Hello! As y'all probably know by now, musicals are a BIG interest of mine. So I decided to make a list of all musicals I ever listened to. Mainly because I like categorizing stuff.
Feel free to use this to recommend me something (I'm trying to make to 100 musicals lol), or use this as a recommendation list for yourself (I tried to put my favorites on top, but don't take the placements to heart)
Before we start, some ground rules: I'm focusing on stage productions and concept albuns. There might be *some* movies. I'm not counting Disney or this would be twice the size.
Also, I count "listened to" as in "I listened to most/all of the songs and know enough of the plot".
LIST:
S TIER: These are my general faves. I like most of the songs and know the plot back to back. Can probably talk for hours about them.
• Hamilton (My favorite by far. Nothing can compare. Best thing ever. I'll never get tired of it. Gets it's own tier)
• Jesus Christ Superstar (not even religious, but man, this has me on a chokehold)
• Epic: the musical (not finished but it's alredy good like that)
• Falsettos
• Spies Are Forever (criminally underrated, if not any other, watch this one, it's free on YouTube)
• Hadestown
• Warriors
• In the Heights
• Twisted
• Legally Blonde
• Company
• Les Miserables
A TIER: Really good musicals! Like 9/10 stuff. I think most of them are in this category.
• The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals
• Come From Away
• Dear Evan Hansen
• A Chorus Line
• Heathers
• The Great Gatsby
• Ryde The Cyclone
• Be More Chill
• Waitress
• The Count Of Mount Cristo
• Into the Woods
• The Unnoficial Bridgerton Musical (no, I'm not proud of myself. In my defense, it's kinda of a banger)
• Tick tick boom
• The Last 5 Years
• A Very Potter Trilogy (can't separate them)
• Chicago
• Sweeney Todd
• Something Rotten
• A new brain
• Newsies
• Grease
• Bare
• Nerdy Prudes Must Die
• Wicked
• Six
B TIER: Also good musicals, I just don't listen to them as much as the others and don't have many opinions about it.
• Anastasia
• Beetlejuice
• The Prom
• 1776
• Some Like It Hot
• Mean girls
• Joseph Tecnhocolor Coat
• Starship
• The Lighting Thief
• 36 Questions
• Mamma Mia
• The Mad Ones
• Rent
• Matilda
• Carrie the musical
• Firebringer
• 21 chump street
C TIER: They're fine. Might have some bangers, but I probably wouldn't think of them immediately when asked. Or maybe there's not enough content to justify putting them higher.
• Black Friday
• Ordinary Days
• Spongebob Squarepants: the new musical
• Shrek the musical
• The Theory of Relativity
• Catch Me If You Can
• Dr Horrible Sing-along
• The book of mormon
• Beloved King (only what's available on YouTube/Spotify)
• 35MM
• Holy Musical B@man
• Trail to Oregon
• Avenue Q
• Me & My Dick

Season 15 post Restoration thoughts
Back when Restoration was first announced I rewatched the shisno trilogy to weigh the pros and cons of everything getting retconned. I’ve decided now that Restoration has aired to do another rewatch like that but this time more just general thoughts and headcanons
welp let’s get started!
Oh hey this is actually funny
Still say Dylan’s original cameraman was funnier, they should’ve kept him instead of Jax. Frank you will always be famous to me.
KAIKAINA MY BELOVED
Bringing back Vic was a big brained move fr
On the topic of Vic I’ve always liked the theory that he was actually one of the alpha fragments, specifically the love fragments… hmm things to consider
The whole situation on chorus is also interesting… further things to consider
Oh hey look at that Dr. Grey actually sounds like herself. What a wild concept.
The reds and blues are actually friends and act like it? WHAT A WILD CONCEPT
Grimmons closet sex you will always be famous to me
But also Church basically writing gay smut of his friends is very funny
Man this is actually funny. Wild concept.
Nah but there’s a legit joke about them getting a bad movie bro predicted the future
Canon band au
I love how all the things Carolina mentions happening are so low key compared to the others. Like yeah Grif convincing Simmons GoT was real is wild meanwhile there’s actual dinosaurs
Yeah the whole red team and blue team thing IS outdated. Concept wild.
Genuinely love how you can tell just how much Carolina loves these idiots and their shenanigans. Such a concept.
“No he means Church” frothing at the mouth
OH HEY THEY GENUINELY CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER AND ABOUT CHURCH. WILDEST OF CONCEPTS
“I’m not in the military anymore” yeah Grif that sure is a GREAT point. Concepts are wild.
But also can’t believe we’ve had to watch grimmons get divorced twice
PROTECTIVE TUCKER MY BELOVED
Dead beat dad Tucker jokes my BELOATHED
Man remembering the characters ranks. Really concept the wild.
“We’re having fish” bro why did you say it like that makes you sound like a cannibal 💀
Loco you will always be famous to me
“You don’t have to destroy the past to have a future” what a great way to show that you can let go of the past and trauma while also honoring the memories of those you lost. Concepts really do be wild sometimes.
Damn I think I’m coming back around on carwash- I am not immune to hand holding and funny take off your suit bits. Platonic or romantic they make me feral. I’ll take it either way.
Freelancer death room is a genuinely cool and fucked up scene
As much as I’m enjoying this rewatch I still can’t stand the Sarge butchering that starts in this season and just get progressively worse
SERIOUSLY VIC IS A FRAGMENT HE LITERALLY SAYS “it’s me!” IN REFERENCE TO THE ALPHA
Y’all were right Temple is totally gay for Biff
Oh god I forgot about the shitty animation
Also werent the simulation bases started after Tex fled from PF?? And also after Carolina went MIA???
