Since you asked for OCs to doodle... Here's Chron Knight! They're a lore keeper/archaeologist who guards a collection of powerful ancient relics and knowledge. Their magic allows them to slow down or speed up time in a localised area, so they're pretty tricky to deal with in a fight!

Go wild, I can't wait to see what you do with them! 🥰 And have fun, of course! That's the most important part!

The light was dim, it was enough for the lord to read the scribbled letters on these parchments. The last thing he wants is Frederick on his back chastising him to go to sleep. That’s easy said than done. Whenever he closes his eyes, the sound of the battles he fought ring true in his ears, he can smell and taste and see everything again. 

That day, too. 

Even time passed by, her image still hunts him. That aside, being deprived of sleep at most nights, it kind of helped him finish some of his documents. True at times he is caught by either the knight, his little sister or the tactician. It became a habit by now.

Sensing someone by his tent, he paused his work to let whoever was there pass by. Though for his chagrin, that person spoke about how naughty he was overworking himself at this hour. “--!? ... Sindri?” and the manakete let himself in tutting at Chrom. “Oh come on ... not you, too.” a low sigh as he rubbed his temple. 

Sindri walked towards him and snatched the quill, tossing it to the side before pulling Chrom by his forearm. “--! H-hey! You’re not going to put me to bed--!?” to silence his protest, Sindri kissed him, pulling him away from his desk whilst they by accident knock any ink over the documents.

“Sindri ...” Chrom whispered against the manakete’s lips. He felt his back pressed against something and it was the tent post. Another kiss left the prince breathless, feeling his face heated up. It felt so good, being kissed like this--he was almost drunk on this feeling that he did not notice Sindri’s digits made their way underneath his shirt. Chrom, too could not help but reach a hand to cup Sindri’s handsome face.

It was a hot second until the sensation of Sindri’s fingertips gently slide across his skin which made Chron let out a soft moan, breaking their kiss for them both to pant slowly. 

Thumb gently caress Sindri’s rosy cheek, smiling at him “I’m sorry. I was busy today to talk to you. Did you ..missed me?” there was a soft chuckle to Sindri’s annoyed huff. “Hehe, I missed you, too. Perhaps, ... I can sleep tonight if you were with me.”

I’ve seen some amazing Star Warrior/Knight OCs here on Tumblr, and I thought it would be cool to see them all together! So I came up with an idea to make it more interactive! I’d compile the knights together onto a canvas! 😊 Also, here’s a complimentary Nimbus!! 💚

Essentially, you’d reblog or post with a drawing of your Knight OC, and when I have enough of them, I’d place them all together in one giant canvas! With credit to everyone partaking, of course. You can also tag your Kirby Knight OC as “#StarWarriorOcCollab” So I can find it, if reblogging doesn’t work.

The only thing I’d ask is that the drawing has a transparent background (.PNG) so I could place them on the canvas!

ECLECTICLE 8/8

It's not the destination, it's the journey.

My youngest is now a college freshman. The trip across country had no major hiccups and transitions were smooth. Everything culminating with Move In Day. I managed to cry only once -- that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Welcome class of 2023.

8:00am Move In:

Check in at the dorm is in full force. As we pulled up at the curb, bright young upperclassmen -- brimming with the energy that can only be attributed to youth, quickly offer us help with our baggage. They have a pretty good system down. Like they've done this before. This may not be a bad process after all. 

Carts and suitcases, dorm fridges and bodies glide back and forth in a seemingly endless procession. New students trying not to look worried while their responsible adults have expressions that mix relief with sadness and anticipation. A father hustles past with a broom and a bucket of cleaning supplies. Sporting a alumni t-shirt still creased from the campus bookstore, he beams with pride. Over there is a look that says, "I'm tired, but we made it.”  Coming down the hallway are a mother and son, both wearing the same face, with a look that says "What have we gotten ourselves into?" I am feeling all of that. I wonder if it shows?

2:00pm Cookout:

Late lunch/early dinner at the dining hall. I had been expecting a big smoker or a large grill, but given the weather, I can understand. Tables have been set up outside in the middle of the road. The likely intention is so that people can eat communally under the cypress and dogwood trees and the bright blue sky with puffy white clouds. But it's in the 80's with humidity, so like many families, we opt for eating inside. #2 (my youngest) seems to be doing pretty well at this point. His usual stoic self. Myself, I am made happy by the fact that the dining hall serves chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream. Maybe things will be alright after all.

7:00pm President's Welcome and Parting Ceremony:

We gather in the historic Memorial Chapel -- all straight back wood pews and stained glass windows. Parents and families to the right, incoming students to the left. The parting ceremony, a long-standing university tradition begins. The words of the university president are stirring and impassioned. There is an acknowledgement of student leaders and staff. There’s music and reflection. Searching the opposite side of the standing room only crowd I see #2. I wonder what he's experiencing in this moment. Hard to tell. Still undemonstrative as ever. We, the parents, are reminded that our young folks will now need us in a different way than before. They will now have to navigate this space for themselves. We can cheer them on from the sidelines, but they need to walk this new path -- independent of us. Okay so maybe I teared up a little here. My son’s journey for this next stage of life has begun. His success is within him. And the forecast for the journey is good. No major hiccups. Transitions will be smooth.

