Dracarys…? Nah, not today! This isn't Drogon breathing fire, it's Luck the Dragon showering you with good fortune! 🐉🐲 Forget melting castles, Luck's melting hearts with its adorable charm. This friendly fire-breather brings prosperity instead of pyrotechnics, leaving a trail of rainbows and happiness wherever it goes.

Please…Don't forget me — Hey ho Folk! After like 2 Weeks on hiatus, I am finally back. It was not like, I didn’t do art in this time, but I was so busy with this art piece and look at that —- it’s finally finished.
And it looks so gorgeous. Definitely one of my favourite artwork of the year <3. Now about this piece: I really wanted to do a flowery portrait piece featuring a dragon or a unicorn. A while ago, I ran a poll on instagram and I was asking there, which one should I draw. Well it seems, dragon won.
Anyway, I also wanted do draw on a larger format, so I took my arches pad and started to work.
I decided for asian dragon and the flowers I choose are forget-me-nots and hyacinths.
Mainly, because the dragon looked a bit wistful and lonely… So a perfect fit for this mythical noodle. To round this artwork, I went with soft and cool colours. Although, it’s just a simple portrait, I really like it so much. Maybe it’s because of the details or the emotions that the dragon shows. I hope you enjoy this whimsical piece too :3.

Unexpected Meeting
I am guilty of often starting a painting before I am actually ready to do so, and should've done more planning; this is more true for challenge entries. This painting is based on an older Inktober piece of a farmer happening upon a curly dragon collecting its pearl in the forest. My sketch then was too rushed so I tried again, blocking out a model in Blender for lighting and everything. Then something else happened that's not exactly handy - it took me too long. Personal pieces like this take a back seat to jobs of course, but I paused for so long between sessions that I started to lose the initial vision, which in my experience is when things start to really go haywire. Once identified, I hurried up to finish it all before that happened.
I blocked out a basic dragon-like shapes in Blender to create a reference for the lighting. I love how dragons like this move like ribbons in the wind, and wanted to show it woven through the forest, like even at its size, this graceful creature has no problem moving through dense trees.

The River Dragon
I haven't talked as much about my Stars AU (it's basically an AU of my already existing Gods AU), but I made a personification of the star Eta Eridani, or Azha. Although I go by Ci online for the most part, my real name is in fact Azha. So I did sort of make Eta Eridani a self-insert in the AU in a way, but like. It's rare for my name to really coincide with anything so I think I get a free pass. Not that I am a star or a mythological beast, but that is besides the point. I imagine some stars in the Stars AU have alternate forms that they choose to take on. The stars of Eridanus are one example of this. Azha is that of a river spirit, and she tends to and frequently feeds the "fish" in the waters of the Eridanus River. In actuality, those who appear to be fish are those at an empasse, or a point of wandering and traveling in their life. As a star of Eridanus, Azha feels obligated to help take care of those passing through the constellation and safely guide them to the next point of their travels. I haven't properly written Azha's description on Toyhouse (nor have I done so for a lot of my characters but that's besides the point), but you can see her visual references for her humanoid form here: https://toyhou.se/21240257.eta-eridani-azha. Although I haven't gone back to work on it, I generally have been in a dragony mood lately. I love dragons and love drawing them and developing them. I was also born in the Year of the Dragon (2000), so I'd like to think that contributes. Dragons are really cool. I did make Azha a fuzzy river dragon inspired by chinese dragons and added some splotches on her face since it was cute, but it also coincided with her humanoid form outfit. I really should get that piece in question up on my other socials when I have a minute. Eta Eridani/Azha personification- Me (@circifox)
