israelâs genocidal war in Gaza, the US has delivered hundreds of arms shipments to the country and has provided persistent political cover for Israeli authorities.
US lawmakers have gone as far as to threaten sanctioning officials from the International Criminal Court (ICC) and cutting funding for UN agencies due to their support for an end to the genocide of Palestinians.Â

Twelve Republican US senators have introduced the Countering Hate Against Israel by Federal Contractors (Chai) Act, which would prohibit federal contracts with entities that boycott Israel. The lead sponsor, Senator Jim Risch of Idaho, said in a press release that âbusinesses who boycott Israel only seek to normalise antisemitismâ. His move follows the same billâs introduction in the House of Representatives in July of last year, sponsored by Republican Representative Claudia Tenney. The Chai bill remains in the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, pending a vote.

On Tuesday, Rep. Claudia Tenney announced that she had nominated Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize, citing his "groundbreaking efforts to foster peace and cooperation between Israel, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates" via the highly praised Abraham Accords. Tenney compared the former president's work to that of the 1978 peace agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia and the 1994 Oslo Accords, both of which were recognized and rewarded by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee.
"Donald Trump was instrumental in facilitating the first new peace agreements in the Middle East in almost 30 years," Tenney wrote in a statement. "For decades, bureaucrats, foreign policy 'professionals,' and international organizations insisted that additional Middle East peace agreements were impossible without a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. President Trump proved that to be false." "The valiant efforts by President Trump in creating the Abraham Accords were unprecedented and continue to go unrecognized by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, underscoring the need for his nomination today," she continued. "Now more than ever, when Joe Biden's weak leadership on the international stage is threatening our country's safety and security, we must recognize Trump for his strong leadership and his efforts to achieve world peace. I am honored to nominate former President Donald Trump today and am eager for him to receive the recognition he deserves." This is not the first time Trump has been nominated for the prestigious award as the result of his Middle East policy. As the CBC reports, the former president received a slew of nominations from all over the world for the 2021 prize. Among those who put his name forward citing the Abraham Accords were a quartet of Australian law professors and conservative members of the Swedish and Norwegian parliament. The latter, Christian Tybring-Gjedde, had previously nominated Trump for the prize following his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. [source]
----------------------------
The difference between the numerous global wars taking place under the Democrats and the unusually peaceful Trump years is striking and undeniable: No new wars were started under Trump's presidency, and he made great strides in de-escalating conflict everywhere.
Whereas, six months into taking office, Biden started bombing Syria, and during his term we have seen the U.S. send tens of billions of dollars worth of killing machines to Ukraine to run a proxy war against Russia, bringing the entire world closer to nuclear war than it has been in 40 years. and now it's Gaza. All this has happened in only 4 years, but the corporate media has pushed an entirely opposite narrative to the facts the whole time.
Trump is unique in that he is not owned or funded by the military-industrial complex, the biggest business in the world, that owns all the other little businesses, the news sites and TV stations. He disrupts the status quo, and that is why they are so scared of him, and have been doing everything they can to destroy him the past 5 years.

U.S. users email your representatives this, and make sure to include your zip code:
I am your constituent. I am strongly in favor of defunding Israel. I want my opinion logged on every single one of these pieces of legislation. It is an atrocity that the USA is sending our taxpayer dollars, weaponry, and other support to Israel in order to aid in the genocide of the Palestinian people. It does not reflect the will of your constituents, and I demand that you correct this by voting for/against the following bills, resolutions, and legislation.
To be frank, I will be basing my vote for you in upcoming elections on this issue. I will be watching closely to see how you vote on issues regarding funding to Israel. I will not vote for you in the next election if you vote to send any money, support, or weaponry to Israel. I will be voting for you if you vote to block money, support, and weaponry to Israel.
This is the current legislation I am for, and the current legislation I am against. I would like your office to record my opinion for each bill, and I would like you to take this into consideration when you vote.
I am FOR the following, and expect you to vote for this and co-sponsor, either now or when matching legislation reaches your office.
H.Res. 786: by Rep. Cori Bush
H.Res. 388 by Rep. Rashida Tlaib
H.R. 3103 by Rep. Betty McCollum
I am against Joe Bidenâs proposal to spend billions of dollars on Israel via a package for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, and the US border. Biden is asking for $100 BILLION for this package and it is only 1 YEAR'S worth of funding. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable, and I am against you voting for ANY bill that spends even $1 on Israel. I do not care what else is in the bill. If it gives money to Israel, I am against it.
I am AGAINST the following, and expect you to vote against this and not co-sponsor, either now or when matching legislation reaches your office.