Rip Biff bro did not deserve that but to be fair the second he said his girl was pregnant he was doomed by the narrative
Caboose cursing my beloved
Donut is a furry confirmed
TUCKER ASKING CABOOSE HIS THOUGHTS AND EVEN AGREEING AHDKGAKSH
While I am enjoying this rewatch I think I figured out what always bugged me about this season. The reds and blues are the wrong kind of dumb. Like yeah they’re idiots but you seriously didn’t consider once that the blues and reds might be lying to you? Especially after everything that happened on Chorus?? But especially Carolina and Wash not really questioning it??? Like idk it just feels off
Temple has so much potential as a villain cause like he’s not wrong… and I think evil sim troopers is such a cool concept…much to be considered
Oh actually acknowledging how much they’ve accomplished especially on Chorus?? Of concepts to be wild
Another thing that bugs me is this constant use of “good guy/bad guy” language. just feel off for the themes of RvB.
Ah yeah Grif’s volleyballs
Grif might be able to give Wash a run for his money on that Sarge impersonation
LOCUS!!!!!
Locus-Grif team up my beloved
METAL GEAR REFERENCE SPOTTED !
EVERYONE BEING PROTECTIVE OF CABOOSE
But also I think Caboose not understanding death is weird like yeah he’s dumb but again not that kind of dumb??? Idk just one of those things that doesn’t entirely sit right with me
I do like the interactions between him and the team tho
Loopy Wash my beloved
Again will never forgive what they did to Sarge
Locus is gonna steal yo kneecaps
Ah yes Church’s obsession with fucking up Wash continues.
Honestly in hindsight I don’t actually love Wash getting shot. It really feels like they just use him as an angst punching bag because he’s a fan favorite. And this is coming from someone who LOVES angst
Also I feel like Tucker rushing out is ooc when a big part of his arc on Chorus was him doing that, getting people killed, and then learning that sometimes you gotta think things through. Kind of the start of how they undid and then redid his arc
OKAY BUT GRIF AND TUCKER MOMENT!!!!!!
Okay again this weird insistence of all the enemies being comically evil shitty people is very antithetical to the core themes are RvB
Everybody shut the fuck up the Caboose and Tucker moment after Caboose ties the guys shoelaces together is so fucking cute holy shit I am frothing at the mouth I love them so much
My hatred for anything time travel related remains
AUDIBLE GASP
GRIMMONS WHY ARE WE HERE MOMENT MY BELOVED
Yeah Sarge your monologues ARE better. Sure wish they’d remember what those monologues actually meant for your character development. Wilds the concept huh.
Man Grif choosing to stay with his friends no matter what. Truly concept in my wilds.
LOCO NOOOOOOOOOO!!
Oh god they hit you with the Caboose feels that should be illegal
Still don’t like that Caboose got to say goodbye tho. I said it last time but it’s too- fairytale-ish. The themes of grief in rvb have always been about how it’s unfair and a lot of the times you don’t get to say goodbye and you don’t get closure but you still have to learn to let go and move on despite it all. Want it noted this is also a criticism I have of the Chex stuff in restoration.
Furthermore Tucker really was prepared to create a time paradox in order to bring back Church AND THEY JUST NEVER CIRCLED BACK AROUND TO THAT???? Bro Tucker grieves Church so much and they just never address it
Also Vic’s sacrifice is further proof that he’s an alpha fragment
GRIF SIBLINGS MY BELOVEDS!!!!!!
Dylan’s speech at the end is very good and it makes me love the simulation headcanon more cause that means it’s technically Church, or at least what Church believes/hopes the world would think of the reds and blues.
Also can’t believe Temple, Bucky, and Cronut are all still alive and they just never brought them back in any way.
ALSO CAROLINA SINGING AKHSKAHSKHDKSJ
CABOOSE DRUM SOLO
Alright then that’s seasons 15! …. On my hands and knees begging for forgiveness S15 TAKE ME BACK IM SORRY I WAS EVER MEAN TO YOU!
But in all seriousness I’m way more open to this as a possibility of what happens next than I am Restoration. This is just glorified fanfiction and like it’s fun! I have fun watching it! I’ve got my complaints but still at least it gets that these characters care about each other. It may not have the strongest writing but it’s not terrible and you’ll catch me rewatching it and enjoying it from time to time.
… do I have to watch s16- can’t I just skip it? Please no amount of Restoration sucking is going to make me like that season. I might just skip it and if I’m ever feeling more up to it I’ll circle back around to it. In all honesty I think 16 and Restoration are on the same level for me. Bad seasons that I mostly ignore but I will on very rare occasions rewatch them if not just to bitch and complain. I do think Restoration is a little better than 16 but still easily in the top 3 worst seasons of RvB.
Welp in that case you will most likely see me talking about s17 next unless I’m just really feeling the self hatred enough to watch 16

I'm just gonna make a song to show my "excitement" for the "New Trilogy" and "Rey Movie":
**(Verse 1)**
Oh, once upon a galaxy far away,
A hero named Luke had his shining day.
With wisdom and power, the Force was his guide,
But the new trilogy pushed him aside.
**(Chorus)**
Oh Lucasfilm, what did you do?
You took our beloved and turned him to blue.
Rey’s no savior, she’s no shining light,
Just a Mary Sue in the dark of the night.
**(Verse 2)**
They said, "Look, she’s strong, she’s the one to believe,"
But where's the depth? It’s hard to conceive.
Jaina Solo, a warrior so bold,
Now left in the shadows, her story untold.
**(Chorus)**
Oh Disney, you’ve shattered the lore,
Old EU’s the canon we’ll always adore.
