KB: "I mean, other than Gooey being a great roommate there are other reasons he lives with me. I know what Gooey is, and I know where Gooey comes from. I know what Gooey is capable of, capable of becoming."

KB "I don't think Gooey goes an' does what he does out of malice. Certainly not. From bein' his friend... It's like... It's like he does it out of curiosity. He does it because he can, and nobody told him it wasn't right. Can't blame him for not knowing an' defaultin' to what he already knows. What's natural to him. Like a Box Boxer chasin' its tail, sheep eating grass, or a baby crying cause it's hungry. "

KB: "While Gooey's powerful using stuff like lasers or flyin' it's not like Gooey's... good at bein' Dark Matter. He can't even possess anything and calling what he does mind control is being very generous. At best Gooey can encourage small critters to act weird. He can make ants go an' death spiral an' fish swim to his tongue, but nothing bigger than a guppy can be influenced to do anythin' bad. I'll make sure of it."

KB: "When I found him, he was scared an' everyone distrusted him. Course' that's the last thing he needed. Gooey's a nice fellow. He's one of my best friends. And that's all he really needed, a friend."
