I rolled the end credits in Easy Come Easy Golf on Nintendo Switch in June. Very fun arcade golf game, filled with good vibes.
Easy Come Easy Golf is the latest title by the developer Clap Hanz famous for Everybody's Golf / Hot Shots Golf series. Their golf game expertise and pleasant design philosophy shows here too.
There's a twist on the normal golf formula here: you don't play as one character but as a team of 9 characters. Each character is assigned to tee off on one hole of the course and the next character handles the next hole. Your characters gain exp and their stats improve as you use them.
Easy Come Easy Golf was originally a mobile game and unfortunately that shows in the gameplay mechanics that have been simplified a bit. The triple-click shot mechanics are fine and work well but they lack the more intricate real-time mechanics that were used to apply spin in the Everybody's Golf games (here spin is applied on ball before swinging, not during). As a result the gameplay doesn't feel quite as engrossing and satisfying. Also the visual feedback on swings and ball travel has been toned down which takes away some of the excitement of making a successful swing.
Weather, ball lie, surface, etc. affect how the ball travels, just like in their earlier games. There are some differences here it seems and I still have trouble predicting how much wind affects the ball. Reading the green based on the animated grid is quite similar with earlier titles. I still haven't managed a hole-in-one on a regular cup course and I've been playing the game for some time now.
If we continue with the negative points, the music department here is lacking. Gone are the fantastic course specific tunes for example. Most of your golfing is spent in silence, accompanied by some ambient sounds.
The golf courses are well designed with some tricky narrow points, water hazards and bunkers. Carefully weighing the risks is a key to success - will you attempt to cross a lake with a top spin swing to have the ball bounce from the water surface or will you play it safe and take a detour, resulting into extra shots? Progression is a bit grindy as you unlock more courses and playable characters by earning stars from tournaments. You can also unlock alternate costumes and color variations for characters.
Difficulty level is very forgiving. The game's CPU opponents feel significantly easier than the ones in Everybody's Golf / Hot Shots Golf, so don't worry if you're not the best golfer out there.
What this game truly excels in is character design. The whimsical caricature-like designs really hit the spot for me. There's 30 different characters with a lot of variation on body shapes, ages, personality, etc. The characters have their own strenghts and weaknesses - some are great playing in the rain, some may have great power but poor control in their shots. Character animations are unique and quite humorous at times. Rosie Weaver, a calm teenage girl with bad posture is one of my favorite characters, along with the refined lady Madam D. and older grandma-type Bella Donna.
What I especially like in Clap Hanz's games is the way the game encourages you to improve your skills. Challenging yourself and noticing how you're getting better and better is an addictive feeling. Even if you're bad at the game at first, the game gives you positive feedback and gently pushes you to try again. You might lose a tournament but at least you got to see some funny animations when your character is boiling with rage! The cheery, positive mood is a great stress-reliever and infects with a good feeling.
My experience on the game is purely from offline single-player mode. The game also offers some kind of online multiplayer possibilities which require Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
Based on the single-player content on offer here, I'd recommend Easy Come Easy Golf to anyone looking for an enjoyable, laid-back golf game. This game offers a lot of good fun but it is a downgrade from Everybody's Golf / Hot Shots Golf in some ways. It took me about 45 hours to roll the end credits. After that there's still tournament ranks to reach and more characters to unlock so you probably won't run out of content too fast. I'm hoping one day Clap Hanz will delight us with a sequel that's been built for Switch from the ground-up, includes more finesse on gameplay and adds music on courses.

Everybody's Golf PS4 Servers Shutting Down In September
Everybody’s Golf PS4 Servers Shutting Down In September
Sony has quietly announced that all of the online and multiplayer features of 2015’s Everybody’s Golf will be taken offline permanently in September. This will make some trophies impossible to collect, though the game’s singleplayer and offline modes will remain playable. As spotted by Gematsu, if you check out the web page store for Everbody’s Golf on PS4, you’ll see a new notification warning…