Ben Solo’s a whiner, an edgelord in pain,
Just a deformed clone of Jacen’s old reign.
**(Bridge)**
Stole Ben Skywalker’s name, what a low blow,
Bringing back Palpatine—oh, what a show!
Like Dark Empire’s echo, a tale we disdain,
You had all the riches, but squandered the fame.
**(Verse 3)**
So raise up your voice, let the banners unfurl,
For legends forgotten in this new Disney world.
We’ll cherish the stories, the heroes, the falls,
With the Old EU standing strong through it all.
**(Chorus)**
Oh Lucasfilm, what did you do?
You took our beloved and turned him to blue.
Rey’s no savior, she’s no shining light,
Just a Mary Sue in the dark of the night.
**(Outro)**
So here’s to the past, where the true tales reside,
In the heart of the fandom, our love won’t subside.
Though you blew your shot, we’ll always remember,
That the truest of stars will always burn brighter!

Today it’s the 20:th anniversary of the Lemuria and Sirius B albums!
After the Deggial album we started to write on a follow up, which would eventually result in Lemuria/Sirius B. But after writing a few songs I got a completely different idea and wanted to do a Nordic concept album, so I shelved the album I was working on and instead wrote most of Secret Of The Runes in a month time and we recorded that album instead. Later we would return to work on Lemuria/Sirius B. But what was originally intended to be one album had now grown to enough material for three albums. So pretty much the same story as with the Leviathan trilogy.
We though recording three albums in one go would be too heavy and if we did them one by one, it would have been too time demanding and I thought we would always have material for future albums in the loop ahead of us. So we did a compromise where we would record Lemuria and Sirius B together and push the third album into the future. The way we divided the songs was that we put the more straight forward and heavy/power metal songs on Sirius B, the more progressive/adventurous songs on the coming third album and whatever left would be Lemuria. But after the recordings, we would swap a few songs between Lemuria and Sirius B, so they didn’t become as style wise diverse as originally intended. For instance the Kali Yugas were intended for Lemuria. And the song Lemuria was intended for Sirus B, but I thought Lemuria was a great album title, so I swapped that song. There was one more song swapped, if my memory serves me right it was Abraxas.
Instead of recording the planned third album after all the touring was done, I changed plans again and we did Gothic Kabbalah instead. The remaining songs intended for a third album in a trilogy with Lemuria and Sirius B would instead become scattered in different directions:
Kings of Edom, Land of Kanaan, Kali Yuga III, The Shells are Open, Din and Children of the Stone ended up on Sitra Ahra.
One song would end up on Beloved Antichrist and be slightly rewritten to become the scene ”Signs are here”.
Two songs would be incorporated into Gothic Kabbalah. One song was Der Mitternachtslöwe, which had a different vocal line in the chorus, but was replaced with a new melody suggestion by Mats Levén. The second song was essentially the beginning of Adulruna Rediviva (the first 4:50 min) and the ending (final 2:18 min), which I decided to merge with another song we wrote specifically for Gothic Kabbalah.
So if you compile those songs to one disc (or play list), you get a good idea of how the third album of the trilogy was originally intended to sound.
BUT... there where were actually two other songs, ”Serpent Messiah” and ”Thunder Perfect Mind” which were recorded for Sitra Ahra, but were left out in the end. I plan to do some kind of leftover compilation some day (like there were leftovers from Theli and Vovin released on A’arab Zaraq Lucid Dreaming” and Crowning of Atlantis.)

Sequel post, things I like about RvB that are good:
Red Team my beloved
Carolina my beloved
The Chorus Trilogy was so much better than this show deserved
The pacing of RvB's jokes is breakneck and great
Every time they reference Halo it's fun
Burned out bitter Freelancers just kind of looking for a way to die vs the Blood Gulch idiot squad going "hey, you can come sit with us and not do that though???"

Thanks to my love of Halo being reignited because of Infinite, I decided to check out one of my very old loves just for fun, Red VS Blue. Every season is up and put together on Rooster Teeth’s youtube channel and I know the early seasons are super old so not every joke holds up but... like.. what the fuck. All I remember about this show was that it was a funny shitpost of a show with quotable lines and got super action packed over time..
WHY didn’t anyone tell me that this show getS SO DAMN GOOD?? I BINGED ALL THE WAY TO SEASON 17 IN LIKE LESS THAN A WEEK BECAUSE I WAS SO OBSESSED. IT MADE ME LAUGH, CRY, GASP, AND FREAKING CARE SO MUCH ABOUT A BAND OF MORONS JUST TRYING TO LIVE WITH EACH OTHER AND SURVIVE!!??
I understand now why this show lasted for so long.

I just wanted to rub my bit of salt in the wound and share what I think is a song that really sums up Beloved and Fitz’s love story (at least up to the end of Tawny Man because that’s where I’m at).
Star Sky
Here we are Riding the sky Painting the night with the sun You and I Mirrors of night Twin flames of fire Lit in another time and place I knew your name I knew your face Your love and grace Past and present now embrace Worlds collide in inner space Unstoppable, the song we play Burn the page for me I cannot erase the time of sleep I cannot be loved so set me free I cannot deliver your love or caress your soul so Turn that page for me I cannot embrace the touch that you give I cannot find solace in your words I cannot deliver you your love Or caress your soul Age to age I feel the call Memory of future dreams You and I Riding the sky Keeping the fire bright From another time and place I know your name I know your face Your touch and grace All of time cannot erase What our hearts remember stays Forever on a song we play
[chorus]
There’s everything in this song, dragons, past and future, fate, the “you and I”, recognizing each other no matter what, and the desperate knowledge that it is a love that can’t be whole but for a few moments in the story as well as the stars under which Fitz wanted to free the Fool’s ashes after burning his body you’re welcome for the pain.