I am against any legislation that allows troops to deploy to the Middle East in support roles for Israel, as proposed by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
I am against Netanyahuâs ground invasion of Gaza, which will inevitably lead to mass killings of Palestinian civilians and escalate violence. If there are any future bills supporting this, you need to vote against them and not co-sponsor.
The U.S. Constitution and the War Powers Act stipulate that only Congress can authorize the president to use military force in a foreign war, except in cases of self-defense. Previous administrations from both parties have ignored this, with unauthorized strikes in places like Syria and Libya. I want you to stand against ANY use of military force that supports Israel or hurts Palestine.
And of course, I am against the usual funding of $3.8 billion PER YEAR to Israel. This 10-year agreement began in 2016. I do not want a renewal in 2026, and in the next election, I will vote for representatives who WILL NOT VOTE TO FUND ISRAEL. I will be keeping track of how you vote now, and I will not vote for you if you decide to fund Israel in any way.
I am a single-issue voter for this. I want you to defund Israel. I do not want a single dollar spent on supporting Israel. I will be paying attention to how you vote in the upcoming weeks and months, and if you vote to fund or provide weapons, troops, or intelligence to Israel, I will NOT vote for you in the next election.
We are paying attention to the budget. We know when you're giving aid to a country committing genocide instead of helping your constituents in the USA. Both myself and tens of thousands of other constituents have spent years saying that we donât want our hard-earned taxpayer dollars going to Israel. The lack of willingness to fund anything for American citizens, but the quickness with which you take action for Israel is telling. It is unacceptable.
As an elected official, you have the opportunity to listen to the public and stand against genocide. Israel is currently committing war crimes against Palestine. You can stop this by defunding Israel. THOUSANDS of Palestinian people have been killed, 1/3 of them children, in just a couple of days. One child every 15 minutes is being killed. YOU can prevent this by refusing to send additional weapons and funding to Israel.
We are currently spending BILLIONS of dollars EVERY YEAR on Israel. I do not want my money going towards the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians. Not a dollar more.

FIRST ON FOX â Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., is demanding answers from New York Gov. Kathy Hochul regarding former senior aide Linda Sun, who was recently indicted for allegedly being an agent for the Chinese Communist Party.Â
Tenney penned a letter to the Democratic governor this week, and inquiring about how Sun had influenced the state's government and economy, as well as possible links to reported secret Chinese police stations operating in the Big Apple.
"These allegations are deeply disturbing and call into question your judgment in hiring, and listening to, such an individual. I urge the appointment of a bipartisan panel to investigate you and your administration's actions, and the full impact of Ms. Sun's influence on the New York State government and economy," Tenney wrote to Hochul, according to a copy of the letter obtained by Fox News Digital.Â
Sun and her husband, Chris Hu, were arrested on Tuesday in connection to a federal indictment unsealed in the Eastern District of New York accusing her of acting as an undisclosed agent of the Chinese government and wielding her influence as a deputy chief of staff in the New York State executive chamber to covertly promote People's Republic of China (PRC) and CCP agendas. Prosecutors say the scheme, which allegedly also involved them laundering millions of dollars for China and using kickbacks to buy themselves properties and luxury vehicles, directly threatened national security.Â
HOCHUL AIDE ACCUSED OF WORKING FOR CCP USED POSITION TO PROMOTE 'EQUITY' POLICIES IN RESURFACED VIDEO
Tenney, in her letter, called into question Hochul's judgment in hiring Sun. Hochul told reporters on Wednesday that she found the allegations against Sun "absolutely shocking" but was still "confident in our vetting process right now," which includes "very high levels of background checks."Â
The congresswoman's letter said the allegations against Sun "call into question numerous policy decisions by your administration," and asked "what influence, if any, Ms. Sun had on these decisions."
"For example, numerous reports have detailed that the CCP operates secret police stations in New York City to monitor, intimidate, and control Chinese New Yorkers and New York State has yet to take serious action against these stations. Did Ms. Sun play any role in the decision to allow these police stations to operate?" Â
Last year, two people were arrested in New York City for allegedly operating a clandestine police station in Manhattan's Chinatown for a branch of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security. The U.S. Department of Justice said in the complaint at the time that the defendants had worked together "to establish the first overseas police station in the United States."Â
In her letter, Tenney encouraged Hochul to "wholeheartedly apologize to our Taiwanese partners for this detrimental impact that Ms. Sun's actions have had on the relationship between Taiwan and the New York State Government," noting how the federal indictment alleges that Sun frequently screened anti-CCP or pro-Taiwan rhetoric from New York State officials' remarks, fraudulently used New York State resources to assist CCP officials to enter the United States, blocked meeting requests from anti-CCP or pro-Taiwan organizations and leveraged her position for private material gain.Â
"While these actions have only recently come to light, we still do not know the full impact that Ms. Sun's actions have had on the New York State government or economy," Tenney wrote.Â
Fox News Digital reached out to Hochul's office for comment, but they did not immediately respond.

23 Republican Senators & 124 Congressmen signed an amicus brief to the Supreme Court asking for a 50 state ban on mifepristone, a drug safer than tylenol that is standard treatment for abortion & miscarriages, "due to safety concerns". The brief DARES to argue that banning the life saving drug would save women from 'reproductive control'.