Everybody’s Golf (Vita)
Everybody’s Golf (also known as “Everybody’s Golf 6” or “Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational”) is a golf game by Clap Hanz on the PlayStation Vita. I’m reviewing this game because I made a poll on Twitter where I’ve asked what I should take a look at. And because I never played a modern golf game before (besides We Love Golf on Wii, I suppose? I don’t remember much about it), it took quite a while to play/collect my thoughts/to write this. So anyways, let’s get into it.
The singleplayer has 3 modes: Challenge mode, Stroke mode and Training mode.
In challenge mode, you play 9 or 18 holes of golf against 19 CPU players with various objectives. Locations depend on the difficulty, the courses can be in mirror mode and sometimes there can be rain or a time limit for each stroke.
If you do well, you’ll earn points that you can spend in the shop for new characters, balls, golf sets, game artwork and so on. And if you get at least 3rd place in a challenge, you’ll earn a star which you need to face against a challenger that you can unlock in the shop once you beat him/her.
The courses all have a lot of detail, often have things being in the background (like a train or wildlife) and overall look great for a handheld game from 2011.
And is it just me or are the golf courses designed in such a way that you get punished for trying to be clever and making shortcuts with sandpit?
For a newcomer like me, I suck at golf and can’t imagine getting a hole-in-one ever. Sometimes, I think it’s impossible to hit the ball in a straight line but that seems to just be my imagination. Luckily, there’s an easy mode but unlocking it was a bit odd. It seems that you can only unlock it after losing a lot of times. I don’t understand why they’d do that? Newcomers would need to struggle (and potentially get frustrated) with the game and only then, they’ll get the easy mode. But what does easy mode do? From what I noticed, nothing besides making the score for the CPUs higher so you’ll get 1st place easier and adding a clover leaf to the menu if you used easy mode for the challenge.
Stroke mode lets you start whatever you want to play on and then you just play.
Training mode lets you skip courses, change the wind or redo shots which you’d think helps at learning how to play the game but when I redid the same shot over and over, I noticed that it often changes slightly. I’m not sure if luck is usually involved in golf games but that’s what it looked like to me.
Anyways, the music has this kind of relaxing Wii Sports-feeling to it and the graphics are often really good for running on a handheld. Manga-like graphical effects, like words that pop up for various soundeffects fit the semi-cartoony characters that you can also slightly customize. There’s even some added detail. You can use the rear camera to change the skybox to whatever the camera sees. Sadly, that makes the game nearly unplayable if you’re outside (to make the skybox actually fit the game’s environment) and you can’t make the screen of the Vita bright enough to see anything clearly. If you ever played a Nintendo DS (or 3DS) system outside in sunlight, you’d know what I’m talking about.
You can also touch trees and they actually shake. Using the rear touchpad to play around with the celebratory confetti on the ground is also unnecessary but neat.
Speaking of unnecessary: Your caddy. I don’t like their annoying and useless voice clips, but you can luckily turn that off. I don’t think it’s a big issue because of that, but just wanted to point that out.
There’s also something I’ve only noticed after playing the game for quite a while. If you use the rear touchpad while preparing a stroke, you can scroll with a glove through the golf course in front of you and it’ll tell you the length away from the player and the difference in height compared to the player. Maybe that’s helpful for experts but I couldn’t use it to my advantage. It’s strange the game’s manual never mentioned this feature...
Now let’s move on from singleplayer and look at multiplayer -- oh wait. I don’t know anyone close to me who uses a Vita and/or this game.
Uhm… then what about online mode--
Oh. The servers are dead. Well, that’s not nice.
But would I recommend Everybody’s Golf on Vita? If you want a difficult, great looking and portable singleplayer golf game… then the Switch probably will have one soon, maybe. But if it won’t get one, I suppose this is probably for you. It also came out on PS3 in 2012 apparently so… yeah. If you want an easy golf game, this isn’t for you, I have to say.

Video
youtube
Heyo folks, here’s my newest gameplay video! In this one I’m playing the PSP version of Everybody’s Tennis by Clap Hanz.
This game is seriously addicting and I love how the story mode is setup a lot like an RPG. The video showcases 3 exhibition matches using the 2 starting characters. I also play on 3 different courts as well.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video folks and I’ll be back with my next video soon, until then, happy gaming folks!

After the mission
**Sorry that this took so long to write. I had fun answering your guyes fun rolepaying askes**
When you all get back home you all have a good rest for a while. The PanPrice family after having a heart attack form worry paint eater recovered. The family was so happy to be back together. They had a great dinner made by Dave and fall asleep on the couch together. Triple threat all feel asleep on the floor together when they got home. Curtpa was up late with her fathers both re planning the wedding and signing adoption papers. In Reg and Right room they all were signing adoption papers but were also planning with skyorlar a new rocket. Thomas and Geoffrey were laying and talking to each other in bed after these last few crazy days. Hanz and Sledge came back from their mission and wanted to see if Cass wanted to hang out. But she declined and instead of the rest of the night she hang out with Milk in her room.
Soon life started to go back to normal. Curtpa and skyorlar have officially back part of the Toppat Clan. Both of you wearing your top hats proud. Soon after the Toppats were able to get the space station up. Everyone was so excited go into space but no one was more excited about it then the Wedding. Soon Sven and Burt were able to have their new wedding.
“If anyone sees any reason why these two should not be wed, let them speak now or forever hold their peace”
When this was said Reg and Right both held a gun in order to warn anyone not to speak. This made Burt and Sven giggle.
“Sven and Burt, you have expressed your love to one another through the commitment and promises you have just made. It is with these in mind that I pronounce you Mr and Mr Svennson-Copperbotton- Curtis. You may now kiss.”
Sven jumps into Burt arms and they do a small little kiss. Everyone cheers and clap for the happy new couple. You all celebrate and dance the night away. Eating cake and playing games. There was a group of single people for Sven to though his flowers. Though he threw them way to hard because they flew over the group and onto Rupert’s head. Dave and Rupert started to blush a lot and hind their blushing with hair and hats.