This was one of the saddest declinations of the “if you love somebody, set them free” thing.

Anidala Week 2021
Day 1: Missing Scene or Favorite Scene(s)
Anakin Skywalker could not take his eyes off the girl. He noticed her the moment he entered Watto’s shop, even before Watto said anything, and he hadn’t been able to stop looking at her since. He barely heard what Watto said to him about watching the shop. He barely noticed the strange-looking creature that had come in with her and was poking around in the shelves and bins. Even after she noticed he was staring at her, he could not help himself. He moved now to an open space on the counter, hoisted himself up, and sat watching her while pretending to clean a transmitter cell. She was looking back at him now, embarrassment turning to curiosity. She was small and slender with long, braided brown hair, brown eyes, and a face he found so beautiful that he had nothing to which he could compare it. She was dressed in rough peasant’s clothing, but she seemed very self-possessed. She gave him an amused smile, and he felt himself melting in confusion and wonder. He took a deep breath.
“Are you an angel?” he asked quietly. The girl stared. “What?”
“An angel.” Anakin straightened a bit. “They live on the moons of Iego, I think. They are the most beautiful creatures in the universe. They are good and kind, and so pretty they make even the most hardened space pirates cry like small children.”
She gave him a confused look. “I’ve never heard of angels,” she said. “You must be one of them,” Anakin insisted. “Maybe you just don’t know it.” “You’re a funny little boy.” The amused smile returned.
“I’m sorry,” she said quickly, looking upset and embarrassed. “I don’t fully understand, I guess. This is a strange world to me.” He studied her intently for a moment, thinking of other things, wanting to tell her of them. “You are a strange girl to me,” he said instead. He swung his legs out from the counter. “My name is Anakin Skywalker.” She brushed at her hair. “Padmé Naberrie.”
Both Anakin and Padmé were laughing now, and their laughter increased as they saw the look on the unfortunate creature’s long billed face. Anakin looked at Padmé and the girl at him. Their laughter died away. The girl reached up to touch her hair self-consciously, but she did not divert her gaze. “I’m going to marry you,” the boy said suddenly. There was a moment of silence, and she began laughing again, a sweet musical sound he didn’t mind at all. “I mean it,” he insisted. “You are an odd one,” she said, her laughter dying away. “Why do you say that?” He hesitated. ” I guess because it’s what I believe…” Her smile was dazzling. “Well, I’m afraid I can’t marry you..” She paused, searching her memory for his name. “Anakin,” he said. “Anakin.” She cocked her head. “You’re just a little boy.” His gaze was intense as he faced her. “I won’t always be…” he said quietly.”
— Terry Brooks, Star Wars : Episode I - The Phantom Menace
This is one of my favorite Anidala scenes ever because their story starts so sweetly. This scene is so unique to them and after watching the OT, it’s fascinating to see a young Darth Vader as a sweet and innocent child. His interactions as a slave boy with a young queen in disguise is also fits with the fairytale-ish tone and themes in Star Wars. Anakin and Padmé’s first meeting is just precious.
This is probably the only time, Anakin and Padmé can be themselves without older figures telling them what to do. This is one of the few times Padmé is Padmé Naberrie - not Queen Amidala or Padmé Amidala. It’s interesting to see two young people from different social classes and vastly different cultures and worlds sharing a genuine moment of connection.
I can add very little to this scene but Anakin proves he has enough clairvoyance (as Admiral Motti mocks him in ANH) to be certain he has met the girl he would marry someday. Even in TPM, little Anakin Skywalker is just as much a slave to Watto as he is to the Emperor in ANH.
Even Padmé is somewhat surprised by his intensity at such an young age. Anakin also emphasizes on his identity as a person so this scene has dark undertones and references to Darth Vader.
Another scene I love is the chilling visual parallels with Vader and Padmé in ROTS. The stark contrast between their “deaths” but also the similarities show that they are still connected even while their lives hang in balance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Padmé gives birth to life and Anakin loses his humanity. She is in a well-lit medical facility and he is in a cold, dark one. Even their heartbeats are in sync as if they are connected via the Force (which could very well be true, since she was slightly force-sensitive from carrying the twins).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the mask lowers on Vader, he whispers (since his vocal cords are badly burnt), “Padmé, help me” and Padmé, always on Anakin’s side, hears his plea and tries to tell that to Obi-Wan with her dying breath. It’s very likely that she heard him through the connection they shared like their connection during the ruminations scene and how Leia felt Luke in ESB and but she was unable to respond as she had given birth and probably lost the temporary force sensitivity.
As Anakin takes his first breath as Vader, Padmé takes her last.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vader rises like Frankenstein’s monster and Sidious marvels at his new “creation”. Padmé dies all in white, like the angel Anakin believed her to be. The parallels are also reminiscent of the “Death and the Maiden” motif.
Anakin has always felt connected to Padmé since he met her and this is the last time he feels their connection. And that’s how he knows Padmé is truly dead and he has lost her forever.
Even the chorus “I am a Sith Lord but I could not save her” (even though the lyrics are actually Sanskrit) is haunting. This is where the colors of the republic fade and the black and white symbolism of the empire begins.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anakin is now Vader - more machine than man - and stands beside Sidious to assist him in building a tyrannical empire while Padmé dies and takes with her all the colors, love, laughter, cultural beauty, and freedom of the Republic era. Padmé was the personification of the Republic - a flawed but well-intended system and her death represents the democracy whereas Vader represents the Empire.