What I’m eating:

 Waffle House

This just HAD to happen. Out here in the West Coast we don't have Waffle Houses, but it is truly a southern thing. The 24 Hour diner chain has over 1500 company and franchise owned restaurants and when I saw that we would be right near one I though when would I ever get the chance to try this again? It was everything I wanted from a diner and then some. Even #2 got steak, which made him happy. Thanks Waffle House for the good breakfast!

This has a quote from Deputy District Attorney Pamela Bozanich: "While admitting that the Menendez family was "not an Ozzie and Harriet family where everyone was happy," she said the parents gave them the privileges of wealth. She accused defense attorneys of using a tactic called NHI, a homicide detectives' sarcastic shorthand for worthless victims meaning "No human involved." WORLD BUILDING JUNE DAY 1: INTRODUCTIONS

Hey there, I've been wanting to do this for ages, but I've never been able to do this before unfortunately before today. But I want to change that so I'm going to actually try and complete a 30 day challenge for once in my flippin' life while at the same time get to blab about my old fantasy webcomic idea, Lost Resonant and finally get a semi-finalized plan for its worldbuilding. So shall we begin?

Starting off, Lost Resonant centers around a guild of four individuals by the name of Zachary Sanzeith, Ofelia Carmein, Wilton Drogo and Thomas Duncansson (pictured above clockwise from bottom) who are trying to survive fantasy capitalism on the continent of Adir by doing odd jobs and missions for people. Things might have not been so bad if they just didn't suck so much. Jesus Christ do this poor losers suck...Well anyways, they're trying to survive and also help keep Zachary's great uncle's old bookstore afloat too. Adir in general is difficult to describe in just one word, it has four countries but each one is more different than the last, along with a large variety of climate. It's an incredibly large continent and one of the largest on the planet where the story takes place. The continent's deeply varying climates and terrains, which range from tropical and desert-like climates, to mountainous and forrest-filled, also have given the chance for many different types of races and cultures to flourish on it. Some of these races are: Terreifs (humans), Zwercs (Dwarves), Horkos (Orcs), Ifreets (Dragon/Lizard people), Aoideans (Elf-Like “Sirens” that live on land), Cait Sidthe (Cat people), Albions (Actual Elves), Luche Sidthe (Mouse people), etc. Not to mention incredibly varying type of plants and animals. The four main countries of Adir are Chron, Virva, Sabrynag and Fauronos. To put it bluntly, each country is based around one specific fantasy aesthetic.

Chron, the country to east, is based around steampunk and is currently the most technologically advanced country. There is a huge focus on industry, the pursuit of knowledge (whether magickal or technological) and exceptionalism. It also has very Victorian and Edwardian-esque ideals. It truly is a horrible place to live. This country is also notable for its many sprawling cities and it's capitol city of Ordes, which is the most populated city on the continent (and probably the most polluted). It is also well-known for its various "guilds" or groups of people who are hired to complete different missions for people; mostly escort, excavation, extraction, etc. missions of the such and they basically function as jack-of-all-trades mercenaries.

Virva, the country to the south, is heavily influenced by Final Fantasy, most particularly the land of Spira from Final Fantasy X. It is a very tropical and sea-faring nation with a huge amount of island chains to the south of it, and a desert area in the north west. Though some of the islands are starting to push for independence from the mainland... It also is famous for its large concentration of Aoideans, a race who can manipulate sound itself and for being one of the only other country than Chron to utilize guilds. Also its capitol, Maris Aphronan is often regarded as one of the holiest cities on Adir. Well due to large number of shrines dedicated to the various Gods located within the city, with the most being dedicated to the chief Goddess Xephir

Sabrynag, the country to the west, is based around dieselpunk/the -1910s-1940s and while it was once a prosperous country known for its extensive precious mineral and jewel mines, a major economic disaster has caused it to fall into a bit of disarray. The gap between the rich and the poor has never been wider and while the elite stay in their glittering capitol city of Nephritopolis (well it's honestly more of a city state at this point), wanting to seem above it all, the rest of the common folk have to fight to survive in such a grim place. For the past ten years or so gangs have roamed the country trying to take as much territory as they can while getting into literal turf wars with rival gangs. This has gotten so bad, that there are various cities/towns that are entirely run by these gangs. Though in some cases, that might actually be a good thing since some of these gangs are the main reason why some towns even have protection, food, infrastructure, etc. The Grand Council of Nephritopolis keeps saying that they'll fix everything but let's be honest...they're in no hurry...

