time for fic-related questions then~

so something that's been on my mind for a few weeks now is how your Varda x Uinen fic mentioned that Manwë and Varda are basically just formally married and have other lovers. love the idea btw! now, do you think other Valar couples do the same? ^^

Thank you! For Manwë and Varda getting married even for the sake of formality would make good sense since they are king and queen, and have to project the image of stability and unity.

As for the others, yes, but I see different arrangements if one or both parties are poly or ace or gay, etc. For this to work they talk things out long before a wedding can actually take place, so that both parties have time to decide if they still want to go ahead or not, and to work out important ground rules if the answer is yes from both parties. Out of the others, the couple most likely to have such an arrangement would be Irmo (I actually picture him being poly or into open relationships) and Estë. The other couple most likely to have such an arrangement would be Tulkas and Nessa (these two are game for a lot of things, lol). There could be others, but these stood out the most for me.