Her funeral arrangement makes it seem like she’s drowning like Ophelia - implying that she’s returning to where she belongs. (Her planet Naboo is mostly associated with water and Padmé has often expressed her love for water and lakes in AOTC).
Tumblr media
Padmé dying of a broken heart is also fits in with the fairytale whereas Anakin finds himself in a very different world after he wakes up - a world where most of the Jedi had been slaughtered and the survivors were declared traitors, a world where democracy doesn’t exist anymore. And he finds himself kept alive my machinery and he cannot die like his beloved, even if he wishes to. He is now very much a part of the new empire - with his humanity and limbs lost - and he gradually accepts his role as the imperial enforcer.
Anakin and Padme’s story comes to a conclusion here as their reverse arcs are completed. They have both come a long way since TPM and Padme’s experiences mold her into becoming more emotional and in touch with her feelings from the stoic, reserved Queen Amidala whereas Anakin’s dreams, compassion and search for his identity are lost as he becomes his master’s servant and becomes colder and more stoic. Padmé’s journey was to become more human and learning to put love and family over duty and transition from Amidala to Padmé as Anakin’s unfortunately was to become more inhuman and machine-like, from Anakin to Vader.
These scenes are where the prequel trilogy ends and the originals begin.

What’s a series that you are almost about to finish reading? 🥺📚🍂 . This is the year that the A Chorus of Dragons series is about to come to an end and my heart SUFFERS. 😩 It’s always bittersweet to reach the end of a beloved series. On the one hand, it feels great to have stuck with a series because you loved it so much, but on the other, it is painful since there won’t be any more books. 🥺 But have zero regrets and I highly look forward to reading The Discord of Gods when it comes out (and finish book 4 in the meantime 😂). . The System Divine trilogy is one that Isabel has been putting off but since we are about to get book 3, she is also mentally preparing herself for the finale! (I must also read this one since sister really likes it. 👀👌) . . . #bookshelfie #booknerdigan #bookwormlife #cozyreading #bookishphotography #bookvibes https://www.instagram.com/p/CZU58MhJdH3/?utm_medium=tumblr

Trending 27th - January 2020
What have been your efforts in the campaign for SaveWOY and what are your upcoming plans to save WOY? Now this is a question worth answering!
In the past, I made a little list of the things I did to support SaveWOY and bring awareness to Wander Over Yonder’s existence and its third season plans. Since then, I’ve done a whole lot more from hand-drawn art to more intricate art. Some of them are almost as special as that signed poster @peepsqueak got from the WOY crew as a token of their gratitude.
Here’s an updated list of everything I did for SaveWOY so far:
Attended the SaveWOY picnic at Griffith Park, where I got to sign a banner.
Pointed out various higher-ups involved in the business of Disney television.
Sent several letters to the higher-ups, some of which had envelopes with an image of the downed space pod taped to them.
Started a weekly Twitter post series, SaveWOY Thought of the Week.
Made Lite-Brite art of Wander and Lord Hater, which Craig McCracken and Francisco Angones liked.
Attended D23 2017 with an Operation: FORCE drawing of Hater, a colored page of Wander and Sylvia and a few facts about WOY, and an orange pen with a green hat (I got the hat from the aforementioned picnic) - there, I signed a bench with Wander and the phrase, “Never hurts to help.”
Signed my name, drew Wander (and my own character, Jacken DeBox), and wrote, “Happiest place in outer space!” on the highest beam for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Wrote a letter (and drew Wander) for the victims of the Las Vegas tragedy with the message, “The darkest times call for the sunniest smiles!”
Got Craig to reveal the name of the ship (said to play a BIG part in S3, made a cameo in Future-Worm) when I commented that we’d have to figure out the name - his response: “The ship is called The Star Nomad.”
Wrote a couple of cards to two Disney higher-ups with the message, “A little nice makes naughty think twice!”
Drew Dominator in a situation that might take place several seconds after she passes the downed space pod, just in time for Noël Wells’s B-day.
Made the Star Nomad with LEGO Digital Designer.
Made three images in the style of the original Star Wars trilogy VHS set.
Posted 50 WOYS3PredictionPolls on Twitter.
Made an image of “The First 5 Years” with over 140 individuals (including the question marks for 3 new mains and 2 new regulars - I still want to know what they look like!) and one cleverly made Hidden Mickey.
Shared WOY-related images from my 1st 5 Years fan art on Twitter acknowledging the B-days of most of the voice actors (Charlie Adler, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ken Marino, Josh Sussman, H. Michael Croner, James Adomian, Jason Ritter, and Piotr Michael clearly noticed).
Typed a summary of how I think the S3 premiere would go.
Typed lyrics to “Let’s Go Soarin’ and Explorin’,” a song from my aforementioned S3 premiere summary. Wouldn’t it be great if Andy Bean used it?
Made a microgame with WarioWare: D.I.Y. where the player has to spin the fan to make the Star Nomad fly. Part of a chorus from “Let’s Go Soarin’ and Explorin’” included.
Started FanCharacterFriday on Twitter - more Tumblr users seem to like Dr. Otmar Vunderbar.
Made a short comic page of Lord Hater trying to break out of the DTVA vault plus a sly reminder that Disney owns the rights to WOY.
Shared a list of potential episode titles for S3.
Made an actual LEGO Star Nomad based on the model made with LDD. Hopefully, those who worked on WOY have noticed. In case you missed it, here’s a picture...

Now, the ideas I have in mind for further boosting support for the campaign. I may not be able to do most of them myself, but they are certainly for everyone’s consideration.
Provide updated information of higher-ups (if any).