Fauronos, the country to the north, is heavily influenced by high fantasy/Lord of the Rings/Medieval and Renaissance eras, etc. with some early Final Fantasy as well (think FF I-VI). There is a great focus on military prowess with an even greater focus on chivalry, tradition and honor. There are numerous legends of daring knights based in Fauronos alone and while Chron may argue that they clearly have the superior libraries. It turns out that nothing can really compare to the expansive libraries run by the various Horkos tribes. Fauronos is also known for its many, many different walled cities either built into one of Fauronos' many forrests or fortified mountain ranges. The grandest of all of the cities being its capital, Rexhaven. Since the country is bordered by great mountain ranges (specifically the Great Eira Mountain Range), for the longest time Fauronos was essentially blocked off from the rest of Adir making trade and travel incredibly difficult. That is until the advent of air travel around 50 years or so ago. Now the country is open to the rest of Adir and it's easier to go back and forth without risking freezing to death hiking. 👌✨✨

Colonel Dyer wiped his hand across his face, fingers leaving muddy streaks across his already soiled skin. His eyes hurt. His head hurt. The entirety of his physical being hurt. He checked his wrist-chron. Thirty seven hours without sleep. Borsca was keeping the recaf coming fast and hot but even his adjutant’s famous, or rather infamous, brew was beginning to lose its edge.

Dyer blinked as he tried to focus his vision on the map in front of him. Things had gone to shit since the reports of daemonic manifestations had started rolling in. Now the crisp blue line along the Fortis Ridge that had once marked the Imperial battle line was now marred with red crosses and adjustments. It was all Dyre could do to keep the map updated. Perhaps more concerning was the fact that the biggest enemy push was happening along the Salient 24-20 and aimed right at his command post.

“Emperor preserve me,” he mumbled.

“That is my job, Colonel. And it is an honor.”

Dyer looked up as a heavily armored figure opened the flap to his command tent and walked in. The Colonel could just make out Borsca mouthing the word sorry over the man’s shoulder. “And you are?”

“Lord Inquisitor Gandrus Caelen.” He produced his hololithic rosette as proof of his credentials. Dyer couldn’t help but notice how much the man’s armor wheezed as he moved. The sound of machinery came in time with Caelen’s breathing, hinting at the extensive augmentation necessary to keep a man of his age up and running.

“And what can I do for you, Inquisitor?” Dyer had worked with Inquisitors before. They were a secretive, edgy, often unpredictable lot. He despised them. But he had to work with them.

“The question is what will I do for you, Colonel.”

Pretentious as always, Dyer thought. “And what is the answer to that question, my Lord?”

Caelen tapped the map with a gauntleted finger, indicating Salient 24-20. “You have an issue that needs to be solved. I need two hundred of your best men, Colonel.”

Dyer cocked an eyebrow. “Only two hundred? Have you heard the reports flooding in? Daemons, Inquisitor.“

Caelen was unfazed, and regarded Dyer with a cold, icy stare. “Two hundred,” he repeated. “I will supplement the rest.”

They came over the ridge howling and spitting profanities to their depraved god. Most were on foot. Some rode mounts that boasted hides of iron and steel and spat fire. All were angry red and wielded swords of ire. Corporal Chatham looked upon them and wished dearly for a few more sandbags and rockcrete barriers between him and them.

“Open fire!”

The order came and the entire line obeyed without a second thought, filling the rapidly closing distance between their lines and the charging enemy with a flurry of lasfire. Chatham had enough time before they smashed into his line to note he had unseated one of the screaming monsters from its mount. It was the last thing he thought about before that mount bulldozed into him, trampling the colonel under its hooves.

Gandrus Caelen snapped off a few shots with his bolter, but his heart wasn’t in the fight, not yet. This was a diversionary ploy, something to bait the daemons in and grab their attention while the real trap sprang shut. The first beast reached him, sword raised, and Caelen swatted it aside without raising a hand. The second one met the same fate, as did the next. The daemons broke around him like waves against a rock. Try as they might, they could not touch him.

The air filled with a bloody haze, red mist from pulped bodies hanging like fog. It only served to make the distortion more noticeable when the air warped. The smell of O-zone assaulted his nostrils and Caelen smiled triumphantly as his backup arrived.

The daemons reeled as they struggled to account for the sudden appearance of Astartes in their midst. Blue flame crackled around holy weapons and righteous energies sparked from open palms to immolate the unclean as the Grey Knights laid into their foes with zealous fury. In a matter of minutes, what had once been an unstoppable charge had devolved into a panicked route.

Caelen stooped and picked up the leering skull of a beheaded daemon. It’s black tongue lolled lazily from its mouth, and one horn was severed clean off. He studied it briefly, before tossing it over his shoulder. A Rhino APC rolled up, geared tracks grinding in the dirty soil as it stopped and opened its rear hatch. Caelen boarded, taking his time. Now it would be his turn to lead the charge.

And this time there would be no route.