As soon as we find out what Kid Cosmic looks like, expect fan art of him saying, “Watch my show and tell your friends so we’ll make that Mousey Company pay for what they did to my half-brother!”
Another SaveWOY picnic - if there’s one in my general area, you can count me in.
LP album artwork of My Fair Hatey.
A mural identical to that of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate consisting of not just characters from WOY, but also characters who were said to debut in S3 and characters who’d fit in perfectly, namely some of my OCs.
Pumpkin stencils of the main characters for Halloween.
Drawings of various WOY characters stuck on the ex-secret planet explaining why they need to leave said planet. Maybe I could also show how the galaxy’s villains would react if they learn that Lord Dominator’s been bested by Lord Hater.
Drawings consisting of SaveWOY-related messages spoken by the main characters from Disney shows that got at least three seasons (e.g. DuckTales, Fish Hooks), tons of love from the viewers and the executives (e.g. Gravity Falls), or both (e.g. SvtFoE, Mickey Mouse ‘13).
Example with Phineas and Ferb:
Phineas: “We may be creative and famous, but we’re not the ones who came up with the Star Nomad. It’s the ship powered by orbbles! Orbbles! I’d LOVE to see it take flight, wouldn’t you? If you let Mr. McCracken end the show his way, and not the executive way, which, truth be told, is the absolute worst, Wander will surely be elated!”
Ferb: “The Orbble Transporter was invented by conjoined twin brothers, voiced by the performers of the theme song.”
Irving (peeking in from the side): “Speaking of voices, the titular main character sounds JUST LIKE ME! How could you possibly resist?! And look, just because I’m the biggest fan of these guys (gesturing to P&F) doesn’t mean I have no interest in what’s planned for the furry orange fella!”
Since I’m a full-time Disneyland cast member, I should be able to make contacts with anyone who might have more clues about what S3 would entail. It might be a long shot, but if I’m able to convince Disney that WOY’s influence on my life boosted my chance at gaining employment at the company, they should understand.
A weekly Jeopardy-type pop quiz on Twitter - here’s the catch: you must refrain from finding information online when you read the answer (I bet you that the most hardcore fans of the most popular shows will get most of the questions wrong).
Example: This arachnomorph got his name from a dog tag he swallowed when he infiltrated a fish-shaped ship. He later became Lord Hater’s beloved pet.
-Who is Captain Tim?
Summaries of S3 episodes I made up myself a while back.
More fan-made characters - my most recent is an elected official of Cluckon, Mayor Spye C. Drumstick.
Conjuring a logo that best fits the status of S3/TV movie - Wander Over Yonder: The New Galaxy (the center would have the silhouette of the Star Nomad with Wander and Sylvia on it).
Brainstorming possible ideas for the three new main characters.
If all else fails, I suggest we make a web comic based on the hints we accumulated back in 2016 and what we learned from the cameo in Future-Worm’s finale. Team Sea3on has been taking that approach for SatAM Sonic the Hedgehog S3, though they are also making an animated version.
That’s about all I’ve got so far. In closing, I have several questions to ask as the new decade kicks off.
Disney executives: Are you even listening to us WOY fans? What more do you want? I’ve done so much for the campaign that I feel I’m entitled to know everything that was planned for WOY’s third and final season, especially now that I’m working full-time for your company. If you tell us what your demands are, we’d be happy to oblige.
@crackmccraigen: Are you aware of how hard the fans and I have been trying to talk Disney into giving you the chance for true closure? We’ll make sure we watch KC when it comes out on Netflix. If we’re lucky, we might see WOY get added to Disney+, where it should get that closure, assuming you’ll have finished KC your way before then.
@suspendersofdisbelief: I know you’re super busy with DuckTales and you love the plans for WOY S3 so much that you can’t bear to reveal it all in one post, but it’s been waaaay too long since we got any hints from you. Are there any other WOY S3-related facts you could describe in much greater detail? The campaign could do with more motivation.
Non-WOY fans: Are you convinced? Need I remind you what’s in the end tag of the “last” episode of WOY? You know there’s much more to life than tales from the land of Ooo, a blue middle school cat boy in a world of unusual individuals, adolescent twins in an Oregon town filled with oddities, a half-gem half-human protagonist, a coming-of-age princess of Mewni, a trio of ursine trend-followers in San Francisco, and all that jazz. If you’re not one bit interested in Hater’s origin story and all that was planned for S3, it’s your loss.
Pessimists: Will you please dispense with this unnerving “Wander is dead” talk? As a certain Popeye would say, “That’s all I can stands, I can’t stands no more!” You’re not trying to let the Disney bosses win, are you? You probably used to think previously canceled shows like Hey Arnold!, Samurai Jack, and Young Justice could never be brought back. The point is, all is not lost.
@peepsqueak and WOY fans/SaveWOY supporters: Have I been of assistance? Almost every remark I’ve ever made shows wit and perception. I mean, just think. Wander is still stuck in that vault where his goal of reforming Lord Hater remains incomplete, and he has no idea of what threat awaits him. He says, “Glorn, help us.” It’ll take something big and extraordinary to convince every Disney fan (and perhaps every Netflix fan) to talk some sense into the higher-ups. Not to mention the replacement/back-up voice actors we’ll have to find if Disney takes even longer (we already lost one - René Auberjonois). We shan’t rest until we get the answers!

RvB 20th rewatch: s12
Aaaagahhahhsjshaj the mid point to the end…. Fucking agony
I never noticed the cabose written in bullet holes on the wall. Nice reference.
“I AM FUCKING AWESOME” that single moment made me fall in love with Felix…. Yeah that didn’t last
“Yay I have friends!” Me too Caboose
“You’re oddballs that don’t exactly fit in” I feel like the Chorus trilogy is just a love letter to what these characters represent to… well people like me who found comfort in a group of loser assholes finding strength and connection in each other
There is a warthog that is absolutely freaking out in the background AGDKHAKSHS
AYO Ray and Michael cameo!!!
SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER
Grif’s mental breakdown
Hmmmm thinking about Locus and Felix not being able to return to normal life after the war…
AAAAAHHHH THEIR STRENGTH IS THEIR IDIOCY
I do feel that sometimes they overuse animation in this season… I think animation should be reserved strictly for the most necessary and funniest of bits and bad ass action scenes
Caboose gets to be the one with a good bad idea!!!!
WHY SNOWMAN
DR GRAY!!!!!! MY BELOVED
It really was a big brain move to make the feds actually not evil at all and kinda just as pathetic as the rebels
HOLY SHIT HES BILINGUAL PLEASE DONT KILL ME
“You give meaning to meaningless objects and meaningless people and then risk your lives to protect them, where’s the sense in that” I’m telling you this arc is a love letter to what this show means
Gray is unhinged- she fits right in!
Bro just got incinerated
FELIX YOU RAT BASTARD
I felt so betrayed- in hindsight I really should’ve seen it coming but I thought Felix was funny
Yo I never actually caught that Locus hands the grenade to Carolina- for some reason I always thought she just had a grenade on her
CAROLINA BABYGIRL!!!!!!!
YOU FUCK!!!!! (Just so we’re clear that was an absolutely necessary animated bit 👍🏼)
AAAAHHHH EPSILON AND CAROLINA MY BELOVED AHSKHAKSHSKHSKSH
THEYRE SO SILLY
DELTA!!!!!!
THETA!!!!!
I love the fragments ajkdhakshksh
“Just you and me sis” I AM SO NORAML ALANSKLA IA AMANA SNORNSMNSK JAKAHSNLAJANKSJSKSHWKBSKSNKSHWKSHMSK
PSYCHOANALYSIS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!
Love that Caboose is the only one who didn’t do something to the ship
I AM AN EMOTIONAL TIME BOMB Jesus Christ
“I believe he said he was paid in babies”
Lopez a real one for being the only one to remember Doc
Love the conversation between grimmons back at the crash site. nuance about Simmons and leadership or something… if you catch what I mean… Restoration (what who said that)
“MY LIFE JUST FLASHED BEFORE MY EYES!! IT WAS AWESOME!!!” Quoted line
AAAAAHHHHHHH TUCKER AND WASH!!!!!!!!
Dr. Gray my beloved
TUCKER CABOOSE MOMENT!!!
Wash was pretty dumb to just accept Freckles without question but also I never questioned it either so I can’t exactly judge
CABOOSE MY BELOVED AHAJSJAKDHKSJSKDN
SO SHUT UP AND GET OVER IT!!! Caboose finally gets to be the one to tell someone to shut up!!!!!
“Just say you’re sorry” agskahkshskjsksAJGDKAHSKHDKSGSKVDKDJKSN THEY CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER SO MUCH
CHURCH TUCKER MY BELOVED!!!!!
“Seriously? That’s it, no ‘I’m sorry’ nothing?” Carolina I feel you but also if these guys weren’t completely emotionally constipated at all times I probably wouldn’t love them as much
Also Tucker and Church’s little moment of poking fun at Carolina is so cute omg
Trocadero you are truly something to behold
TUCKER YOU ARE THE BEST OF THEM!!!!!!!
Imagine if Tucker and Church had also gotten caught in Locus and Felix’s teleporter… wouldn’t that have sucked please god I already have a big fic I’m planning I don’t need another
COLONEL SARGE
Why is Carolina so damn BIG next the chairman in that picture ajhdkahsj
P.S. suck our balls
Being completely honest I do think s12 is a little bit of the weak link in the chorus trilogy. It’s not bad but I just find more enjoyment in s11 and s13 but it is possibly Tucker at his best GOD I love him… anyway, pain 🙂

RVB17 Ep. 2 Thoughts
“The Everwhen” -- spoilers beneath the cut!
Alright, wow, I am really enjoying this season so far. That sense of a cohesive story + conflict is something I’ve missed.
- Again, Donut the Hero to the rescue. I can barely believe we’re getting more character development in two episodes than in sixteen seasons (Somebody pinch me!). He actually has the depth he deserves and we must cherish him.
- Agent Maine/the Meta sighting? Fuck yeah! Doc appearance? Fuck yeah!
- Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this may be the first time it’s actually been truly addressed that Wash shot Donut. I’m 99.99% sure it’s the first time Donut’s confronted Wash about it. You can hear the emotion in his voice and how it hurts him that Wash is being taken seriously despite what he did to Donut. “Oh that was years ago.”  So passive, but that’s how the Reds and Blues always had acted about it. I think that’s all gonna change.
-I also appreciate that we’re getting more focus on how Donut has constantly been thrown aside. “Just shut up” sums it up. Where even if he was gone for a whole season, they didn’t notice. Donut has never been taken very seriously, especially as he always has been just the “innuendo” character. Now will Donut be aware of that throughout the season and continue to be more than just an easy source of innuendo jokes? Fingers crossed!
- Alright, so the scene where the Reds out on a production about time travel is one of my favorites from BGC and this was no exception. “NO, I’m from the future.” Way to stay in character, Simmons. And is it just me, or is past-Grif catching on? Hmmm...
- And I’m glad if there’s one thing this fandom, me, and canon can all agree on, it’s Chrovos’ new voice is super sexy. I love Lee Eddy to BITS. Very enjoyable villain.
- Wash. Washington. David. I’ve missed him the last few seasons and was sad to see him relegated to a minor role after fantastic build-up in the Chorus Trilogy, though I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of him in S17. Not only are we probably going to get the Donut-Wash team I never knew I wanted, but I’m getting the feeling that the “Wash shot Donut” conflict is going to be expanded upon and directly addressed within the pairing. Absolutely love it.
Can’t wait for next week! Potential sightings of some of our beloved Chorus characters as well? With my last semester of college proving difficult, RvB is gonna help me get through these last few weeks. See y’all next Saturday!

UTADA HIKARU & SKRILLEX - FACE MY FEARS
[4.73]
And here they are...
Katie Gill: How "Face My Fears" is a perfect metaphor for the Kingdom Hearts franchise, a review in multiple parts. Super emotional: Utada Hikaru's voice and singing, the ending of 358/2 Days. Slightly incongruous parts: that drop, the Gummi Ship parts in Kingdom Hearts 1 that were a pain in the ass. And finally, choices that make you wonder "hmm, why did they do it that way?" For "Face My Fears," this is the way the lyrics are translated and arranged, so you get awkward phrases such as "breath/should I take a deep?" For the Kingdom Hearts franchise, this is the entire goddamn plot. [5]
Iain Mew: On a scale of The Kooks in FIFA 09 to Faye Wong's "Eyes on Me" in Final Fantasy VIII this is... OK, I can't use this scale fairly because I'm not going to play Kingdom Hearts III for another five years. Perhaps in its context I would be swept along much better. As it is, I get a reasonable triangulation between JRPG theme, Disney ballad and "Where Are Ü Now" shuffle-chopping, so it's not all bad. [6]
Iris Xie: When Utada's vocals come in, they're so fragile and thin, like the notion of connection and love is melting and scattering into pixelated decay. Combined with the delicate piano work that sounds like a slightly novel take on both the guitar melody in "Hikari" and "Dearly Beloved," it has the potential to be another deep dive into another legendary theme song...until this song gives away to a horrific noise. That EDM scritch-scratch takes all that build-up, grabs it, and then destroys all the affect left behind by her voice, like a raccoon-driven accordion that won't stop skipping or whining. Complete with anonymous ad libs that couldn't be decoded through a reversed version, and is also a very weak throwback to "Passion," this is disappointing. Utada's strength is in completely immersing herself with her vulnerability and becoming incandescent, allowing a listener to melt with her narratives, but here, Skrillex keeps interrupting her instead of letting her flourish. Overall, we only hear glimpses of this potential here, and it emerges again briefly in the haunting outro and slight minor chords, but by then, the song has progressed too far and it's too late. All the magic has melted completely, leaving nothing but an upsetting, vague, dissatisfaction. I wish we had this song instead to end the Kingdom Hearts trilogy. [3]
Stephen Eisermann: Maybe it's my love for the video game that this song serves as a soundtrack single for, but I'm on board. Sure, the lyrical phrasing is, being generous, rough, but I'll chalk that up more to rough translations than anything else. The vague cliches work well against the incredible beat drop and perfectly summarize the lovely mess that is the Kingdom Hearts storyline. It may not make a lot of sense, but damn does it sound good, doesn't it. [7]
Will Rivitz: Trashing Skrillex is typically not just passé but inaccurate: the man consistently creates some of the most exciting, well-produced, and interdisciplinary sounds in an EDM market that makes its living rehashing its seven or eight in-vogue sonic templates ad infinitum. His remix of Pendulum's "The Island" represents a rare opportunity to scorn him accurately. A shambolic interlacing of dub samples, future bass cliché, and snares so overprocessed they sound like Kraft cheese; the remix is his first genuine misstep in a few years. It's appropriate that "Face My Fears" is the sonic face of Kingdom Hearts 3, as it's effectively a Disneyfied edit of the aforementioned remix, unwieldy interlude sections replaced by Utada Hikaru sounding for all the world like every other female vocalist Proximity has ever featured. At least the dub was interesting. [4]
Jonathan Bradley: It's not that Skrillex overshadows Utada; rather, he finds a natural complement for his ostentatious disintegrations in her searching balladry. Much as he did with "Dirty Vibe," he shows better understanding of East Asian pop sensibilities than might be expected. If anything, these electronic shards seem to underplay its lead's careful poise; it isn't clear whether they're decoration or centrepiece. [6]
Will Adams: We were never going to get another "Simple and Clean," nor would we ever get a remix that employed that sci-fi trance sound that was left in the early '00s. It's 2019, so we have future bass. That's fine; Utada's voice is still as moving. Except Skrillex created a drop that sounds like aggressive squeegeeing. [5]
Ian Mathers: Ay, there's the wub. [6]
Alfred Soto: There are scarier things than facing your fears with Skrillex at your side. [3]
Joshua Minsoo Kim: The Japanese version is better, but only slightly. That the title line is sung in English gives the song a welcome contrast in language. At the very least, it distracts from the instrumentation's tiresome "motivational ballad-cum-stadium EDM" formula (that the English isn't as clunky as the verses helps). I like the small dubstep wobbles in the second verse, but the chorus's attention-grabbing drop doesn't build on the hopeful yearning of Utada Hikaru's vocals. Like those sitting through the opening sequence of Kingdom Hearts III, I listened to the entirety of "Face My Fears" on principle. Like those sitting through the opening sequence of Kingdom Hearts III a second time, I'll want to skip this whenever it comes on again. [3]
Thomas Inskeep: I played this in the background while doing other things, and it played like background. [4]
